It's okay, but there are better options in Göttingen. It's a bit run-down after years of use, and some of the staff could be friendlier...

Best place ever! Awesome menu, best meat, amazing atmosphere, great service, and the shows are incredible. The wrestling on Halloween was the best. Unbelievable. I heard they're starting full wrestling shows soon. In any case, this place is one of a kind in this country. 100% recommended!

You wait forever for your order

The food tasted great, but unfortunately the fries were cold; however, they were quickly replaced. The beer selection is generally okay, unless half the bottles are empty.

We had to wait a very long time for our food, and when it was finally served, it was unfortunately cold. To make matters worse, we were charged an extra amount that wasn't even included in our meal. Overall, a very disappointing experience. We will not be recommending this restaurant.

The food was quite expensive, and we waited 45 minutes for it. That's too long, especially since the food was below average. The atmosphere was nice.

Last year everything was great, except for the long wait times. Today it was a disaster! We waited 2.5 hours for our food! Even then, our first drink order hadn't arrived. We made a reservation a week in advance and were then asked on the day of the reservation to arrive later because it was quite busy. Half the people at our table got lost in the system, and they had to wait another half hour for their food, while we had already finished eating... Extremely disappointing, even though they tried to make up for it with free shots that tasted absolutely awful, just like the mojito, which was only alcohol and water, and there were four different, completely different-tasting versions of the Sex on the Beach!

The restaurant's ambiance looks very inviting, but that's about the only positive thing about it. After a 15-minute wait at reception, I was shown to my reserved table. I then waited about 20 minutes to order a drink, which took another 20 minutes to arrive. When I finally got my drink, I wanted to order food right away, but the server told me someone else was responsible for that. After finally ordering, I waited quite a while for the food to arrive. The steak I ordered wasn't medium-rare, but rather bloody to raw, and not even warm—almost cold. In short, a disaster. I reserved a table at 8:00 PM and didn't start eating until 9:45 PM... Not recommended.

A must-see whenever you're in Kassel or Göttingen. It absolutely must be available in Dresden too.

The ambiance was a 10 out of 10, no question. But the food was terrible; the beef tenderloin tips were a complete disaster and definitely didn't deserve the word "disaster" (sorry for the harsh words). The service was very stressed but okay. The man at reception seemed listless and distracted, which I found inappropriate given the long reservation time and the initial greeting (perhaps he was having a bad day, also possible...). Since our main course was awful, the waiter did offer us a complimentary dessert. That was the only positive thing, though, and the company was nice. Sorry for the harsh words, but honestly!

Timberjacks Göttingen is simply fantastic. The atmosphere is amazing – really cozy with the typical Timberjacks style, lots of wood, and a great ambiance. The food was incredibly delicious, the burgers juicy and perfectly cooked, and the sides were really fresh and crispy. The service was friendly, attentive, and cheerful. If you love good burgers, really good American-style food, and a chill location, this is the place for you. I'll definitely be back! 🤘🍔🔥

Unfortunately, two orders arrived incorrectly. At 10:15 PM, the waiter said he and his colleagues were closing time as it wasn't very busy anymore and asked us to pay. The cocktails were okay, but we had to wait 20 minutes for the last ones after asking... even though it wasn't that busy.

Wow, what an amazing place! The exterior is incredibly appealing, and the interior is truly impressive. The counter is unbelievably large, and above it is a TV/monitor that's second to none. The entire interior design is fantastic and truly breathtaking. My little one was practically speechless with excitement. The service was amazing, the server was super friendly, and THEN the food arrived. Absolutely fantastic. Seriously, you guys have to experience this. It's such a shame we don't have a place like this in the Bremen area.

By far the worst restaurant experience of my life. It was a bit like something out of a Loriot sketch. 😀 We were a party of four on Halloween. We had a reservation for 5:00 PM. That was our first and last time there. After 15 minutes, our drink orders were taken, then we were forgotten for another 15 minutes when it came time to order our food. We wanted to order a daily special, which we did, until another 15 minutes later a different waiter came to our table and said that they don't offer specials on holidays. The food finally arrived. Taste-wise, everything was either bland or completely unappetizing (they forgot a sauce that was supposedly already in the dish... no way!). Unsalted fries, but a pulled chicken that was way too salty. After eating, we sat in front of our empty plates for over 30 minutes. When it came time to pay, we only received the bill after asking for it, only to then discover that the daily special, which wasn't even available, was on my bill (a whopping €30!!!). In short: The location is beautiful and authentic, but the video screen is incredibly bright and way too big; I felt like I was in a theme park. 😀 The food was truly uninspiring, some of it even bad. The burgers were okay. The service was absolutely terrible!!! They were running around like headless chickens, no organization whatsoever. The entire visit ended after almost three hours and will remain a truly bizarre memory. Never again.

