Great food, great selection. Simply a great place to stay

A quick stop on the way – I stumbled upon Timberjacks by chance and spontaneously stopped in for lunch. Great food (keto salad + pulled beef with avocado fries), good service, and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended!

So much has already been written... Extraordinarily great ambiance, unexpectedly delicious food, friendly service... The wait for the food was quite long, but it was probably unusually busy for a Monday. But it was definitely worth it. I'd love to come here more often. It's a shame I live so far away. I really hope the Timberjack Karlsdorf restaurant will be just as amazing.

Three of us were there. I ordered a medium ribeye, which came completely raw. The waiter (great) took it and another person's ribeye and brought it back 10 minutes later (mine), perfectly cooked. So I had to cut it again. After 20 minutes, another waiter brought me a new steak. I sliced ​​it in front of him, and it was cooked through again (not even a hint of pink). And this waiter had the nerve to say it was medium. At first, he wanted to call a supervisor, but then took the meat back. He probably knew he was talking nonsense. I thought they couldn't screw it up any further. The first waiter brought me a new steak and waited for me to slice it. Before I could say anything, he apologized and took my plate because it was completely raw again. I felt incredibly sorry for the poor guy because he was super friendly and it wasn't his fault. After that, I skipped the steak and ordered mozzarella sticks (you can't go wrong with those). In the end, only the drinks were removed from the bill. I would have expected that at least the steak side dishes and maybe even the sticks wouldn't be charged. Sorry, but not even the friendly waiter could salvage the review.

Timberjacks in Göttingen looks really good and has a nice atmosphere. The service was okay, but nothing more. Unfortunately, I wasn't entirely convinced by the food. Many dishes taste very similar because almost everything has the same BBQ sauce. There's just a lack of variety. It's a shame, because there could have been a lot more flavor.

My wife wanted to surprise me with a visit here, and she succeeded. The parking lot was a little too small, but the ambiance was a lumberjack's dream with a giant screen. What can I say... We received a warm welcome, and since we had a reservation, everything went smoothly. We arrived at our table and had a quick look at the drinks menu, and the drinks were ordered and brought to us. Our server was extremely friendly and pleasant, not overly pushy. Ordering our meal was also relatively quick (since we had inquired in advance), and after exactly 32 minutes (from placing the order to arriving at the table), the order arrived (a little of everything). Special requests were no problem at all, reordering was no problem either, and there were boxes for leftover food. A large selection of desserts, which were also truly delicious. We can recommend everything; it was all delicious and worth the trip for that alone. We will definitely be back. We were there for the first time on April 12, 2025, and found the atmosphere very cool and the food delicious. I had to give my rare steak to a member of staff twice to cook it through, which unfortunately didn't quite work, but my colleague finally did :-) No problem, we're all human 😀 Still recommended 👍

The ambiance is fantastic, of course, and the food is quite okay—not everything was what I would expect given the price. For example, the meat was cut crookedly, resulting in uneven cooking times. The Caipi was, unfortunately, substandard. I still think it's fun to eat there, but I hope the quality improves. This isn't meant to be a slam, but rather a kind review.

The ambiance is really cool. However, it's not exactly cheap, and for that... well, you're partly paying for the ambiance. You can do it, you should. The wait times can be quite long, and the burger isn't at the level I'd celebrate. Still, it's quite solid, and as far as I can tell, they fortunately rely on fresh (I assume completely homemade) fries instead of pre-made frozen products. The presentation of the food definitely deserves praise... fries from a wooden tray, burgers served in a pan. A feast for the eyes definitely comes with this meal. The fries are equally solid. I recommend the sweet potato fries.

After my third visit, here's my review. The food was consistently good; the steaks were good for the price and cooked exactly as ordered. The side dishes were also very tasty, although they all had a similar taste; I don't know if they use the same spices everywhere. Service was very friendly. You have to like the ambiance; it's not much like a restaurant, but more like a large bar. The restrooms were clean, and all the utensils were available. We'll definitely be back.

