The restaurant has a beautiful beer garden great in summer.

I've been coming to this place for years and have never been disappointed with the quality and preparation of the food. The lamb and grilled peppers are particularly recommended. The restaurant is so good that we decided to celebrate our wedding there. Need I say more? Food, staff, ambience, everything was top notch. I even went there once and wanted something to take away and then they simply gave me cutlery and put the food in a banana box. It was so easy to eat outside, they didn't even want the metal cutlery back, but they brought it to them anyway.

We have been regular guests at Thomas Grill for more than 20 years. We've probably tried every Greek restaurant in our area during this time. We have now stopped trying further because none of the other Greeks can match the quality that we get at the Thomas Grill. Everything is right for us here! Delicious starters (our favorites: sheep's cheese in the pan or grilled peppers), main courses (some favorites: Kreta plate special, Alexandros skewer, special skewer, gyros with sheep's cheese and many others). We haven't managed a dessert yet due to the sufficient quantity. And finally, don't forget the friendly hosts and the attentive and always up for a joke Service team.

We have been coming to Thomas Grill for years.. The food is great as always... The appetizer alone of grilled pepperoni and the sheep's cheese in the pan is a stunner, That alone fills us up with plenty of bread. I always eat the Athens plate and my wife always enjoys the Thomas Grill plate. ... The staff is attentive and funny... You feel very comfortable... Greetings to the kitchen do a great job even on hot days..

Absolutely not recommended! Anyone who puts plastic tablecloths, fake plants and the cheapest napkins on the table at these prices doesn't have them all! For these prices, which you normally pay in upscale restaurants, I expect a different service, a different quality of food and, above all, a professionally set table! Someone calculates prices without any knowledge and purely to make money. Absolutely not recommended in any respect. Here you get a normal, average rump steak, fries that taste like old oil and, best of all, a children's schnitzel, which you couldn't eat because it was fried into a biscuit and which you definitely don't let your child eat, for the high prices you get at the Weinstraße paid😅 Crazy, I can't think of anything else about it! We were six adults and one toddler, none of us were happy and none of us would come back and we tell EVERYONE that. Something like that shouldn't be supported. Addition, after the owner's answer: My review is based on MY EXPERIENCES that I had in your “restaurant”🤷🏻‍♀️ I know, to your chagrin, the shopping prices😅 It has nothing to do with inflation in your store🤷🏻‍♀️ When were we there? About 6 weeks ago. If you have changed that with the “protective tablecloths”, I call it plastic tablecloths to save on laundry costs, then it is good. Best Greek restaurant in Ludwigshafen and the surrounding area. Not cheap for it. Very good quality and the price-performance ratio is right. You definitely get more than full and usually take the “leftover” home with you.

Friendly and very nice service. The food is always very tasty. I can only recommend meat dishes. Unfortunately, I find the noise a bit unpleasant when the restaurant is fully booked. Maybe it was the guests that evening. Otherwise highly recommended.

Had a wonderful meal here this evening. The lamb fillet skewer with garlic sauce was a poem - the meat was very tender and tasty. The Rhodo plate was also a culinary delight. Fries were crispy and the food came without a long wait, even though it was very busy. Reservations are definitely recommended, as it seems to be widely known that the food here is delicious. The waitress (young man) was very friendly and brought a good mood. We'll definitely be back, as promised :-)

