Hello everyone Our friends wanted to surprise us with a visit there. I'm so disappointed, no one can imagine. Waiting time for the food: 1.45 hours Table dirty Cutlery dirty Food cold at the entire table Starter served with main course. A solid 6 for a place like this, and at that price. Unbelievable. I will definitely not spend a single euro there again. More show than substance, stunned.

The service and ambiance were very good and we enjoyed it. Unfortunately, we had to wait over an hour for our food. The steak was very tough and not pleasant to eat. The rosemary potatoes also had a very buttery taste. Overall, the value for money wasn't right for us.

Nice American-style restaurant/bar/event venue. The burger was solid, the meat a bit overcooked, but still good. The truffle cream was amazing.

Long wait times, food arrived incorrectly twice, and we ended up canceling our visit (after about 1 1/2 hours of wasted time) – poor value for money.

Ordered veggie all star burger, but I was disappointed. The burger was sweet, even though it was mentioned the burger will be spicy in menu. Moreover, the patty inside the burger was not fried, rather it was just smashed vegetables. I felt like the chef forgot to deep fry the patty 😐. Horrible experience. The environment is good, but food is not for the price. Also be prepared for long waiting time to get the ordered food.

Great, the food is delicious. Good value for money, and the atmosphere is very nice... You can get great Canadian/American food here :)

You won't regret to be there and enjoy the ambiance, smily service, delicious burgers and steaks. If you are a meat person, you should not miss it.

You can actually be satisfied. The waiter was a bit distracted, couldn't take a proper order, and with the steak, you have to make clear requests several times about how you want it. But otherwise, it was super delicious 😃

Experince on multiple occasions: you need to wait, carefully time it, and jump, shout, stop the fast running waitres/es if you'd like to order/pay, only to find out it's not him or her, but a colleague who can take your order/payment. Apart from that, superb milieu, food is fantastic (would say the best burger patty ever), highly recommended. But not for the shy ones (need shouting for attention).

I was there for breakfast. Since I was the only guest, I was able to take a look around and can only imagine how beautiful it is when the restaurant is busy. The menu is very varied, including at breakfast. The dishes were quite tasty, but moderately seasoned. Everything could have used a bit more flavor. Therefore, it loses one star. I'd be happy to come back for dinner, though.

A great place! Authentic American Midwest atmosphere. A huge place. Superbly decorated. We had 2 different hamburgers, pulled pork and mashed potatoes, a ceaser salad and a Hally Berry cheesecake. The burgers were TOP! The smashed Oklahoma burger was even done authentically correct. The pulled pork + was excellent. The dessert was correctly American and exceptional. The Ceaser salad was disappointing: overly hard lettuce, not enough dressing, a misery bread portion and the salad itself was too small, yet was still expensive. It is on the expensive side, but overall worth it.

10/10 evening! The food, atmosphere, and drinks were simply excellent. A top-notch place, we'd come back in a heartbeat.

We were really quite disappointed, as we were thrilled with our last visit to Timberjacks Bispingen. It started with the drinks, which had a half-squashed strawberry floating in them, but the drink still tasted good. We were a group of 10 people and ordered a variety of dishes. Some of our burgers were cold or quite soggy, while others were better, but unfortunately, no one was truly satisfied. The fries were cold and quite floury. We then got new ones, which were lukewarm but still extremely soggy. The service was also quite overwhelmed by the whole situation; some people were still missing cutlery 10 minutes after their food arrived, despite being informed several times. We ended up with a strawberry cheesecake, which was really delicious, but in the end, it couldn't save much...

