The menu is very concise and doesn't offer a ton of options, but what is available tastes absolutely delicious! The service was attentive and friendly. All in all, we were very satisfied with our visit to Thema Restaurant, thank you for that. 🙏👌

We enjoy coming here regularly. The staff is extremely friendly, and the atmosphere is inviting. The food is simply phenomenal – the meat is perfectly cooked, juicy, and the feta cheese reminds us of our last vacation in Greece. From the appetizer to the dessert, every dish is a true delight. We always look forward to our next visit. Thank you so much!

Three potato slices as a side dish. No one in our entire group was full. The fish and meat were really quite good; I don't understand why they skimped so much on the side dishes. On top of that, the potatoes were swimming in butter. Too bad... we'll go somewhere else. For €40 per person for the evening, I'm afraid I have to be full :-( and 5 more potatoes really don't make the evening any less "high-quality." Differentiate yourself from other Greek restaurants by offering higher quality and still filling you. I'm not even asking for more skewers 🤣

The food was outstanding – fresh, flavorful, and lovingly prepared. You can simply taste the quality and passion that go into the dishes. The service was also top-notch: friendly, attentive, and pleasantly unobtrusive. The atmosphere in the restaurant is stylish yet cozy – you immediately feel welcome.

Today was our first visit to this lovely restaurant. The staff was fantastic, very friendly and not too pushy; they knew when to ask. We had a fish dish and a poultry dish, both arrived at the same time, and everything was perfect to the second. The quality of the ingredients and the way it was presented was simply a delight. Yes, what can I say. A great shop with very, very tasty food. If you're looking for a standard Greek here, you've come to the wrong place. But if you're expecting special Greek cuisine here, you won't be disappointed. My absolute favorite: grilled lamb skewers with baked potatoes and grilled vegetables (Souvlaki Arni). As a starter, baby calamari (Kalamaraki). Add a bottle of wine and the evening couldn't be more beautiful. Thank you and please continue.

Anyone who enjoys good food is definitely in the right place. Our highlight today was our first visit to Thema. After having viewed this restaurant from the outside a few times, we went inside today and were greeted wonderfully. This isn't the Athens, Rhodes, or ouzo platter, but rather very appealing "authentic" Greek cuisine. Furthermore, the service staff is excellent. We will definitely come here more often and enjoy...

The food was okay. A bit too salty - friendly service - but unfortunately unsuitable for business meetings. Credit cards aren't accepted, and issuing a bill takes weeks with numerous follow-up questions - especially not appropriate considering the high standards they set for themselves. Therefore, unfortunately, we won't be going back...

The starters and main courses were good. I ordered the fish trilogy, but the shrimp didn't taste as good as I expected. Also, it wasn't possible to pay by credit card, which was a shame. I would have expected credit card payments to be possible in a place like this.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 stars) The two of us went to the "Thema" restaurant in Mülheim on a Wednesday evening. The location is truly beautiful – both the outdoor terrace and the interior are designed with great attention to detail. The service was excellent. We were served by a very friendly lady who is also the chef's wife – you can tell that the work here is done with passion. The chef himself was in the kitchen that evening. For dinner: • Kalamaraki (baby calamari): 6 pieces for €9.80 – very tasty and a fair price. • Garides Saganaki: Approx. 5 shrimp in tomato sauce for €12.80 – good flavor, perhaps could have been left in the pan a little longer, but still okay. • Prawns AOP (head-on, shell-on, in olive oil and garlic): very well seasoned, but only 3 for €19.50 – we found the value for money a bit too high. Drinks averaged €2.50–€4, which is perfectly fine. All in all, a very pleasant evening with good food and great service. We would have liked to give it 4.5 stars – but because of the friendliness of the staff, we're giving it 5 stars. We wish the restaurant continued success and will be back soon! .

