The Loft Restaurant & Bar in Dresden

The restaurant is very stylish and modern. Although the tables are quite close together, the atmosphere remains pleasant. Drink prices are a bit high (a 0.33l Coke costs €4.70). However, the baked gyros with pita was delicious and plentiful. We would gladly return and highly recommend this restaurant!

Fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious.

Yesterday, the three of us went to The Greek Loft. The ambiance was okay, but a bit more Greek flair would have been nice. Glasses were repeatedly dropped behind the bar – the staff found it amusing, we less so. The lemonades were made with frozen fruit and were presented without any care. The tzatziki was very good, the garlic bread with cheese was more a matter of taste. The eggplants were unfortunately still hard. In the "Filet Variation," all three meats (pork, lamb, chicken) were completely overcooked, even though they were supposed to be medium – juicy, but nothing special. Overall, the price-performance ratio isn't right; it feels more like a tourist trap than an authentic Greek restaurant.

Nice atmosphere. But we had to wait 40 minutes for our food, even though there were only 11 of us in total. The meat was full of fat and gristle. The server seemed rather bored.

We arrived without a reservation, were greeted very warmly, it was very cozy, the food was delicious, what more could you want?

Disappointing quality of the appetizer platter: canned dolmadakia, frozen pitas. The feta was tasteless, and some of the roasted vegetables were undercooked. The olives and pepperoni were supermarket quality. The price-performance ratio is completely out of whack (19.90 euros!). The service was very friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Unfortunately, this couldn't compensate for the abysmal quality of the food. Sadly, the worst meze I've ever eaten in Germany.

The salmon was tough at first, then raw; the service was unfriendly and completely overwhelmed. We were ignored at the table, our tzatziki order was simply forgotten, and instead of an apology, we were simply told, "Well, these things happen." No apology, no sense of responsibility. For a restaurant calling itself "The Loft Dresden," this was absolutely embarrassing. Never again.

A very interesting menu, unlike anything I've seen at any other Greek restaurant. Greek tapas, classic Greek dishes, and also very good burgers. Everything was delicious. The ambiance could be improved, as it's very loud and at times feels like a sauna. The staff was rather curt and rarely attended our table, but the place was packed.

We were thoroughly satisfied! The food was truly excellent, not always up to the standard typically offered in Greek restaurants. Very creative, fresh interpretations of dishes, and quite tasty. Unfortunately, the service was rather inattentive. They didn't notice empty drinks, nor did they greet us upon entering the restaurant, even though the waiter walked right past us. This somewhat tarnished our first impression. Unfortunately, the friendliness only resurfaced when we were paying. But overall, it's still worth a visit! Perhaps we were just experiencing a bad day for the two service employees.

A lovely Greek restaurant with a fantastic selection of vegetarian dishes. The starter, with its four different dips, left a bit of a taste improvement for us. The main courses were tasty, but we would have liked a bit more Metaxa sauce on the gratin.

We were staying in the Gewandhaus hotel next door and decided to eat somewhere close to the hotel. This turned out to be an excellent choice, they had a good selection of vegetarian options, the food was tasty and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We'd strongly recommend eating here if you are visiting Dresden.

The food was good, albeit quite expensive. The restaurant was very busy, so we ate outside. Whether placing an order or getting the food/drinks delivered, everything took a very, very long time. The fact that the restrooms are located upstairs makes them practically inaccessible for those with limited mobility.

Only issue was although this restaurant shows to be wheelchair accessible it does not have an accessible restroom. A stylish Greek restaurant with a modern flair in Dresden. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting – ideal for a relaxed evening. I had the Zeus Burger: juicy meat, spicy tzatziki, fresh vegetables, and fluffy bread – delicious and something different from the classic gyro plate. The portion was also generous and filling. The prices are fair and match the quality and the ambiance. In conclusion: If you're looking for Greek cuisine with a modern twist, you should try the Zeus Burger. I'd be happy to come back!

This is a fabulous restaurant! The location is fantastic—right in the city center. The service was exceptionally friendly. We received a warm welcome and were immediately seated. The food was excellent! I highly recommend this restaurant.

