The Woods in Ketsch

Wir waren gestern in einer größeren Gruppe (14 Personen) dort. Ich hatte Lachsfilet mit Rosmarienkartoffeln und Grillgemüse. Auf das Essen mussten wir 2 Stunden warten. Der Lachs war hervorragend, die Kartoffeln waren jedoch ohne Rosmarien und vollständig kalt, das gleiche bei meiner Kollegin. Als wir dem Kellner dies mitteilten, sagte er „ja sorry, kann passieren“ und bot an uns neue Kartoffeln zu servieren, angesichts der Wartezeit lehnten wir dies jedoch ab. Das Grillgemüse war fast vollständig roh. Als Nachtisch bestellte ich Cheesecake, auch auf diesen musste ich 45 Minuten warten, er war mit Himbeersoße überzeugen und sehr bitter. Das Personal schien zwar sein Bestes zu geben, doch zwei Kellner waren anscheinend zu wenig. Ich komme nicht noch einmal.

Grundsätzlich ne tolle Location, sehr gemütlich, dass "Wood" Feeling ist schon da. Wir waren aus der Schweiz zum Brunch mit einer anderen Familie, Kinder in 4+6 Jahre. Das Essen/Getränke sind super, die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Jedoch, das Ambiente bzw die Stühle waren ziemlich klebrig, alles wirkt zwar gemütlich aber schon etwas heruntergekommen. Bezüglich dem Service, wir haben mind 1h auf unser Brunchessen gewartet bei etwa 50% Belegung der Plätze.

Einfach zu empfehlen 👍 Ob Frühstück oder Abendessen alles super lecker. Das Team ist ein Traum einfach spitze Freu mich schon aufs nächste Mal

Wieder in The Woods gewesen. Es war ein perfekter Abend! Tolle Atmosphäre, nettes Personal. Hier stimmen objektiv Preis und Leistung. Weltbeste Pizza (Caprese Buratta) dort gegessen, hatte eigentlich ein anderes Gericht in meiner Überlegung favorisiert. Die Pizza war echt genial, perfekt abgestimmt und mit Liebe zubereitet. Der Rand war cross und doch gleichzeitig weich, einfach exzellent! Das Tiramisu war nicht typisch italienisch, aber ausgesprochen lecker! Auch unsere Freunde waren von dem Essen, Service und dem Ambiente sehr begeistert. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Macht bitte weiter so!!!

Auch der mitgebrachte Prosecco für ein Geburtstag wurde mit 40 € berechnet. Obwohl vorher gefragt wurde ob es ok sei, keine Information darüber dass es berechnet wurde. Ambiente eher mittelmäßig Viel zu laut. Bedankt wurde sich trotz gutem Trinkgeld relativ gleichgültig. Wir werden nicht wieder kommen und können es auch nicht weiterempfehlen

Das Woods ist einfach eine Herzensempfehlung ❤️ Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen! Sowohl innen als auch außen sitzt man sehr gemütlich. Das Essen ist hervorragend und das Team unglaublich herzlich. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne vorbei und können es nur weiterempfehlen!

Wir sind zufällig mal in der Nähe gewesen und dann dort Essen gegangen und fahren seitdem regelmäßig dorthin, auch wenn wir knapp 40 Minuten Anreise haben. Das ist es aber jedes Mal wert. Der Service und das Personal sind einfach unschlagbar und das Essen sowieso. Es ist einfach immer perfekt und wir kommen so gerne.

Wir waren heute spontan im The Woods – und sind absolut begeistert! ☀️ Um 12:30 Uhr angerufen und tatsächlich noch ganz unkompliziert einen Tisch für 9 Personen um 13:00 Uhr bekommen – das allein war schon super. Vor Ort wurden wir direkt sehr herzlich empfangen und den gesamten Aufenthalt über außergewöhnlich freundlich bewirtet. Ein ganz besonderes Lob geht an unsere Bedienung Helena – sie hat wirklich einen großartigen Job gemacht! 👏 Wir waren zwei Familien mit Kindern im Alter von 1 bis 14 Jahren und haben uns alle rundum wohlgefühlt. Draußen gibt es einen Spielplatz, sodass die Kinder jederzeit rein und raus konnten – absolut entspannt für alle Eltern. Das Essen war ausgesprochen lecker, alle sind satt und glücklich geworden, und auch preislich war alles mehr als fair. 👍 Obwohl wir völlig die Zeit vergessen haben (weil es einfach so angenehm war!), wurden wir erst um 14:32 Uhr freundlich darauf hingewiesen, dass sonntags eigentlich schon um 14:30 Uhr geschlossen wird. Trotzdem durften wir noch ganz in Ruhe sitzen bleiben und sogar noch einen Nachtisch genießen – das ist wirklich nicht selbstverständlich! Vielen Dank für diesen rundum gelungenen Besuch – wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können einen Besuch hier nur wärmstens empfehlen! 💚