Good Greek food, octopus was really good. Cocktails were ok, but whiskey sour needs to be improved… foam from egg-yolk or its substitution was missing and it had crashed ice. Would be also good to have some wardrobe for street wear especially in winter time

Ambience: hip and stylish! Service: very attentive, good advice, and top-notch! No "plate taxis," but rather very humorous people who warm the guest's heart with a quick quip. The food: Greek food that you won't find in "German Greek restaurants." There are even Cypriot specialties. Price and performance: I find it very good. Great quality! Recommendation: 110%, if I could. A full five stars in all categories!

I was there for the first time today. We received a very, very friendly welcome. Water for the flower was provided without asking. Service was fast and very attentive. The menu selection was wonderful! Portions were generous, the food was very fresh, of excellent quality, and the taste was outstanding! We found the value for money to be absolutely reasonable! We will definitely be back!

Very tasty and fresh. The service is first-class, and you don't even need a pen and paper to take the order (for six people) and then place it correctly. The open kitchen allows you to watch the chefs at work without any smells wafting into the dining room. Highly recommended.

A surprising restaurant with a nice selection of delicious dishes. The dishes are high-quality and very flavorful. Prices are reasonable, and the service is excellent. Portions are generous; you'll be pleasantly full. The photos elsewhere on Google don't do the dishes justice. The dishes and wines taste of Greece. The restaurant has a new, fresh look. Not sure where to eat in Mulheim? Come in and be surprised!

Great quality dishes!! We've tried many different ones and can't find anything negative! Immediate service and the staff as well as the owner, polite and smiling! No matter how much they cost, what matters is that you know what you are eating and drinking!! I will say see you again when we visit Essen again!

We really liked the ambience and the open kitchen concept. The food was okay, but it wouldn't be an argument for us to come back, especially given the price range. We had to have the steak fried again. The fries were absolutely bland for us. The service was catastrophic for us - our waitress was ignorant about the food and drinks, especially wine, and also very inattentive. Basic things when dealing with guests in the restaurant were missing, for example fresh glasses when a new drink is ordered, the baguette should not be cut with your bare hand when outside the kitchen - we didn't like that at all. It's a shame, as I said, it's a nice shop but you definitely have to learn more when it comes to service.

First of all - this is not a “normal” Greek! Very modern concept. Expensive - no - quality has its price and the kitchen definitely brings it to the plate. The outside area is great - you really feel comfortable. It can get loud inside, especially when it's full - and it often is. Seafood - mega!! Super good selected wines for every taste and budget. The service is great, although very relaxed at times - but that fits with the overall concept. The number 1 in Mülheim. Let's see if the new restaurant in MH can keep up.

We've stayed away from these for years due to multiple experiences with mountains of meat and chips at other Greek restaurants. Based on a recommendation, we dared to try it again and got to know Greek cuisine again at Thema. We really enjoyed a large selection of fresh dishes with lots of fish and fresh vegetables. The service was top and the portion sizes were perfect as a combination of starter and main course - neither too much nor too little.

If you have a larger group, we recommend that you simply order several starters and then share them with each other so that you can try everything. The main courses are all highly recommended. I almost never give a 1 star rating, but unfortunately I was extremely disappointed. I came here on the recommendation of friends, knowing that the portions probably shouldn't be as big as they usually are at Greek restaurants. But I wanted to see for myself, since apparently it was supposed to be delicious. The souvlaki that I got with two half potatoes and a few strips of vegetables was even less than any other starter that I know from Greeks. The meat was ok but that was about it. Unfortunately, the waiter wasn't really attentive either. Very unfortunate.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the menu. I've never seen a Greek restaurant that doesn't serve gyros. Unfortunately there is no grill plate and they could have made me a grill plate if I asked. However, I found €30 for a grill plate to be way too expensive!!!

If you want traditional Greek food, you've come to the right place, and I would like to mention the extremely nice service again. We would definitely like to come back

A special Greek restaurant. If you're looking for overloaded plates of grilled meat masses in Metaxa sauce, you've come to the wrong place. Well-cooked meat skewers that are easy to remove, plus delicious vegetables, starters, appetizers... There's something for everyone. Sitting outside was wonderful. But I can imagine that it's not comfortable inside when it's busy. But we will definitely come back!!!