I invited my family there for my birthday. It's a beautifully decorated restaurant. There's plenty of space, everything is clean, and it's furnished in a lovely rustic style. The ambiance and the service were great. We were served by Melik, who was very polite and friendly. He took a family photo for us and always had a witty remark ready for the kids. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as good as expected. The meat was too tough and not up to the standard of other steakhouses (a real shame). Overall, though, it was a very nice evening with my family.

Good service and delicious food

My partner and I visit this restaurant regularly. So far, everything has usually been to our complete satisfaction. However, on today's visit, we were anything but satisfied with the quality of the food (the high-priced selection). Especially since we were here recently and ordered the same dishes, we noticed that today's food didn't even come close to the standards the Timberjacks team usually sets for themselves. We expressed our dissatisfaction to the service staff. Their response to our criticism is what I would like to emphasize. Pascal, who served us today, was not only extremely competent, friendly, and courteous from the very beginning, but also responded to our criticism of the food in what was probably the most professional manner we have ever experienced. Without explicit request, he got to the bottom of the matter and immediately sought to compensate for the negative experience. After a very short wait to consult with the kitchen and the chef, we were appropriately compensated for our disappointment and were very grateful for our openly expressed criticism. At this point, special praise is also due to the chef, who made the compensation possible without discussion, thus setting a precedent for customer focus and service quality. Our initial irritation and disappointment turned into a memorable experience – not least thanks to the professional and self-reflective behavior of the server Pascal and the kitchen team. Hats off! You demonstrated today what customer focus means and showed true greatness with your behavior! Based on what I experienced, I can only honestly give today's meal 3 stars. However, given the staff's reaction and the otherwise consistently delivered quality, these ratings take a back seat to the overall rating. However, for our previous visits, I would give the quality of the selected dishes 5/5 stars. Overall, Timberjacks remains a 5/5 for my partner and me; we will definitely be back.

The ambiance at Timberjacks Göttingen is truly beautiful – rustic, cozy, and designed with great attention to detail. Unfortunately, the food couldn't possibly live up to the wonderful surroundings. All the dishes arrived cold, which suggests slow cooking or service. The quality of the meat on the hanging spit was particularly disappointing – it was tough, poorly cooked, and simply not flavorful. Overall, a very disappointing experience. It's a shame about the beautiful location, as the ambiance deserved much more potential.

We went out to eat today. I like the restaurant's style, but honestly... I had a reservation ☝️. The menus were dirty and a bit sticky. We waited 10 minutes for a waiter to even come. So far, it was okay. My food order arrived after an unbelievable 50 minutes. Unfortunately, it was lukewarm. My avocado in the burger wasn't ripe yet. All in all, it was definitely good. A shame. I also asked the waiter about the lukewarm food... but it was still full price. But not enough. The women's restroom was definitely... Uh... well, we'll try Kassel again, but otherwise... We had to wait about 45 minutes for our food, but unfortunately, it was only lukewarm when it arrived. We also noticed some cobwebs on the table, and some of the cutlery was still dirty with the remains of our predecessors. We've been there several times before and have always been positive, but unfortunately, not this time.

Six of us came here for lunch. Our server, Melli, was super sweet (according to the children), attentive, patient, and always friendly. He took great care of us and our dietary requests and advised us on them. He does a great job. The food was okay, and we were all full.

The atmosphere is inviting, and the food is delicious. There's live music on Thursdays, which makes it even more cozy. Portions range from regular to enormous. The service is friendly, relaxed, and competent. You feel like you're in good hands. We'll be happy to come back.

Impressive! A piece of the Wild West in Germany. A super successful restaurant that transports you to the best part of the Wild West in every way. The menu is complete, balanced and the portions are large. There really is something for every taste. The atmosphere is absolutely perfect, even if you sit outside, you have the sound of old cowboys talking about life in the frontier country. The service is impeccable and welcoming. Spoiled meat and no response!!! We were at Timberjacks with three people on August 29, 2025, and we will never go back to this restaurant again, nor will we recommend it to anyone: I had a chicken fajita and was already surprised while eating it that the dish tasted weird/absolutely bad (I put it down to some spice I didn't recognize at the time). As a result, I didn't finish my meal. We paid a whopping €75 for two main courses, a kids' meal, and three drinks and drove home very dissatisfied. By the time we got there, my stomach was already rumbling, and I had severe gastrointestinal problems for two days. It could only have been the meat, which, in my opinion, was spoiled/no longer fresh, and that's why it tasted so "weird." What upsets me much more, however, is that I informed the restaurant by email a day later (this was recommended to me on the phone beforehand) and asked for a response or statement. NO RESPONSE. I tried again a week later and politely asked them to get back to me. To date (September 19th), no response! Apparently, the Timberjack management doesn't need it. Customer service certainly doesn't look like that. We definitely won't be coming back and would advise against a visit.