Tolles Restaurant etwas versteckt im Wald. Das Ambiente ist modern und "classy". Essen war top. Espresso Martini und Café Freddo überragend ✌🏼

Von außen etwas unscheinbar, aber innen sehr schick. Service äußerst zuvorkommend. Zum Essen: Das Rumpsteak ist butterzart und köstlich. Richtig genial. Die Pasta mit Garnelen eine 10/10. Absolute Empfehlung. Hatte ich in dieser Qualität zu letzt auf Sizilien. Der Wahnsinn. Der Burger war auch gut. Beim Dressing vom Salat und an den Pommes kann man sich noch verbessern. Pommes erwecken die Illusion von Knusprigkeit und können mehr Würze vertragen. Der Salat war frisch, aber das Dressing war dezent und schlicht langweilig. Nichtsdestotrotz ist dieses Restaurant fortan in meiner Top 5.

Sehr nettes junges Team, diesmal war das Essen bei meiner Frau nicht ganz so optimal, "sie war schon öfter hier", bei mir war es ein traditionelles Gericht wo ich den Fehler der Auswahl begannen habe, jedoch ist diese Schuld nicht dem Restaurant anzulasten. Das Ambiente wirkt frisch, jung und ansprechend etwas für alle Generationen. Die Location ist im Sommer sicherlich super, auch gut mit dem Fahrrad zu erreichen und mit einer großen Außenterrasse. Wir werden im Sommer wiederkommen, um es erneut zu testen.

There was a great vegetarian burger with crunchy sweet potatoes, the staff were very friendly and fast.

Friendly welcome, but the evening was disappointing after that. There was a long wait for drinks, and it wasn't very busy at first. The rosé spritzer and Lillet were very good. We would have enjoyed more, but the four staff members seemed overwhelmed. The food was okay. The ambiance was very good, but the tables behind the bar were so cramped that the servers could barely get through. The first impression promised more than it delivered. A shame. Then there was apparently an incident with other guests, which the server at the bar discussed very loudly. It could have been handled more quietly without everyone overhearing. It seems only regular customers are seen off here. We might try it again and give the team a second chance.

We had a wonderful evening at The Woods. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the menu is varied, and the food is always fresh and delicious. The service was also friendly and pleasant. We'll definitely be back.

My family and I visited The Woods for the first time today, and we were very impressed with both the food and the service. The restaurant is beautifully and comfortably furnished. However, I would like to mention that two tables away, in a side room, there was a group of women who unfortunately showed no consideration for the other guests. They were talking very loudly and were quite unfriendly to the staff. My 82-year-old mother was visibly shocked and said she had never experienced anything like it in all her years. It was a real shame, because all the other guests around us were exceptionally pleasant, and the atmosphere was otherwise very nice. We are already looking forward to our next visit. The Ursula V. There were eight of us for dinner. We waited an hour and a half for our food. After it finally arrived, the waiter, Nico, came and argued with us so loudly that everyone turned around and stared at us. We were accused of asking about our food a few times. He even said, "Then it won't come anymore!" 😅 I ordered pasta funghi. It had absolutely nothing to do with mushrooms. The sauce was very thick and completely unseasoned. Everything else was okay, though. So, if you want to be yelled at by the staff, go ahead and eat here! The service was absolutely terrible! I've never experienced anything like it.

When the food finally arrived, the waiter shouted at us loudly in front of the other guests, saying things like, "Then don't come!" and "It's absolute chaos in here!" Several guests then left the back of the restaurant – I felt exposed and humiliated. To make matters worse, when I got up, I discovered a sharp knife on my chair, which I hadn't seen before due to the poor lighting. Luckily, nothing happened, but it could easily have been dangerous. In conclusion: The food is really good, but this waiter's behavior was disrespectful and unprofessional. This is not how a guest should be treated, but I wouldn't even recommend this restaurant for a good meal.

