The employees seem to show no respect and don't seem to understand our order, no matter how many times we explain it. The wait is endless, even though there are hardly any customers. The atmosphere is unfriendly and unprofessional. Absolutely disappointing! It was my first time here and it will also be my last!

The Square in Offenburg is truly wonderful! The combination of Mexican and American cuisine is absolutely perfect – from juicy burgers to spicy tacos, there's everything your heart desires. I particularly liked the relaxed atmosphere: the large terrace invites you to linger, and inside, the live broadcast of sporting events creates a real pub atmosphere. The service was attentive and friendly, the food arrived quickly and was freshly prepared. The central location on the market square is also perfect – you're right in the middle of the action. For fans of good food, cold beer, and exciting sports broadcasts, The Square is definitely a must-visit!

I've been to Square a few times now and I love going there every time. The burgers are really good – fresh and well-filled. My personal favorite, though, are the sweet potato fries; they're always a blast. My favorite time to go with my friends is Tuesdays for the dice game. There, you can roll the dice to determine the price of your cocktail. It's a fun idea and adds a bit of variety and a good atmosphere. The place itself is modern and relaxed, and the staff has always been friendly. Overall, a good package. It's especially nice to sit outside in the evenings in the summer.

Dice night is always very nice, and the prizes are great, the lights on the ceiling are cool:))

Invites you to drink and eat in a quiet location in the heart of Offenburg. Especially when it gets warmer outside, relaxed drinking and eating outside is always good. Always enjoy visiting The Square.

We wanted to sit at a bench at the back of the room. The store was maybe 20% full. The waiter forbade us to sit at this table because the back area was reserved. But we didn't want to sit on the uncomfortable chairs and left. Two hours later when we passed by, all the seats were still free. The waiter was just too lazy to walk to the back. My advice to the owner is to take a look at your employees, because that's not how it works. Not the first time and not again. Sorry

Das Essen war leider unterdurchschnittlich. Der Burger extrem trocken und die Pommes nicht gesalzen. Dazu lässt das Restaurants auf anderen Plattformen schlechte Bewertungen löschen! Also aufpassen!

I was here about 2 years ago and the food was below average. The restaurant is currently having bad reviews deleted by a lawyer. So the overall rating is extremely distorted!

Great place for a pub grab, had a burger and the chicken quesadilla with amazing sweet potato fries. Wonderful service, we got a large drink instead of a small, but without any issues got charged for a small one. Will come back if ever in Offenburg.

I was here about 3 years ago and wrote a 2 star review because the service was unfriendly and we didn't get good service. I also said that the food and ambience were fine. Square is currently having all bad reviews (all worse than 4 stars) deleted; mine was apparently defamatory of the company. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether they want to visit the store if this is how bad customer experiences are handled.

Actually a good place, but the staff was unfriendly and the food wasn't very tasty. Also, there was a cockroach on the windowsill right next to the table.

Got the loaded fries but there definitely needed to be more toppings for it to be loaded. The happy hour drinks were an absolute scam... none of us tasted any alcohol at all. They tasted very yummy, but I might as well have saved a buck and ordered the alkoholfrei. Took us 45 minutes to get ahold of our waiter at the end to pay... seemed like they just were running around sitting new people but not attending the ones already in the place very well. But, the vibes are cool and the decorations are really pretty. We ended up just leaving and going somewhere else for the rest of the evening. Wasn't a terrible experience, but I'd say it was quite underwhelming.

The best service! I'm coming to Freiburg and am here spontaneously to relax. The waitress was super nice and gave me and my daughter a quiet place. Top!

The restaurant was suggested to me as Tex-Mex, apart from a small selection of 7 dishes (aptly titled "A Touch of Mexico") and 2 starters, nothing really Mexican can be found in the food. But a very large selection of burgers. The food was delicious and prepared very quickly. The service staff was really very friendly and tried hard, but was completely busy, which is why there were long waiting times. There is a curtain behind the entrance door to keep out the cold outside. Unfortunately, neither the curtain closes properly nor the door completely. We had to get up several times to close the door because it was pulling too much. Perhaps if the staffing had been better the service staff would have paid attention to this, but unfortunately everything came together that day. Ah and the slush machine for frozen daiquiris is also down.

