The food was great on my first visit, but even then the service was strange with everyone. Now, after my second visit, I'm truly astonished at how absurdly unfriendly they are. I really hope the owner gets better soon and that people aren't treated so badly anymore: simply ignoring so many guests.

We wanted to eat there as a couple. However, there were no tables available. The waiter barely spoke to us and was very disrespectful and unfriendly. Mid-conversation, he went into the kitchen and left us standing there. We weren't allowed to sit at a table that had become available in the meantime, nor could we order anything to take away. It's a shame, but that's no way to treat customers!

I came here for the first time based on the supposedly good reviews and immediately ordered the momos. Upon closer inspection of the reviews, I noticed that most of the positive ones are many years old. All the negative ones (bad food and service) are from the last few months/a year. Unfortunately, the waiter was very unfriendly to me and other guests while I was there. I felt like I was intruding. The vegetarian momos were a huge disappointment. They were filled with carrots, onions, and cabbage, but tasted very bland and simply like the familiar bouillon cube. The decor isn't exactly inviting either; it's very mismatched and lacks any charm. Absolutely not recommended. I'm sure there are still great Tibetan restaurants to discover in Frankfurt.

Food tastes very good and very nice service

I'm truly shocked by what I experienced here. The food was delicious, but the owner/server behaved with complete disrespect. I saw him secretly pointing his camera at a woman's buttocks and filming her as she walked back to her seat from the restroom. When I confronted him, he deleted the video—I was so stunned that I didn't even think to call the police right away. Simply disgusting and inappropriate. I'm never coming here again.

The service at this restaurant was, unfortunately, very disappointing. My questions were completely ignored, and the staff were very unfriendly and indifferent throughout my entire visit. There was a complete lack of friendliness and attentiveness. I actually wanted to try the food, but because of the poor service, I definitely won't be coming back.

We went there twice bcoz we Nepalese people love momos.. food is normal , not so good , not so bad but owner is the rudest ever… normally tibetanisch are friendly but unexpected experience we’ve got .. there are many Tibet bistro in Frankfurt .. we definitely avoid this one .

Tibet Bistro serves delicious food in a cozy setting. The flavors were fantastic, though I wasn't a big fan of the service, which was a bit slow. Also, since the restaurant is small, it can be hard to get a reservation or find a spot. Still, a great place for tasty Tibetan dishes if you can secure a table.

When I picked up the food, they simply withheld a tip. There was no proper bill either. It's a shame, the food is good.

The value for money is truly excellent. You'd usually pay twice as much for comparable portions. The owner is a bit brusque, and you shouldn't necessarily expect a smile here. If that bothers you, you should probably look elsewhere. I, on the other hand, always enjoy going there.

I've been here many times. The food is always delicious, and the prices are unbeatable for Frankfurt. I can't understand the criticism of the service here; the waiter was always polite and attentive.

I have been visiting the shop for years and think it is a nice, fine bistro. I can't say anything about the prices; they are cheap and absolutely justified. The quality has always been high. As an Asian, I have to say it tastes above average compared to most bistros in Frankfurt and you always go home with a full stomach and a happy feeling.

Momos undercooked, tasteless, and microwaved. Service also takes very long. This place is cash only. When I went to pay, the owner/waiter did not even bother giving me back my change. He just sat in the kitchen and I had to go inside to inquire about the change. Terrible service alongside terrible food. Definitely heed the other negative comments written about this place.

Their momo are great, go for it without a second thought. Thukpa is also nice. Fried noodles are ok, we've had better. Service is something they can work on, the servers are rude and do not listen easily. When you go, please place all of your order at once, as this place gets crowded quickly and then you'll have to wait an hour for your food.

The place is small, but the food is VERY DELICIOUS, you can tell they make it fresh, the dishes are quite tasty, my partner ordered 'kamthuk', I ordered a 'ngothuk' and some exquisite momos or dumplings, the portion of the dishes is very substantial, the wait time was about 20 minutes approximately for the food to be brought, but it was worth it. They serve you with a fork, knife and chopsticks, according to your preference. The gentleman who served us was not heavy or unfriendly, he was friendly, he just takes down the order and brings you the cutlery and drink, in general everything, including the service, was good. The food was very good and the price is very good for the dishes. I would go again 🫶 I recommend it 100/10.