I was unfortunately very disappointed. The ambience is nice but not Greek at all. We asked to be seated and were shown to a table that hadn't been wiped down. The feta starter was okay, but the baguette that came with it was definitely not fresh. I ordered a strawberry splash, which didn't taste of strawberries at all and contained cheap frozen forest berries. My partner's unrefrigerated spritzer came without ice (with an outside temperature of 30 degrees). The grill platter was okay, but unfortunately there was no side salad, coleslaw, or anything similar to go with it. The grilled vegetables were very oily. Compared to other Greek restaurants, the portions were very small. In response to our criticism of the strawberry splash at the end, we were told that all drinks are served with frozen berries. But that should have been on the menu. I would definitely not eat here again. We were very disappointed.

We've hardly ever experienced that at a Greek restaurant before. -> The service was very friendly and accommodating. -> The food tasted very good. We ordered two homemade (non-alcoholic) drinks, both of which were delicious in their own way. Highly recommended! -> We didn't have to wait for the main course – it even arrived a minute early, but we didn't think that was a problem.

The price-performance ratio was a bit high. The restrooms were clean, but there was no toilet paper or paper towels in the ladies' room.

We waited 1 and a half hours for the appetizer. After our complaint, they only apologized and then very soon brought the main course. The meat was lukewarm [gyros] and of average taste. We can also prepare this dish at home - fresher and less salty. Given the rating they have on the site, we expected a lot - we got below average service. They are poorly organized and argue and solve complications with orders in front of customers. I do not recommend visiting unless you like waiting a long time for a drink and overpaying for food with really large portions!

Not a very good experience. For two people we waited 1.5h for appetiser, even more for the main dishes (gyros), which were clearly not freshly made as they were barely warm and really nothing special, under seasoned greasy meat with bread and rice. After waiting for so long we had to ask them where our food was and then they realised they made a mistake and finally brought out the dishes. They were quite polite but clearly really confused because we saw them mix up many orders, supposedly as the server explained due to the kitchen messing things up. Shame, because the overall ambient is nice.

It took a very long time for the menus and food to arrive. After 40 minutes, the wrong thing was served, which meant it took another 10 minutes longer.

We went here because the reviews were good. However, both the food and the service were mediocre. We didn't feel like the staff had any control over the situation. The food was okay, but there was a lot of garlic. I had to make an appointment with the dental hygienist.

The third-best Greek restaurant in Dresden? No, never! The first Greek restaurant where there was no welcome drink. The staff were very friendly but overwhelmed, there was a long wait to order and no time to ask if, for example, anything else was needed. The food was not good value for money. A pan-fried lamb fillet costs €25.90. And it was only a pan, and the meat was unfortunately not tender. A side dish of grilled pita bread, and that was it. The obligatory salad...wasn't there. The cheese-topped gyro...dry and also just pita bread. The souvlaki skewers were quite small. The fries were good. All in all, disappointing. I'll never go there again.

We visited the Greek Loft during a business trip to Dresden and received truly warm service. The food was also very good, and the portions were just right.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed because our food wasn't served for over an hour and was already cold by then. It would have certainly been delicious, but we couldn't really enjoy it. The free round of Uso drinks was a nice gesture, and we still enjoyed it.

The food was consistently excellent – from the appetizer to the dessert, everything was perfectly flavorful and lovingly prepared. We were also impressed by the cocktails. We would particularly like to highlight the service. Despite the packed house, the staff was attentive, friendly, and very professional. As a guest, you feel completely comfortable and welcome – exactly how it should be. A thoroughly successful experience – we will definitely be back!

The food is good, the bifteki is tasty, the gyros are a bit dry. Service is slow... you have to wait a long time for everything, even when it's not busy. The staff generally seems irritated, and you feel unwelcome. Furthermore, the selection of drinks and cocktails is very limited. You'd expect more from a "bar."

We were there yesterday for a birthday party. Unfortunately, it fell a bit short of our expectations. My meal (baked gyro) was delicious, but the other dishes, like the chicken champion, had too much salt. Furthermore, it was really difficult to place an order. Perhaps it was due to a lack of staff, but the speed of service could be improved. The ambiance has improved a bit. Sitting outside in the summer is really pleasant and quiet.

What a great Greek restaurant! We were vacationing in Dresden for a few days and discovered "The Loft" thanks to the positive reviews. What can I say? We weren't disappointed. The food was great, both the appetizer and the main courses. The Metaxa sauce is particularly noteworthy! Creamy, flavored with vegetables, and not too greasy – very tasty! The ambiance outside was lovely, and the service was unassuming, yet friendly and attentive. If I ever come back to Dresden, I know where I'll definitely eat again.
