When you're looking forward to a beer at 10:30 p.m. after a 3-4 hour journey and you're only told: "We're closing right now," even though the website says it's open until 11 p.m. and there are still customers in the bar with drinks!

Definitely recommended! If you're in Ahaus, you should experience Unbrexid and maybe even the castle. But Unbrexid is more important! Great beers, British cider, and very good food! The ordering and payment system, along with the allergen information, is exemplary! Thank you!

In Ahaus, everything is done via app, too impersonal, not my thing.

I've been going to Unbrexit for years. It's a lovely, cozy English-style pub. Today I was there with my son and daughter-in-law and had fish and chips. And, of course, drank English beer. It was fantastic again.

Personally, I like it very much. top service.

Control system not working and no staff available!!! We booked another overnight stay at Unbrexit the Friday before last. We come several times a year, but this time it was a complete disaster!!! We checked in around 2 p.m. Unfortunately, our control system only worked partially, meaning changing room modes didn't work at all, and the TV was frozen and wasn't even an option. I then wrote in the chat that it wasn't working. Thatcher forwarded it to Susan, and she forwarded it to Charles about 30 times! No one was responsible for the situation. Sometime after 40 minutes, Susan restarted the system, unfortunately to no avail. After 45 minutes, she tried to send a technician, but he never showed up. After 1.5 hours, she offered to move us to another room from 211 to 214, but unfortunately, no new control system appeared. After that, she tried to contact the building services team via the emergency channel. No one answered, so she wanted to come in person, but she never showed up either. She said I should report to the pub downstairs immediately, unfortunately it was closed, which she should have known. She then wanted to unlock room 215, but the control didn't appear either. After two hours, she said she'd contact emergency services, but no one ever came. After four hours, I went to the pub, which said it was open, and he said he'd also call emergency services. I waited in the pub for about 30 minutes. After four and a half hours, no one from the pub had reported back. He wrote again that my control wasn't working. I also informed him via chat, and he actually found it funny what they offered me as compensation and didn't respond at all. After another hour of waiting in the pub, after a total of five hours and 40 minutes, I got a new room! Almost 8 p.m. and the day was over. Everything was offered: Pub drink voucher Free breakfast voucher Free breakfast for the entire stay €50 food voucher 50% discount on the overnight stay Refund for the entire stay Pack your things, money will be refunded plus 2 free nights That's all just part of what was offered. Unfortunately, the communication was chaotic and unclear – none of it was ultimately implemented. I asked for a statement and compensation. To date, no comment from Unbrexit. Very sad for such a well-known name behind it.

Simply great location, food was absolutely delicious, service 1A++++, very courteous, very relaxed towards children

A British gem near the Dutch border in Germany with an ambient pub feeling and unique corner outside the Rathaus in Ahaus. An iconic red phone booth decorates the roundabout which separates the Unbrexit from the main, remodeled marketplace. Rightfully so, because the local Tobit Software star deserves an eclectic spot like this in a well designed city of the future like Ahaus. There's even a Speakeasy attached for private events. Posh and classy, the menu is completely digital and requires an app. I sat on the patio with my Basset hound, no dogs allowed inside but with great weather we wanted to enjoy the patio. The menu is simple and short, but tasty with great fries, fish and chips, chicken wings, burgers. My kind of spot even has Guinness on tap, kind of hard to find in these parts, and a selection of cocktails to boot. Service was friendly, fast and clean, not intrusive and I enjoyed myself. Ahaus and Unbrexit are a top stop, for locals, business or travelers. So close to Enschede, they should get some Grolsch on the menu. Would make a great Black&Tan. The area also offers a few other spots with Tapas, so a pub crawl here would be recommended. End at the Unbrexit, or start there. Or both.

I had a burger that was rather mediocre...but the fries were quite tasty. The service and atmosphere, however, were really pleasant.

Payment system takes some getting used to

Everything clean and well maintained. Top rooms with coffee machine and water dispenser in the hallway. I'm there for the third time. Breakfast during the week still has room for improvement. There should be more warnings about the elevator!

