I've been there 4 to 5 times and each time the owner's behavior was always the worst of the worst, but today the situation was overstepped. There were two of us and he explicitly said that we should go to the same table. That wouldn't be a problem if the place was full, but there was no one there and we couldn't even sit where we wanted. That immediately took away our appetite. When we ordered, instead of 2 colas, we only got 1, a completely over-salted soup and, as a highlight, we got beef instead of vegetarian Shapale, even though we emphasized this several times and my companion doesn't eat beef. On the whole, I can't recommend the store at all, and not even because of the food, but especially because of the really catastrophic service that makes you feel like you're eating there for free and that he's personally mad at you because of it. The woner is very rude 😤 as if we are coming for free food in his restaurant. I visited couple of time with my friends but his behaviour is always rude and disrespect full. Not recommend 😕

I can't say anything about the food or atmosphere as I was unfortunately turned away very rudely. About two weeks ago I reserved a table for two people by phone. I suspect that I spoke to the manager, who emphasized that we should please arrive on time and the time was also repeated several times, so there could be no misunderstanding. When we got there on the mat very punctually, all tables except one were occupied. However, when I told the manager (?) that I had made a reservation for two people over the phone, he said they didn't have such a reservation and that the free table was for someone else. I asked him to look again. He said (without looking), no, I didn't make a reservation. He then simply disappeared without an apology or a second glance. Mistakes can happen and I wouldn't actually write a bad review because of a lost reservation, but the treatment was absolutely condescending and I have to say it robbed me of any desire to balance this negative experience with a positive one.

Absolutely top tier homemade food. Genuine cooking skills and always a 10/10 experience. Price for food performance spot on. I have already ordered 6 times from here, never once I was disappointed. 1/5/7 all with beef. The service is great, zero complaints.♥️♥️♥️

Super delicious food! The restaurant is relatively small, but there is enough space for around 8-10 people without feeling cramped. The dishes are homemade and really taste extremely good. The service was friendly and in the end a nice young person cashed in on us. If you like delicious food without too many frills, this is the place for you. The prices are also very fair. I've been there twice now. Absolute recommendation! :)!

Traditional Tibet cuisine that exceeds expectations! Delicious and worth the wait during peak hours. Everything is hand made by just 2 or 3 people running the place, so you can be guaranteed it's authentic.

Agree to other reviewers, good food but disrespectful owner. We had food leftover he didn't want us give something for taking it away. I'd have paid extra for it. What an unfortunate food waste, and this is a Tibetian restaurant

Food is 10/10. Very very tasty authentic food. I highly recommend the dumplings with soy sauce, vinegar and chilli. The prices are really, really good too. Unfortunately the service is subpar. The owners always have headphones in their ears and you get the feeling that they don't really care. If you ask, you will even be forgotten and friendliness is a bit of a foreign word here. We'll still come back because the food impresses us.

I can certainly understand the criticism. The owner is actually not the most talkative and you rarely see him smile. But different cultures just have their different characteristics. And as a loyal regular, I have to stand up for the restaurant: the food is always on point, the momos are fresh and super tasty and we don't need to talk about the prices. You first have to find 9 euros for a large main course away from the fast food chains in Frankfurt. I think the restaurant has one of the best price-performance ratios in Frankfurt. And let me put it this way: as it calls into the forest, it rings out again.

I can't understand these positive reviews at all because the owner was totally unfriendly!!! We had ordered Coke Zero, which tasted stale, so we politely asked for a new Coke Zero. The owner (waiter) didn't bring us a new one and complained about what that meant. We had to wait a really long time for our food. Instead of apologizing, he just sat down and played around with his tablet. I really do NOT recommend this store to ANYONE.

Small traditional Tibetan restaurant near Berger Straße. Ate the Tibetan dish “Momos” with vegetables. These are filled dumplings. 10 pieces cost €9.90, and there is vinegar and soy on the table as a sauce. Everything is also available as a vegetarian version, which is a plus. In itself it was tasty, minus points for the unfriendly manner of the waiter/owner.

The owner/waiter is very arrogant. There were five of us and one of us didn't want to eat because he only came to keep us company. The waiter/owner directly refused to take the remaining 4 people's orders.

When I lived in Giessen, Germany, I often enjoyed momo at this place. The taste was consistently excellent every time. The momo were so delicious. However, they didn't serve any sauce with them; you had to mix chili flakes and vinegar to make your own sauce if desired.

One of the worst experiences I had. No respect and very bad attitude towards customers. No good service.

