We had to wait about 45 minutes for our food, but unfortunately, it was only lukewarm when it arrived. We also noticed some cobwebs on the table, and some of the cutlery was still dirty with the remains of our predecessors. We've been there several times before and have always been positive, but unfortunately, not this time.

We went out to eat today. I like the restaurant's style, but honestly... I had a reservation ☝️. The menus were dirty and a bit sticky. We waited 10 minutes for a waiter to even come. So far, it was okay. My food order arrived after an unbelievable 50 minutes. Unfortunately, it was lukewarm. My avocado in the burger wasn't ripe yet. All in all, it was definitely good. A shame. I also asked the waiter about the lukewarm food... but it was still full price. But not enough. The women's restroom was definitely... Uh... well, we'll try Kassel again, but otherwise... Nah 😊 Thanks for nothing... what a waste of money 💸

Six of us came here for lunch. Our server, Melli, was super sweet (according to the children), attentive, patient, and always friendly. He took great care of us and our dietary requests and advised us on them. He does a great job. The food was okay, and we were all full.

Impressive! A piece of the Wild West in Germany. A super successful restaurant that transports you to the best part of the Wild West in every way. The menu is complete, balanced and the portions are large. There really is something for every taste. The atmosphere is absolutely perfect, even if you sit outside, you have the sound of old cowboys talking about life in the frontier country. The service is impeccable and welcoming. Spoiled meat and no response!!! We were at Timberjacks with three people on August 29, 2025, and we will never go back to this restaurant again, nor will we recommend it to anyone: I had a chicken fajita and was already surprised while eating it that the dish tasted weird/absolutely bad (I put it down to some spice I didn't recognize at the time). As a result, I didn't finish my meal. We paid a whopping €75 for two main courses, a kids' meal, and three drinks and drove home very dissatisfied. By the time we got there, my stomach was already rumbling, and I had severe gastrointestinal problems for two days. It could only have been the meat, which, in my opinion, was spoiled/no longer fresh, and that's why it tasted so "weird." What upsets me much more, however, is that I informed the restaurant by email a day later (this was recommended to me on the phone beforehand) and asked for a response or statement. NO RESPONSE. I tried again a week later and politely asked them to get back to me. To date (September 19th), no response! Apparently, the Timberjack management doesn't need it. Customer service certainly doesn't look like that. We definitely won't be coming back and would advise against a visit.

Without a reservation, the only seating available was outside. The menu is too extensive and confusing for me. The price of a double cheeseburger at 11.99 is reasonable. Only the presentation of a small burger on a huge plate should be reconsidered. Great for meat eaters.

Timberjacks Göttingen impresses with excellent cuisine, a wide selection, and an authentic atmosphere. A particularly strong point: the opportunity to purchase sustainably produced clothing directly on site – a dining experience with added value!

Great looking place. A large variety of options. The bar looks awesome. A real American looking place. The food could be a bit improved but I have no complaints at all. Caipirinha was not exactly as expected - probably made with vodka not cachasa. But the Malbec wine was as expected. I would go there again.

We went to Timberjacks and had all three burgers, along with the delicious mashed potatoes and homemade lemonade. Everything was super fresh, flavorful, and truly filling—exactly what you'd want. A special thank you goes to our server, Melik: He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and looked after us perfectly throughout the evening. His service made our visit perfect! We'd love to come back! The staff are always super friendly. The food, however, has declined in some areas. The old menu was much better! Many great cocktails are gone... Also, the sauces have been replaced with unappealing ready-made sauces... It's a shame about the new concept; you've unfortunately gone downhill.

