Thursday evening - karaoke evening Entry fee of €5 was surprising, especially because the beer was also very expensive. 0.5 Heineken from a glass for 6 euros surprised me quite a bit and that was self-service. The mood in the store was boiling - there was a lot going on and everyone dared to "sing".

The “old” Shamrock was nicer because it was a little more rustic, like the new spot. This led to more of an Irish pub vibe. Due to the extremely large number of people that can now be accommodated in it, it's one thing to place orders when the store is full... you sometimes wait over 30 minutes for a beer. Still very nice service and delicious food

Great location... often live music... had a great evening! The selection of drinks is large and typical of an Irish pub. As a rule, there are a lot of young people there and partying wildly. If you want to have a cool evening, this is the right place for you. Prices are acceptable and the service is still ok even when it's very busy.

Been going here for a long time and always love the atmosphere.

The Irish pub in Kassel has been a place for good live music and fun karaoke evenings for more than 20 years... in my opinion, the new location takes the location to a new level, as not only is food now offered, but also, that is now more than enough There is space... in the "old" pub you often had to squeeze between and through people to get to the toilet alone... (although it had a certain flair, with age and after a pandemic 😷 the enthusiasm for being close to sweaty people decreases 🤣)

We sat on the (very nice, by the way) terrace, so we cannot judge the real Irish Pub atmosphere. Nice place, tasty and affordable food and drinks.

Watched the UCL game between PSG and Dortmund in this pub. Was quite an interesting one. They have a really nice environment and feel. Fun fact: it used to be a post office

The food was very good, the service seemed a bit annoyed, but I don't want to overstate that because it was a one-off impression and not normal business that evening. I also can't rate the ambience because of the football game. I'll probably have to come back again to get a better picture.

Great atmosphere and an ideal place to end the evening or start your nightlife. There is something for everyone on the food and drink menu. I've never been disappointed with the taste. I'm still enthusiastic and enjoy coming here.

Spent another evening at The Shamrock - Irish Pub. We have been coming here for many, many years and it is always a pleasure. Yesterday there was the Germany game against Denmark and the atmosphere in the beer garden was really nice and peaceful. As always, the service was very nice and accommodating. Freshly tapped, delicious beer, cider and other delicacies are recommended. We will definitely come back and have another great evening. Many thanks to the owner and the whole pub team. Keep it up! Went here to watch a euro match and get some Guinness. Place was fully booked but they found us a seat. Place was crammed but girls collected orders and delivered beer quickly. Brendan in charge remembered us next visit and was a great craic. Even gave us some gifts on our last day. This place is rocking so much it became our local and we needed 2 tram journeys to get there.

Rather unfriendly service and reservations are not one of their strengths either. You don't have to go. PS: I made a reservation by email three days ago... not just now ;) but as I said, making reservations isn't one of your strengths either

The atmosphere was great and best of all, children are welcome during the European Championships, making the visit very family friendly. The service was always friendly and attentive. Highly Recommended!

Well-organized public viewing with multiple screens

This shop impresses with the worst service on Friedrich Ebert Strasse. Ordered food (wasn't that busy)! 75 minutes later I asked what was going on with the food. The answer in front of the lady who pretended to be her boss was as follows: If YOU don't like it, get up and leave. From that point on, no more service was sent to our table. Neither to clear away the glasses nor to ask for requests. We will avoid this store in the future, as there are restaurants a few meters away that still place great emphasis on customer friendliness. Thank you for nothing!!!

I was born in Kassel and have never experienced such an unfriendly team in my entire life. The manager, Katarina or whatever her name is, sits in the entrance totally overwhelmed, unfriendly, refuses service and cancels orders! Our table was the first, we ordered straight away, everyone got their food except us, they say things don't go in order here. This shop is not recommended at all.. incompetent staff and ugly behavior high 10

Nice atmosphere, good drinks, unfortunately card payments only start at €10 and it's usually pretty full.

Overall we were satisfied, but with a very specific reason. Here is Katharina. She was totally overwhelmed and wasn't particularly good at the subject. We'll try it again.

The long journey from Magdeburg was definitely worth it. The Guinness is of course particularly tasty in a pub. The food is great and the service is very attentive. Yesterday we first watched the Euro '24 and then had a fantastic karaoke evening. Many thanks to the presenter with the hat and to the Scottish tour group who tore the place down with "Loch Lomond" and "500 Miles". We will definitely come back the next time we visit our children in Kassel.

Quite good, ceilings that are a little too high create a certain train station feeling... But otherwise it's nice.

Super place. Almost not the only place where you can taste a good selection of dark stouts! But something is completely wrong with the sound, the band plays and it's bad for the ears (. Will do something about it) But it didn't spoil the mood. The kitchen is also normal!

