The Flave of Munich in Freising

I don't know why this is labeled a pizza restaurant as there is no pizza on the menu. There are two main dishes options, a cheeseburger and veal schnitzel. Then there's vegan pasta or chickpeas curry. That is it. A great option when you have no other options.

Ein gutes Hotel am Flughafen München. Der Preis für die Zimmer ist noch angemessen. Es sind aehr schöne Räume .Das Frühstück erscheint uns überteuert. Der Service ist ausgesprochen freundlich und angenehm. Die Restaurantküche schließt um 22 h, man bekommt aber noch Kleinigkeiten zu essen. Pizza, die man selbst zubereitet gibt es immer. Zum Flughafen kommt man mit dem MVV-Bus 635 sehr schnell (2 Stationen).

Tuvimos el buffet de cortesía debido a un vuelo retrasado y fue terrible. Toda la carne y el pollo estaba terminado y nunca se rellenó incluso después de que lo mencionamos. Papas fritas frías y pasta para la cena y sin bebidas porque el personal estaba ocupado jugando con sus teléfonos. ¡Vete a otro sitio si puedes!

A very nice restaurant although the prices might be a bit too much for the average guest in novotel. I had the pink vegan pasta (roughly 15 eur) and it was really good. The portion was also very generous.

Decent restaurant inside the Novotel hotel. I had a caesar salad with chicken and it was quite good. There was lots of ice berg salad inside to fill up the plate but they used fresh ingredients and the chicken was fried well. Lots of the reviews mention long waiting times and I cannot second that. It didn’t take long for the food to come but took some time until I was able to order.

Tuve una especie de cena tarde un viernes en un viaje de negocios. Mi camarero era agradable y promedio - atento (pero bastante ocupado) , la sopa de calabaza era excelente, y mi 1/2 orden de schnitzel de salchicha estaba caliente y bien (no es el mejor que he tenido, pero satisfactorio) . Las patatas fritas estaban geniales.

Great staff, local prices… pleasant stay before departure

Das Angebot vom Essen ist sehr übersichtlich, die Preise schon recht hoch, aber die Qualität vom Essen ist schon recht gut. Die Bedienungen sind freundlich und schnell und das Ambiente auch gut. Aber dass die Preise für jedes Gericht in den letzten zwei Jahren um mehr als 50% (!) gestiegen sind, kann man gut an den Bildern bei Google Maps vergleichen, können wir nicht nachvollziehen. Aber mangels Alternativen in der Gegend bleiben nicht viele Alternativen zum Abendessen.

The food selection is very clear, the prices are quite high, but the quality of the food is quite good. The service is friendly and quick and the ambience is good too. But we cannot understand that the prices for each dish have risen by more than 50% (!) in the last two years, which can be easily compared from the pictures on Google Maps. But due to a lack of options in the area, there aren't many alternatives for dinner.

Although they have about four main dishes on the menu, it took them almost one hour to bring a lousy Wiener Schnitzel

Why don't you write down the price? What does it mean to pay as you eat? Soup only 4.5 euros One main dish costs 19.50 euros. All in all, 39.50 euros. Is it a buffet? Isn't it true? Did they just think it was a 40 euro buffet and let us eat as much as we wanted? I had to feel anxious because everything wasn't clear. It's not even a buffet, and there's no water, so you have to order it separately. My son ate one plate and ordered a small glass of water, and he told me to pay 23 euros.

Only buffet was served, but at €39 per person! Better drive out and get something else, it doesn't match the price at all.

(Estoy dando a este restaurante una crítica de 2 estrellas porque el donut vas ok y el personal era agradable) Hace unos días yo, mi hermana, mamá y papá estaban pidiendo una tarta de queso 2 x, donut Oreo, y dos capuchinos. Todo excepto el pastel de queso estaba aquí, luego esperamos 50 minutos y luego papá fue y habló con alguien a cargo y dijeron que lo tenían en su lista donde dice que prepare el pastel de queso. Y después de que el miembro del personal vino a disculparse por el incidente y ofreció una tarta de queso gratis, pero no queríamos porque algunas personas dijeron que se ve muy mal, así que subimos a nuestro hotel y en lugar de la tarta de queso mi hermana se comió una piruleta.

Buon ristorante di Monaco all'interno del Novotel City (Albergo). Prezzi nella media locale, le porzioni per i bimbi sono ottime (quanità).

Great selection in the menu, ultra-fast service. Priced as expected at the airport. The portions are quite large.