It's difficult for me to give an overall review that captures everything that makes Timberjacks Göttingen so special. First and foremost, the impressive ambiance deserves special mention. The huge, wood-paneled hall certainly looks great, and there are always new little details to discover in the decor. I get a nostalgia bonus for the background music; they play alternative rock from the 2000s most of the time. The menu is very varied – I've been here twice for brunch and once for dinner, and it was always delicious. The generous portions justify the sometimes quite high price (although the ice cream is a bit hit-and-miss depending on the flavor). However, one time a quesadilla arrived slightly charred on one side. It wasn't so bad that I had to return it, as the black spots only reduced my ability to eat two or three bites, but it wasn't particularly professional either. What's not professional at all is the service. The first time I was here, I was served by a middle-aged man who didn't even look at me while I was ordering or paying, and he didn't even thank me for the tip (10% of the bill). Anyone can have a bad day, so be it. The next time, two young men served us and accidentally knocked over the water bottle. Luckily, it was only about a quarter full, and my companion got up quickly enough to avoid getting wet. "Ah, no one got wet," was the waitress's response, no apology, and even though the restaurant wasn't particularly busy, it took a while for the waitress to notice me, despite making eye contact and waving; she was more likely to chat with the other staff. That was a good year and a half ago. When I was here recently for the third time with some friends, I hoped the staffing situation had improved. However, we weren't given any cutlery, and after the waitress was once again too busy chatting, I simply took it from the empty neighboring tables. Later, I saw that other guests were indeed served cutlery. When we later announced that we wanted to pay, it took another fifteen minutes for our waitress to arrive with the bill. It's a real shame that the service here is so unprofessional, as otherwise, everything here is perfect. Unfortunately, I can only give it three out of five stars and probably won't be coming back soon, as there are alternatives in Göttingen that can fare better overall.

We waited two hours for our food, and we weren't the only ones. Nevertheless, we still had to pay the full price. Only after we pointed out that what felt like 300 meals had passed us by did we receive our food ten minutes later. Unfortunately, instead of medium, it was completely raw, and it went back to the kitchen. By then, it was already a quarter to ten at night, and I still hadn't had anything to eat. The place itself looked great. But what's the point if you're hungry for over two hours? The food didn't impress me either. The placemats were already dirty from the previous diners and hadn't been changed. Delicious...

They quickly corrected it, but the burgers were only lukewarm. This was our second time there, and the first time, we had to wait a long time for food, too! We probably won't be coming back.

Yes. If you're coming on the weekend, you should reserve a table. Wait time for food is approximately one hour.

The service was friendly, but when there aren't enough staff to serve guests quickly, that's unfortunately not much use. We were there for 1.5 hours, and right at the beginning we pointed out that we were a bit pressed for time (but we had planned a total of 2 hours for our meal), and during that time we only received drinks, which we had to wait about 30 minutes for. It took another 20 minutes before we could even order. That's simply unbelievable. Since we never got to eat, we unfortunately can't rate it. Overall, it was a complete waste of our time.

A complete disaster. We had reserved a table for two and were seated at a long table, where more and more people were gradually added. We had to wait forever until a waiter finally came and took our drinks and food. The drinks arrived after about 20 minutes and the food after 1.5 hours. The fries were cold and my meat 🤮 was almost raw. I let them know and they gave me a new skewer. Unfortunately, the meat was almost raw again. We had to ask several times for a second drink and then still waited a long time. We also waited forever for our bill. So, all in all, a complete disaster.

Today we ate at Timberjacks. The wait for food was truly unbearably long; we had to wait a little over an hour for our food. The burger was cold, and the steak was unfortunately only warm. The fries and potatoes weren't even brought as side dishes. It was complete chaos. Then we were immediately offered dessert as compensation. I thought, okay, it would be free, but then I realized, no, it would cost me money. But to avoid waiting any longer, I left the store after paying. Unfortunately, I was dissatisfied, even though the staff tried their best. What a shame ☹️

Stylish, but that's about it. It's ridiculously overpriced, and the food is really not good. A terrible burger for €18.90 without a side. A tiny portion of lukewarm and completely soggy fries for €5.40 is almost outrageous. Trial and error; it was the first and last time for us.