So the ambience is right, it's cozy there. The staff is also very nice, even if the drinks came very slowly at times, but I have to say this is the first Greek place where I went home hungry, despite the starter. The food is delicious, no question, but far too little for the price. The main course is a starter somewhere else. And I read down-to-earth prices somewhere... well, if the plate was full that would be true, but like that... As I said, it's nice and tasty there, but you won't get full there.

My wife and I have visited the restaurant 5-6 times now. We weren't disappointed once. We really like Greek food, so we'll allow ourselves to comment on the quality of Thema: I think it's outstanding. All the dishes we tried did not correspond to the usual Greek standard, so the slightly higher price is more than justified. In addition, guests can expect attentive, friendly and very fast service. And the ambience fits the standard of an upscale restaurant. Highly recommended!

As a group of 4, we ordered various mezes: tzatziki, shrimps, babaganoush, meat balls and our favorite zucchini and eggplant fries. You can choose from a wide variety of cold and hot appetizers, main courses, and desserts. All the dishes were delicious and filling. Service was good too.

Eat something before a musical. The lamb dish was simply great, nice and friendly service, we would go there again at any time.

This restaurant was recommended to me by the Holiday Inn staff. When I first arrived I was greeted like family. Georgios greeted me at the door shook my hand and took me to a nice table. He had an English menu for me and sat down and took the time to explain the dishes and had some small talk. I instantly enjoyed the company and atmosphere. All the staff were very helpful and awesome. Seyma was an excellent server. She took care of me a few times. Dishes I had during my stay in Mulheim were Souvlaki Arno and Choirino (Lamb and Pork skewers), Lamb Crown, Kalamaraki, and Bifteki. I stayed a few days but this was the restaurant that I enjoyed the most. Highly recommend them.

Very nice atmosphere. Atypically Greek but fits today. Service is attentive and polite. But the prices are set very high. Meze are good but relatively small portions for the price. You have to order tzatziki separately here, there is no “small hit” with the starters. Baby calamari were the highlight! Buttery soft! Small farmer's salad was very small for the price. Seafood rice was more like a risotto. It wasn't on the map. The dishes probably had a little too much salt because we had a lot of salt later on. But it wasn't too salty. Olive oil was of good quality. We were a good table. For just under €80 there was still no Ouzo/Raki on the house. A pity. Price-performance doesn't quite add up here. Maybe more down-to-earth Greek hospitality and less chichi?

I brought my customer to this restaurant for dinner, we were 8 people. At the end of the dinner, they said their pos device does not accept Visa or Mastercard. They wanted us to pay cash. Unbelievable!

Waren mit sechs Personen dort, Tisch vorher telefonisch reserviert. Wurden freundlich empfangen. Die Speisekarte ist sehr vielseitig, jede Menge kalte und warme Vorspeisen, Hauptgerichte und Desserts. Vier von uns bestellen verschiedene Meze (Vorspeisen), die beiden Anderen Hauptgerichte. Alle Gerichte waren sehr lecker, wie man es von griechischen Essen gewohnt ist. Bei den Meze gab es Brot, hätte ruhig mehr sein können. Fazit : Schöner gelungener Abend mit Freunden und gutem Essen.

Ich/wir war(en) jetzt 4x Gast im „Thema“. Wechselnde Tage, mal draußen, mal drinnen. Bei allen Besuchen ein absolut vorbildlicher Service, freundliche Bedienung und (auch wenn’s mal ein bisschen laut war) eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Zaziki mit Brot - ein Traum! Souflaki (beide Varianten) herrlich gewürzt, genau richtig gegrillt und mit einer Sauce, von der man „mehr“ möchte. Preise nicht billig, sondern völlig angemessen. So machen Restaurantbesuche Freude. Weiter so!