The ambiance is great, the decor is fantastic, and the food is truly elaborate. It was my second visit to a Timberjacks. This time I had mac and cheese, and I have to say, unfortunately, that it had little in common with the mac and cheese I'm familiar with from the US. It was more like Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle), but with macaroni, not the creamy cheese sauce you'd expect. The onion rings were okay. The staff wasn't particularly attentive; they liked to stand behind the counter and chat rather than checking on the (few) customers to make sure everything was okay. But it wasn't bad either.

I was invited to dinner. I hadn't heard of this restaurant before, and I was pleasantly surprised. Very delicious and there's way too much to choose from. I'll be back :)

I wish I could give you a better rating. But unfortunately, that's not possible with my experience. I'll start. There were leftover food under the assigned table, lipstick still on the glass, a drink was served in a PET bottle (I asked for a glass), it took a very long time, and (no joke) there was a receipt in the food. We then cut short my birthday and didn't eat any more or order anything. There was a lot of throwing in various work areas. We didn't want a cake as an apology. We paid for the rest of the food. Thanks for nothing. For the lawyers: receipts and photos are available, and witnesses are present.

I kept hearing how good the restaurant was supposed to be. I reserved a table for two and wanted to eat there with a friend. We traveled 60 km. We shared our reservation and were offered two seating options at a long table with a table width that seemed very wide to me: in the middle, opposite each other, or at the end, opposite each other. This meant that there would have been no privacy. Unfortunately, I have to say that I was once again overwhelmed by the chain restaurants, and we didn't eat there that evening, as there were no other alternative options for us. There were certainly nice spots, and the service can certainly be good. The food is supposed to be phenomenal. My experience was unfortunately disappointing, and I won't drive 60 km to eat there again. Or rather, I'd rather go to a restaurant that completely impresses me.

Great location. Top-notch meat and super tasty sauces. If you arrive by bus, you might end up walking around the block, as there's no direct access from the street once you pass the neighboring fast food restaurant.

Surprised about this place very US feeling, good food massive place was a nice experience.

It was my first time at Timberjacks and I had a 400g steak. This was advertised as juicy on the menu. Well, the only thing that was juicy: the price vs. quality. Stringy, dry and tough which indicates inadequate quality and insufficient preparation. The staff didn't listen to the criticism, my neighbor felt the same way with his fillet. It's a shame, the atmosphere is nice, but I wouldn't eat steaks here again.

Unser Besuch im Timberjacks Göttingen war leider enttäuschend. Trotz nur halb gefülltem Restaurant mussten wir rund 70 Minuten auf unser Essen warten. In dieser Zeit kam der Service lediglich zweimal an den Tisch – einmal zur Aufnahme der Bestellung und einmal zum Bringen der Getränke. Besonders enttäuschend war die Qualität der Steaks: Bestellt wurden ein Steak medium und eines medium rare – beide wurden nahezu roh serviert. Für ein Steakhouse, das sich auf Fleisch spezialisiert und damit auch wirbt, ist das schlicht unzureichend. Bei einem Preis von 33 Euro pro Steak, exklusive Beilagen, erwartet man eine deutlich höhere Qualität und besseren Service. Leider wurde diesen Erwartungen in unserem Fall nicht entsprochen. Wer tolle Steaks zu einem klasse Preis liebt ist im Argentina in Weende besser aufgehoben.

Wir haben mit der Familie hier einen Geburtstag gefeiert. Das Essen war frisch, lecker und reichlich. Und das Steak war fantastisch. Die Preise sind etwas teuerer als in anderen Steakhäusern, aber das ist wirklich gerechtfertigt. Der Service war schnell, nett und freundlich. Alles in allem, ein wirklich perfekter Abend.

We had an overnight stay in Göttingen on the way home and then went to Timberjacks by chance. But we were thrilled. Super delicious food. My partner had a burger and I had a steak. And the service was also very friendly and accommodating.

Everything is just right here, from the entrance, the reception to the ambience. The food was perfect, we had steak - cooked as desired, beautifully tender and the highlight was simply the gravy that comes with every steak. For dessert, ice cream - a delicately creamy, melting dream. Super friendly and courteous service.

