Unfortunately, pasta Carbonara is not real Carbonara. Oil, no sauce and definitely not guanciale. Pizza was just ok

Very tasty pizza, friendly service, and we didn't have to wait long. Prices were reasonable (not rip-off like at other places in the Südkiez). Service was friendly.

A true family Italian restaurant – with love on the plate We recently visited Trattoria La Famiglia for the first time – and what can I say: an all-round harmonious evening with fantastic food. The truffle gnocchi were a poem – wonderfully aromatic, fluffy, and perfectly seasoned. At more than fair prices. Even the bread at the beginning was a statement: warm, with a fine crust and a light garlicky note. Added to that, an atmosphere that truly has a bit of a family feel to it: warm and attentive. My only minor criticism: the lighting in the evening. A bit too bright for my taste – with a bit more subdued lighting, it would have been even more cozy. But: I'll definitely be back. Just for the bread – and of course, for the gnocchi!

I spontaneously went there with two friends, and wow. Just wow. I live a two-minute walk away and had no idea there was such a good Italian restaurant so close to us. The food was unbelievably good! I had truffle gnocchi filled with goat cheese, and it was unbelievably good! I'll definitely be coming here more often from now on! Super good Italian! 😍

Very good and freshly prepared food, tender steaks, delicious pasta, the friendly service was on point, cozy atmosphere, cute little trattoria, real Italians with very reasonable prices, bargains on the house at the end. We were very happy to have been there last night. So it still exists: good hospitality in Berlin.

Today (as you can see from the receipt) 05/04 we ordered a double Amaro Averna. Upon payment we received this receipt with an unjustifiably high sum (€34). We asked for explanations because the receipt shows that the price was multiplied incorrectly, and then by asking for explanations we were treated badly. Rude staff and apparently dishonest place, there are better and more honest places nearby, we will definitely not return again.

Absolutely Horrible Experience at Trattoria Família I don’t even know where to begin with this disaster of a restaurant. First off, they tried to seat FIVE people at a table for FOUR. Seriously, how hard is it to manage a reservation? After a painfully awkward moment, we were crammed together like sardines, with barely enough room to move. To make matters worse, the staff were unbelievably rude. No hello, no warmth, just pure indifference. It’s almost like we were interrupting their day by gasp wanting to eat at their establishment. And if that wasn’t bad enough, when we entered, the door opened and a cold breeze came through. Apparently, that was too much for one of the other clients, who had the nerve to start talking shit to us about it! As if we were the ones controlling the weather! A simple "excuse me" would have sufficed, but no, we got attitude instead. I don’t know what’s worse — the terrible service or the bizarre, uncomfortable vibe of the place. I’ll definitely be taking my business elsewhere next time. Wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy

I recently visited Trattoria LaFamiglia with four friends and, unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. We were seated at a table meant for four people, which made it extremely uncomfortable for our group of five. When we kindly asked for a more suitable arrangement, it seemed like there wasn’t much effort to accommodate us. To make matters worse, one of the other customers was unnecessarily rude to us, and staff did not step in to help resolve the situation or make us feel more welcome. We felt unwelcome and uncomfortable throughout our visit, which really affected our overall experience. I hope management can work on being more accommodating and ensuring that all guests feel comfortable, especially when situations like this arise.

Worst service I've ever gotten. Asked for a table for 5 when there were only 4 other customers inside the restaurant and plenty seats available. While trying to get a table some customers that we're already sat we're rude to us because we opened the door and the staff didn't say anything. We were told to take a seat on a table for 4 where we clearly didn't fit and there was a clear table where all of us would fit comfortably by adding a chair that would be out of the way. After sitting no one came to the table to ask for our orders and we eventually just left without even eating. Can't comment on the food but the overall service and atmosphere was very bad and made the whole group very uncomfortable.

A great Italian atmosphere with excellent, authentic food at fair prices. The service is prompt, the wine is plentiful, and the portions are generous enough to fill you up. The minestrone is also highly recommended. The meat dishes are of very good quality. Note: Cash only!

A restaurant that absolutely lives up to the nickname “La Famiglia”. Small and cozy, great Italian atmosphere. We had lasagna which tasted great. Service is also great. Absolutely recommended!!!!

Not a real italian restaurant. Just cheap but if you want to eat italian food this is not the place. Carbonara is just spaguetti with oil and 3 pieces of bacon (not even guanciale)

Family restaurant with special charm! 🥰 All great experiences have been celebrated here for years. The limoncello on the house makes the mood even better! The food is always delicious and vegan special requests are also catered for. We are super happy: service great, funny stories included & lots of Italian warmth. really recommended!

Very odd experience and behavior. Italian restaurant that doesn't have negroni or aperol? Then they said no Bacardi. Said that the Bacardi bottle on the bar is filled with just water. I asked for whiskey with coke, I may be wrong, but felt like the glass had homeopathic amount of whiskey. The bill was 9.10, I gave 10.10 and was expecting 1 euro back - he brought me... 77 cents. I valuated his service as 0, but he valuated it as 33 cents, quite representative what the establishment thinks about itself.

Very nice place. The food is tasty and a cassata in the summer makes for a great dessert. The food was served very fast, as well. Even the vegetarians were happy :) I wish the pizza had more cheese, though…

Was very disappointed today. Ordered the homemade pasta. But there was hardly anything on the plate. When I mentioned this, the young man who was serving said that I would just have to order two portions. That's why I won't go here again.

