A small cozy restaurant. Unfortunately we sat at the door and so it got cold every time it opened. The service was really nice and the meat and tuna were very tasty. Good price-performance ratio

We went their late in the evening and got a fantastic Dorade and an excellent Steak. The Pizza Margherita is always good and the goat brie on red beet carpaccio was a real delight. Highly recommend!

Steak and sea bream were to die for. Very friendly service. Very comfortable.

The worst service ever experienced in Hamburg. Food was not too bad (after correcting wrong orders delivered). Body language by waitress was not inviting to any nice atmosphere nor showing any interest in our experience in the restaurant. On the positive side, the food was tasty.

A small, traditional trattoria in the Karoviertel. The ambience is lively, authentic and loving, the food is fresh and delicious. The service was generally attentive, but sometimes seemed a bit stressed. Whether for a short vacation to Bella Italia as a couple or with the family, it is always worth a visit for me. Cave: It's closed on Sundays and they don't accept cards.

I haven't eaten such good lamb in a long time! And the dessert… chocolate mousse… simply heavenly! I hate to say it, but you can't avoid it here! Now there are more to come😇

Unfortunately, the portion of truffle pasta was really very small (more like a starter) and despite asking, there wasn't any more pasta. Parmesan was in short supply. The truffle was good though.

I recently visited an Italian restaurant just a 15-minute walk from Messe, Hamburg, and it was a fantastic experience! The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The food (Entrecôte steakk) was delicious, with generous portions at very reasonable prices. The ambiance is perfect for both family dinners and business meetings, thanks to its convenient location near Messe.

First ...cash only.. Normally a sign for me.. don't go.. but my colleague, a German guy.. was ok and paid. Grouwded.. to many people and you could see give stress on the kitchen. As often said .. I order the Entrecote.. and it was to cold if not even frozen when it hit the pan .. it's not blood on the plate.. but a mixture of water. Or condensation.. .and I tried to explain..I want it red. But they not understand..or better.. they can't do it. Probably because they prepared the steak in front?? The place was real full. I honestly think. This place is simply not setup to do a steak. The rest they served looked ok.. just keep it at the pasta and pizza..

We were spontaneously in Hamburg last night. We even got a table without a reservation. A great atmosphere and service, even the chef was there briefly to greet and ask if we liked it. Thank you very much for a lovely evening and the delicious food

Unfortunately, the evening turned into a complete disaster Due to a bomb defusal on Saturday evening, we had to leave our reserved restaurant and look for another one. The staff at Centro Lire went to great lengths to free a table for us. The drinks and appetizers arrived and were, as expected, delicious. Unfortunately that was it. While other guests who came after us had already been served their main courses, our table remained empty. When we asked about our order a second time, we were told that there were problems with the pizza oven, although the table next door was served with the same dish immediately beforehand (these guests also entered the restaurant after us). Almost an hour after the starters we were told that it would take a while. Since we were dependent on the departure times of the regional train, we asked for the invoice stating that we no longer wanted the main courses. This caused annoyance among the staff and we were shamelessly given the full bill, but we only paid for what we ate. Afterwards I realized that it was an interim invoice (i.e. not registered). Conclusion: If you forget the food, you should apologize to the guest and not make up excuses (pizza oven) and offer a solution instead of being sour. Two stars for the first 30 minutes. PS: Anyone who works with proforma and interim invoices should not be surprised if the tax office comes to take a look.

Didn't eat there. The classic. My little son urgently needed to go to the toilet, and only after a long discussion was he allowed to go to the toilet alone. As a father, I wasn't allowed in, even though he was afraid alone. Very unfair treatment of children.

Very tasty food, nice service. We sat outside, it was a bit “unquiet” at times, but far enough away from traffic. Payment only in cash, but it is also available everywhere.

The pasta dish I had was good and the other dishes were also very tasty. The waiters were very friendly.

The food is actually delicious, I have rarely eaten better spaghetti aglio olio, but unfortunately the restaurant was inflexible when it came to the ingredient requests of my companions and my daughter's pizza was just a pizza that didn't particularly stand out. I couldn't find a vegan option. The ambience (we sat outside) is ok if you don't mind the noise from the nearby main street. The service actually deserves four stars for friendliness and speed, but I deducted two stars for the fact that only cash payment is accepted (those days are actually over) and that my child was not particularly taken into account. I know this to be different, especially in Italian restaurants.