Impossible to contact the hotel or bar except via ai chatbots. Cannot get a problem sorted. Phone number given by ai chatbots fails to connect. email address given by ai chatbots just keep giving failing email addresses. Get this sorted out please Unbrexit !

Wrong times given. We arrived at 3:15 PM on Sunday (today, March 23rd) and were told they didn't open until 4:00 PM.

The Smartelhotel is excellent, clean room, wonderful bed and fully controllable with the app. Without app, also a panel on the wall in the entrance of the room. But you cannot enter the hotel without an app. The Unbrexitpub was completely without atmosphere on Tuesday evening. Normally I enter a strange bar alone and chat with the bartender and then order a drink. Here the bartender was moderately to completely disinterested, his colleague was busy calling loudly and after serving the food there was no interest at all anymore. The food and Guiness were excellent, ordering and payment only digital, I can imagine that for spontaneous guests like me, this is very cumbersome. Especially with several people during a good conversation. Then pause and pick up the phone and find out how it works....

I'm really disappointed. We've been here a few times recently and have always been happy and satisfied. Unfortunately, the beer selection was recently significantly reduced, and today I noticed that my favorite loaded fries have also been removed from the menu. What a shame. I'll have to look for another restaurant.

Absolute disaster. Everything has to be ordered via cell phone and it just doesn't work. Even the waitress doesn't know what to do next. Paper and pen is really too complicated.

A very nice, clean and modern hotel. Access and operation (lights, television, curtains) are completely digital! Very clean and well equipped with hairdryer, towels and toiletries.

This weekend we were guests at the Unbrexit Hotel in Ahaus...with four friends 🤗We were so pleasantly and positively surprised. A super clean hotel, great ambience and, above all, very friendly staff both in the evening and in the morning at breakfast. The staff is helpful with everything and always friendly. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired…we will definitely be back.♥️

A nice British bar with different types of beer. Unfortunately, the ordering and payment system takes a lot of getting used to and is extremely bad, especially for larger groups. There is no real pub atmosphere.

Best fish & chips outside the island! Paying and ordering via the app isn't for everyone, but it worked great for us and was absolutely intuitive. Everything perfect!

We were here this evening. Food was very tasty. The cocktail Long Island Iced Tea Super. And the guys from the staff are really nice and friendly. There was also a small birthday present for my wife 🙂 great gesture. We'll definitely be back 👫🏼🙂

Good food and vibe! However, the hotel is very confusing. There're many things that you'd have to figure out yourself, and it's not easy.

Last night I was in UnBrexit again for ages. Beautiful pub interior with dark wood and dim lighting, ordering via the Chayns system, so far so familiar. Had a very tasty portion of fish and chips, the batter was really spicy and crispy. I also always like the fries with malt vinegar. It's a shame, however, that there aren't as many typical "pub dishes" on the menu anymore, like Shepard's Pie, Scotch Egg, etc. Unfortunately, it didn't go so well and was therefore replaced by schnitzel and burgers. A positive highlight is the huge selection of freshly tapped and bottled beers. Was a bit disappointed that there is no longer Fullers Honey Dew, but there is the fantastic Thatchers Rose Cider and freshly tapped Carlsberg (very mild and drinkable). Here you can spend a cozy evening with friends.

Smart concept. It takes some puzzling but works perfectly once you get the hang of it. Modern room with Nespresso machine and bottles to tap (sparkling) water in the hallway. Super clean. Comfortable. Safe place for our bikes. No nuisance from the pub below. Where you can eat well. We would use it again if we are in the area!!

Unfortunately, the guests were not prepared to dress in green things😄

We were there on St. Patrick's Day weekend. There was a really cool wheel of fortune in the app and I won green M&Ms. The store was well filled and more and more people came. All in all really great. Nice people, green beer, good mood. Everything you could want from an evening in an Irish pub. Unfortunately, we were left high and dry for the first time. We ordered via the app and waited about 20 minutes. When asked, they said that 30 orders were still open. I think we just got lost in the crowd. We then received our beer and immediately ordered a second one. Afterwards we moved to another bar because the waiting time was just too long for us. Ambience is great and I will definitely come back. But not on St. Patrick's Day anymore ;-) All in all, I can recommend the store. Bottom up!