The Irish Pub in Kassel offers an authentic atmosphere, an excellent selection of beers and delicious pub food. The staff is friendly and the live music evenings are a highlight. Perfect for social evenings and true Irish pub experiences.

Very disappointing moment. Were there on time and the table isn't there. Definitely not a recommendation if it's a celebration with a lot of people (15 people). Very unfortunate.

For me, a thoroughly good restaurant. Food good, beer good, service good! I watched ice hockey there and really enjoyed it.

Unfortunately the restaurant was closed, even though it was open according to the internet. And I was so looking forward to a draft Guinness 😫

We were there for karaoke night, that's why we paid an extra €5 for entry. Very good service, good food and the first well-made gin and tonic I have had in 3 years in Germany.

Unfortunately, it takes between 45-60 minutes every time you go there (now three attempts) until a service person asks you what you want to drink.

You just have to experience a special atmosphere and often a really good atmosphere that encourages you to take part 😊

Very large hall, therefore extremely loud. You can only talk to your immediate neighbor or shout. Price range was ok, food looked good, but waiting 45 minutes for fries was a bit long. Without a reservation there would have been no seats available that evening.

They tell you on the phone that you don't need to make a reservation. Then you go there and every table is already reserved and your entry fee has already been charged. Then you stand stupid at the bar and don't know where to go and then unfriendly employees keep coming and saying you're in the way. Then you go out and have nothing from the evening. I'm never going there again

The Huskies Kassel are playing - and you get a fan feeling in the Irish pub - great! The young women in service are great! Prices are of course a bit steep - but there is a good event feeling!!

So far so good. The only disadvantage is the acoustics in the new pub.

First a girl came with the beers, let the people try them on and said they hadn't been ordered for the table, took all the drinks back even though you had already drunk something. Then later she came with new beers, mine was a little warmer than the others, so it was probably left over from the first ones, it didn't taste good either. Then she said, even though everyone at the table had already confirmed that it wasn't cold, that it was as cold as the other beers. Only after everyone confirmed it, she took the beer back and gave a new one. I found it totally disgusting.

Nice pub with karaoke, unfortunately there are rarely free tables. Drink prices comparable to other pubs in the area.

From the Netherlands we spent a weekend in Kassel. We were looking for a place where we could go out with rock or metal music. Unfortunately we couldn't find this. But google pointed us to this pub. We saw on the internet that there would also be live music this evening. We were initially searching at the wrong location (on the other side, old location?). We sat at the bar and had a few drinks. It became busier and busier. It was super fun! The atmosphere and ambiance was great.

Mega ambience and a huge selection of whiskey and gin. Highly recommended and always worth a visit

The store itself is cool but the boss/owner is full of arrogance, incompetence and unfriendliness. Someone like that shouldn't be in the evening entertainment...

The karaoke evenings are awesome!! It's always a great atmosphere! Especially because Katja, the presenter with the hat, leads the evening brilliantly, involves the visitors and encourages them. It's just a lot of fun with her!!!

We always enjoy being here. Delicious drinks and very good food. We don't need to talk about the ambience, despite the large hall you feel comfortable. Visually a highlight for Kassel. It is of course very crowded at events, so reservations, especially for larger groups, make sense. But it's also always worth a visit for a spontaneous nightcap at the bar table or the bar. We will always be happy to come by for a cold Guinness or two.

After the move, this Irish pub has lost some of its coziness. Karaoke on Thursday is still a hit. You won't find anything comparable in Kassel so quickly. On other days the pub is a little more like a cozy beer hall. In my experience, about one in three waitresses are not particularly attentive. In any case, you will rarely find yourself asked in the Kassel Irish Pub whether you would like to order something else. Today I even had difficulty making visual contact at all. Today, on Tuesday, the customers were rather thin on the ground. My recommendation: be a little louder when ordering or go straight to the counter. They're usually on their toes.

You have to wait forever for food. At one point they completely forgot about our food. You have to pay for the drinks as soon as they arrive and you have to pay for the food in advance.

The best Irish pub in Kassel ;) All joking aside... you can spend a nice, cozy evening here. With live music, karaoke or pub quiz. Always my pleasure.

Very nicely decorated and large Irish pub with a good selection of drinks and food. The pub is located in a former post office building. The food was all freshly prepared and we enjoyed it very much. The beer was also very tasty. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

Immer wieder klasse. Haben hier schon zahlreiche Stunden verbracht. Die Servicekräfte sind klasse und ein nettes Lächeln gibt es immer dazu.