First of all: in the end, everyone was nice and friendly, but it was a long journey to get there... We had reserved a table for 20 people for our civil wedding on July 25, 2025. After two or three emails, a member of staff called us and promised us the long table to the left of the entrance and to hand over a list of the dishes when we arrived, so that everything would go a bit faster. Our witnesses arrived and were initially directed to two tables where they were supposed to sit on benches without backs – a wedding party! When they asked why the long table couldn't be used as agreed, they pointed out that there were two (TWO!!) customers sitting at the long table for 20 people... When they then said that they would personally ask the two people if they would also like to sit at another table, they gradually came to their senses, and we were able to sit at the large table – as previously discussed. When the list was handed over, they suddenly said, "No, no, that's not possible. This has to be announced a week in advance!" - 1. I tried it, and it wasn't wanted, because "that's not what you do," so the submission of a list was agreed upon on the day itself. And 2. What's the difference between taking a list and billing it or asking each guest individually? When my husband and I arrived a little later, all they said at the entrance was, "Oh, congratulations, right?!" That has nothing to do with decorum... we certainly don't expect a red carpet, and with almost €600 in sales, we're certainly not breaking any records, but you can still expect good manners. To make matters worse, half the food was cold and there wasn't nearly enough cutlery on the table, so the already cold food got even colder, because bringing cutlery probably takes time. We've always been satisfied, but this was truly a sub-par experience. Especially since the place wasn't even close to full at lunchtime. What a pity! An email with this request has been ignored to date.

⸻ We've been there several times, and the ambiance is truly fantastic, and the food is delicious, too. BUT: Despite having made a reservation, we had to wait 2.5 hours one evening for our food – and that was just the two of us! At the next table, a group of 6 who were seated half an hour after us were served faster, finished their food, and left again. After 2.5 hours, we finally gave up and left. While we were waiting, the waitress even yelled at us that it wasn't her fault – even though we hadn't said anything and just looked understandably annoyed. It's a disgrace.

The restaurant was only half full, but I still had to wait for a table. Then my food was sent to the wrong table. The food (tacos) was very mediocre. I can't recommend it. I won't be coming back.

The food is very good but also expensive. The American feel comes across excellently, and the ambiance could hardly be better. Only the service was a bit inattentive, and everything took a very long time. However, this may be due to a lack of staff.

All in all, Timberjacks is pretty average. The place certainly doesn't live up to its exterior promise. The ambiance belies the service, and the food isn't particularly special either. The steaks, however, are very reasonable, but of course, ridiculously expensive.

Really delicious food in a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, there were no hot drinks available, but that was our only criticism.

Our visit to Timberjacks Göttingen was unfortunately disappointing. Although the drinks tasted good, they didn't match the menu description. The most serious criticism, however, was the service: We waited almost an hour before anyone even wanted to take our order. For this reason, we decided to skip the food and just pay for the drinks. When I paid, the waitress couldn't give me the correct change. Under the circumstances, I felt it would be inappropriate to leave a tip. Overall, the experience was neither hospitable nor professional. It's a shame, because we had significantly higher expectations given the restaurant's reputation.

Visiting Göttingen, we stumbled upon this restaurant spontaneously. What can I say?! We were beyond impressed. Everything was simply beyond good.

I had a burger with julienne fries. It was delicious. But why do they have to serve the burger in a pan with about 1 mm of oil in it? The other dishes were also very greasy or oily. The waitress was completely overwhelmed or overworked during our visit. It took 40 minutes for two of us to get our drinks. The other three got theirs after just 10 minutes. There was no cutlery at the table. When we asked, we were given one fork and one knife for five people. Then the waitress disappeared again. Perhaps we picked a bad time. The ambiance is really great, but due to the poor service and oily food, we probably won't be back.

The menu is more extensive than I expected—there's something for everyone, and the food was delicious. A rustic, cozy atmosphere. Excellent service! It's definitely worth a visit!

Delicious and generous portions (burgers and fajitas). It's like sitting somewhere in Montana, and the log cabin with its trophies on the wall exudes a Yellowstone feel. We'd gladly go back!

Yes, very cool restaurant. Come a little earlier if you want to eat. It gets crowded after 7 p.m.

Poor quality food. We had a Steak, it was well cooked but not very tasty. Tacos were not to our taste. And the mashed potatoes were bad, oily. Prices too high. The staff was friendly and the place is nice but it doesn't compensate. I don't recommend.

