Friendly, fast service, delicious food

It was a lovely and convivial evening. The menu is creatively diverse. There's also a daily special. The food was superb 😋 and delicious. My favorite was the wine list. The staff were always on top of us and were able to anticipate our every need 👀. The only thing that bothered us was that the music was too loud. Otherwise, we would have stayed longer and tried one or two more wines.

We stumbled upon it by chance and were warmly welcomed, even though we didn't know each other. We were very pleased with the food and the service, and were very impressed by the friendly staff. No wonder it was so busy. Highly recommended.

Spent a convivial evening there today, and it was very nice overall. The restaurant is quite large, there's room for everyone, the tables are elegantly set, and the atmosphere is cozy. I had the fried sea bream with potatoes and salad. The fish was cooked to perfection, but a bit too salty, and the portion was quite small. On the plus side, there were plenty of tomatoes and cucumbers on the plate – but everything was incredibly fresh and attractively presented. There was bread and garlic sauce for dipping beforehand, also very tasty. Panacotta for dessert, although I've had much better. The service was good, approachable, and also beautifully Italian, but he rarely showed up... and the older gentleman didn't want to or couldn't explain or describe the panacotta dessert. While it was a no-go in terms of service, the guys were still charming. Conclusion: All in all, the food was delicious, the price/performance ratio was reasonable, and we even got a schnapps at the end. So, I can wholeheartedly recommend "Giovanni" for a relaxing evening! 😋👍🏻😎

The restaurant is very large, so it can get a bit noisy and take a while to serve. But the food is delicious and the service is friendly, so it's worth a try.

I was there on a Friday evening in September. It was very crowded and rather noisy due to the deep, nooky space. The waiter was very busy and apparently forgot my request for the starter and main course to arrive at the same time. Apart from that, the restaurant was nicely decorated. The food (bruschetta and pasta) arrived surprisingly quickly and was delicious. The staff seemed busy but (apart from my forgotten special request) had everything under control. The price was definitely acceptable at €28 for a drink, starter, and main course. I highly recommend it.

Very cozy. Superbly maintained. Very, very friendly and attentive staff. We quickly got chatting with the manager. Very personable and friendly. I ate here for the first time with my daughter. I had a pizza with Parma ham, arugula, and pieces of cheese. Very, very tasty. Perfect value for money. I would love to eat here again.

Food was wonderful. We had starters of bruschetta, broccoli and spinach. Portion sizes were good. The bistecca nerone turned out better than expected. We asked for medium rare and received just that. The blend of the vegetables and sauce was perfect with the steak. Would order again. Panna cotta was good. Tiramisu was excellent.

It couldn't be better!!! We celebrated my mother's 60th birthday here, and I'm still thrilled! The waiters were super warm, really friendly, and went to great lengths. We were even allowed to bring our own cake, and they helped us serve it and really empathized with us, even singing along. The staff and the manager were so nice to us that we felt warmly welcomed from the very beginning. It was as if we were in a friend's garden. I've rarely felt so comfortable in a restaurant. Introduction was nice. Ordering went quick. Then the first issues began. We ordered 2 pre-courses. One arrived - the second one we never saw. Then the main dishes came and were quite delicious. After that the staff just ignored us more or less. No asking for new drinks, no removal of finished plates. Just us, a candle with a fly in it and the last sips of our drinks. Then not our waiter but someone else came and removed plates we finished 20m before. That person did not even bother to ask us if we liked the meal. Nonetheless I mentioned we want to have a dessert. Got ignored. Person turned around and walked away without talking with us. In the end I needed to wave at another waiter who then got us our waiter we last saw when we made our initial order. He looked disinterested, we paid our bill - which did luckily include only one pre-course - and left the restaurant. Chef was really good, but the waiters were horrible.

The service wasn't good..waiting pretending not to hear my call. Not sure if it is language barrier or just purposeful attitude. The seemed dancing without paying attention to the customers.