Unfortunately, I agree with all the bad reviews... I saw an advertisement on Instagram and really wanted to try the Maultaschen. The girl in the video said: I'm afraid the place will quickly go viral 😁😁😁 never will😁😁😁 explain why: hardly any service... ok, don't really need it, thanks for the landlord not throwing food in my face, yes well😎 The portion was super tiny: I ordered Maultaschen with beef. What did I get? Correct! Pork😁😁😁😁 I eat pork too, no problem, but I ordered beef... pure bullshit... remaining money was almost thrown in my face... Thanks, but no... never ever! Hope, goes bankrupt and closes...

Food is a dream. Location very basic. Service okay. But as I said: the best Udong noodles in Frankfurt. I often get takeaway food. Delicious and fairly priced.

Their momos are great, go for it without a second thought. Thukpa is also nice. Fried noodles are ok, we've had better. Service is something they can work on, the servers are rude and do not listen easily. When you go, please place all of your order at once, as this place gets crowded quickly and then you'll have to wait an hour for your food.

Awesome little secret restaurant with huge portions, very tasty specialties and a small but good selection of dishes. Definitely recommend!

And I guess the owner's son served it. He is a disaster!!! Cheeky and unfriendly! I asked politely twice if he could wipe our table and there was simply no response. He was like that with other guests too. So the food is delicious but I don't go there anymore, I've been there a few times before. Completely unfortunate

Food is amazing. Not a great place for a first date, but it is great value for money.

I came here without any high expectations considering the place and cheap price, but still I'm really disappointed. The noodles was hard and bland for my personal preference. The momos skin is too thick. I know they give big portion for such low price, but Its better to make smaller portion with better flavour. Or maybe I just don't get tibetan dish? But I have east asian background so I think I know what a good noodle and dumplings is. Oh, and the waiting time took forever. It was full there but only 2 work in the kitchen, I think, and 1 who takes orders. And the service was not it 😭 he dont react to what you say, dont smile and only talk if needed. I mean I don't have any problems with that kind of service and it doesnt weigh in my rating, but I just want to put it out there.

Really good food. Ridiculously grumpy service and ok ambience - but did I mention the food's really good? And the prices are Cheap (for Frankfurt). All dishes come vegetarian, possibly vegan as well.

The food was okay, the portions were small and there was an inexplicably long wait even though there was almost nothing going on in the store. The staff was also very unfriendly, barely looked at each other and wasn't helpful either. The food was very fresh, but it wasn't hot and I wouldn't eat here again. Easter ring on a bun or something

Momos and Noodles taste great! Visited this place with friends and was delighted by the authentic taste of Momos and noodles. We ate veg momos and they were delicious. Rich in flavors and served hot at a pocket friendly price. The chicken noodles were tasty and the portion size was good. I would recommend this place for its taste and budget friendly rates. On the other hand, I found the service quite slow and the ambience very average.

The ambience is so-so, but the small and fine restaurant scores with super authentic food, large portions, fresh dishes, very good taste and warmth. Only the service was a bit slow, but all in all we had a very nice evening and would love to come back here!

That was the most annoying restaurant visit of my life. While we were ordering the waiter just turned around annoyed and walked away even though we hadn't finished ordering, we weren't given any plates and had to eat from napkins, it took 35 minutes for the food to be ready, other guests were shouted from a table of 4 rudely chased away because there were only two of them, even though most of the restaurant was empty. Another guest was yelled at because he asked for a plate instead of having to eat from a napkin and the food itself was totally over salted and really not tasty. The waiter then sat down in the middle of the table with a beer while constantly wiping the profuse sweat from his forehead and watched a series loudly on an iPad. In the end he was also angry and rude when I didn't give a tip. Just annoying, it's a wonder he still has guests who are stupid enough to put up with all of this. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

There was no service at all. The waiter says you should clean the table yourself. We waited 1 hour for the table but then behaved as we got free food. The cellar was a child. He looks under 15 and has no desire to work at all. I have never experienced such humiliation anywhere before.

The goodness of the food absolutely cannot compensate for the rudeness of the owner. We were greeted in a rude way, as there were five of us, following a reservation for 7 people. We waited almost half an hour to order and, when it came to the bill, two euros were literally thrown at me because I refused to leave a tip. I won't be coming back again

Worst service ever! Avoid at any cost

I'm divided. The Thukpa soup was delicious, especially considering the cheap price. The mokthuk soup as well. Both felt homemade/handmade. The salad was very simple. But we waited almost an hour for our food, which I find inappropriate for a bistro with 9 dishes on the menu. Maybe the restaurant was overloaded with Lieferando orders that day?

A really authentic Tibetan place in Frankfurt. The soups are amazing, generous and very cheap compared to other places.

The food is delicious, but they prepare the food very slowly and you have to wait a long time. Also, waiters can act indifferently.