We stayed at the Timberjack Göttingen and felt completely at home. Despite the high level of stress – probably due to a lack of staff – Pascal was super attentive and kept everything under control. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance. The food was excellent, and we didn't mind the announced wait time. I would especially like to emphasize that the service did a great job of absorbing the leftovers from the kitchen. This makes it all the more incomprehensible to me when guests become abusive or don't pay at all. The breakfast is also highly recommended – a visit here is definitely worth it. The ambiance is meticulously detailed and invites you to linger. My favorite spot: the rocking chair on the terrace. Props to Pascal – thanks for the great evening!

Super food! Very very very slow service . We waited 90 mins after ordering for the food to arrive. Almost every table was complaining with the wait time.

Great ambiance, good service – but unfortunately, a two-hour wait for the food was completely unacceptable. We used to really enjoy coming here, but after this experience, it's the last time.

Waiting for more than an hour to get a beer. Waiting for almost for two hours to get steak that is grey (medium rare ordered). RIP the cow that has been killed twice. Stuff is totally lost. Matching order to the customer seems also to be mission impossible. Never ever again!

The first impression is great, but then everything falls apart. The cutlery is dirty, it looks like someone has already used it. If you want to pay, you'll have to wait half an hour. 😮‍💨 Otherwise, it's good.

You still need to practice cooking and serving

Very, very bad experience. Waited 20 min for service. An additional 75 min for the food. Half of the orders were wrong. The taste and quality of the food was, at best, average. Despite being informed about the problems they did not offer apologies or compensation and charged full price.

If you have a lot of patience and are prepared to wait (45 minutes from ordering to eating), this is a great place. The food is average and a bit pricey, and the shakes are absolutely not worth the price, but the atmosphere is great.

Great! Great quality. Both the burgers and steaks are fantastic. The price/performance ratio is good. The service is excellent.

We ended up here by chance and luckily got a seat at the long table for four. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the burgers were absolutely amazing. We could have done without the side fries 😉 The ambiance is quaint and typically American, the staff friendly and attentive, but unfortunately, there weren't enough wait staff. The food came out pretty quickly, though, although we had to wait a bit for our drinks. We took advantage of the stop to eat and charged the car with the Tesla Supercharger next door.

We had a truly wonderful evening here. The burgers were delicious, the drinks were as expected, and the service was great. A lovely place to celebrate your silver wedding anniversary.

Incredibly good service and very tasty

The atmosphere is great and the food is okay. Two of us were here and had burgers and Philly cheese fries. The burger was below average, and the fries were tasty but cold and soggy. We waited about 40-50 minutes for the food after ordering, so it's not recommended if you're just looking for a quick bite to eat while passing through.

Nice ambiance, good food, but the servers are overwhelmed: Ordering drinks takes a long time. Part of the order is repeatedly forgotten. After the third request, fries arrive when you've already finished the rest. There's also live music here. But in my opinion, it's not necessary.

The atmosphere is pleasant and cozy, with themed decor, great service, and excellent food. The avocado fries are a must-try, a delicious treat. My only regret is that it took so long to discover this place. I loved it, will be back with my family, and will recommend it to friends.

August 2025 | The restaurant's ambiance is quite nice, and anyone who likes the American style of a grill house will feel at home there. The place is busy; we didn't have a reservation, but we were still able to get a table for three people. There are a few things, however, that we didn't like. In short: our experience wasn't that good value for money. We ordered churrasco skewers. The food arrived after a while. You have to be prepared to wait when it's so busy. The meat was still quite raw, the vegetables were raw, and everything was cold. The onion blossom was also quite raw and cold. Perhaps that's how it should be. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite right for our taste, and we won't try it again. Everything ended up being quite expensive for what you get.

Visited on a Saturday night where the place was packed. Waited 45 minutes to get a table, and about 1 hour without the food showing up. Decided to walk away. Maybe it's busy, but the service is the worst I've ever experienced. Stay away, find another place that takes customers seriously.

Very attentive and friendly service, the food arrived in just 30 minutes (not a given with 6 people). Uncomplicated and always helpful when taking additional orders or pointing out that something was wrong. The filet mignons were lukewarm, but cooked perfectly, and the chicken churrasco was too dry. It's a shame, but you can overlook it because the service was truly excellent. The whole team worked together. We were pleasantly surprised despite the critical reviews.