Nachdem wir schon mal ein Abendessen dort verbracht haben musste ich nun Festellen das der heutige Tag mega Enttäuschend war STARTEND :Personal mega gestresst Dadurch auch sehr unfreundlich und dem Gast gegenüber sehr abwertend. Lerne:Der Gast ist König!!! Falsches Getränk gebracht..reklamiert von mir ..es wurde versucht das ich es doch trinken könne.. Entencarpaccio bestellt wie angepriesen auf der Karte..Nicht da ist aus!!! Solle doch vom Rind nehmen usw usw. Wartezeit aufs Essen knappe 50 Minuten Und das bei einen Begleitbrot auf Haus mit Olivenöl. Eigentlich möchte ich übers Essen nicht meckern weil Geschmäcker sind verschieden Doch die 3 Hauptspeisen waren leider mega Miserabel Vitello Tonato Bewertung eine 4 Entrcote mit Gemüse für mein Kind eine 4 Spaghetti mit Garnelen. Eine 4- Einfach nur Schade für das tolle Material Also Leut vom Team und der Küche Bitte strengt Euch mehr an Lg tommy

The duck breast carpaccio with leaf spinach and salad was super tasty, crispy and beautifully presented. 👍 Balsamic vinegar was served alongside the salad; I'm actually not a fan of it (and usually forget to say it), so this suits me. But here it actually didn't taste that bad. With the fish there was some vegetables instead of another salad - everything was well prepared and presented - the cook thought of it himself and offered it to me. Otherwise, relaxed and super friendly service. The map is clear. In addition to a selection of salts/starters, pizza and pasta, there are only 2 or 3 other main courses. Recommended for a stop while sightseeing or a delicious meal with friends or even alone! :)

Hard to believe but true that even Italian cooks can get the pasta cooked wrong . The too hot spaghetti carbonara thrown in the egg and cheese sauce made the sauce more of a scrambled egg dish than carbonara. The pizza was editable , more of a German style one than an Italian but can pass.

Food, service and ambience were really good. However, the fact that only cash payment will be accepted in 2024 speaks volumes and is a reason for me to give two points less and probably make a different choice in the future.

Service was nice. Food was nothing special. Ordered tiramisu and got given half the portion I've seen from pictures in earlier reviews of the place. Not great for 7€. Wouldn't go there again.

One of the best Italian restaurants we've ever been to. The shop is very comfortably furnished, the staff is incredibly nice and the food - from the simple pasta with tomato sauce to the sophisticated dishes with fish, meat or carbonara - everything was simply above average delicious. If we are in Hamburg again, we would like to come back.

Una piacevole sorpresa. Trovato per caso, e nonostante il ‘cash only’ che nel 2024 dovrebbe essere superato, la qualità si è rivelata eccellente. Nella stessa settimana di permanenza ad Amburgo ho infine cenato tre volte al ‘Cento Lire’ per provarlo su vari fronti. Devo essere onesto: mi sono divertito, piatti ottimi (un rigatone al sugo di pomodoro e basilico che mi ha evocato ricordi antichi, una caponata sublime, la pizza più che decente per essere in Germania del Nord, un’ottima lasagna) sono stato bene, l’atmosfera è piacevole e intima. Le ragazze si muovono come farfalle leggere tra i tavoli e sorridono sempre. Tra loro, Cristina mi è rimasta nel cuore. Grazie!

Waren durch n "Doppeldate" zufällig dort gelandet, weil das Restaurant wo wir eigentlich hin wollten voll war und wir waren am Ende alle sehr froh darüber das es so war. Alles war einfach unendlich köstlich & sehr schön angerichtet, wundervolle Atmosphäre, mega freundliche & herzliche Bedienung und die Preise sind mehr als fair, kann ich wirklich nur empfehlen. Ich selbst hatte ne Pizza und das Tiramisu als Dessert, aber wir waren alle 4 absolut begeistert von jedem Gericht was wir hatten, auch von den Vorspeisen und der Pasta und ich bin mir sicher alles was sonst noch auf der Karte steht ist bestimmt genauso unglaublich lecker. Gehen ab jetzt immer mal wieder gern dorthin.