So the food can't be that tasty to justify the ridiculous waiting time and the non-existent service. Even though there was nothing going on, the order was only taken after 30 minutes. I had to wait another 20 minutes for the drinks and 1.5 hours for the food. I can't recommend anyone

Der Service war okay, wir durften noch länger sitzenbleiben obwohl das Restaurant eigentlich schon Mittagspause hatte. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert!

The food is absolutely delicious and the price is also cheap but the service is very very slow. The staff don't even care for you for a long time if you don't ask for food even if no customer is around the place. I picked the beer & poured it by myself and the staff took almost 5 minutes to bring me the beer opener and a glass. I waited 30 minutes to get the food.

Das Essen ist geschmacklich sehr gut. Leider haben wir nicht bekommen, was wir bestellt haben. Nach dem Hinweis an den schon beim Eintreten nicht gerade freundlich wirkenden Bediener, antwortete dieser mit frechen Begründungen. „Wir haben kein Pac Choi, kein Tofu und keinen Spinat. Sie haben dafür Tomaten und Brokkoli.“ Er war sehr uneinsichtig und warf uns vorwurfsvoll entgegen: „Sie bekommen große Portionen und beschweren sich. Das hat noch keiner gemacht.“ Für uns geht es hier nicht wieder hin. Kundenorientierung kennt man hier nicht.

Leckeres Essen aber extrem unfreundlicher Besitzer. Wir waren kurz davor zu gehen weil er uns angefahren hat dass wir so lange warten mit der Bestellung obwohl wir direkt Vorspeisen bestellt haben. Er hat uns dann keines Blickes mehr gewürdigt und wir haben eine Stunde auf das Essen gewartet. Leider das letzte Mal dort gegessen.

Lokal ist etwas eng, aber das Essen ist top. Der Besitzer ist auch ein sehr lieber Mensch, auch wenn der erste Eindruck streng erschien. Für kleines Geld ist die Menge der Gerichte recht groß und es schmeckt auch noch sehr gut. Wenn ich das nächste Mal wieder Lust auf Momos habe, werde ich auf jeden Fall nochmal vorbeischauen. :) Wir hatten Momos mit Rindfleisch, Nudeln mit Hackfleischsauce und Nudelsuppe. Alles war sehr lecker und zu empfehlen!

Essen ist super lecker, viel und günstig. Man merkt, dass die Nudeln und die Teigtaschen selbst gemacht sind! Der Inhaber war sehr unfreundlich und hat zu viel Geld behalten wollen. Jedoch hat das gute Essen dies wieder wett gemacht.

Die Speisekarte ist mit 12 Gerichten überschaubar. Das Essen hat aber sehr gut geschmeckt. Die hausgemachten Nudeln waren genau richtig, nicht zu weich, nicht zu fest. Die Hackfleischsoße war perfekt gewürzt und die Portion groß. Ein gutes Abendessen mit Tee für 10 Euro, da kann man doch rundum zufrieden sein. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Der Gastraum war etwas kühl, da bei unter 10 Grad Außentemperatur die Fenster offen standen.

Hier ist ganz klar der Fokus auf dem Essen. Es dauert zwar unter Umständen etwas länger, aber alles ist frisch zubereitet und das schmeckt man. Die Preise sind fair. Die Nudeln könnten etwas mehr Soße vertragen. Ansonsten alles super.

It's a small place but serves good Tibetian dishes for a cheap price compared to other Tibetian restaurants in Frankfurt. For the amount you can expect decent food. The momos were tasty but could have been more filled with veggies,but the chutney served was very delicious and the chicken chowmein was good for the price but was not happy with the chicken as it was too rubbery and one of my friends shared the same experience, so I would recommend Momos👍

Sehr leckere und vergleichsweise preiswerte Speisen. Die Zubereitung dauerte ihre Zeit (meiner Meinung nach aber vollkommen im Rahmen) und geschmacklich war es wirklich super. Die Einrichtung war einfach und verfügte über viele authentische Elemente. Die Parkplatzsituation ist im Sandweg etwas schwieriger aber es gibt ein nahegelegenes Parkhaus, welches lediglich 1€/Stunde kostet.

For anyone who likes handmade noodles this would be a perfect choice. As I visited this place for over 2 years I can give a fair remark. While all restaurants are pricing more, this place sticks to the best price, a big Bier/Apfelschorle/cola costs only 2.6€?! The owner and his family are shy to express themselves, this doesn’t mean the guests are not welcome. Highly recommended as frequent customer👍

Er bedient alleine, also haben Sie bitte etwas Geduld. Bei Nummer 8 muss man viel Soja Sauce hinzufügen. Aber war sehr lecker und auch günstig!