Super delicious food and service.

My first and last visit to Timberjacks! Since we were there at 4:30 p.m., there was a table without a reservation. We sat outside. The first server was friendly and attentive. Our drinks - 0.5l beer glasses each - were noticeably below the fill line. We were thirsty and didn't complain. The food arrived after a reasonable 20 minutes. My burger was a visual tragedy. Unfortunately, the taste was also bad. The fact that, for that price, I can still see the cut surface of the bun - meaning there is only a minimal amount of filling... is sad. When I was halfway through the burger, I came across the avocado. Instead of it being spread out as thin slices or cream, it was hidden in a wedge on 1/4 of the burger. The meat was dry and tasteless. We shared mozzarella sticks. When we bit into them, a lot of milky/watery liquid oozed out - the stick itself was rubbery. It came with a tasty ready-made dip. The homeopathic dose of salad tasted the same. Unfortunately, it felt like it had been bought ready-made. No joy. When we asked the waiter what we thought of the food, saying "I was hungry," he reacted as if he hadn't understood or didn't need any further information. The restaurant concept seems to mean that we had to deal with four different members of staff. They do their jobs. We quickly abandoned our plan to order dessert there. Another negative thing for me was the smoking area right in front of the entrance. You have to walk straight through cigarette smoke. For me, unfortunately, the visit was a complete waste of money.

Absolutely not recommended. High prices, poor service, long wait times, lukewarm or cold food. Never again. This is a world of difference compared to the Argentinian Steakhouse in Göttingen Wende. Unfortunately, they were on vacation.

How can you classify such a meal as delicious? We really wonder what else people eat. We were happy to get a really good piece of beef. Unfortunately, we were completely disappointed. The skewer was simply ridiculous, and the meat on it was raw. We were asked if we wanted it flambéed. Afterward, everything just tasted of alcohol.

Mein erster und letzter Besuch bei Timberjacks! Da wir um 16.30 Uhr dort waren, gab es ohne Reservierung einen Platz. Saßen draußen. Die erste Bedienung war freundlich und aufmerksam. Unsere Getränke - je 0,5l Bierglas waren beide auffällig weit unterhalb des Eichstrichs gefüllt . Wir hatten Durst und reklamierten es deswegen nicht. Das Essen kam nach angemessenen 20 Minuten. Mein Burger war optisch schon ein Trauerspiel. Geschmacklich leider auch. Das ich bei dem Preis noch die Schnittfläche des Buns sehe- also die minimale Füllung vorhanden ist… traurig. Als ich den Burger zur Hälfte gegessen hatte, stieß ich dann auf die Avocado. Anstatt sie als dünne Scheiben oder Creme auf der gesamten Fläche zu verteilen, war sie als eine Schnitze auf 1/4 des Burgers versteckt. Das Fleisch war trocken und ohne jedes Geschmackserlebnis. Wir teilten uns Mozzarellasticks. Beim reinbeißen lief jede Menge milchig/wässrige Flüssigkeit heraus- der Stick selbst war gummiartig. Dazu ein geschmacklich Fertigdip. So schmeckte auch die homöopathische Dosis Salat. Leider wie fertig gekauft. Keine Freude. Als wir der Bedienung auf Nachfrage mitteilten wie wir das Essen fanden „Der Hunger trieb es rein“ reagierte er, als hätte er es nicht verstanden oder hatte keinen weiteren Informationsbedarf. Das Gastrokonzept gibt es wohl so her, das wir es mit 4 verschiedenen Mitarbeitern zu tun hatten. Sie machen ihren Job. Unser Plan- dort noch eine Nachspeise zu bestellen, haben wir ganz schnell aufgegeben. Was für mich auch noch negativ aufgefallen ist: Rauchermöglichkeit direkt vor dem Eingangsbereich. Erst mal direkt durch Zigarettenqualm gehen. Für mich war der Besuch leider reine Geldverschwendung.