The service is always fantastic. Friendly, attentive, and personable. The selection of dishes is overwhelming and varied. We drive over 80 km to eat there, and the trip is worth it every time.

The food is okay, but nothing more; everything is very greasy and oily. We went there twice to give it another try after the first, but this time it was just okay. What's really great, of course, is the location; the service was friendly, and the food came relatively quickly.

The restaurant is a real eye-catcher in terms of its decor. We were there as a group of 11 and had a lovely evening. The menu offers many delicacies, and understandably, there are many meat dishes, as well as a few vegetarian options. The food took a while to arrive, but the portions were good to very good. Due to the larger order, not everything was as hot as we would have liked.

Ordered veggie all star burger, but I was disappointed. The burger was sweet, even though it was mentioned the burger will be spicy in menu. Moreover, the patty inside the burger was not fried, rather it was just smashed vegetables. I felt like the chef forgot to deep fry the patty 😐. Horrible experience. The environment is good, but food is not for the price. Also be prepared for long waiting time to get the ordered food.

Unfortunately, the food and service were very disappointing. The prices are completely out of proportion. The location itself is beautiful!

Unfortunately, everything's back to normal today... This confirms my last review from a few days ago (see below). The service was borderline, and the new dishes are unnecessary because they aren't good. Stick with the old ways and please focus more on quality than quantity. The price/performance ratio is no longer right. Quality has declined, and the price has increased.

Was there yesterday with my husband, after 1 p.m., great service, very friendly, food was delicious, burger juicy and the potato strips hot and with the ajoli mayo very tasty 👍 everything top 👍

We were completely satisfied. The food was delicious, and our service was excellent. Melik, the waitress, was extremely attentive and did a fantastic job. We'd be happy to go back.

Very cozy and the food is delicious.

We were seated quickly, even though we arrived 45 minutes before our reservation. It got busy afterwards. The restaurant offers free parking (a moderate amount) and there's also street parking nearby. Service was a bit slow with clearing dishes, but the staff was friendly and respectful. The food was average but fair for the price and portion sizes. I'd recommend it if you don't eat steak regularly. The atmosphere is great, with an American lodge-style design and lots of wood architecture. Overall, it's a place worth visiting at least once.

Although the restaurant's motto is "You can't fake a steak," I can still recommend the vegan and vegetarian dishes here much more. The meat-only dishes are unfortunately significantly overpriced, although not bad. The cake is a real milestone if you're looking to gain a few pounds. I'll be back.

Long wait for your wine and wheat beer. When I get my wine, it's poured far below 0.15 liters! When you ask for a fire, no one has a lighter, even though there's a fire pit there that can be lit right away.

The ambiance is, of course, great in all Timberjacks restaurants. Unfortunately, the food doesn't always measure up. If you're lucky, you'll get something decent. But sometimes you get cold, dry, or stringy meat. That shouldn't happen at this price level. If you charge premium prices, you have to deliver premium.

I was there for breakfast. Since I was the only guest, I was able to take a look around and can only imagine how beautiful it is when the restaurant is busy. The menu is very varied, including at breakfast. The dishes were quite tasty, but moderately seasoned. Everything could have used a bit more flavor. Therefore, it loses one star. I'd be happy to come back for dinner, though.

A great place! Authentic American Midwest atmosphere. A huge place. Superbly decorated. We had 2 different hamburgers, pulled pork and mashed potatoes, a ceaser salad and a Hally Berry cheesecake. The burgers were TOP! The smashed Oklahoma burger was even done authentically correct. The pulled pork + was excellent. The dessert was correctly American and exceptional. The Ceaser salad was disappointing: overly hard lettuce, not enough dressing, a misery bread portion and the salad itself was too small, yet was still expensive. It is on the expensive side, but overall worth it.

10/10 evening! The food, atmosphere, and drinks were simply excellent. A top-notch place, we'd come back in a heartbeat.