Wir waren nun zum wiederholten Male in dieser gemütlichen Pizzeria. Eine Pizzeria zum wohlfühlen für alle Sinne. Ich kann immer wieder die Pasta, egal in welcher Variation, nur empfehlen. Mein absolutes Highlight, Vitello Tonnato. Auch die Pizza, einfach lecker. Alle Kräfte sind stets bemüht das man sich wohl fühlt..Freuen uns schon jetzt auf unser nächstes Mal:-)

Einer unserer Lieblingsitaliener in Hamburg. Es wird auf die Wünsche des Kunden eingegangen. Wichtig beim Besuch, Cash only. Sonst sind alle Mitarbeiter und Mitarbeiterinnen sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Lokal ist schön dekoriert und es lässt sich durchaus ein romantischer Abend vor Ort gestalten.

Immer sehr leckeres Essen, es gibt ab 12:00 Uhr in der Woche auch Mittagstisch.

Sehr nettes familiengeführtes Restaurant. Gemütliche Aussenplätze. Die Trüffelpizza schmeckt dort sehr gut, auch der Beilagensalat ist sehr gut abgeschmeckt. Hatten noch Seeteufel war eine großzügige Portion an Fisch. Schön ist auch, dass alkoholfreie apperetivos schön serviert werden. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam. Gerne wieder.

Sehr gutes Essen und die attraktivste Bedienung in ganz Hamburg

Pizza Buona, cordialità, ma supra Tutto un Vero espresso.

Naja. Wieso dieser Italiener als authentisch bezeichnet wird, ist mir rätselhaft. Eigentlich wollte ich Tagliatelle mit Trüffeln bestellen, als ich aber erfuhr, dass die Tagliatelle vorgekocht sind und es nicht garantiert sei, dass sie dann al dente serviert werden können, (Eine sehr ehrliche Antwort der sehr sympathischen Kellnerin) habe ich davon Abstand genommen. Bei einem Gericht, dass 24,50 Euro kosten soll, ist das schon sehr merkwürdig. Der dann bestellte Kabeljau agro dolce war mittelmäßig, die Kartoffeln auch vorgekocht und gebraten dementsprechend. Der Salat dazu war sehr gut. Nein, das ist leider keinen zweiten Besuch wert.

4 Sterne wegen des maßlos überforderten Personals und langer Wartezeiten. Das Lokal ist an sich ein klassischer Italiener, wie man ihn erwarten würde. Rustikal und gemütlich eingerichtet. Auch draußen sitzt man gut und überdacht. Die Pizzen waren sehr gut, das Antipasti eines Freundes jedoch ziemlich lieblos angerichtet und mengenmäßig eher wenig.

This place provides amazing quality food at reasonable prices. The service is spot on. I had the carbonara and it was one of the best Italian dishes I have had!

Obwohl es noch nicht richtig voll war, schien die nette Bedienung ausgelastet und selbst die Wartezeit, bis wir Getränke bestellen konnten, war recht lang. So ging es auch weiter. Die Vorspeise fand ich sehr lecker (vitello tonnato), das nachfolgende Pastagericht mochte ich nicht: Die Sauce hatte weder eine mir angenehme Konsistenz, noch hat sie mir geschmeckt. Aber der Rotwein war gut! Für die gebotene Gesamtqualität fand ich das Lokal eindeutig zu teuer. War trotzdem ein netter Abend.

Die Trattoria Cento Lire liegt direkt ggü. des Messeeingangs Süd und der U-Bahn Haltestelle Messehallen. Die Speisekarte ist abwechslungsreich und das Ambiente ist ganz schön. Leider ist die Geräuschkulisse aber kaum auszuhalten, eine normale Konversation am eigenen Tisch war im vollen Restaurant nicht möglich. Die Rigatoni Bolognese waren in Ordnung, jedoch habe ich schon deutlich bessere gegessen. Schade, für den aufgerufenen Preis hatte ich mehr erwartet.

Endlich mal wieder zum Mittagstisch im Cento, unserem Lieblings-Wohlfühlort ❤👌👍Superlecker, glücklichmachend, liebe, herzliche Menschen, dankeschön 🥰🤗

Wir haben diesen schönen Italiener durch Google gefunden. Wir wurden nett begrüßt und konnten uns einen schönen Tisch raussuchen. Zum Essen haben wir uns für eine Pizza entschieden, die wir hier bei den Rezensionen auf einem Foto gesehen haben. Enttäuscht wurden wir definitiv nicht. Die Pizza war wirklich SUPER! Diesen Italiener können wir gut weiterempfehlen. Einziges Manko ist für uns, dass hier in bar bezahlt werden muss! Sonst ein schönes Restaurant in toller Ambiente und toller Pizza!

