Really absolutely appalling and unsympathetic service! I have been there in the past and recently made reservations again for a larger group. Unfortunately, I had to cancel the reservation at short notice because there was a private bereavement and food was no longer an option. The person on the phone accepted my rejection and said goodbye without further comment. 2 days later I found out that the restaurant had charged me a €400 cancellation fee (!!) because my cancellation had taken place less than 24 hours before. I then contacted the restaurant, explained the special circumstances and asked that the cancellation fee be waived in this case. But the owner simply rejected this. When I asked again, I didn't get an answer at all. How unempathetic and unemotional can you be?! Something like that really baffles me. After all, I canceled beforehand, so it wasn't a no show. And we also made reservations for normal a la carte. The booking conditions state that you don't have to pay the fees for last-minute cancellations if you can prove that the restaurant has not lost any income. How exactly should I do this please? Hidden Camera? Ridiculous. And very sad. I definitely won't come again.

This place is a magical place. The service,staff,food, and the drinks 100 out of 100 . I was in berlin for 4 days, and I went to this place 3 out of the 4 days because I felt so welcomed there it was pleasant and felt good . Thank you for the amazing experience, and I recommend this place to everyone who comes to berlin.

My friends and I decided that we were going to Berlin for NYE and we needed a good place to go to for dinner prior to going out. We came across this place on OpenTable. They were charging a 155 euro prix fixe dinner. We ran into a bit of an issue with our hotel that delayed our arrival for our 8:30 reservation. I asked my front desk attendant at the hotel to call on our behalf letting the restaurant know about our issue and the restaurant was more than willing to accommodate us. We arrived and was greeted by one of the employee "welcome my guests from Virginia" I stated, "how did you know I was from VA?" He responded, "you are my only reservation that is left that hadn't arrived yet". Some may find that encounter odd, I however; appreciate the attention to detail. I am sure they receive people from all over and he decided to remember my home location. Once inside we continued to receive more than accommodating service. Everyone was so nice. My friends and I had a short window on time so we asked if they could speed up our service so that we can make our next reservation on time. Even though it was our hotel's fault as to why we were late, they were still more than accommodating to us. Now onto the food. The dinner was a 6-courses and nothing was a miss. All of the courses were prepared very well and the presentation was nice. Drinks were top tier. They are a steakhouse and needless to say everyone in my group loves a good well prepared steak and they did not miss the bar. The temperature was perfect with a nice crusty sear on the outside. I will definitely recommend this place to friends and will return on my next trip back to Berlin. To the waiters, hosts, bartenders, and owners thank you for a quality experience.

Unfortunately a very big disappointment. It was advertised that there would be plenty of champagne with dinner. The 6-course menu was unfortunately also very disappointing, the only good thing was the steak, but there wasn't much of it per person... At the regular price you had to order extra drinks because sparkling wine was only available from midnight. (Although this wasn't explicitly mentioned anywhere) we then opted for the cheapest sparkling wine (€55) which simply tasted bad. To toast at 0:00 there was cheap sparkling wine, which still gives us headaches to this day. And unfortunately it wasn't decorated either. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant for celebrations. At most if you feel like a delicious (small) steak...

Super good experience, very good meat. The Brussels sprouts were delicious. The servers are welcoming.

Delicious meal with family. The expectations of a good meat restaurant have been more than fulfilled. Quality and taste was very good. The service also certainly deserves a compliment. Smooth and friendly and knows what they are talking about when it comes to good hosting.

Really a great Italian meat restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. Went there on a Saturday evening with a reservation, which I would also recommend as it filled up very quickly late in the evening. At the recommendation of the nice waiter, we named three pieces of meat to share as well as the Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes as a side dish (both recommended). I personally liked the BISTECCA DI CARRARA – Wagyu 6+ best - just a dream. I'm not usually a meat eater, but I was totally convinced! Nice and attentive service and music at a pleasant volume - all in all it was a nice evening! Gladly again

Hello, here you can see the “lovely” starters: beef tongue and tartar :) taste: 2/10, portion size 2/10. I really don’t recommend this place. (For 2 starters, 1 main course + bottle of wine = 140€)

Das Essen konnte leider die Erwartungen, vor allem auch wegen des Preisniveaus nicht erfüllen. Das Fleisch war kalt, Kartoffelpüree übertrüffelt und die gesamten Beilagen leider geschmacklich langweilig, schade! Der Service war gut, wobei deutsch wohl nicht so gerne gesprochen wird.