The food is delicious, and everything can be done on your smartphone, so it's convenient. However, there is no Wi-Fi in the building, so you can't enter the room without mobile Wi-Fi.

It's actually a very nice restaurant, but you lose any desire to come back again because the payment system is purely cashless and app-controlled. This makes the stay impersonal, and unfortunately the staff wasn't the friendliest. The food was okay and was served quite quickly, but only after you had gone through the laborious ordering process. Each additional drink then had to be booked again via the system.

Mega fortschrittlicher Pub mit tollem Personal. Sehr zukunftsweisend. Ich fühlte mich hier sehr wohl. Und in dieser Stadt gibt es noch mehr solcher Stätten. Ein Besuch lohnt sich

The Unbrexit gefällt mir von den Räumlichkeiten sehr gut, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. LIVE Musik war super. Der Burger war leider kalt und das ganze bestellen über App mit Handy ist mir zu murksig und unpersönlich, statt sich mit den Freunden zu unterhalten, hampelt man ewig mit der Bestellerei rum. Ach ja, und Mindestbestellwert 5 €, willst Du 1 Getränk bestellen wird Dir das Restgeld für die nächste Bestellung zwar gut geschrieben, somit ist man gezwungen noch was zu bestellen. Trinkgeld auch per App, wenn man möchte, allerdings bevor die Bestellung da ist.

Muss man unbedingt ausprobieren, wenn man in de Nähe ist! Das ist das 21.Jahrhundert...digital, fortschrittlich, international. Uns hat sowohl das Konzept, als auch die Gastronomie sehr gut gefallen. Lecker, schnell und preislich top. Was will man mehr.

Super schönes Pub. Leckeres Essen nettes Personal. Nur Bedingung der QR ist etwas verwirent. Man sucht verzweifelt die Tisch Nummer erst kurz vor dem abschicken taucht sie automatisch auf. Was wirglich verwirrt da man ja die angeben soll beim bestellen und sie nicht findet. Aber es endert nichts an der Bewertung super toll.

Alles in allem Top allerdings die Öffnungszeiten könnten etwas länger sein für ein Pub. An Kirmes wurden wir leider um 00:00 Uhr gebeten das Lokal zu verlassen. Man hätte ja wenigstens an Kirmes Tagen die Öffnungszeiten anpassen können. Schade

Ein sehr schönes smartel in modernen Stil 👍👍👍. Habe ein Zimmer für eine Nacht gebucht inclusive. Frühstück. ALLE Mitarbeiter super FREUNDLICH, man ist sofort beim du, wenn man fragen hat es wird einen sofort geholfen und erklärt, einfach klasse. Falls ich nochmal in Ahaus übernachten sollte dann hier. Somit vergebe ich auch volle ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Dies ist mein zweiter Besuch im Unbrexit, und wieder musste ich mich neu reinfuxen. Leider nicht unbedingt selbsterklärend.

Interessantes Bezahlkonzept über die Website - muss per QR Code am Tisch geöffnet werden. Bestellung direkt über die Tischnummer. Getränke und Speisen kommen relativ flott. Die Abrechnung inkl. Trinkgeld ist direkt bei der Bestellung möglich, somit kein Bezahlstress, wenn man gehen möchte. Das Ambiente ist typisch für einen Pub. Es bildet ein Magnet zum Ausgehen mitten in Ahaus. Samstag ist wohl Karaokeabend. Da wir in der Nähe saßen, war es etwas zu laut für eine Unterhaltung...