Been here several times over the years, here is a good atmosphere and ok food. A big plus is that it is so dog-friendly when traveling with a dog. Only a minimum from the highway. A little sluggish service on the last visit, otherwise everything fine.

We visited this place on Sunday between 9-10 pm. Nice ambience and food arrived on time, but unfortunately the service was disappointing. Our waiter (name starts with 'D') gave us judgmental looks, staff messed up our drink order, and most importantly, added a tip to the bill without informing us. We ended up tipping twice because of this, and only found out after checking with the reception desk. The person (name starts with 'M') attending the reception desk was very nice and helped us clarify the bill. Very unethical behavior of waiter, which overshadowed the experience. The non-veg food was decent, but I wouldn’t recommend the Veggie All-Stars Burger – the patty was soggy and the sauce was overly sweet. Hope the management improves the staff training and transparency with customers.

I find prices a bit high here and there. Food was still great, would come again and again

As a USA lover, an absolute must in Germany! A very impressive location due to the layout, size and atmosphere. We are always particularly impressed by the large selection and quality of the side dishes: e.g. crispy fries and healthy things like the delicious mixed vegetables. But we also have deductions due to: - the big screen, which personally bothers me a lot when visiting, especially with children who constantly devote their full attention to the screen. We therefore asked for another table and were then allowed to move to the quieter area. Thanks for that! - the patties on the burgers. They're really not that great. I strongly recommend frozen food... - the homemade lemonade was far too sweet, as it was diluted too little or not at all with sparkling water. We had to order a water bottle so that we could drink it well. So it was really tasty. - the rodeo that didn't work. The children can go there every Sunday. I called in advance to confirm this again. I should also write an email to be sure because the lady on the phone wasn't quite sure. I got the same positive answer twice and then we get there and the rodeo didn't work. That was really disappointing with a 1:40 arrival time…

Very good steakhouse with great, good quality food! Service is great and the atmosphere is really great! In addition to steaks in various variations with a huge selection of side dishes, burgers, burritos and the like are also offered. The beef matures in a display case so you can see the quality for yourself. There is also plenty of choice for vegetarians!

Let's start with the positive. The atmosphere is very nice and we enjoyed our dishes, although some things could have been a little more seasoned. Unfortunately the service was very poor. It wasn't even really full and yet we barely saw our waitress. The whole table was full of empty drinks, it took forever until it was cleared away or we could order something new. Same when waiting for the bill. We had the feeling that she was constantly ignoring us, so we sometimes had to tell other waiters. She also seemed very annoyed. Really disappointing.

Beautiful place, but definitely very expensive, 100 euros for two for a burger and steak is a bit beyond measure... however, since I only pass here once a year, I will return.

The Timberjacks Göttingen impresses with a stylish, cozy ambience and a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite meet our expectations. Unfortunately a somewhat disappointing visit... After we had waited about 30 minutes for our drinks (and several tables that arrived after us had already been taken care of), we asked and only received a “yes, the food is still taking time”. 10 minutes later we also got drinks. Overall, about an hour after ordering, still no food and no contact with service (were we forgotten? It remains exciting.) 1 hour 10 after we ordered our food came back (after asking again) after the tables around us had already all been served. The drinks were kindly taken off the bill.

Overall a great restaurant. It's huge, but also very crowded. Of course that speaks for the restaurant. Unfortunately, many of the children's chairs are defective and you wouldn't want to put your child in them. There was also no cutlery for children, unfortunately a cake fork was only available later as they were all in use. The food was good, as always. Unfortunately, it is also very expensive. Of course, if you take a steak, you're happy to pay for a good steak. Unfortunately my medium steak wasn't medium, it was completely done. If asked, it would be medium. My girls' burgers were great. The children's meat is less seasoned than the regular one, which I really liked. The staff was always nice, so you could overlook some things. In some places they really need to be improved (children's chairs!), but otherwise it was a relaxed visit.