The carbonara was a disgrace. The lasagna was just a block of noodles with a bit of sauce and there was almost no seasoning in either dish. Nice service but unfortunately that doesn't make up for the taste. For me it's completely unfounded why this store has such great reviews. Unfortunately it was a big disappointment.

It was the worst lasagne I've ever had. All the layers were glued together on the bottom, and then there was a layer of cheese on top. Not ok.

It's very nice to sit on the street. However, the food tastes very sober and is not cooked according to traditional Italian cuisine. The waiter was very strange. The prices are very cheap but unfortunately still a little too much for the quality.

A small, very nice restaurant between Ostkreuz and Warschauer Straße. You are greeted in Italian and you hear Italian songs. The prices are really very affordable and the food is very good. The bread is homemade and parmesan was served upon request. Price-performance ratio is really great. The service is good and so is the ambience. Gladly again!

Restaurant is nice and looks authentic, as does the nice waiter. But what they are selling is a crime against Italian cuisine. Vegetables from antipasti have never seen any seasoning probably, cold cuts most likely from the packet from Metro. The black pasta with prawns, a cheeky thing, swam in cream, probably not even reduced, was even sweeter from fresh cream, prawns tiny, all unseasoned and lifeless (where was the lobster sauce). I was a bit disappointed. So an Italian doesn't cook there, unfortunately

Very nice place to relax and enjoy

My girlfriend and I have been to this restaurant on Saturday for 3 weeks in a row now. From the outside it may seem small and inconspicuous, but appearances are deceptive. We tried different dishes each time and were always completely satisfied with the food. Very tasty and served very quickly. No matter whether steak, pasta, pizza. Everything tastes good! The service is friendly and attentive, what more could you want? The ambience is nice for the size of the store and the background music is very suitable for feeling like you are in Italy. We will come back to this restaurant again and again and again and would highly recommend it to everyone. Salute!

We are a little disappointed with our experience at this place. We both ordered the gorgonzola-spinach pizza. Unfortunately, it tasted a bit strange (like snails, and I know what I'm talking about as a French person). We didn't smell like gorgonzola at all. To avoid staying with a negative opinion, we asked if it was possible to add a little more because the pizzas were really very disappointing. He accepted without any problem, but then charged us without warning us. We would have liked him to tell us this before. The gorgonzola pizza is really not very good, we do not recommend it.

Sweet little shop with very nice service. Unfortunately, my pasta was a bit tasteless - had to add a lot of seasoning. Prices are very fair. Drinks ok too. Pizza was average. But of course it's a matter of taste. Overall we had a great evening, although I wasn't particularly happy with my meal. However, 3 of my 4 friends were happy with their food, so I was probably either unlucky or ordered the wrong dish.

The atmosphere is pleasant. But the food is not great. The dishes were over-salted.

Reserved for six people. DAYS in advance. Arrived, no table available for us. On my birthday. On a Saturday evening. Of course, it was impossible to find anything in F'Hain for six people at the time. "In about 30 minutes" we could have had a table. The staff clearly didn't care that we also communicated that we had to leave after 90 minutes. In the meantime we should have waited outside in the rain. It ended up being junk food on hand instead of a nice birthday meal. Thanks for nothing, “people” like you should be boycotted.

Since my review has been removed, here it goes again: The owner is completely arrogant and makes you feel unwelcome for no reason. This has happened to me, and I've witnessed it happening to other customers. For example, this owner once attempted to remove/lift the plate from a customer who hadn't finished his meal yet. I still remember that customer's face of absolute awe. With me, even though I would tip, this guy wouldn't even say thanks, but rather throw an arrogant and rude "Ciao". Probably the most unfriendly service I can remember. Never again.

Edit 12.2023: After 2 years since my review was posted, and although it is 100% authentic and based on my personal experience, I was asked by the restaurant to remove the review. I stand behind my words, as my experience was authentic and based on my personal visit. Not only they don't care about my bad experience, it also took over 2 years to comment about it whatsoever. The overall experience was so abnormal that I still remember it even 2 years after, despite visiting many other restaurants since then. Original Review: I am just amazed from these comments here. There is literally no chance these were not fake. Mediocre Italien food, with literally 0 stars for service. No child chairs (only for babys) but they have a child menu. Appetizers arrive together with the Main courses, drinks arrive after 25 minutes and for the best part - the bill was verbal only, a waiter just arrived and named a number. What is that for a Service? If Google had 0 stars, it would have been a better fit.

A small Italian nook in the streets of Boxi. Finding a seat wasn't a problem as we went past the usual dinner time. My wife and I loved the pasta, pizza and tiramisu there. Literally everything we ordered was amazing and also priced appropriately. We'd love to come back here whenever we are in the area.

Essen wurde kalt und falsch serviert.Man hat keine Entschuldigung bekommen und wurde patzig geantwortet. Ich kann das Restaurant nicht empfehlen. Spart euch den Weg und das Geld für ein anders Restaurant.

Dieses Restaurant hätte das Zeug gehabt, ein wirklicher Lieblingsort zu werden: schön und gemütlich eingerichtet, nette und charmante Bedienung, günstige Preise. Am Ende hakt es nur an einem: Dem Essen: Wir hatten drei verschiedene Pasta-Gerichte und einen Vorspeisenteller, und nichts davon schmeckte als wenn man es einfach selber zu Hause gekocht hätte. Nur dass man da mit weniger Tetrapak gearbeitet hätte… Aber wer für wenig Geld an einem schönen Ort satt werden möchte kann das am besten zur Mittagszeit, da ist das mäßige Essen noch übermäßig günstiger.