First of all: in the end, everyone was nice and friendly, but it was a long journey to get there... We had reserved a table for 20 people for our civil wedding on July 25, 2025. After two or three emails, a member of staff called us and promised us the long table to the left of the entrance and to hand over a list of the dishes when we arrived, so that everything would go a bit faster. Our witnesses arrived and were initially directed to two tables where they were supposed to sit on benches without backs – a wedding party! When they asked why the long table couldn't be used as agreed, they pointed out that there were two (TWO!!) customers sitting at the long table for 20 people... When they then said that they would personally ask the two people if they would also like to sit at another table, they gradually came to their senses, and we were able to sit at the large table – as previously discussed. When the list was handed over, they suddenly said, "No, no, that's not possible. This has to be announced a week in advance!" - 1. I tried it, and it wasn't wanted, because "that's not what you do," so the submission of a list was agreed upon on the day itself. And 2. What's the difference between taking a list and billing it or asking each guest individually? When my husband and I arrived a little later, all they said at the entrance was, "Oh, congratulations, right?!" That has nothing to do with decorum... we certainly don't expect a red carpet, and with almost €600 in sales, we're certainly not breaking any records, but you can still expect good manners. To make matters worse, half the food was cold and there wasn't nearly enough cutlery on the table, so the already cold food got even colder, because bringing cutlery probably takes time. We've always been satisfied, but this was truly a sub-par experience. Especially since the place wasn't even close to full at lunchtime. What a pity! An email with this request has been ignored to date.

We were really quite disappointed, as we were thrilled with our last visit to Timberjacks Bispingen. It started with the drinks, which had a half-squashed strawberry floating in them, but the drink still tasted good. We were a group of 10 people and ordered a variety of dishes. Some of our burgers were cold or quite soggy, while others were better, but unfortunately, no one was truly satisfied. The fries were cold and quite floury. We then got new ones, which were lukewarm but still extremely soggy. The service was also quite overwhelmed by the whole situation; some people were still missing cutlery 10 minutes after their food arrived, despite being informed several times. We ended up with a strawberry cheesecake, which was really delicious, but in the end, it couldn't save much...

⸻ We've been there several times, and the ambiance is truly fantastic, and the food is delicious, too. BUT: Despite having made a reservation, we had to wait 2.5 hours one evening for our food – and that was just the two of us! At the next table, a group of 6 who were seated half an hour after us were served faster, finished their food, and left again. After 2.5 hours, we finally gave up and left. While we were waiting, the waitress even yelled at us that it wasn't her fault – even though we hadn't said anything and just looked understandably annoyed. It's a disgrace.

The restaurant was only half full, but I still had to wait for a table. Then my food was sent to the wrong table. The food (tacos) was very mediocre. I can't recommend it. I won't be coming back.

All in all, Timberjacks is pretty average. The place certainly doesn't live up to its exterior promise. The ambiance belies the service, and the food isn't particularly special either. The steaks, however, are very reasonable, but of course, ridiculously expensive.

The food is very good but also expensive. The American feel comes across excellently, and the ambiance could hardly be better. Only the service was a bit inattentive, and everything took a very long time. However, this may be due to a lack of staff.

Our visit to Timberjacks Göttingen was unfortunately disappointing. Although the drinks tasted good, they didn't match the menu description. The most serious criticism, however, was the service: We waited almost an hour before anyone even wanted to take our order. For this reason, we decided to skip the food and just pay for the drinks. When I paid, the waitress couldn't give me the correct change. Under the circumstances, I felt it would be inappropriate to leave a tip. Overall, the experience was neither hospitable nor professional. It's a shame, because we had significantly higher expectations given the restaurant's reputation.

Visiting Göttingen, we stumbled upon this restaurant spontaneously. What can I say?! We were beyond impressed. Everything was simply beyond good.

Delicious and generous portions (burgers and fajitas). It's like sitting somewhere in Montana, and the log cabin with its trophies on the wall exudes a Yellowstone feel. We'd gladly go back!
