It's a shame that this actually beautiful location treats its customers like this and that opening times are not communicated correctly. I've stood in front of closed doors so many times, in bright sunshine and a long journey with a small child.

Fairly moderate prices, cool drinks and hot ladies, but...

The setting is very nice, for the rest it's rather average but it's still worth the detour to stop there, it almost feels like you're on vacation

Friendly but the prices have increased a lot and the service let's not talk about it...there are few of them and not very professional or very smiling. Afterwards the location is divine. But the cuisine is nothing special, but when you're hungry it's okay. Afterwards it's cozy....

Went to Essgut today because it said it was open online. When you get there, the door says “open from 5 p.m.” We waited an extra hour and when we came to the door again there was a new notice saying "closed today" This is really very annoying.

Beach equipped at lake level. It feels like we're on vacation. There are deckchairs, water, cocktails and a superbly appointed place. You can eat and drink there. Prices are correct. Gargantuan portions. To do if you are in the Offenburg region.

Self-service restaurant with a beautiful, tasteful South Sea flair on the swimming lake in Offenburg. The portion of salad with strips of turkey breast was large and tasty, and the drinks were very well chilled in the hot weather.

My son surprised me with this cut piece of heaven in middle of a boring...... neighborhood.

MC would be a better choice. And then there are the incompetent employees. Enjoy the ambience with a glass of tap water and stay away from the rest.

So I think it's cheeky! If I order a Fanta, I want the original Fanta or Bluna and not Europerl Fanta (4.50€ a glass) from Edeka G&G where the bottle costs 0.30 euros if you order a water (G&G 0.15€ a bottle) for 5.50€ exactly that Same Europerl that's 2 boxes of what they charge for a bottle. We won't be visiting the restaurant as a family anymore

16 euros for a frozen cheeseburger with no cheese and limp fries. There is no service, it is self-service. Hygiene in the toilets is terrible! Drinks are okay and the ambience is nice, but I would advise against the food due to the prices and quality.

It's a totally exotic place, close to Strasbourg. The setting makes us believe that we are close to the sea... it feels really good....

Very disappointed, no more catering at 8:10 p.m. the kitchens are closed because not enough people! We were told this in an unpleasant tone... However, the toilets were in a bad state... I will never go there again!

A great place for a cool drink in the summer months. Not too crowded, you can find space on deck chairs, in covered pavilions or outdoors. For me personally, the self-service is a little annoying, but otherwise it's good value for money and recommended.

Haven't been there in years, mostly because we had a bad experience once seven or eight years ago. Due to a visit to Lake Gifiz, we took the opportunity to test EssGut again after years. The quality of the food is decent, the portions are at least larger than what I remember. Overall, the price is already high for fast food, but that has always been part of the image at EssGut. The ambience is of course special and certainly the highlight, even if some areas have not been renewed for a long time. But still an eye-catcher. For children there is a small play area in the front area with a house and climbing frame. In the evening, of course, there are more party crowds and shishas, ​​but with children I would rather go during the day.

Very nice place, very well decorated looks like a man is by the sea in a luxury hotel on the beach... but the service is catastrophic!!! I was there yesterday and you have to serve yourself at the counter no one wants to work... That old man who was at the counter was so unfriendly, I ordered 3 espressos and asked for a tablet so I could carry it to my table, he didn't want to give it to me, he told me: "Your table is not far".. .I had to come and go several times carrying sugar, spoons and everything! I think he is a French pensioner. No one else is at the counter. I'll never go there again even though the ambience is exactly my thing!!

Super nice terrace, small area for swimming also with deckchair by the water. Nice little meal card and affordable budget around €10 €15. Small downside The servers don't come to you.

The last time we were here was around three years ago. Today we took another walk around the lake. Finally, we looked at the location and the price list. No comparison at all to before. Unclean and rather dingy to look at. Not inviting at all. We were particularly shocked by the prices. This is usury at the highest level. Absolutely disgraceful and unapologetic. Not even with supposedly higher costs. We're just gone and won't be coming back. A pity.

That's probably the biggest impudence of what there is to eat there - the bratwurst was on the grill for probably 5 hours hard and not edible and everything was too expensive for 2 baggets, 1 Fanta and a beer I paid 31 euros I will never go there again

Never had such a bad meal at such a price and it was self-service too. Burgers way too well cooked, fries too dry and very strangely seasoned. Dishes dirty. Tables, chairs, chair cushions dirty. Broken boards and tripping hazards everywhere. Staff more just present than motivated. Despite the fact that there was very little going on, the dishes were piling up at the dish return counter. In total, two people paid 50 euros for two burgers, a water in a plastic bottle, a 0.33l beer and a 0.4l cola - at Burger King or McDonald's it doesn't taste any worse and it's much cleaner.

Now a run down and overpriced store!! I'm surprised that no one has gotten hurt there with the boards with the screws sticking out of them.... Furniture terribly dirty and there are no words for the toilets that are so filthy and dirty!!! There are probably only 5 stars from the neighboring country who bring their drinks with them and store them under the table! Conclusion: a disgrace of a location

Complete rip off €18 for a skinny burger with some fries. Tomato mozzarella for €16. Bartender has no idea about cocktails... €8 for pre-prepared cups of cheap alcohol. Waiters can't open their mouths. Not recommendable... Take something to eat and drink with you and sit outside. Never again

Am 1. Mai wollten wir das schöne Wetter ausnutzen und haben das Essgut besucht. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht über die sehr unfreundliche Bedienung hinter der Theke und den "neuen" Rosewein (die Marke hat gewechselt), das Glas war zudem noch halbvoll mit Crash-Eis). Es war viel los, aber die Freundlichkeit sollte gegeben sein, sonst ist es der falsche Job). Wenn man auf die Sonnentage im Jahr angewiesen ist, wäre etwas mehr Service angebracht.