Ein Britisch Pub in Ahaus. Die Auswahl an Bietsorten ist toll. Sowohl an Flaschenbieren als auch an "draught"-Bier. Hier gibt es nicht nur Pils! Die Atmosphäre ist gut. Für einen gemütlich englischen Pub ist das Unbrexit aber ein wenig zu groß. Das Essen ist okay. Es ist halt Pub Food. Kulinarische Meisterleistungen kann und darf man hier nicht erwarten. Jeden Samstag gibt es ein Live-Programm. Die Qualität schwankt, macht meistens trotzdem Spaß. Insgesamt, auch wegen fehlender Alternativen, 4 Sterne P.S. Es gibt ein spezielles Zahlsystem, dass der Eigentümer vertreibt. Es ist sicherlich gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber wenn man sich daran gewöhnt hat, nicht schlecht. Ich glaube, dass sich dieses oder ähnliche Systeme in Zukunft durchsetzen werden.

Wir waren eine Nacht im Hotel. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Zimmer war sehr sehr sauber. Es ist alles da was man braucht. Sehr modern. Das Frühstück war einsame Klasse und das Personal sehr nett. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Essen wurde schnell gebracht, und hat auch super geschmeckt. Bedienung war auch freundlich :)

Wir waren gestern Abend hier im un brexit Pub etwas trinken und Pommes essen diese waren super lecker das Lokal war gut besucht Lautstärke absolut okay getränkepreise werden in Pfund gerechnet alles wird über das Handy gesteuert sehr modern im Hotel oben drüber wird auch alles mit dem Handy gesteuert wirklich alles die Tür Licht Fernseher wird alles über das Handy oder über ein vorhandenes Touchpad. Ansonsten haben wir gut geschlafen die Matratzen müssen eventuell mal überarbeitet werden in manchen Zimmern unsere war recht gut durchgelegen. preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut ich bin zufrieden. Schaut euch mal ein Bild von meinen Bildern genauer an achtet mal drauf was man auch sehen könnte die Anordnung der Bilder ist ein wenig unglücklich vier Stück mit dem Mädchen Mädchen ist auf dem Bild nur nebensache. Wenn man mit dem Fahrstuhl fährt ist es eine Dusche aufpassen es könnte regnen nein Scherz er ist gekachelt hat die Anschlüsse und der Duschkopf ist da aber es ist nur ein Fahrstuhl voll cool.

Leider kann ohne eine regionale APP auf dem Smartphone die Bestellung nicht ausgeführt werden. Auch EC-Karten, Kreditkarten oder das gültige Zahlungsmittel werden nicht akzeptiert. Schade, denn der Schankraum roch zwar etwas eigenartig, sah aber ganz ansprechend aus. Soweit man das im Dunkeln erkennen konnte. Für das offsite in Ahaus gilt das gleiche.

Grade die Abends, wo einige Künstler im Unbrexit auftreten sind super. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr gemütlich. Auch das Konzept mit der App finde ich super unkompliziert, wenn man einmal weiß wie´s geht. Leider dauern die Getränke manchmal echt sehr lange, besonders wenn es voll ist. Deswegen einen Stern Abzug.

Ich war an einem Dienstag mit einem ehemaligen Arbeitskollegen und Hund gegen 18 Uhr im Unbrexit. Es war noch komplett leer. Die Musik war relativ laut für die Uhrzeit, nach meinem Empfinden. Wir saßen aber auch direkt neben Boxen, da mit dem Hund ein Ecktisch komfortabler ist. Mein Kollege war vor einem Jahr schon Mal dort, konnte sich aber nicht mehr so richtig erinnern. Wir beide hatten keine Lust uns jetzt die App runterzuladen für einen einmaligen Besuch. Daher haben wir eine Karte aufgeladen. Es hat etwas gedauert, bis wir verstanden haben, dass wir jetzt mit der Karte an der Theke an einem weiteren Gerät bestellen müssen. Da wir später auch keine Lust hatten nochmal aufzustehen, gab es für uns beide 1 Essen und 1 Getränk. Ich kenne ähnliche Konzepte aus Köln. Hier hat man aber dann ein iPad oder anderes Touchpad auf dem Tisch. So fand ich es für Kunden, die nicht die App nutzen wollen, reichlich unkomfortabel. Am schlimmsten fand ich am Ende, dass der Kartenautomat keine Münzen ausspuckt und wir die 8€ die auf der Karte noch sind jetzt auch nur online über die Karte wieder zurückerstattet bekommen können. Der Cheeseburger war ok, die Pommes sehr gut. Daher 3 Sterne. Mit der App und wenn man vor hat einen längeren Abend dort zu haben, sicher auch ein gutes Konzept. Für ein Abendessen und 1-2 Getränke war mir der Vorgang ohne App zu aufwendig und zu wenig kundenorientiert. Wir sind beide zwischen 25-35 und nicht aus Ahaus oder direkter Umgebung.