Ein wirklich unglaublich tolles Restaurant. Ausgezeichneter Service von vorne bis hinten. Das Essen ist traumhaft, in allerbester Qualität. Wir wurden großartig beraten und fabelhaft umsorgt. Ein absoluter Tipp, für jeden guten Fleischliebhaber.

The shop window at the entrance clearly shows what To The Bone is about: meat! So I was looking forward to a delicious steak. The vegetarian and vegan alternatives on the menu are rather manageable. The wine selection is good and the red wine we ordered was very tasty. There are two appetizer platters, one of which is vegetarian. Unfortunately, the meat platter wasn't tasty and I was jealous of the vegetarian one. However, it was probably quite bland. As for the steak, I ordered a steak described as Wagyu 6+ and had correspondingly high expectations. There are more unusual side dishes, such as mashed potatoes and beans. There are no sauces at all. Unfortunately, the steak that was ordered medium was a huge disappointment. I have rarely had something so chewy on my plate. Accordingly, a lot went back on the plate. The beans in tomato sauce were pretty tasteless. The toilet is simple and there is only cold water. The towel dispenser was empty. I pointed this out and the next time I went to the toilet there was a roll of towels on the sink in front of the dispenser. Since there was no wastebasket for this, all guests threw the used paper towels into the corner. How can you really care about something? Yes. The service was friendly. The main reason for this restaurant is probably a great steak. Unfortunately I cannot confirm this. The rest of the dishes and side dishes were also just mediocre. The price/performance ratio is not right for me.

Really loved the place and will recommend it to anyone who wants to eat some very good quality meat. Everything was cooked to perfection. The service was very friendly, professional and prompt. The atmosphere was also amazing - elegant but cozy and not too noisy as it usually is in restaurants. Maybe not the best option if someone is vegetarian or vegan, since the fresh meat is showcased when you get in..

So i have to say I'm not one for gimmicks. They bring out the meat on a cutting board and tell you which is which and what is best. OK, I get it. Some people don't know which is which I'll admit being from the US. I wasn't exactly sure what a rumpsteak was, but it wasn't on the display board anyway. BUT I do know what good near is supposed to look like, decent color, good marbling, nice fat cap on the edge, especially for the t-bone and ribeye. That being said, the service was subpar at best. One of the people we were with ordered their steak medium rare, well part of was raw. Now, to be fair, as soon as the meat hit the table, somebody was there asking if it was OK yeah sure of course it is. We haven't had a chance to try it yet. Once they were getting thru it, they found it was raw, not even close to a rare it was raw on one end. At this point, nobody was coming around to check or ask if we needed any more drinks, nothing. She ended up taking that piece home when all was said and done, which was the only alternative. I got the rumpsteak, which was really good, and in their eyes seemed to be the bottom of their choices but ended up being the best out of all the other pieces that were ordered. It was a one and done for everybody that was with us. But if you're looking to have a lesson on meat, then this is the place for you.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen langen Abend bei To The Bone. Das Essen und die Drinks waren vorzüglich. Die Mitarbeitenden waren ebenfalls sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Für einen besonderen Anlass sehr zu empfehlen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Ich hatte Telefonisch im Voraus eine Kerze für den von mir bezahlten Nachtisch bestellt. Da das Essen das Geburtstagessen mit meiner Freundin war, sollte diese Kerze eine nette Geste sein und vorallem eine kleine Überraschung. Die Kerze kam natürlich nicht, trotz Rücksprache. Die Enttäuschung meinerseits kann man denke ich verstehen. So etwas darf nicht passieren. Nachdem ich es ansprechen musste und die Überraschung dahin war, haben wir wenigstens noch einen kostenlosen shot aufs Haus bekommen.

I started with a light appetizer with twist on Negroni. Then came the highlight: a tender and flavorful Coure de Bistecca paired with truffle-infused mashed potatoes and red wine. I have to say, this place is perfect for an evening date or a business dinner. The dessert was the cherry on top - a pear poached in mulled wine alongside creamy panna cotta that absolutely blew me away. The staff was amazing and friendly, and the quality of the meat was exceptional. Go there and have fun for your soul and belly :)

Best Negroni I ever had in my life! The wine menu was extremely complex with SO many different options and the service from Marco was really authentic and he advised us super nicely on the dishes. We trusted on him with the food and we felt we were in good hands. Best meat I ever ate in Berlin in the last 3 years! Definitely worth visiting!