Lots of choice, delicious salad, burgers, Mexican dishes, steaks and specials, desserts, jumbo, special, classic, non-alcoholic cocktails, and much more, with different offers on the week👌

I ended up in this restaurant today by chance. We liked the rustic decor with, among other things, a long, beautiful bar. It's a bit dark due to the wood used, but it brings out the bar flair. Cable routing for televisions etc. should perhaps be installed out of the customer's view. I found the food very good. Schnitzel with a fluffy breading and the fries are golden yellow, crispy but not firm. Great to the point. Salad was well dressed with a yoghurt or herb dressing. Due to the weekly market, there wasn't much going on at lunchtime, so I didn't have to wait long. I can't comment on what it's like when it's in full operation. The young service person was friendly, committed and answered all of my questions promptly. Gladly again.

Makes a nice impression from the outside and inside. There are very few staff so you can wait forever. We were a group of 5, and each of us had something to complain about with our drink (too bitter, too much bar syrup, ...) and that at very high prices. It's a shame, because the store has potential.

Mit einer Freundin bin ich zwischen Weihnachten und Neujahr im „The Square“ Offenburg abends essen gegangen. Das grosse Lokal hat eine amerikanische Ambiente, zumindest wirkte sie so auf mich. Das „Square“ scheint auf Burgers spezialisiert zu sein. Die servierten Gerichte waren okay aber nichts was einem „vom Hocker haut“. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und angenehm aufmerksam. Die Toiletten sauber und gepflegt. Parkplätze finden sich in dem Parkhaus unter dem Marktplatz.

First of all, the waiter is friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is festive and rather noisy. Sticky menu cards didn't bode well I ordered a burger, telling myself that quality is premium in a restaurant. I was very disappointed: the minced steak was just the perfect representation of junk food cooked to the extreme, a coagulate of tasteless fat, the rest...meh. The beer is good the correct prices the other dishes were surprising in the choice of pairings: no links between the different compositions, undoubtedly a search for exoticism. A good mark for the rather clean toilets

Good enough place with great service. + Cozy atmosphere, with a nice central stage where tables look fancy; + Good location, right in the city center and close to the main train station; + Not crowded for lunch at the weekend, despite being in the Christmas market area; + Good service (our waiter was very friendly and professional, paying attention to the table situation and never intruding on the guests); = The Food is decent, but nothing to brag about (the fries are regular McDonald's style fries rather the homestyle one usually served with burgers in proper restaurants). - prices rather high (for example, the Radler comes in 0.4 for the normal price of a 0.5 beer; the apple juice is also expensive, and the burgers, too; I believe it was 16 euro for a chilly burger without French fries). In the end, you won't regret visiting The Square, but if I stop in Offenburg again, I'll probably want to check other places, as well.

Nous voulions déjeuner au chaud et pas sur le marché de Noël et sommes entrés dans ce restaurant qui a un décor sympa, l'accueil aussi est sympa et le serveur parlait un peu Français ce qui nous a permis de discuter un peu et la cuisine était vraiment bonne mais trop copieuse mais bonne. Nous avons passés un bon moment

According to the waiter (Lucas), free choice of seats. Seated, waited 25 minutes for service. Nobody came. I wanted to get 2 cards. Then I was informed that no one was serving this table today. Afterwards I was rudely asked out of the juice shop. Never again.

I was there on Sunday lunchtime to watch football because I don't have DAZN at home. The atmosphere was cozy, not crowded. The drinks are relatively expensive, but this is due to the location and probably the lease. For me, it's a place where I'll enjoy going to watch football every now and then on Sundays.

Your evening will be ruined in 10 minutes! We ordered a burger and fries, the fries came first and were the wrong ones (sweet potato instead of normal ones). The waitress refused to take the fries back and swap them for the right ones, so we order an extra portion of normal fries, as not everyone does eats sweet potatoes from us. Not a sound of apology. The burger never appears, but at least it isn't on the bill, it was probably simply ignored even though it was the main part of the meal. After that, I didn't see the gentleman again for ages until we wanted to pay, when the comment came that he would only make a loss at this table anyway. A beautifully started evening was ruined after 10 minutes. The cocktails were more water than alcohol, not acceptable for the price. We won't come back here and I can't recommend it!

Unfriendly service, ordered a burger with fries and only got sweet potato fries even though normal ones were ordered. The burger didn't come at all. When spoken to, the service refused and became unfriendly. When we paid we didn't get a tip, so the waitress said "I'll make a loss on that table anyway" and we didn't recommend it

We ordered a classic burger. It took more than 45 minutes and the worst bread and worst meat (thin, tough and flavorless... It seemed dry) I have ever tasted. There were 7 of us and we all agreed on the same thing. I do not recommend at all

It was "summer in the city" and it was very crowded, but I didn't expect to have to wait an hour for my burger. When it came, I was a bit surprised because you can get a larger burger in other bistros/restaurants for €15.60. Burgers without salmon also cost the same. I looked extra.