Sehr schöne Location, sehr gutes Essen und nette Bedienung. An unserem Tag war auch ein Musiker da, der leider einen sehr hektischen Stil hat, um die Songs nachzuspielen... Das hat uns dann leider vergrault, aber der gute Mann ist ja sicher nicht immer da... ;)

Leider konnte ich nach zwei Besuchen immer noch nicht das gute, alte Pub-Feeling spüren. Es ist zu groß, zu breit, zu ungemütlich und zu weit weg von Gemütlich-, und Geselligkeit. Das war direkt gegenüber anders.....vom Szene Pub, zur Massenabfertigung mit weniger Charakter und Flair... Schade, vllt. kommt man ja wieder Ansatzweise in die Nähe vom dem was man im alten Pub gelebt hat, wenn man sich daran gewöhnt. Positiv: "Modern" und Retro Ruhige Plätzchen Essen

Wir waren im Anschluss der Weihnachtsfeier dort. Das Pub war gut gefüllt, Karaokeabend. Die Bedienungen waren alle sehr nett und aufmerksam. Die Stimmung unter den Gästen war gut und alle hatten Lust zu feiern. Ich persönlich finde, die beiden Damen auf der Bühne haben eher die Stimmung gedrückt als angeheizt. Wenn die Gäste in Stimmung kamen und gemeinsam angestimmt haben, wurde die Stimmung eingefroren. Was überhaupt nicht geht ist das ständige betteln der Moderatoren um Spenden und Trinkgeld....absoluter Stimmungskiller und ein no go.

Ich liebe euer Bulmers. Service stimmt und die Stimmung im Laden war an dem Abend super.

Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Toiletten sind sehr sauber und modern. Getränke sind auch pünktlich am Tisch gewesen. Service hat regelmäßig gefragt. Karten und Bargeld zahlen möglich. Dienstag für ein Länderspiel war nicht so viele Gäste da. Viele freie Plätze.

War beim Karaoke da, war mega. Die Moderatorin ist super lieb und die Stimmung war gut. Location sehr groß und schön dekoriert. Recht modern. Die Toiletten sehr sehr sauber mit Ganzkörperspiegel im Vorraum der Damen WCs. Getränke und Preise in Ordnung, Eintritt hat 3€ für Studenten und 5€ normal gekostet, ist für mich auch in Ordnung. Allerdings dauerte es etwas, bis Jemand kam, um unsere Bestellung aufzunehmen. Nach der Bestellung kamen die Getränke jedoch recht schnell.

Ein recht lustiger Laden. Nicht zu stark besucht, man findet also immer einen Platz. Der Eintrittspreis ist recht angenehm und die Preise für alkoholische Getränke halten sich in Grenzen. Ein Stern Abzug gibt es für die meist ''Schief-Singenden Karaoke Leute'', deren Auftritt nicht immer was für den gesunden Gehörgang ist. Ansonsten gute Ambiente für nen netten Abend mit Freunden.

Tolles Ambiente, nettes Personal!!! Musik zu laut gestellt... Man kann sich nur noch mit anschreien verständigen. Dies ist meistens in den Pausen der Acts extrem.

Super Location mit Live-Musik. Service prima, einzige Makel aufgrund "vollem Haus" ist eine Unterhaltung am Tisch schwierig.

Leider waren wir von unserem ersten Besuch im The Shamrock alles andere als begeistert. Der Service war absolut überfordert, hat Bestellungen vergessen aufzunehmen und zu bringen. Dies war zu Beginn des abends bereits ein Problem, als sich der Laden im Laufe des abends füllte, wurde dies immer gravierender. Auch waren Getränke sowie Speisen (die einzige vorhandene Nachspeise), welche auf der Karte ausgezeichnet waren, nicht verfügbar und es war ein absolut katastrophales Unterfangen zumindest für die Getränke eine Alternative zu bekommen. Wir haben über eine halbe Stunde und nach 3(!!)-maligen nachfragen endlich einmal die angepriesene Whiskey-Karte bekommen, nur um festzustellen, dass die dort ausgezeichneten Whiskeys ebenfalls nicht vorhanden waren. Zum Ambiente lässt sich nur sagen, dass der Laden viel zu groß und zu laut ist, um überhaupt eine vernünftige Unterhaltung zu führen. Eventuell ist er dafür auch nicht ausgelegt, aber, wenn ich meinen Sitznachbarn anschreien muss, damit dieser mich versteht und bei der Person mir gegenüber gar kein Versuch unternommen werden konnte, ist das irgendwie auch nicht Sinn der Sache, oder? Die Burger waren geschmacklich und von der Größe ausgezeichnet, leider ging dies durch all die anderen Probleme komplett unter. Alles in allem sind wir nach etwas mehr als einer Stunde wieder geflohen und werden diesen Besuch auch nicht wiederholen. Sehr schade!

1A mit 5 Sternchen. Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Die Cocktails der Hammer. Bedienungen sind sehr sympathisch, freundlich und schnell. Ich würde es jedem Epfehlen, dort hinzugehen.