Great looking place. A large variety of options. The bar looks awesome. A real American looking place. The food could be a bit improved but I have no complaints at all. Caipirinha was not exactly as expected - probably made with vodka not cachasa. But the Malbec wine was as expected. I would go there again.

Timberjacks Göttingen impresses with excellent cuisine, a wide selection, and an authentic atmosphere. A particularly strong point: the opportunity to purchase sustainably produced clothing directly on site – a dining experience with added value!

Without a reservation, the only seating available was outside. The menu is too extensive and confusing for me. The price of a double cheeseburger at 11.99 is reasonable. Only the presentation of a small burger on a huge plate should be reconsidered. Great for meat eaters.

The staff are always super friendly. The food, however, has declined in some areas. The old menu was much better! Many great cocktails are gone... Also, the sauces have been replaced with unappealing ready-made sauces... It's a shame about the new concept; you've unfortunately gone downhill.

It's difficult for me to give an overall review that captures everything that makes Timberjacks Göttingen so special. First and foremost, the impressive ambiance deserves special mention. The huge, wood-paneled hall certainly looks great, and there are always new little details to discover in the decor. I get a nostalgia bonus for the background music; they play alternative rock from the 2000s most of the time. The menu is very varied – I've been here twice for brunch and once for dinner, and it was always delicious. The generous portions justify the sometimes quite high price (although the ice cream is a bit hit-and-miss depending on the flavor). However, one time a quesadilla arrived slightly charred on one side. It wasn't so bad that I had to return it, as the black spots only reduced my ability to eat two or three bites, but it wasn't particularly professional either. What's not professional at all is the service. The first time I was here, I was served by a middle-aged man who didn't even look at me while I was ordering or paying, and he didn't even thank me for the tip (10% of the bill). Anyone can have a bad day, so be it. The next time, two young men served us and accidentally knocked over the water bottle. Luckily, it was only about a quarter full, and my companion got up quickly enough to avoid getting wet. "Ah, no one got wet," was the waitress's response, no apology, and even though the restaurant wasn't particularly busy, it took a while for the waitress to notice me, despite making eye contact and waving; she was more likely to chat with the other staff. That was a good year and a half ago. When I was here recently for the third time with some friends, I hoped the staffing situation had improved. However, we weren't given any cutlery, and after the waitress was once again too busy chatting, I simply took it from the empty neighboring tables. Later, I saw that other guests were indeed served cutlery. When we later announced that we wanted to pay, it took another fifteen minutes for our waitress to arrive with the bill. It's a real shame that the service here is so unprofessional, as otherwise, everything here is perfect. Unfortunately, I can only give it three out of five stars and probably won't be coming back soon, as there are alternatives in Göttingen that can fare better overall.

Only after we pointed out that what felt like 300 meals had passed us by did we receive our food ten minutes later. Unfortunately, instead of medium, it was completely raw, and it went back to the kitchen. By then, it was already a quarter to ten at night, and I still hadn't had anything to eat. The place itself looked great. But what's the point if you're hungry for over two hours? The food didn't impress me either. The placemats were already dirty from the previous diners and hadn't been changed. Delicious...

A complete disaster. We had reserved a table for two and were seated at a long table, where more and more people were gradually added. We had to wait forever until a waiter finally came and took our drinks and food. The drinks arrived after about 20 minutes and the food after 1.5 hours. The fries were cold and my meat 🤮 was almost raw. I let them know and they gave me a new skewer. Unfortunately, the meat was almost raw again. We had to ask several times for a second drink and then still waited a long time. We also waited forever for our bill. So, all in all, a complete disaster.

The fries and potatoes weren't even brought as side dishes. It was complete chaos. Then we were immediately offered dessert as compensation. I thought, okay, it would be free, but then I realized, no, it would cost me money. But to avoid waiting any longer, I left the store after paying. Unfortunately, I was dissatisfied, even though the staff tried their best. What a shame ☹️

The service was friendly, but when there aren't enough staff to serve guests quickly, that's unfortunately not much use. We were there for 1.5 hours, and right at the beginning we pointed out that we were a bit pressed for time (but we had planned a total of 2 hours for our meal), and during that time we only received drinks, which we had to wait about 30 minutes for. It took another 20 minutes before we could even order. That's simply unbelievable. Since we never got to eat, we unfortunately can't rate it. Overall, it was a complete waste of our time.

Stylish, but that's about it. It's ridiculously overpriced, and the food is really not good. A terrible burger for €18.90 without a side. A tiny portion of lukewarm and completely soggy fries for €5.40 is almost outrageous. Trial and error; it was the first and last time for us.

The restaurant is a real eye-catcher in terms of its decor. We were there as a group of 11 and had a lovely evening. The menu offers many delicacies, and understandably, there are many meat dishes, as well as a few vegetarian options. The food took a while to arrive, but the portions were good to very good.