Update February 16, 2024 Out of desperation (everyone's stomach was grumbling) we dared to do it again after years... So from the outside and the guest room, still quite inviting. However, the plastic protective covers (from the actual tablecloths) exuded a bit of a chip shop or kebab shop feel with a seating area (That's not a bad thing, it's nice, but for a restaurant with a "such" menu... next sentence 😉...) I was a bit suspicious about the menu, the prices had become quite steep. Compared to other Greek restaurants, I estimated that here you easily get an extra €3 per meal ordered, the price, 6.40, for a bottle of water is already an outrage. Ordered, food comes, I quickly go to the toilet... terrible... after the guest room, all the tiles up to the men's toilet door, through the toilet to the urinal, everything was stuck... I was around 5:55 p.m. " on the way,” not at 11 p.m., just before closing time. You could have wiped it. Disgusting. I gave my shoes a thorough cleaning at home with a cleaning cloth and cleaner. The service was also very nice, we were often asked if it tasted good… To eat: The salad is great, you can't complain. Finally no mayo sauce, just some vinegar and oil. Nice. The senior schnitzel is “only one”, the normal schnitzel “is for two”. It was super fried, nice crust, really... but the prices for senior / normal are completely over the top The gyros with metaxa sauce and cheese… when it came, the plate was ice cold, the food was already a bit cold. It's hard to assume that the gyros came on the plate, the sauce on top and then you just waited until the cheese on top was melted. You might want to bake such dishes in the salamander… or melt the cheese with a Bunsen burner. I think that would be great. Then came the bill... We saw when we ordered that it would be expensive. In combination with the flair and the well-sticky floor... it doesn't deserve 5 or 4 stars... and I think it's really too expensive. (I think the prices are also due to a lack of competition. That was different when “the other shop” still existed (closed for about 5 years, the owner must have retired back then and returned to Greece)). 2022 Very cozy atmosphere, I can't complain. The grilled peppers are covered with garlic mayonnaise as standard... if you like it... The meat is also OK, but if you have eaten there often you will notice that different meat dishes are seasoned almost the same and are very well cooked (the meat is basically straw-dry, so only tzatziki helps). The gyros with pepper sauce (pepper sauce = garlic mayonnaise (like the grilled pepperoni) only with pickled green peppercorns)... just on top... terrible. I couldn't eat it...

The salads and appetizers were excellent. advice for those people who only eat chicken to be careful with their choice of meat. I chose lamb and the taste was too specific for me.

We ate here for the second time, service was super nice, food and drinks came quickly, everything was very good, we'd be happy to come back P.S. I would prefer if the hot raspberries were not served over ice cream but rather both separately

Mein Essen Gyros mit gerösteten Zwiebeln war leider zwischen Lauwarm und Kalt. Die Zwiebeln waren wohl fertig bzw schon viel früher gebacken und auf bewahrt. Ich habe leider dadurch da das lauwarm war auch keine Gewürze geschmeckt. Ich kenne den Besitzer noch aus Friesenheim Zeiten wo das Gyros frischer war die Zwiebeln waren frisch in Ringform darüber geschnitten. Das Fleisch saftig und knusprig Gewürze wurden erkannt dass man grieschich Essen war. Ich hätte mir die alte Zubereitung gewünscht, denn darauf hatte ich mich sehr gefreut.

Das Essen ist wirklich außergewöhnliche lecker, vielleicht etwas hochpreisiger als in einem anderen Restaurant, aber den Preis absolut wert. Auch der Service ist sehr gut. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder. Vielen Dank für die tolle Bewirtung.

Das Essen was wir bestellt hatten war rundum gelungen. Abgerundet wurde der Abend durch das tolle weihnachtliche Ambiente und den netten, zuvorkommenden Service. Die Portionsgröße ist gut und vieles mit Liebe zum Detail angerichtet. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir haben beim Thomas Grill mal wieder sehr lecker gegessen. Ohne Reservierung bekamen wir zum Glück noch einen Tisch im sehr schönen Biergarten. Der Service war sehr gut und freundlich. Obwohl viel los war mussten wir nicht lange auf unser Essen warten. Ich hatte Oliven und Peperoni und den Knoblauchteller, was alles sehr lecker war. Zum Schluss gab es noch einen leckeren Ouzo.

Wie immer top! Speisen, Getränke und Service!

Wir gehen aus gutem Grund öfters dort essen. Bisher war alles lecker, was wir gegessen haben. Und im Sommer wieder im Biergarten sitzen.

War mit Frau und Schwiegereltern das erste Mal dort. Haben kurzfristig innerhalb von 30 min einen Tisch Telefonisch reserviert und einen gleich bekommen. Top. Bedienung sehr Freundlich und das Essen hat uns auch sehr gut geschmeckt. Parkplätze sind genügend vorhanden als wir ankamen. Im großen und ganzen sehr zufrieden.

