We were there for the first time yesterday! We were thrilled! Extremely nice staff, great service, great food! We'll definitely be back!

Food was great, service was very friendly, a small mango only had 2 hours time so you had to get up immediately. But the starter and main course and dessert were very, very tight. Cozy is different but it's ok for pizza. We would come again but not for 3 courses I miss the Italian coziness that is otherwise great

During our visit on November 5th, 2024, we were assigned a table for two while pizza was being prepared. After a long wait, we received a starter of baked eggplant, followed by lunch with salad and pizza or penne. The taste of the dishes was good to very good. We found the ambience at the assigned seat as well as the inattentive and sometimes grumpy demeanor of the male service staff negative. Despite numerous recommendations from our friends, we are satisfied with Da Pietro for now. 😢

You can spend a really nice evening here! The atmosphere is busy but relaxed, the service is really nice and the food is simply delicious. Here, emphasis is still placed on good ingredients. I recommend a reservation!

Service was very friendly and accommodating - despite the restaurant being full - and we even had to go back to our seats: there was a limoncello to say goodbye! We'll be back😄

A pure coincidence that absolutely thrilled us. Since we had more than enough time and just as much hunger due to the A8 being completely closed, we spontaneously drove to Esslingen. In short, it was sensationally good. We were greeted very friendly and got a table straight away, even without a reservation (it was right when it opened at 11.30, later this could be more complicated). The service was quick and attentive, the restaurant was simply but comfortably furnished. Now to the most important thing. The meal was an absolute delight, spaghetti in a parmesan loaf with black truffle. The best pasta in a long time. Unfortunately we were so full that we couldn't try the deserts anymore. In the future we will always take a short detour via Esslingen on the way home from Stuttgart; the visit to Da Pietro is worth it.

When we go to Pietro, we feel at home. The food is of excellent quality and prepared with incredible skill. Pietro and his staff take food intolerances into account and adapt their dishes to ensure everyone can enjoy them. Thank you with all my heart !

Best restaurant in Esslingen district!

We ordered pizza and spaghetti vongole. The Spaghetti Vongole only tasted like water. No taste and no spices to the dish. After explaining the problem to the waitress, the only answer she got was “oh sorry, our chef is on vacation.” There was no accommodation whatsoever, such as waiving the costs or at least a coffee on the house. Paid a lot of money for a very bad dinner. In the end we were very disappointed and won't be coming back!

A charming Italian restaurant in Esslingen. Known for its authentic cuisine and cozy atmosphere, I recently visited to experience the food and service for myself. The service was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Our waiter gave us helpful recommendations and made us feel comfortable throughout our stay. Our favorite Italian restaurant no longer exists... But we no longer have to be sad and go without great food. Da Pietro is a more than worthy successor! The food is very high quality, the selection is large (including for vegetarians) and the prices are fair. We would be happy to come back and highly recommend Da Pietro! When the weather is good, you can relax and eat outside on the quiet cycle path, as only a few cars pass by.

Hello everyone, While looking for a good Italian restaurant, I became aware of the restaurant through Google Maps and the rating. The three of us came in and were seated straight away. After we received the cards and placed our order, we also received the drinks and appetizers in a timely manner. Everything was going well up to this point. We then waited for our main course, which was only served after over an hour. When we asked politely about our order, we received a very unfriendly and disrespectful reaction from the waitress, telling us to be patient and others to wait too. After over an hour we were served our food which tasted quite good but in my opinion the price was not right. The portions were not enough for the price charged. Unfortunately I had a bad experience here and cannot recommend the restaurant.

Unfortunately I had an unpleasant experience. First the service personal was unfriendly and I waited more than an hour for my food even people who arrived later than I did got their food before me. When I let the waiter know that I am waiting already more than an hour for the food I got a angry answer from him. The appetiser was below average, but the pizza was okay. I would overall not recommend the restaurant.

If you want to feel like you're in Italy, Pietro is the right place for you. Dishes like in Italy from a chef who has mastered his craft. I don't understand the negative or strict reviews here. Pietro is currently the best Italian in Esslingen!

I had a salami pizza. Delicious. Sufficient tomato sauce, a real mozzarella and a good salami. No comparison to the quick pizzas. The service was quick and friendly. But the boss was so anxious to be quick that he created a certain hectic atmosphere. As a result, the ambience of the actually cozy restaurant also suffered. Somehow I had a bit of a feeling of being dismissed. Still happy again 😃

Hello guys, we had dinner at the Trattoria da Pietro restaurant this evening, and I have to say it's a really great restaurant. Super friendly and extremely competent staff. The menu is absolutely world class. We ordered various starters and main courses. It was just great. I'm happy I'm already looking forward to trying the other dishes, absolutely great value for money, I've rarely eaten so well in a restaurant, a big compliment to the entire staff, we'll definitely be happy to come back. My recommendation if you live or are visiting Esslingen you must definitely visit this restaurant😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

Best tomato soup in town! You should reserve in advance, it is always busy, which clearly speaks for the quality.

We ordered two pizzas and then after about 30 minutes we traipsed to the restaurant, completely chilled out in sweatpants. Because we wanted to pick up our Bufalina & Quatro Formaggi. Both pizzas were super delicious! 😋 We will come again. You have to know.

# Summary Not particularly good, not particularly bad # Eat The ingredients of the Pizza Fritta were fresh and good. Unfortunately, the plate was poorly chosen (long fish plate for semi-circle-shaped pizza fritta), so some sauce oozed out on the side, which I had to regularly try to keep on the plate (unsuccessfully). Luckily the problem went away the more I ate the Pizza Fritta. Another disadvantage was the poor distribution of the salami slices within the pizza fritta. There were some places without a slice of salami, but one place had 4 (!) slices stacked on top of each other. The apple juice was well chilled. # Service The head of the establishment seems a bit harsh and taciturn, but basically friendly. You take your time when serving, you should be patient for a few minutes, unfortunately even if you eat alone. My table had cutlery and cloth on the other side, which I didn't want to sit on due to the proximity to the next table. I had to put the cutlery and cloth over to my side myself, as no one from the wait staff came - generally there wasn't much interaction with me, there was no bread, no early question about a drink, no question during the meal whether it tasted good (only on... End) or final offer of schnapps or cappuccino. The waitress actually had time for that in between, which I thought was a bit of a shame. # Ambiance The restaurant seems clean, tidy, not loud and pleasant - but unfortunately a bit "minimal". The atmosphere is very nice and is what you would expect in a rustic Italian restaurant with personal charm in Germany, but that certain something is still missing to really feel like you are in Italy. # Conclusion Maybe I'll eat here again with companions, but I'd probably order simpler dishes. I'll probably try to find something better somewhere else in the future - I won't come here again on my own.
