One of the best Italian restaurants I've ever eaten at. The spaghetti in a Parmesan wheel – a dream!

A jewel of good Italian food culture in Esslingen. White tablecloths, beautiful dishes and glasses, all dishes are freshly prepared and taste excellent. Good-humoured, attentive service staff. You feel welcome and valued. We thank Pietro and his team for always giving us a piece of home.

Simply great! The team is super friendly, and everything we tried was a real highlight in terms of taste. Finally I had the opportunity to enjoy an original Neapolitan pizza - just mozzarella and basil, but a real taste experience! I'll definitely be back.

First of all, the pizza there tastes really good. There is probably no better place in Esslingen. But the service leaves a lot to be desired, this is the third time that you have been treated unfriendly and then pressured to leave the restaurant quickly because the next reservation is already at the door. I will avoid the restaurant in the future or get a pizza to take away. It's a shame actually

I had a lunch date with my colleagues. Unfortunately, an appointment came up, so I was only able to have one drink due to the limited time. The innkeeper was visibly upset and also gave me a seat at the head. This wasn't a real space, I just squeezed in between the others. When I wanted to pay he rolled his eyes and ignored me several times. Unfortunately the service is not recommended!!!

The atmosphere is very suitable for families, the treatment is very nice and I highly recommend it, and the food is very good. The fish and chicken are good, without rancidity, and cooked and grilled very well.

The topic of pizza and pasta in Esslingen has been rather difficult in recent years. But now we have gotten to know Trattoria Da Pietro. The food is consistently amazing. Pizza, the base is thin, the edge is fluffy, the toppings fit. The pasta made in-house, a dream. The highlight was the dessert, Tiramisu was super tasty and even better... The Nutella pizza. It comes straight from the pizza oven and has swept us, young and old, off their feet 😋. The next visit is safe. Parking on site is rather difficult. The restaurant offers its own free parking spaces in the parking garage around the corner (very friendly). Please always reserve your seats. P.S. It is also possible to order and collect food.

In addition to the delicious food - especially the homemade pasta and the oven-fresh pizza - we would like to highlight the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. You feel welcome and well looked after from the first minute. The ambience is cozy and authentic, perfect for a relaxed evening with family or friends. The staff's recommendations were great and made our evening even more special. A place we can absolutely recommend. We'll definitely be back!

We ordered at 8 p.m. and had to wait another 10 minutes, but that can be done later. Real Italians are at work here and you can taste it and see it. We had great service, at this point, best wishes to Adele😉, who supposedly doesn't sing as well as her namesake but can dance better, which she still has to prove to us😉. She was very attentive and not only had one or two culinary tips ready, but she was also not at all embarrassed with her snarky and kind comments. This is true Italy as I love it. The dishes and drinks served were all excellent, especially the red wine was great. I don't want to go into the individual dishes, there were 6 of us and everyone had something different. The waiting times between courses were perfect.

Everything was great! Great location, very nice, family atmosphere. Everything is made and cooked here. We ate pasta with seafood and it was delicious. I can only recommend it!

Our Christmas party at Da Pietro was simply wonderful! The food was fantastic – top quality and a real highlight in terms of taste. The warm service in particular made the evening perfect. FANTASTIC 🤩 We weren't here last night for the Christmas party, but for the Christmas feast!! A super cozy restaurant, beautifully set tables with cloth napkins, attentive service, good wines at fair prices and of course fantastic food gave us a great party. Delicious antipasti, delicious pizzas (Frutti di Mare with FRESH seafood, nothing frozen), great risotto and absolutely brilliant Scialatteli Ai Frutti Di Mare 🤩 And I've really eaten a lot of pasta dishes with seafood, but these were the best outside of Italy 👏🏻👏🏻 👏🏻 Rounded off with authentic tiramisu and a nice selection of grappa! We had reserved and had to wait a short time for our table. We were kindly served Prosecco to tide us over. Great gesture. The food and service were excellent. Very hospitable and accommodating. Gladly again.

We went to the medieval market in Esslingen. I came across the restaurant there by chance. Despite reservations, they still offered us a table for about an hour and a half. We all (4 adults) each ordered a pizza and none of us had anything to complain about. On the contrary, it was so delicious that it's a shame that we live a good 400km away. In any case, we will definitely eat there again when we end up in Esslingen again. The atmosphere was good and the service was very friendly and cheerful.

Were there for the Christmas party. Chef Pietro was there personally and took care of us. Food great. Dessert was particularly great.

Food was great, service was very friendly, a small mango only had 2 hours time so you had to get up immediately. But the starter and main course and dessert were very, very tight. Cozy is different but it's ok for pizza. We would come again but not for 3 courses I miss the Italian coziness that is otherwise great

During our visit on November 5th, 2024, we were assigned a table for two while pizza was being prepared. After a long wait, we received a starter of baked eggplant, followed by lunch with salad and pizza or penne. The taste of the dishes was good to very good. We found the ambience at the assigned seat as well as the inattentive and sometimes grumpy demeanor of the male service staff negative. Despite numerous recommendations from our friends, we are satisfied with Da Pietro for now. 😢

A pure coincidence that absolutely thrilled us. Since we had more than enough time and just as much hunger due to the A8 being completely closed, we spontaneously drove to Esslingen. In short, it was sensationally good. We were greeted very friendly and got a table straight away, even without a reservation (it was right when it opened at 11.30, later this could be more complicated). The service was quick and attentive, the restaurant was simply but comfortably furnished. Now to the most important thing. The meal was an absolute delight, spaghetti in a parmesan loaf with black truffle. The best pasta in a long time. Unfortunately we were so full that we couldn't try the deserts anymore. In the future we will always take a short detour via Esslingen on the way home from Stuttgart; the visit to Da Pietro is worth it.

Best restaurant in Esslingen district!

We ordered pizza and spaghetti vongole. The Spaghetti Vongole only tasted like water. No taste and no spices to the dish. After explaining the problem to the waitress, the only answer she got was “oh sorry, our chef is on vacation.” There was no accommodation whatsoever, such as waiving the costs or at least a coffee on the house. Paid a lot of money for a very bad dinner. In the end we were very disappointed and won't be coming back!