Food was OK, had "Beef Quesadilla". Unfortunately there was cooked minced meat in it rather than "beef". The salad and salsa were great, the guacamole somehow tasted like thickeners and the texture wasn't really my thing either. The cocktails were great, as was the iced coffee, unfortunately the additional sugar we ordered wasn't brought. Sat outside and all in all it was a very nice evening.

After 5 years I had to adjust my rating when I visited again: Service overwhelmed with the large outdoor seating. I think someone wants to make too much money. Accordingly, we wait more than an hour for food. In the background there is live music that is way too loud and is mixed incredibly badly. The food is below average. The burger was carelessly slapped together, cold and completely overpriced. Maybe half the price would be appropriate for the product. But the service itself was very nice. It seems like the restaurateur is too greedy and it shows in almost every aspect. So feel free to visit other restaurants.

On Tuesdays you can dice the price of cocktails. The cocktails are good. The food is average.

I like to eat at Square. The price-performance ratio is just right and good quality at a good price. The staff is very friendly. Always happy to come back.

The food is good. Rolling dice on Tuesday is a very cool idea.

We had reserved (something I can generally recommend). As it turned out, that was a good decision because the store was really busy from around 7 p.m. (on a Tuesday). That evening there was also “cocktail dice”. You roll the dice and then pay the price of the cocktail with the same number you rolled. Non-alcoholic cocktails are exactly the numbers rolled; For an alcoholic cocktail, an extra euro because of the alcohol. Since I was the driver, I only had the non-alcoholic cocktails and they were all great. My companion had a London Mule and it was really good too. I had the bacon cheeseburger with an extra pattie and the sweet potato fries with homemade dip. Beforehand I had a few BBQ chicken wings. Were good. The burger was really tasty, but the meat could have been a little warmer, but it wasn't as wild as the taste was actually good. As mentioned before, later the place got really crowded. Seems to be very popular with young people too. All in all, I can recommend stopping by there.

There were 12 of us there, so we had to wait quite a long time for our food. The music was a bit loud that evening so conversations had to be uncomfortably loud, but they were possible. The homemade lemonades were very tasty, I can only recommend them and the food was really good too. Would come again :)

Food prices are clearly too high and the drinks are 4.90 for an apple juice spritzer. Price performance no go. The place is cold so we kept our jackets on while we ate. Very loud in the restaurant. The only thing that was really praiseworthy and very friendly and attentive was the service staff.💯

The food itself and the service are very good. Unfortunately, however, ordering via Lieferando for Offenburg is only really worthwhile if you don't mind the 5 EURO DELIVERY FEE. I wanted to order food and as the only person I had to reach the minimum order value of over €20. There is also a 5 EURO DELIVERY FEE! And that for a delivery from the market square to the train station. No thanks. Only on site.

Really nice shop, everyone is super friendly here, the food was delicious, had vegetarian pasta and a small salad, suitable for wheelchair users, everything was clean and nothing was dirty, the service was very attentive and polite, I can really recommend it, thank you.

Went there with friends for a cafe and 2 drinks. The service was good, but card payments only started at €15. Justification for costs being too high. I can even pay for my €0.90 roll at the bakery with a card. A different system or provider is needed. Such statements are simply no longer relevant.

Unfortunately rather disappointing. I had the salmon burger, which was fried for far too long and was therefore extremely dry and partially burnt. My friend had the vegetarian quesedilla, which on the one hand was a really small portion, but on the other hand it tasted rather average. The fries were far too underseasoned. In addition, the prices are really above average and therefore rather too expensive for what you get. The waiting time for the food was also over an hour. So all in all not worth visiting again.

Komme seit 4 Jahren her und war bis jetzt immer zufrieden. Das Personal ist immer sehr freundlich und auch der Chef ist sehr zuvorkommend. Das Essen und die Getränke sind immer wieder sehr gut und enttäuschen nicht. Am Wochenende sollte man jedoch ein wenig Wartezeit einplanen wenn man sich entscheidet hier essen zu gehen,was jedoch total verständlich und normal ist. Würde das The Square jedem weiter empfehlen.