The Woods is always a highlight for us. From the moment you enter, you sense the special atmosphere – cozy, stylish, and simply a place to feel good. The team is incredibly warm and attentive, without being intrusive. You can tell they work with passion. The food is always a delight: creative dishes, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. The fresh ingredients and attention to detail make all the difference. The drinks are also exceptionally good – everything is just right here! Whether as a couple, with friends, or for a special evening: The Woods is always the right choice. We highly recommend it and, in our opinion, it's by far the best restaurant in the area.

Unfortunately, a huge disappointment. Short Facts: - Completely dirty menu cards - Chipped plates - Soggy salad for €16.90. Yes, they explained to us at the table why the salad was soggy – but does that really make it better? - 7 tiny pepperonis for €8.90. There weren't 12. - Completely burnt burger bun – which was immediately replaced and then sold as a fresh new burger. - Octopus was tough and barely chewable. We certainly could have complained again, but complaining again was tiring. So we let it go. - We asked for a small sip of milk because our child had eaten a pepperoni that was too hot. We got it, and we were charged €2.50 🤣 Can you believe it? - The service staff were mostly friendly, but one server was unfriendly and almost rude after a joke!!! and no demands were made. Considering we spent over €230 there, it would have been nice to have been offered an espresso on the house. But that was out of the question – we got a rude response :) Conclusion: Certainly okay for a drink (since the location is quite nice and well-designed). But unfortunately, the price-performance ratio isn't right. We won't be back.

You wouldn't have expected it: Tucked deep into an unattractive new development in Ketsch, next to an unsightly industrial warehouse, lies The Woods. A path that gives the restaurant its name leads from the parking lot to the restaurant, which then captivates with a feel-good ambiance that's often hard to find. Super cozy lighting, a large TV fireplace, very chilled but not incongruous furnishings, the layout of the restaurant space into different levels: everything is so harmonious and convincing that you immediately feel at home. The staff was super friendly, and the selection of dishes, although small, was delicious. We'll definitely have to go back in the summer, because the outdoor area looked very impressive.

This is one of the few times I can truly give a restaurant 5 stars. I don't know why it took us over a year to try this place—but now we've finally done it! I actually thought it would be a much smaller and less chic place, but I was pleasantly surprised by how modern and tidy everything looked. The first impression was definitely great. We received a friendly welcome and were immediately seated at a table—albeit in an area where a birthday party was taking place. We then asked if we could move, and luckily, it wasn't a problem! I was really hungry and ordered the beetroot carpaccio as a starter—it was generously topped with white cheese and walnuts. Absolutely delicious! A real recommendation for anyone who doesn't really like salad but still wants something with vegetables. For my main course, I had the grilled chicken breast fillet with vegetables and potatoes. The portion was truly huge—it could easily have been enough for two! The chicken was super tender, and the vegetables had a pleasant sweetness. The potatoes were a bit oily, but still delicious. All in all, I can highly recommend this place. I also saw the burger – I'll definitely try that on my next visit!

A very tasty place, perfect for a business meeting or conversation. The service is professional. Drinks first, then appetizers, then main courses and desserts. There's time for everything. No rush. If you need faster service because you're in a hurry, you should say so, otherwise you might feel left out. When you come with good company, you feel pampered and time passes peacefully. The only thing that surprised me was the appetizer: mayonnaise with bread. A bowl of mayonnaise and some bread. We had a good laugh at such an exquisite appetizer, though.

The service was friendly, and the wait for food was moderate. We were there with 30 people, so it's understandable that the food is served in batches. Otherwise: There's no separate children's menu, and credit card payments are not accepted.

The pretty little brunette is truly a looker in this establishment. I can recommend everyone to stop by and see her. Food and surroundings aside, I'd go there anytime just for her. PS: I think the lady in question knows who I am ;)

Everything was a bit pricey, though. The location is beautiful, but there are a lot of mosquitoes in the evening because you're close to the water. We returned to the restaurant with friends after a few weeks. So far, we've been impressed not only by the food and the ambiance, but also by the service. It's a shame that Nico, who usually serves us attentively and warmly, wasn't there. His absence was clearly noticeable. The service this time, unfortunately, wasn't what we're used to. The staff seemed disinterested, simple requests were ignored, we received rude replies, and our empty glasses were ignored the entire time. We don't mean to offend anyone, but this visit didn't match the positive experiences we've had here before. hello i had 1 burger and 1 steak because i am a fatty i had around 6 or 7 lemonades they were very nice the service could of been better a waitress called brigitte spat in my friends aleksas food my other friend jonas liked it alot the food did make me need a poop quite fast though i think it was because it was healthythe place was beautiful the light were very scenic they did turn on and off abit overall it was very nice 8.5/10 would not recommed