I have been here three times. It is a very cosy and warm experience each time. We have tried several dishes. Each of them was prepared with full attention to taste and honesty. The boss himself was very friendly and effective. We will be here next year as well.

Ik heb hier heerlijk gegeten en de service was top! Een hele vriendelijke gastvrouw. Ik kwam 45 minuten voor sluitingstijd aan en ze gaf me geen gevoel dat ik na die 45 minuten meteen moest gaan. Heel gastvrij!

WORST service ever!!! 15 minutes waiting for the menu after 2 calls, that we'd like to have the menu! Need to remind on each step about fork and knife, about sugar for the coffee etc. After asking 2 times the bill and having to remind again, the answer by the owner were: "we have lunch right now". I was shocked. Never, never again. CC are not accepted.

Pizza margherita con pomodoro a fette sopra (???), mangiabile ma mediocre e sicuramente non vale i 10,50 euro. La signora (credo la proprietaria) molto scorbutica. Si paga solo cash (e me l’hanno detto solo al momento del conto) e hanno voluto che lasciassi il mio passaporto mentre andavo a prelevare ad un ATM in una zona poco raccomandabile. Da evitare!

Essen war gut, Preis angemessen. Besonders hervorzuheben war die aufmerksame und zuvorkommende Bedienung. Das Ambiente war auch nett.

Wir waren zu viert im Cento Lire - es gäbe Positives zu berichten - liebenswert-chaotischer Service, gutes Essen, freundliche Atmosphäre, wenngleich etwas laut aufgrund der Fülle. Voll war es, man musste sehr laut sprechen, um sich verstehen zu können - und dann fällt einem auf, dass die Mitarbeiterinnen keinen der Gäste auf Corona-Status gefragt oder überprüft haben. Auf Nachfrage wurden dann wir vier kontrolliert, und am Nebentisch noch die erste Person - das war's dann aber. Kein Wunder, dass auch in Hamburg die Corona-Zahlen wieder steil nach oben gehen.

Tolle abwechselnde Tageskarte mit ausschließlich frischen Zutaten! Qualität und Geschmack ist Oberklasse! Zudem ist das Personal (vor allem der Chef) super freundlich. Wir wurden als Bayern mit Lederhosen herzlichst empfangen! Alles bestens!

Es bleibt jedem überlassen wie er folgenden Aufenthalt bewerten würde: 24.07.21, 18:10 Uhr: Check in mit 6 durstigen und hungrigen Personen am reserviertem Tisch. Das Restaurant ist gut besucht. Die 2 Bedienungen im Service sind offensichtlich total überfordert! Arroganter Inhaber. 18:45 Uhr: Endlich ist die Bestellung für die ersten Getränke möglich 19:00 Uhr: Getränke werden gebracht und wir können (endlich) das Essen bestellen. Nichts kompliziertes: nur Pizzen, Pasta, Salat und Bruschetta. 20:00 Uhr!: Essen kommt. Qualität ok! 20:40 Uhr: Rechnung kommt. Summe 146.80€. Wir zahlen 150€. (Mehr Trinkgeld war dieser Service nicht wert) Die Bedienung beschwert sich und möchte allerdings 10% Tip! Wirklich unverschämt ! Wir gehen und werden nie mehr wiederkommen. Schade!

Der Abend begann mit einer etwas griffigen Begrüßung durch den Service. Lockerte sich jedoch zusehends über den Abend. Hier bekommt man zu moderaten Preisen, aus ein sehr übersichtlichen Karte frisch zubereitete Pizzen und Drinks. Gern einen Besuch wert.

Directly opposite the Messe, in the Karolinenviertel district, this is a gem. Locals know it but the owners are comfortable with tourists. The meals are generous and the wine delicious. Highly recommended both for service and quality.

Saw this restaurant as we returned from the convention site. Plenty of customers there at lunch, so thought we would try it for an early dinner at 6 PM. To us, it was very European in the style, lots of outside dining and casual. the menu seemed limited in the offerings but had a meal for everyone's taste. The house wine was very good, I had a Pinot Gris and the food was delicious served in the correct portion. Family friendly, very casual & great service.