Einen Pub zu finden, der außerhalb von England englischer ist, das ist schon etwas merkwürdiges. Das ganze Konzept ist spannend. Hier wird gezeigt, wie mit Hilfe der Digitalisierung ein besserer Service entsteht, ohne dabei aufgesetzt oder gar Kunden unfreundlich zu sein.

Einfach anklicken, bestellen und bezahlen, und umgehend steht die Bestellung auf dem Tisch. Kein lästiges Herwinken, nicht auf die Rechnung warten gefällt mir echt gut! Irgendwann fiel mir auf, dass das vielleicht etwas unpersönlich und unsozial wird, da könnte man noch irgendwas am Konzept verbessern.

Gezellige bar gedeelte. Mooie tv screens met Engelse sport. Bestellen mbv self order and pay. Je krijgt een pasje waar je contact geld op kan zetten en mbv de code kan je via hun app bestellen. Je hoeft niet te wachten tot zij een keer bij je komen. Werkt goed en snel. Zaterdagavond entertainment

Unique concept. Luckily a kind waitress helped us out as we did not have a card for the restaurant Great food. All 5 meals were wonderful & that’s hard to do. AC would have been nice as it was almost 90 degrees

Neat place to have a drink. A must stop if visiting Ahaus. Neat technology interface, good beer, awesome theme, close to city center, and fun!

The pub offers a special concept, carefully designed and professionally managed. Sadly this is exactly why I don’t really like the place: paying by providing personal data, lack of classic pub bar tenders, loads of space... It’s system catering, personality is missing. Prices are in GDP, all in all rather expensive. The pub is a real bonus compared to other bars and restaurants in the area. Thanks for the idea and the message, I love English drinks and the music! But for classic London/Britain lovers, this is not what’s expected.

Heerlijk gegeten in dit bijzondere restaurant. Het restaurant bevindt zich binnen in de pub The Unbrexit, wat wel een beetje zoeken was in het begin. Het zoeken was het waard want het eten was zeer lekker. Nogmaals het proberen waard!

Ich war zu einem Geschäftsessen im Sherlock's im Unbrexit. Das Restaurant bietet gutes, gehobenes Essen und eine schöne Atmosphäre. Das Ambiente ist ungewöhnlich - very british - aber sicherlich gemütlich und gediegen. Die Bedienung war sehr unerfahren; das Restaurant hatte aber auch erst vor kurzer Zeit eröffnet. Das Bezahlsystem per App ist leider sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig - wenn auch in Ahaus schon recht verbreitet - und funktioniert nicht ganz problemlos. Barzahlung war trotz dringlicher Nachfrage unmöglich. Für ein Geschäftsessen werde ich nicht wieder in das Restaurant kommen, privat möchte ich dies nicht ausschließen. Eine spontane Papierrechnung war nicht erhältlich (nur über die Buchhaltung). Ein Wechsel des Rechnungsempfängers war von größeren Komplikationen begleitet. Schade eigentlich. Die mittelprächtige Bewertung resultiert ausschließlich hieraus. Auch übrigens: das Restaurant ist immer recht gut ausgebucht; viele haben sich im Gegensatz zu mir mit dem Bezahlsystem angefreundet.

Man muss aber dazu sagen, dass wie in allen von Tobit Software geführten Etablissements in Ahaus die Getränke bargeldfrei via...