The food is great! I've had 2 burgers from there and their lovely lemonades, oh my days are they frickin' amazing! I was there with my friends Jonas and Antoni, they had a great time. Antoni had to take a poop, though, which wasn't very pleasant. The wait time could've been a little faster, and the pretty waitress called Brigitte spat in my food, but I kinda liked it! The place was beautiful, but the lights did go off a lot. All in all, a great experience. 8/10, would not recommend.

So...I had the chicken fillet with grilled vegetables. The chicken wasn't cooked properly. I had extreme stomach pain and vomited five or six times. I also had diarrhea the next day. It was really bad.

The rest of the food is also impressive across the board: high-quality, flavorful, and prepared with great attention to detail. The ambiance inside is wonderful – cozy, stylish, and with a truly pleasant atmosphere. The outdoor area is also particularly beautiful: surrounded by greenery, lots of nature, and perfect for families. There's a playground right next to the tables, from which you can keep an eye on the children at all times. Our little ones always have a blast there! A big compliment also to the staff – always friendly, attentive, and welcoming. You feel completely at home and welcome here. We'll definitely be happy to come back!

A picture says more than a thousand words. Super delicious, super fresh. The schnitzel and asparagus were perfect. Great service, and the beer garden is perfect for relaxing after work. I've been here several times now and have never been disappointed. I'd go back anytime and highly recommend it.

On the occasion of Mother's Day, we invited our moms here for brunch. Our fiasco started with the missing reservation on the list. After waiting more than 90 minutes for two breakfasts for two, we received burnt but lukewarm scrambled eggs (yes, that is actually possible, as we learned today), dried slices of cheese and unbaked rolls. The reaction of the service staff to our comment that we found this really uncool was extremely unprofessional. You do your best, there's a lot going on and you can't estimate in advance how many ingredients you'll need for breakfast. Ultimately there wasn't much going on, but they still had a closed society and apparently had problems coordinating the staff properly. There were definitely enough people assigned to the service. Since the breakfast not only came way too late, but was also extremely poor quality, we asked for free hot drinks. We even had to do that three times until it finally reached the cash register. Overall, the staff looked like an anthill that had been hit by a grenade. We perceived The Woods as disorganized, uncoordinated and unprofessional. It's a real shame that our moms had a really bad start to Mother's Day. Professionalism, a smile and an offer of coffee on the house as a consolation would have helped a little...

The restaurant scores with a really nice ambience that invites you to a relaxing summer evening. Unfortunately, a few points significantly marred the experience. As soon as we arrived, it was noticeable that the tables and documents had not been cleaned properly - that didn't give a good first impression. On a positive note, we were informed by phone when we made the reservation that there would be a longer waiting time for the main course - that's why we're not deducting a star for this, even though we ultimately had to wait over 1.5 hours. Unfortunately the food was a big disappointment: The pasta with shrimp was completely overcooked and was swimming in a thick cream sauce with pesto - the taste was hardly edible. The quality was more reminiscent of cafeteria food than a dish that justifies its price. The pizza was soggy and soggy - unfortunately far from an Italian pizza like you would expect for 18 euros. The pork medallions were completely cooked, dry and unfortunately without any taste. Overall, a very disappointing visit - particularly a shame because the atmosphere had so much potential.

Our experience today is briefly summarized: underground! Five of us had breakfast here this Sunday (Mother's Day). After our reservation could no longer be found and we finally sat at the table, it took quite a while until the order was even taken. The coffee and drinks came after about 10 minutes, but we still had to wait over 1.5 hours for the food!!! In the meantime, not even a service person came to check/ask if everything was okay. Only after several requests did breakfast arrive after a total of 1:45. Half of the coffee we ordered was forgotten, justification (it was Mother's Day and there were staff absences), but not all tables were occupied. The food served was more bad than good. Everything seemed completely conceptless, chaotic and disorganized. Too bad. I have no idea what the rest of the food will look like in the evening, we will definitely never try it! And yes, we addressed the criticism personally several times a day. Maybe we should take this to heart a little. After all, you pay a decent amount!