We were there recently and were more than disappointed. The steak was cooked perfectly well instead of medium; the service was completely clueless. Dirty cutlery three times. Reordering drinks took forever. The mayo on the table was all gone... it was brought when we paid. We also had to wait forever to pay. The noise level was extreme; we felt like we were given the worst table with five people, despite having a reservation. You had to walk over piles of paper towels to use the restroom; it was generally filthy. The prices were overpriced for what you get. We actually wanted dessert, but after 2.5 hours, we were fed up. First and last time there...

Really good food and atmosphere. When we had to pay by card they came and charged us without a receipt, and when we asked for it, he would pick it up when we had paid. We agreed. However, it turned out that they were some scammers, and without our knowledge had put a 10 percent tip on the bill, which corresponds to an extra main course. Of course I asked, but nothing could be done and others had the same experience.

The burgers were great. The first beer, a 0.5l Licher, was warm. The cocktails, a Virgin Colada and a Strawberry Kiss, were extremely sour, probably with a lot of lime. The Colada went back and came back just as sour. The fries were cold, not tasty, and only a small portion. The air conditioning was too cold. The atmosphere is and remains great, but this time we weren't satisfied 😕

After waiting for over an hour, a cold meal was served. When we complained, the food was simply reheated. We found the whole thing unacceptable...including the manager's reaction.

Been here 3 times. Medium rare rib-eye came completely cold and was closer to blue/rare and was stringy too the point of falling apart. Flat iron didn’t turn out great either. Service was friendly but overall a bit of a disappointment from this wannabe US roadhouse.

Despite having a reservation, we had to wait 15 minutes... My fillet steak for €44.90 arrived raw and rubbery, despite clearly ordering "medium." After complaining, it was burned, then recooked – with a total wait of over 60 minutes in between. The second steak arrived long after all the others had finished – and was raw again. Unfortunately, it was inedible. I had it wrapped up and cooked it myself at home. Instead of a discount, I got two pieces of cake – but the inedible steak was charged in full. Truly disappointing for a restaurant with this standard; this was my last visit to Timberjacks.

We were there for the first time today. My son and I had burgers. Unfortunately, the meat was very dry. The fries were cold. There were five of us in total, and our table wasn't cleared when we were finished. They kept bringing new food, but they didn't take away the empty plates. But there were some positives. Our friends had steak, which was very good. All our starters were good, too. It was clean and tidy, and the atmosphere was nice. However, the service still needs improvement.

For me, Timberjacks in Göttingen is more than just a restaurant – it's a true experience. As soon as you enter, you feel like you're in an American log cabin in the middle of the Canadian forests. The rustic ambiance with lots of wood, a fireplace, and stylish decor creates a special atmosphere that's rarely found. The menu offers a huge selection of burgers, steaks, and side dishes – I especially recommend the pulled pork and sweet potato fries. Even though it can get crowded and a bit noisy at times, that's part of the atmosphere for me. Anyone who enjoys hearty food, a cool atmosphere, and good drinks will definitely be happy here. I always enjoy coming here – whether with friends or for a special evening for two.

We've been to Timberjacks a few times now. Whether in Göttingen, Kassel, or Cologne. Unfortunately, the service is always different. The wait for the food is often very long. We reserved a table at 8 p.m. and the food arrived at 9:45 p.m. Not so great. Guests who arrived after us were already at dessert, and we were still waiting. Our dessert then came from the house. Which was very nice. But they really need to work on their time management. Unfortunately, this time we were rarely asked for drinks; we would have liked more.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. We went here on the advice of friends. Service was rather poor. Inattentive, overwhelmed, and even the simplest drinks on the menu were unknown. We waited over an hour for the food. The steak was very fatty, the burger patty was rubbery, and completely overseasoned. All in all, not worth 130 (!) euros for two people. The only good things were the ambiance and the parking situation...

High prices, but justified by quality!

I ate at your restaurant and the waiter, I think his name was Leon, was so polite. I gave him a 20 euro tip. He deserved it! He's such a waitress!

We arrived at 10:00 PM so we were glad to have been served. The meat wasn't great but it was well cooked and cooked as requested. As for the service, we felt like it was the end of the day.