We ordered several items from starters to deserts and all of them were lovely. The only thing they didn’t have was some hot chili 😊. I love my chili ... Very very reasonably priced too. Go and try, you’ll surely enjoy.

Place was recommended by our hotel concierge and we were glad we went! People were queueing to get in, but waiter quickly found us a small table. Pizze ~€8, but also pricier dishes (truffle pasta with a mountain of grated truffle for ~€25). Friendly place, large portions of high quality. Only downside: cash only, so do visit a cash machine before splashing out on those truffle linguine.

I visited Cento Lire with my family and must say upfront that service personnel was quite friendly and kindly offered us a better and larger table in order for the kids to have some more space. As to the food we tasted several starters and main courses being a party of five. Salads were ok but a bit uninspiring. Burrata with beetroot had a single sliced cherry tomato and a few salad leaves to it while the goat cheese salad with avocado was quite nice. Pizza was average and the kids - being aficionados - found it nowhere near as good as the Italian original or Pizza from other good restaurants in the area. The pasta main course with paccheri and salsiccia was a mediocre standard while the fish was well prepared but without any ambition to go beyond typical standard. All in all I must conclude that the pricing level for the dinner menu is above average - in particular considering what quality of food justifies - while the general menu being served throughout the day is ok‘ish in pricing but somewhat lacking the real Italian quality.

On entrance you are treated by a lovely lady and a quaint little restaurant. The menu is hand written and gives a lovely homely feeling. We were given a bowl of homemade vegetables soup and bread on arrival before ordering any food. Delicious We have booked for evening meal

We found this to be a very enjoyable small Italian restaurant. It has a small menu which changes every day and also does great pizzas. The food is fresh and tasty, the service is great and attentive. The owner asked if we would like a drink on him after the meal in the Italian fashion. I was wonderfully surprised when I asked if he had any Strega which is an Italian liqueur and initially he said no but then arrived with a the Strega which he had found somewhere. There many customers who were obviously regulars as well as visitors. We just enjoyed the good food and great atmosphere. One note, they only take cash and no credit cards.

Just look at the picture and you can see the quality of the produce. It is all done very simply with little salt or oil added. Will definitely come back here when I an next in Hamburg. Situated just across from Hamburg fair South Entrance gate.

We were staying around the corner from this restaurant at the NH collection, and while away we wanted a quiet early night after a long day traveling. Then we stumbled on this fantastic Italian restaurant & had to go back a second night! The menu is small but everything we had was fantastic from the pizza, to the pasta, to the steak. I love Italian food and I often avoid restaurants because I feel I could make a better meal - but this place was a real exception! The pasta was delicious, well seasoned and homemade, the pizza was thin and perfect, and the steak was tender and rare. They also served a delicious prosecco & the price was very reasonable. I really recommend going - the staff, food and atmosphere were excellent!

Fantastic. That's a word. This is easily in my top four favourite Italian restaurants in the world. In the same list as the Pink Door in SanFrancisco, Jano in totnes (which where I went on the first date with my wife) and a little place in Amalfi, the name of which escapes me. Cento Lira is family run, and it shows. The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, a little excitable (in an Italian sort of way) and the owner will make room for you if he possibly can, even if it seems unlikely. The food is excellent, I mean really excellent. The menu is short, but the dishes are better, fresher and the chef has time to give you the best as a result. Beware of a place with a six page menu. If you are in Hamburg and want a really enjoyable meal and you like Italian food, this should be at the top of the list. There is seating outside too, when the weather permits.

Very nice staff, easy to reach via underground. The interior was also nicely decorated. I had spaghetti with pumpkin, tomatoes and prawn. It tasted really good, unfortunately the spaghetti were not al dente and overcooked so that I did not enjoy it as much as I could have. I would go again and hope the pasta would be better next time.

Don't be confused by the apperance from the outside. The curtain, that acts as a door is oldfashioned (at best), but the restaurant is better than that. Good food - especially the pizza was fine.

We visited the Trattoria with a group and everybody was satisfied. The vegetarian gnocchi were very good, as there was the seafood pasta. The pizza is cheap and tasty. The service was friendly, but a bit inflexible.

Quick and friendly service. The food was really tasty (soup, spinach & parmesan salad, pizza with prosciutto and champignons). Very reasonable price and nice atmosphere.