Selective and slow service sponsored by rude and pretentious staff. Food was more or less good. I arrived later than my friends. When arriving the hostess was unpolite and non helpful, like if it was my issue to not know their COVID procedures (different for each place). As note, I am fully vaccinated, I just didn't knew what she requested, and her willingness to explain in English was close to nothing, even though I heard her speaking before. After basically kicking me out, someone had to pick me up and tell the hostess I was with them. They didn't had enough chairs on our table despite having a reservation and she said they didn't had more and the fix was a bar stool... at the same time the waiter coincidentally... arrived with a proper chair. 🧙🏼‍♂️🔮 No guidance on their menu and/or meat terms. On picture a "medium" term. When I ordered, my dish came separately than my friends, meanwhile I did some uncontrollable picking to the dish while waiting for the others. But suddenly they come and take my dish from the table without explanation saying it was a mistake and 10 minutes later they come with all the food, but my dish was exactly the same piece of meat as before just colder and with new accompaniment... Overall a sad experience, probably not because of the restaurant quality, but the customer treatment which is not bad, but selective as other customers mention on their reviews.

For real meat lovers, this is the restaurant to go to in Berlin. You will receive a friendly welcome. The staff explains well which meat you can order and how it is prepared. Then it also tastes delicious. You can take your time to dine here.

Very nice restaurant with great food and good service. It made me want to visit again.

We had reserved for four and came as a group of five, but that wasn't a problem at all. The restaurant is really recommended, relaxed atmosphere, a bit too dark, the music a bit too loud. The advice and explanations about the cuts of meat on offer are really good - the steak tartare was divine! The wine selection (exclusively Italian) is huge, we wouldn't have expected that, so much the better. The prepared Bistecca Fiorentina was almost perfect. At the end everyone was full and satisfied.

Wir hatten für vier reserviert und kamen zu fünft was aber überhaupt kein Problem war. Das Restaurant ist wirklich empfehlenswert, lockere Atmosphäre, etwas zu dunkel, die Musik etwas zu laut. Die Beratung und Erklärung zu den angebotenen Fleischstücken ist richtig gut - das Steak Tatar war göttlich! Die Weinauswahl (ausschließlich Italiener) ist riesig, das hätten wir so nicht erwartet, umso besser. Das zubereitete Bistecca Fiorentina war nahezu perfekt. Alle waren am Ende satt und zufrieden.

Very rude waiter. Asked a single question and got the most arrogant response ever, afterwards insulting me in Italian. This was the 2nd time I came within the week and spend a lot of money there with colleagues (whom I recommended the place). Last time in my life. Will never visit again.

The service was delightfully spirited and took great care of us. The bone marrow broth in the beginning was a tasty surprise, but nothing will come close to the Picana steak, it was positively the most tender and juicy Picana I ever had, and the suggestion to have it with some oil and pepper was terrific. Will definitely visit again.

We had reserved a standard table, but when we arrived they told us they are fully booked and sat us on the bar. The service was rushed and not very friendly. The food was good but not worth the money we spent. I don’t think I’d come back again

Het vlees was echt heerlijk. Zacht, smaakvol, echt medium-rare. Perfect. De sfeer was luidruchtig,rommelig. Helaas werd bij het hoofdgerecht niet gevraagd of we nog iets wilde drinken, gemiste kans. Het duurde sowieso al wat te lang voordat we iets kregen. De ober die ons geholpen heeft, echt super. Legde alles goed uit en dacht mee. Jammer dat de afwerking door de collega’s wat tegen viel. Overall, lekker gegeten, toetje onderweg maar gehaald.

To the bone is a high-class establishment with a primary focus on beef. Whilst somewhat on the pricey side, the restaurant serves some of the best steak I've had since arriving in Berlin. The wine menu is exceedingly large and the sides available compliment the steaks on offer very well.

Costata Fiorentina: good meat, slightly oversalted, but the edge of fat was tough and not caramelized, so not really enjoyable. Brussels sprouts with panko were delicious, but a tiny portion for €9.50. Open wines nothing special. With a 75€ steak (for two, plus side dishes) you could also serve a few really good or unusual wines by the glass, I think. Good white bread. Service friendly. Ambience a bit cool.

The service was 5 star class! Every employee played a part in the dinner service , the food was amazing. I know this is listed as an Italian restaurant but honestly this is one of the best and exquisite steak houses I have seen in Europe, and I have travelled extensively throughout Europe. Besonders der Wein hat uns begeistert, sowohl in der Auswahl als auch im Geschmack. Der Service war ausgezeichnet; das Personal war äußerst aufmerksam, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Atmosphäre des Restaurants war sehr angenehm und sorgte für ein rundum entspanntes Erlebnis. Wir gehen immer wieder gerne dorthin und können To The Bone nur wärmstens empfehlen.