A highly recommended classic, large Italian restaurant with good food, a pleasant atmosphere, an outdoor terrace (although close to a major road), reasonable prices, and a very affordable lunch menu.

Very tasty food. Super attentive staff, not overly intrusive. Both the food and drinks were prepared relatively quickly and freshly. Special praise goes to the amuse-bouche; the cream is extremely delicious. Definitely a restaurant I'll return to when I visit Hamburg.

For me just a mediocre Italian. Very Germanized with lots of cream sauces. The bruschetta was just wobbly bread with weakly seasoned tomatoes. The store was formerly the Feuerstein and obviously not much was invested in it. Toilets (for me they are always the flagship of a restaurant) speak for themselves.

We visited this central restaurant before the musical and were able to fortify ourselves for the evening with good food. The food was very good, I wasn't entirely happy with the quantity, as you don't expect to eat a starter and a dessert to get full. What was still a bit dull was the sanitary facilities, which needed an overhaul.

Actually a 5 star store! On all points! ..At least on our previous visits. The last visit, however, was a bit disappointing. A different wine was brought than what was on the menu and was ordered. And when I asked if my meal was actually the spaghetti with scampi in white wine sauce, since it neither tasted like white wine nor was there anything between the noodles that didn't look like oil, I was told that it was "not white wine sauce, but "vaporized" in white wine in the pan". And with that he also disappeared from the table. Then why is the dish called “.. In white wine sauce”? There was zero percent to taste! That was really disappointing. Otherwise we were always 100% satisfied. Next time it will be another Italian. Then we'll come back and then decide whether the disappointment or the previous enthusiasm outweighs it. Sorry, but that didn't work this time.

Unfortunately we had to wait a very long time for the food. Yes, it was busy, but unfortunately the service wasn't good either. In addition, important information is missing from the menu, the spaghetti with shrimp was spicy with lots of chilli, but that wasn't mentioned anywhere. We were greeted by an older gentleman who had been annoyed all evening and were assigned a nice table without a reservation. The bruschetta was nicely presented without/with too little salt and garlic on bread that was far too thick and dry. Unfortunately the parmesan was quite bland. The carbonara with cream sauce...ok. Maccheroni al forne is unfortunately not a real treat either. Pizza was ok. A drink order didn't arrive at all. Unfortunately the main course took over an hour. Overall, the service was quite inattentive and didn't seem to be well trained. The cuisine is very simple and not particularly refined but not down to earth either.

I had a pizza parma. The ingredients were very good (ham and parma). Unfortunately, the pizza dough wasn't convincing and somewhat ruined the overall taste experience. That's quite surprising, as the pizza bread at the start (greetings from the kitchen) was quite convincing. Also had a few olives. Unfortunately these were not of good quality.

It was our first time there, but definitely not our last. Make sure you make a reservation; every table was taken. We had a delicious, very large mushroom pizza and penne arabiata, both highly recommended! A complete success! Keep it up!!!

All the waiters were super friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, my mom had had a lot of bad experiences with Italian restaurants, but visiting here changed her mind. We were thrilled! Very tasty, overall friendly staff, even if you have to wait a long time to be seen by the younger colleagues, you don't want to be completely rude. But older colleagues make up for this with humor, attentiveness and skill. Prices are acceptable for the quality of the food. It is also served nicely. A solution urgently needs to be found for the open window facing the street, which is kept closed in winter. It's very drafty and you feel cold. Masking is no longer enough. Overall, I really enjoy eating here. Of course I don't sit near the window in the winter anymore, but it's more comfortable over all the other places I've sat.