Relatively inconspicuous from the outside, but once you're inside you immediately feel comfortable and welcome. Everything very modern and comfortable. The team is really friendly, attentive and open-minded. The food is excellent no matter whether you choose a burger, octopus, pasta or a nice salad. I'm happy to come and I'm looking forward to the great outdoor area in the summer.

Beautiful restaurant with a modern yet cozy atmosphere. The staff was perfect; I've rarely experienced such attentive service. Top-notch! 👌🏻The food was fresh, visually appetizing, and delicious. However, sometimes the flavor was too intense for me personally, e.g., Gnocchi Gorgonzola or Cookie Dough (extremely high in sugar). I can't usually get enough sweetness. 😅 The beetroot carpaccio was sensational. The pizzas were also very good. What I personally didn't like was the smell from the smoking area. I hadn't noticed it on the website. My mistake, so no star deduction.

Very nice restaurant. Friendly and attentive staff. The price-performance ratio is ok. In summer there is a very nice large terrace in the green. I'd be happy to come back again to enjoy the ambience outside. Great team, keep it up

Reservation was made quickly and easily via Instagram. The food was incredibly good...there were five of us and everyone was more than satisfied. The ambience and service are also great. We will definitely come back and not just once!

I really enjoy going there. Food is great, portions are right, the pizza is super tasty. We celebrated two Christmas parties there, each time a very nice evening. The staff is very friendly and well organized. The atmosphere is wonderful, you feel very comfortable. I hope it stays with us.

The burger served here is 0815! The restaurant tries to distract you from eating! In the peak of summer there is no ice cream dessert here, catastrophic people! Prices like being in the middle of HD! Come on down, you've been in Ketsch in the woods, a snail party, you don't have a minute's peace before you. Service, definitely not upscale if you let them walk around in hot pants. This isn't a gym!

"The Woods" is located a little outside in the countryside, which gives you a little holiday feeling 😉 - great ambience: bushes, trees, lots of green - very nice! The only disadvantage is that the crane flies are very active! Large terrace, partly covered. The interiors have a modern design and also invite you to sit and linger. The food is super tasty and beautifully prepared. The selection of drinks is also very large. The service worked great, the staff attentive and very friendly. Clear recommendation!

The restaurant “the Woods” completely convinced us with its delicious food and the beautiful, well-kept ambience. The outside area in particular is very beautiful, although the inside area is in no way inferior. – be sure to reserve in advance! The place looks great, great. Great design inside and out. All service employees were very courteous and friendly. Only my fries weren't such a hit. But you can easily overlook that when you look at the great overall package. Gladly again.

Great ambience, inside and out. In the middle of nature, with an adjacent playground. Were there for breakfast, great selection & fresh preparation. A mix of modern cuisine, some holiday feeling and an oriental touch. Will definitely see us more often and definitely recommend it to others. Keep it up 👍🏻

This restaurant offers an outstanding overall experience. There are staff here who are extremely friendly and make you feel welcome straight away (thanks also for the mosquito spray; everything is thought of here). The really special outdoor location creates a unique and pleasant atmosphere. The cocktails were excellent in terms of taste and the food was also of good quality. A visit here is absolutely recommended…thank you for the lovely evening

Very tasty food, Very friendly staff take care of you and the ambience is great, inside and out. A huge plus point is that mosquito spray is also given because it's a mosquito session. I've been there more often and will come more often. Only to recommend

More appearance than reality!! Were a group of 10 people. We arrived and the table wasn't set. After 20 minutes we got the menu. Drinks came quickly. Then the service was no longer visible. Starters were served...no oil...salt...cutlery...etc. At some point the main course. Strangely enough, this arrived 10 minutes after we ordered. That's how it tasted...we felt like it was in the microwave and we still had the appetizer plate at the table. It's a shame about the location. You could make something out of it.

Great atmosphere but... we had booked a table for a graduation party. Unfortunately the table wasn't set! 😒… the ambience is great and thank you for offering enough Autan. There are a lot of snacks, the restaurant can't do anything about that, but they are prepared 👍👍👍👍... unfortunately the food wasn't that great. I had it returned and didn't want an alternative. Definitely an important point that needs to be worked on!