The food was really very tasty. We ordered the steak "medium" and it came out much bloodier (see photo), but everyone still liked the meat very much. The potatoes and other side dishes also left nothing to be desired. Unfortunately, the service staff seemed to be trying hard but overwhelmed, as if everyone had little experience.

Nice atmosphere but unfortunately not what I had expected. Meat tasted good but was chewy and therefore not worth the price. Sides alright but nothing special. The ‘Italian with a twist’ concept did not fully succeed in my honest opinion. Quite long waiting time and service friendly but a bit all over the place.

The steak was okay but not what I expected for a place I had high expectations for given it's a steak place. The service was interesting... The waitresses were professional but when I tried giving feedback to the waiter about the inedible courgette starter or the fishy butter he said "You don't have to tell me" which was hilarious given the unexpected reply. Maybe his actual reply was lost in translation. All in all, unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with this place.

Service was great. Even though we were the last guests, the kitchen stayed open a little longer and conjured up a delicious menu for us. The waiters also took the time and effort to serve properly. Very rare for Berlin. Gladly again !

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und kompetent. Essen war lecker... wir kommen wieder. Macht weiter so... Der Geräuschpegel war etwas höher, da auf den gegenüber liegenden Seite ein Verkauf mit Musik stattgefunden hat was nicht jeden Tag der Fall ist.

This is the first time I’ve ever been so disappointed with a restaurant that I felt I definitely have to write a bad review. I Will never return to this restaurant and definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The Tatar from the snacks was the worst I’ve ever tasted in my life—so salty and awful that I couldn’t even move it around in my mouth, had to drink an entire glass of water just to force myself swallow it, after one bite we just gave up… As for the steak, we ordered it medium, but what arrived was nothing close to that. It was overcooked, tough, and lacked any of the rich beef flavor you’d expect from a steak. It felt like chewing wax. Overall, the food was far below expectations. Everything is completely don’t deserve the price.

Richard is super nice and introduce the food very well. The dry aged T-bone is amazing.

Freundlicher, aufmerksamer Service. Ambiente modern, Licht etwas dunkel für mich. Geschirr/Besteck schön, Gläser hochwertig. Unsere 4 Vorspeisen, der geteilte Hauptgang und die Sorbets waren fein. Empfohlene Weine waren ebenfalls gut und passend. Bei der Wahl des Fleisches/Cuts wurde toll präsentiert ubd beraten. Sehr geschmackvolles Bisteca und zart gereift. Küchenchef Amodio und Crew machen das super.

The steak was ok. Delicious potatoes. Too small a selection of steak toppings. The crème brûlle was simply wonderful. I will definitely come back to try something new from the menu and eat crème brûlle again

I really enjoyed my meal here! The rib eye was excellent—dry-aged and cooked perfectly to medium. They also gave us a delightful complimentary tomato dip with pesto from the kitchen. Highly recommend!

Esperienza bellissima , uno dei menu più belli di Berlino , lontano dai soliti titoli qui ogni piatto e un viaggio nella testa di una mente piena di fantasia . Abbiamo mangiato capesante al lime , lingua di vitello al bbq , e polpo in salsa di ostriche “incredibile “, la nostra bistecca fiorentina era molto buona ma forse meno buona dei contorni che abbiamo ordinato . Vale la pena tornare

the service from the staff was amazing, really friendly, really attentive. Gave us a free prosecco for my birthday to begin with. The steak was really good but the focal point of the food was the garlic parmesan potato puree. by the far the best thing we have ever tasted. very much worth a visit, fully recommend.

Our experience in To The Bone wasn't really what we expected. The only outstanding was the service from the waiter. The starters we had were OK but the tartar was super hard to eat. The Bistecca and Costata were very tasty but the stone on which they came was already cold when it is supposed to be extremely hot. The worst were the desserts, completely uneatable.

It has been the worst steak I have ever had. The texture is weird and the taste is very plain, if you ask someone randomly and try and guess what meat it is, I am sure that you can never tell that’s a beef steak. The broccoli was fine, just a bit too salty, the wine is smooth and sweet, the service was good. It is also overpriced.

Unfortunately, the taste of the food doesn't live up to the price level. Service was tried hard.