Unfortunately, the experience wasn't that exciting. First we were placed in the loudest and most crowded area by the window, which must look full even though everything in the back area was free, and then we were ignored for 40 minutes. We were then able to place our order, two different meat dishes. Not very complicated. Unfortunately, the same dish came twice, which we still accepted if it was corrected on the bill. Unfortunately, both portions were so manageable, as if one portion had actually been divided into two. I was so disappointed that I didn't want to take a photo of it. It looked really lost on the huge plate. Two small pieces of meat, as a side dish a broccoli florets, two half mini potatoes and two pieces of carrots and a mini salad. Really? The taste of the whole thing was ok, nothing special, but of course it didn't fill you up. Actually outrageous for the price: €21 per portion. Of course, the wrong dish was only corrected on the bill when asked. The two of us paid €70 for a glass of wine, a bottle of water and the two dishes. Far too much for what is offered. Service was friendly but a bit chaotic, even though the restaurant was far from full. Others' dishes were also swapped; sometimes three waiters came to the table, sometimes none. It's a shame, Italians only eat pizza and pasta to fill you up. We probably won't come back.

Amazing! I requested for a decorated “happy birthday” on the Panacotta dessert plate and they planned a whole birthday song as the whole staffs came out with the dessert with a candle and even put the dessert on the house. Immediately became my favorite Italian restaurant in Hamburg. In addition to the magnificent service and staff, the food was also superb! I would also say it’s cheaper on the price than other Italian restaurant with great quality and taste! The atmosphere of the restaurant was also very cozy, well decorated, nice music and just makes you want to go back. It’s located not far from the Sbahn station and is quite central. Love love love!

Very friendly service, proactive but not intrusive. The pizzas were excellent, I love pizza just as much! The washrooms are barrier-free and were very clean. Reservations are recommended during the week. Gladly again!

Trattoria Lili is conveniently located on Holstenstr. in Altona. Here you can get good Italian cuisine at reasonable prices. Great service. Unfortunately very noisy, especially at tables near the kitchen. Conclusion: food good, prices good, top service, ambience could be improved.

We reserved a table for 6 p.m. because we had tickets for the musical at 7:30 p.m. We ordered relatively promptly; the appetizer + drinks came very quickly. Unfortunately we had to wait an hour for the main course (salad and pasta dish). The food arrived around 7:10 p.m. We then had just under 10 minutes. The staff was friendly, but seemed completely overwhelmed due to the number of tables. The guests next to us had already left without eating because they also had tickets and there was time pressure. The food tasted solid but the meat was very stringy (turkey). The music was very loud at the beginning in the restaurant but a good Italian selection.

I went to this Italian restaurant with my family a week ago. I didn't like it at all. The food doesn't taste good, the quality is average and the staff keeps mixing up the orders even though they apologize for it. Due to the poor service, people left the tables and walked away. On a positive note, I would like to say that the rooms were comfortable.

We were at Trattoria Lili on a very quiet evening. A cozy shop, classic red/white checkered tablecloths, white candles. The food was good, solid Italian food. The house wine is recommended. However, the service left a lot to be desired. The staff is nice, but didn't take care of us. It took 30 minutes until we could order drinks and food, and in between no one came to the table to ask if everything was OK or if we would like to order anything else. We actually would have ordered a second wine and dessert, so we could have still made sales at our table. When no one came after we had eaten, we got up and then had to wait at the checkout until we could pay. There were four people working and there were 6 tables occupied in the shop. This actually leaves you with more than enough time to take good care of your guests.

The service: Very crowded Saturday evening, many people probably wanted to go out for something to eat before the musical. The waiters were overwhelmed, even though there were 6 people serving, there was chaos. No division of territory, everyone served somewhere at some point. The neighboring table waited forever for drinks, the wrong pizza was delivered next door, desserts were forgotten, no bread at the table, and much more... The runners were busy. The food: Tagliatelle with beef fillet tips... that was clearly not beef fillet, pieces of tendon were probably more like a normal steak in terms of texture. I hope from beef. The rump steak was sinewy. The sauce from the Vitello Tonato and also the aioli had the aftertaste of convenience food thickener to save tuna on the Vitello Tonato.

Everything fits here! Group of 14 people, drinks quickly taken and served. Starters and main courses went just as quickly! Timing perfect, everyone's food on the table at the same time!!! Mine Pizza Salami was hot and tasty, as was the dough. A big thumbs up for the performance. The service was friendly and quick.