Tried the Tibetan dishes at this restaurant, and I must say they are incredibly delicious. The portion sizes are quite generous, and you'll definitely feel like you're getting great value for your money. However, I did encounter some service issues during my visit. It seems that the owner might need a little more training in hospitality 😉. Despite that, the tatsy food makes it worth a visit!

Das Essen ist okay. Man merkt, dass die Dumplings und Nudeln selbst gemacht sind. In meiner Suppe waren die selbstgemachten Nudeln allerdings großteils nicht wirklich voneinander getrennt, sodass ich statt fünf breiter Nudeln einen Kloß an Teig hatte. Trotzdem hat es ganz gut geschmeckt. Für mein Empfinden aber auch nicht besonders. Der Besitzer war ehrlich gesagt nicht sehr freundlich. Er hat genervt gewirkt. Vielleicht hatte er einfach einen schlechten Tag. Das Ambiente ist in Ordnung drinnen. Würde eventuell wiederkommen, allerdings auch nur, da es vergleichsweise günstig ist.

Super Preisleistung. Chef sehr knauserig, aber authentisch. Bestens für To-Go geeignet, da das Restaurant nicht das Gemutlichste ist. Alles sehr lecker..

When I’m in mood to have momos this is the place I go! I Totally love the taste of vegetarian momos here! Even though the place is a bit small, it is surely got good vibes! All in all a great experience!

Die Suppe schmeckt mir gut. Cha-Palé ist auch sehr lecker. Die Nudeln mit Fleischsoße waren letztes Mal leider nicht so gut. Ja, ich stimme dem zu, dass beim Kundenservice und Präsentation des Lokals Luft nach oben ist (junge, mürrische, wortkarge Bedienung). Für kleines Geld fand ich es Ok.

Nicht zu sagen. Hier gibt's was ganz leckeres zum Essen. Ordentlich und gemütlich. Ich bin oft wieder hier.

Sinceramente, un sabor un poco agridulce. Había leído bastante del lugar y fui con muchas ganas, no obstante, los fideos que me comí (Gyathuk) me parecieron algo insípidos, además de pesadísimos. De las digestiones más duras que he tenido en tiempo. Adicionalmente, pedímos un e plato de momos que estaba realmente bueno, además de otro plato de fídeos con pollo que también cumplió el expediente (Ngothuk) El precio es bastante competitivo y la decoración del local hace justicia a lo que uno espera. Eso si, solo pago en efectivo, aviso a navegantes. Volveré. Imagino que será cosa de no pedir otra vez el Gyathuk :)

Die Auswahl der Speisen ist klein, aber vollkommen ausreichend. Frisch zubereitet kommen sie dampfend an den Tisch und sind einfach lecker. Schön das es alle mit und ohne Fleisch gibt. Die Portionen sind groß, die Preise erfreulich klein. Der Gastraum umfasst wenige, nah beieinander stehende Tische und ist sehr einfach eingerichtet, die Garstube direkt daneben, die ganze Atmosphäre sehr familiär.

Die Momos auf jeden Fall ein muss, erinnert an die Usbekischen Manti. Thukpa die traditionelle Suppe war köstlich und natürlich im Geschmack. Ngothuk, auch sehr gut. Die Nudeln sind einfach nur lecker 👌🏽 wir kommen öfter . Die Portionen sind ordentlich und wir konnten nur mit Bargeld bezahlen, wie in schönen alten Zeiten 😄

Original tibetisches Essen, super leckere Teigtaschen, tolle Suppen. Große Portionen. Super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Alle Speisen auch vegetarisch! Achtung: Kleiner Gastraum, wenig Platz und SEHR gut besucht. (Geheimtipp??) Karte mit nicht so großer Auswahl.

Wir waren recht spät zum Mittagessen hier - und daher konnten wir am Ende miterleben, wie Koch und Kellner auch dort gegessen haben. Das ist schon mal ein sehr gutes Zeichen! Wir waren auch sehr positiv angetan, Essen und Ambiente sind sehr authentisch, teuer ist es auch nicht. Wir kommen gern mal wieder!

Very cozy little Tibetan restaurant in the Bornheim neighborhood of Frankfurt. Simple menu with “momos,” or Tibetan dumplings as the star attraction. Very friendly staff and service, with a range of interesting soups and noodle dishes. The momos are very filling and can easily replace a dish so be aware, we had them as an appetizer and had trouble finishing our dishes. Definitely comfort food.

Wenn ich schnell und einfach etwas gutes Essen möchte, radele ich in den Sandweg, um im Tibet Bistro ausgezeichnete Momos (tibetische Ravioli) oder Nudelgerichte zu Essen. Familiär geführt. Schlicht. Und einfach ein Top Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Schmeckt tatsächlich, wie in Nepal oder Tibet. Also authentisch.