The prices are a disgrace! 18€ for a mediocre burger and that too with self-service?! The seating is now totally worn out and worn out! Service is terrible! Why do you have to give an established restaurant such a French name now? Outside there is now “Plage de sable”, which means sandy beach. Inside, the employees walk around with shirts that say Plage 66, and some of the chairs still have food on them. The service is underground. This chaotic queuing at several counters is an imposition. It may well be that you get your drink, the buzzer buzzes, but you can't get to the food counter because people are already waiting there. Something like that is impossible. And I don't understand why you really let every customer ask "can I have ketchup?" instead of just putting the ketchup in front of the counter. You could even avoid waste with a large ketchup or mayo dispenser. But the best thing of all was the reason why you can't pay by card: “we don't have an EC cash machine!”. Therefore: never go there again! The food was ok but expensive. But that’s why there’s the second star. EDIT Summer 2021: The name has changed again. You can now also pay by card. Still, my opinion doesn't change. That was definitely my last visit there. At the entrance you have to register with a French app. Yes, you read that right. Luca doesn't exist. As a reminder: Offenburg is in Germany. There were no pieces of paper for analog customer data collection. The music is annoying. In some corners it is so loud that you can hardly hold a conversation while eating. When we implemented it, it was even worse. A speaker stopped working every minute, which constantly gave you the feeling that your ear was closing. Another drama at the counter: part of my order was ready. They had probably forgotten the wedges. So I was allowed to hold my burger in my hand for five minutes and watch it get cold. But the cola was warm. One star is actually too many for the whole annoyance. I completely ignored the uncomfortable seating options. Ratan furniture without padding on the backrest. Have fun!

Beste Bürger, tolle Location, nettes Personal, im Sommer ein toller Tipp. Keine Reservierung möglich. Ein Besuch ist immer ein Highlight.

Eigentlich schönes Ambiente aber wurde mittlerweile zum Spielplatz. Überall rennende schreiende Kinder. An das badeverbot wird sich nicht gehalten und auch dass Personal interessiert es nicht. Darum sind die meisten Stühle im strandbereich nass. Absolut keine Erholung und Empfehlung mehr.

Essen wie Getränke holt man sich selbst. Aber es ist schön zum sitzen.

Plage de sable à Offenburg avec plan d'eau, ambiance très familiale, tous services (douches, toilettes, accès PMR, bar avec boissons alcoolisées et non alcoolisées), prix de 4 euros par personne, grand stationnement gratuit a proximité (Platanenallee) très pratique avec beaucoup de places, aucun souci en semaine.. il y a des sauveteurs sur place pour assurer la sécurité de la baignade, a recommander pour les familles

Keine sauberen Toiletten und auch kein Klopapier auf dem Damen WC vorhanden gewesen. Zudem ist das Essen total überteuert. Hier wird nur mit dem Ambiente gepunktet!

Il n'y a pas de service à table. Parc contre cuisine très bonnes. Superbe cadre pour passer une bonne soirée.

Bon rapport qualité-prix mais l'accueil était plutôt froid si on ne parle pas allemand.

We came here just for the great location. Spritz and Hugo were ok but the alcohol free cocktail was not only overpriced but basically a mix of 2 juices. I would not recommend it. You cannot jump into the lake from there . I think it’s great in the evening as well.

Espace calme et reposant. A recommander.

Habitué depuis plusieurs années, et toujours satisfait, je suis malheureusement déçu. La qualité des boissons n'est plus ce qu'elle était. Une pression sans mousse, un cocktail Caipirinha préparé en moins de 30 secondes sans sucre brun et un seul mini morceau de citron vert. Dommage. Nous reviendrons quand même pour le cadre idyllique et en espérant que la qualité des consommations reviendra.

Teurer geworden, weniger Auswahl (Essen). Öffnungszeiten bei Google falsch hinterlegt. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stimmt für Selbstbedienung nicht mehr. Getränke schon unverschämt teuer. Das Ambiente ist eigentlich der einzige wirkliche Pluspunkt.

So ein traumhafter Platz. Man kann hier Mal richtig abschalten. Nur zwei Stunden von uns entfernt aber man fühlt sich wie in der Karibik. So schön, dass es so etwas gibt.

Tolle Location. Wie im Urlaub !Getränke mussten wir selbst holen. Preise für die Location sind ok. Gegessen haben wir hier nichts.

Concept plutôt sympa, au bord de l'étang, les pieds dans le sable avec une bière et un hamburger. On passe commande au comptoir, on paye et le buzzer signale quand c'est prêt. Musique lounge. Personnel sympathique et généralement bilingue. Idéal pour les chaudes soirées estivales, même si la fermeture est assez tôt.

Schöne Location aber nicht zum Essen!!! das Preisleistungsverhältniss ist extrem schlecht!! Ein Salat mit einer Scheibe Melone und 10g Schafskäse für 15,90€ ist eine Unverschämtheit!!

Wir sind bisher jeden Sommer ganz gerne hier eingekehrt- tolles Ambiente und Essen ist auch ganz ok. Was mich jedoch sehr geärgert hat ist der unverschämt hohe Preis für einen alkoholfreien Cocktail, der nichts besonderes war und zu 2/3 aus Eis bestanden hat- ich verstehe, dass alles teurer wird und auch die Gastronomie zu kämpfen hat. Aber die Preisgestaltung in diesem Restaurant ist meines Erachtens schon immer eher hoch gewesen. Wir werden uns einen Besuch im essgut jedenfalls nicht mehr gönnen, da das Preisleistungsverhältnis nicht angemessen ist. Es gibt noch andere schöne Locations in Offenburg