Live music on Thursdays. Great menu, imaginative and delicious.

Very nice ambience, and it didn't matter that the place was crowded and noisy. The food was okay too. In terms of service, the whole thing was a disaster, despite the very friendly staff. The table and the menus weren't particularly clean. Although we were asked immediately what drink we wanted at our table, no one came voluntarily to take our food. We sat there for at least 30 minutes before we could persuade someone to come over to order our food... After another 45 minutes, our glasses were empty and we still hadn't had any food. If the food takes a while, it's not a problem, but I would like someone to come and ask if I wanted another drink or to tell me that it would be a while. At some point we got up to leave, and then we were suddenly told that the food would be here in two minutes. And it did. We weren't asked if we wanted any more drinks. It's a shame when a place like this shows so little interest in its customers and instead tries to serve as many people as possible. Why did the employee speak English to us? It's okay, I'm fluent in the language, but I know people who can't be expected to.

I ate here with my family because my father had been here before and enjoyed it. Unfortunately, this visit was a bit of a disappointment. First of all: There is free parking (sadly, it's a bit limited), and we had a reservation. It was my first time here, and the ambiance is definitely impressive. There's plenty to see and the atmosphere was pleasant. The music was a bit too loud at times, but most of the time it was fine—you could still have a good conversation. Drinks were served quickly at first, but then the long wait began. After 40 minutes, the last family member still hadn't received their drink, while the others had already been served. When we asked a member of staff about it, they just said they'd check—but we didn't see them again after that. At that point, we hadn't ordered any food yet, as the staff member said they'd send a server to us—but there was no sign of one. Only after another long wait did the last drink finally arrive, and we were finally able to order our food. When I asked why it took so long, the only answer I got was: "It's busy today." Honestly, I don't know what the waiter meant by "busy," because when we were there, less than half the tables were occupied and most of the guests already had their drinks. After we were finally able to order, another long wait began. Our food didn't arrive until 1.5 hours after we entered the restaurant. The food looked good, but some of it was already lukewarm or even cold—quite disappointing considering how long we had waited. It makes you wonder if the finished dishes were simply left in the kitchen before someone thought of bringing them to the guests. In the end, there was no apology, just more excuses when we asked the staff about it. My father said that back then, the service was always quick and the food arrived piping hot—but it had been quite a while since his last visit.

Cheap steaks reportedly sold out - expensive ones poorly prepared Too expensive and poor service

Everything is just right there. Friendly service, the atmosphere is unique, and the food tastes absolutely delicious!

Unfortunately, the air conditioning was set far too cold, and the food took 45 minutes to arrive, which is simply not possible with children. On top of that, it wasn't even warm at times! The family next to us had their food at the table within 15 minutes! When we pointed this out, they politely apologized, but there doesn't seem to be any plan to compensate for the inconvenience, which is a real shame!

Themed restaurant. Decent food, large portions. Seemed very kid friendly and our 1 year old was charmed. Even had some extra diapers at the changing station.

I was there 5 min ago and it’s was really bad! I paid more than 100€ for two, and the only thing I could eat was the burger, rest of the things were really bad! Even my favourite cocktail, Cosmopolitan, was really bad! Than I asked the waiter if he can put the chicken wings for me to take home and he just put on my table two small paper boxes and said to do it myself. And after when I wanted it to pay he gave me option to give him 5, 10 or 15% tips. What?! Are they crazy? Like 15% from more than 100€ is a lot of tips, and for what? So yeah, last time there

It's amazing. The service was friendly and accommodating, and the ambiance was AMAZING—everything made of wood and of such high quality. There's plenty of space and it's really pleasant to be there. WE'LL BE BACK and would 100% recommend it!

Whenever we're nearby, we like to stop here for a bite to eat. The value is great, and the staff is great too. We're very satisfied...

There are better steakhouses at better prices.

We ate at Timberjacks today and it was simply a dream. The food got better with every bite and even though the restaurant was really busy we never had to wait long. We particularly liked the excellent service from Pascal. He was simply great, professional but still relaxed and very attentive. We would love to come back again. Thank you very much :)