We visited this place during our trip to Mannheim because we were looking to eat something tasty and Greek. From the moment we entered the restaurant, the whole atmosphere captivated us. The restaurant was decorated beautifully and the menu included exceptional dishes inspired by Greek cuisine. We tried the original gyros, Greek salad, green baked peppers with white sauce, garlic bread with Greek feta and olive oil, and eventually ended up tasting the dessert of the day, which was cheesecake with caramel and strawberry sauce. Overall, it was a very nice experience. The owners, Mr. Thomas and his wife Mrs. Litsa, were absolutely kind and eager to give us any additional information about the surrounding area and interesting sites we might want to visit. They were very kind and humble people, and we are so happy we found this place. We highly recommend it to anyone who visits Mannheim. Thank you so much, and we look forward to seeing you again in case we decide to revisit Germany in the future.

Sehr leckeres Essen, top Preis Leistung, sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Absolut zu empfehlen

Wir waren in einer größeren Gruppe in diesem griechischen Lokal, das abgelegen in einer Wohngegend liegt, wirkt schon von außen nicht sehr einladend, Einrichtung ist schlicht und einfach, mussten zeitlich länger warten bis der Kellner die Getränkebestellung aufnahm, bei der Essensbestellung war es genauso. Wir waren um 17 Uhr die ersten Gäste ! Die Karte bietet außer dem ganzen Fisch nichts Besonderes, fetthaltig mit großem Fleischanteil, der Blattsalat schmeckte muffig und sah " ein paar Tage älter " aus. Bei den gegrillten Peperoni mit Knoblauchsoße konnte man keinen Knoblauchgeschmack erkennen. Die Soßen sind nicht hausgemacht, sondern zugekauft. Beim Abräumen wurde nur oberflächlich gearbeitet, mancher Teller blieb stehen und man war gezwungen den Kellner darauf aufmerksam zu machen. Insgesamt sind die Getränke teuer, Teller mit Fleisch überfüllt, ist verbesserungswürdig, vielleicht lohnt sich die Mühe, das Lokal konnte nicht punkten und die griechische Küche ist kein Favorit

Wir waren dort mit Freunden essen und es wahr bis auf eine Sache Super. Fleisch war auf den Punkt und die Gegrillten Peperoni einfach super. Perfect wer’s gewesen wenn man sich nicht beträngt gefühlt hätte das man gehen soll. Man bekam zu schnell alles auf einander an den Tisch und der ouzo zum Abschluss gleich hinterher. Man will gemütlich essen gehen! Daher eins Abzug

Das Restaurant mit griechischer Küche verfügt über einen großen Gastraum und einen schönen Biergarten, der im Sommerhalbjahr bis 22:00 Uhr geöffnet ist. Der Service ist freundlich. Die servierten Portionen sind reichlich bemessen. Fleischgerichte werden frisch auf einem offenen, einsehbaren Grill zubereitet. Es gibt verschiedene warme und kalte Vorspeisen, zu jedem Hauptgericht wird ein gemischter Salat vorab serviert. Zum Abschluss gibt es einen Ouzo. Soweit so gut. Nun zu den kleinen Schönheitsfehlern: Der Vorspeisensalat besteht neben frischen Salat-Anteilen (z.B. Eisberg, Karotten) leider auch aus Krautsalat und Bohnensalat, die aus dem Glas kommen. Das Salatdressing ist ebenfalls nicht selbst zubereitet. Gleiches gilt für die Pfeffersauce, die dicklich über dem Fleisch verteilt ist. Es handelt sich vermutlich um ein Fertigprodukt, auf das ein paar grüne Pfefferkörner gestreut wurden. Die Pommes frites waren zum Teil sehr kleinstückig und mir persönlich zu kross frittiert. Die Preise für diverse Grillteller bewegen sich zwischen 15,00 und 20,00 Euro, ein kleines Bier (0,3 l) kostet 2,90 Euro, ein Glas griechischen Weins (0,25 l) 4,40 Euro. Fazit: Das Verhältnis zwischen Speisen-Qualität und Preis scheint mir insgesamt nicht ausgewogen zu sein.