I’ve been there 2–3 times. The food is okay, nothing special. However, the service is awful, and the owner is very rude. We arrived first and placed our order immediately, but we still had to wait almost 45 minutes. Despite this, the owner served people who arrived after us before serving us. When I asked for a small bowl for sauce, he flatly said no. Also, they only accept cash, which is very inconvenient. The whole experience was horrible, and our dinner was ruined because of his behavior. I do not recommend this place.

I bought noodle soup and momos here to pick up (€20 together) – and I really regretted it. The noodles weren't separated from the soup, so most of the soup had been absorbed by the time I got home. The soup tasted like Maggie/Knorr stock cubes. I can't imagine it was freshly made. The momos were edible, but quite dry and no better than frozen dumplings from an Asian store. The owner was unfriendly and scratched his shirt when I came in – not exactly hygienic. Next time, I'd rather pay a few euros more to go to a good ramen restaurant...

Never seen such an unfriendly staff and unwelcomed behavior in the restaurant. Reading all those old reviews, I got to know that I was not the only one who thought so.. MOMo was horrendous and felt like eating chewy dough. Chowmin was ok. Asking for the sauce for the MOMO, he says NO🤣. Only Cash is allowed in the restaurant, we all know why 😏.

Come here for flavorful Tibetan food. One of the few places in Frankfurt that offers fresh steamed momos and dumplings. Vegetarian noodles was amazing. Service was slightly delayed. The restaurant has limited seating and is usually full.

Very bad service. We ordered takeaway and the momos we got were old. We asked for chilli sauce and the owner said its already there, but gave us soya sauce instead. When we asked him for it again, he charged us extra for it. He also wasn't friendly.

The food in this place is really amazing, and so are the prices. The homemade noodles were so chewy and delicious, one of the best I’ve ever had. My advice to people who want to go there are are reading comments about the owner: yes, he is direct, yes - if you want your food altered in some way - it is not for you, if you expect waiters to be super friendly and chatty - this place is also not for you. If you just want to eat great Tibetan food, pay and be done with your meal - you’ll not regret coming there and I recommend it.

I have rarely experienced something so unprofessional. Sorry, but you should delete that as soon as possible. Until then, unfortunately only 1 star. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I can certainly understand the criticism. The owner is actually not the most talkative and you rarely see him smile. But different cultures just have their different characteristics. And as a loyal regular, I have to stand up for the restaurant: the food is always on point, the momos are fresh and super tasty and we don't need to talk about the prices. You first have to find 9 euros for a large main course away from the fast food chains in Frankfurt. I think the restaurant has one of the best price-performance ratios in Frankfurt. And let me put it this way: as it calls into the forest, it rings out again.

Food was nicely prepared, large portions and came quite quickly. Drink prices in particular are very cheap for Frankfurt. However, the food was very bland for my taste. Unfortunately, I also have to mention that there was a cockroach walking around on the wall next to us. Service as already described in the other comments. All in all, it was okay if you want to satisfy your hunger and try Tibetan cuisine. I probably won't make a second visit.

We wanted to try out first lunch meal here today but the person who was taking the order was extremely rude and asked us what to drink along with the food when we just wanted to eat only . When we politely refused he started murmuring to his colleague in a very condescending tone by pointing to us. We were shocked as we never saw a reaction as such in any restaurant in the Sachsenhausen region ever since we moved to Frankfurt area 10 years back . Absolutely top tier homemade food. Genuine cooking skills and always a 10/10 experience. Price for food performance spot on. I have already ordered 6 times from here, never once I was disappointed. 1/5/7 all with beef. The service is great, zero complaints.♥️♥️♥️

I can't say anything about the food or atmosphere as I was unfortunately turned away very rudely. About two weeks ago I reserved a table for two people by phone. I suspect that I spoke to the manager, who emphasized that we should please arrive on time and the time was also repeated several times, so there could be no misunderstanding. When we got there on the mat very punctually, all tables except one were occupied. However, when I told the manager (?) that I had made a reservation for two people over the phone, he said they didn't have such a reservation and that the free table was for someone else. I asked him to look again. He said (without looking), no, I didn't make a reservation. He then simply disappeared without an apology or a second glance. Mistakes can happen and I wouldn't actually write a bad review because of a lost reservation, but the treatment was absolutely condescending and I have to say it robbed me of any desire to balance this negative experience with a positive one.

Super delicious food! The restaurant is relatively small, but there is enough space for around 8-10 people without feeling cramped. The dishes are homemade and really taste extremely good. The service was friendly and in the end a nice young person cashed in on us. If you like delicious food without too many frills, this is the place for you. The prices are also very fair. I've been there twice now. Absolute recommendation! :)!

Traditional Tibet cuisine that exceeds expectations! Delicious and worth the wait during peak hours. Everything is hand made by just 2 or 3 people running the place, so you can be guaranteed it's authentic.

Food is 10/10. Very very tasty authentic food. I highly recommend the dumplings with soy sauce, vinegar and chilli. The prices are really, really good too. Unfortunately the service is subpar. The owners always have headphones in their ears and you get the feeling that they don't really care. If you ask, you will even be forgotten and friendliness is a bit of a foreign word here. We'll still come back because the food impresses us.

I can't understand these positive reviews at all because the owner was totally unfriendly!!! We had ordered Coke Zero, which tasted stale, so we politely asked for a new Coke Zero. The owner (waiter) didn't bring us a new one and complained about what that meant. We had to wait a really long time for our food. Instead of apologizing, he just sat down and played around with his tablet. I really do NOT recommend this store to ANYONE.

Small traditional Tibetan restaurant near Berger Straße. Ate the Tibetan dish “Momos” with vegetables. These are filled dumplings. 10 pieces cost €9.90, and there is vinegar and soy on the table as a sauce. Everything is also available as a vegetarian version, which is a plus. In itself it was tasty, minus points for the unfriendly manner of the waiter/owner.

The owner/waiter is very arrogant. There were five of us and one of us didn't want to eat because he only came to keep us company. The waiter/owner directly refused to take the remaining 4 people's orders.

When I lived in Giessen, Germany, I often enjoyed momo at this place. The taste was consistently excellent every time. The momo were so delicious. However, they didn't serve any sauce with them; you had to mix chili flakes and vinegar to make your own sauce if desired.

Unfortunately, I agree with all the bad reviews... I saw an advertisement on Instagram and really wanted to try the Maultaschen. The girl in the video said: I'm afraid the place will quickly go viral 😁😁😁 never will😁😁😁 explain why: hardly any service... ok, don't really need it, thanks for the landlord not throwing food in my face, yes well😎 The portion was super tiny: I ordered Maultaschen with beef. What did I get? Correct! Pork😁😁😁😁 I eat pork too, no problem, but I ordered beef... pure bullshit... remaining money was almost thrown in my face... Thanks, but no... never ever! Hope, goes bankrupt and closes...

I came here without any high expectations considering the place and cheap price, but still I'm really disappointed. The noodles was hard and bland for my personal preference. The momos skin is too thick. I know they give big portion for such low price, but Its better to make smaller portion with better flavour. Or maybe I just don't get tibetan dish? But I have east asian background so I think I know what a good noodle and dumplings is. Oh, and the waiting time took forever. It was full there but only 2 work in the kitchen, I think, and 1 who takes orders. And the service was not it 😭 he dont react to what you say, dont smile and only talk if needed. I mean I don't have any problems with that kind of service and it doesnt weigh in my rating, but I just want to put it out there.

Momos and Noodles taste great! Visited this place with friends and was delighted by the authentic taste of Momos and noodles. We ate veg momos and they were delicious. Rich in flavors and served hot at a pocket friendly price. The chicken noodles were tasty and the portion size was good. I would recommend this place for its taste and budget friendly rates. On the other hand, I found the service quite slow and the ambience very average.

That was the most annoying restaurant visit of my life. While we were ordering the waiter just turned around annoyed and walked away even though we hadn't finished ordering, we weren't given any plates and had to eat from napkins, it took 35 minutes for the food to be ready, other guests were shouted from a table of 4 rudely chased away because there were only two of them, even though most of the restaurant was empty. Another guest was yelled at because he asked for a plate instead of having to eat from a napkin and the food itself was totally over salted and really not tasty. The waiter then sat down in the middle of the table with a beer while constantly wiping the profuse sweat from his forehead and watched a series loudly on an iPad. In the end he was also angry and rude when I didn't give a tip. Just annoying, it's a wonder he still has guests who are stupid enough to put up with all of this. NEVER AGAIN!!!!