First of all, Sandra made my day. Very attentive service, friendly and personable. To eat Just a small card, which is ok, but the quality, if you want to use that word in that context, is not there. Burger, for EUR 28!, loveless and without taste. It's better for management to invest in a good chef instead of gimmicks like a service robot. He can't do anything about the bad food. Luckily Sandra brought me a freshly tapped Tegernsee beer, 05L for 6.10. Conclusion Great service, nice atmosphere, but I won't be coming back for food.

Quality of the food is absolutely okay for a restaurant in an airport hotel, prices are correspondingly high given the almost isolated location, Helles 0.5 is too expensive at €6.90. Suitable for short stays

Fica dentro do Hotel Novotel, localização ótima, ambiente bom, pratos grandes e saborosos, atendimento e preços bons. Ambiente jovem e descontraído.

New year dinner was terrible and very expensive, poor food quality and bad prepared, buffet with no table service. Sushi was uneatable, meat with no taste, pre-cooked pasta, cold stuff were not fresh, dessert was recycling the breakfast pancakes.

After a sleepless night due to stomach pain and nausea, I also decided to leave a review. I would like to see for myself, but unfortunately I have to agree with the previous reviews. The food is very overpriced for what you get. The burger (probably the reason for my nightly problems) with fries for €28 is definitely not worth it. The service was friendly, but there is a lot of room for improvement in terms of the food on offer, the price/performance ratio and the quality.

I decided to update my review after a dreadful night with stomach ache and nausea, caused by the burger meat. Both of us decided to get some sandwiches today, rather than stepping into that restaurant ever again. PS: the burger incl. fries cost 28.50 EUR If your flight is cancelled and you are stranded at the hotel this is an ok place to eat. The staff, all of them, were super friendly despite being understaffed (my observation). The ambiance is nice, with a robot carrying out the food and pleasant decoration, though again, it seemed a bit dull due to the lack of people (when we went). Our burgers were made well except the meat… it had a stale taste and I had to force myself to eat it. The sweet potato fries were okish, yet overfried. The table next to us had veggie pasta and that looked very fresh! Overall I am thankful for having been taken care of.

Expensive low quality food and terrible service. One hour to get a pasta without sauce to my hungry daughter? Non existent quality of service, no smiles, I never got the beer I ordered. This place only exists because there are no alternatives. Shame on Novotel.

If you stay at Novotel (a perfectly acceptable airport hotel) this is the only dining option without a 40 minute ride somewhere else. Google says it's a pizza restaurant. It has zero pizzas on the menu. In fact, they barely have any food. Your choices are a burger, linguini, schnitzel, and Caesar salad. That's it. There may not be much to choose from but at least it's all Finland-level expensive. The beer is good. Solid marks there. Wait staff was friendly and decently attentive. No one on this entire continent apparently knows what Caesar dressing is supposed to taste like. Salad gets a "meh" from me. At least I'm not starving anymore. Come on guys. Do better.

I was happy to see some vegan options on the menu so I choose the vegan burger with sweet potato fries. Unfortunately it was so difficult to eat because the burger bun felt apart to many pieces and there was so much guacamole in it that it was very messy. The peppers in the burger were just an odd addition and didn't go well. Also, the sweet potato fries were all tiny, as if it was all the fries from the bottom of the fryer (about 2cm in length and crispy). It was a very average burger, definitely not worth €25.50! What was worse was the service. The waitress who served me was so rude from start to finish, rolling her eyes when I asked for her help, avoiding me when I needed help, absolutely totally impersonal, and when I asked to pay she answered me back saying she would come to me when she was ready (she was wiping tables beside me and proceeded to collect some glasses and wipe tables until she was ready to come over to me which was strange because there were many already clean tables, no customers waiting, and the tables she was cleaning were right beside me.) Overall, would not recommend this place, and judging by previous reviews, you're better off eating somewhere else before you arrive. Expensive, unfriendly staff and average food. Shame to have a sub-par restaurant in such a nice hotel.

Habe aus Bequemlichkeit (und weil es geregnet hat) hier im Novotel das "Flave of Munich" getestet ..... Der Service ist einwandfrei und freundlich. Auswahl an Speisen ist soweit okay, aber die Preise (erwartungsgemäß) nicht mehr akzeptabel .... Ein Weizen liegt nun bei 6,20 Euro (selbst im Flughafen bei der guten Air Bräu kriegt man 0,5 Liter für 3,20)! Hatte Ravioli (14,50 für relativ kleine Portion), geschmacklich in Ordnung .

Ich hatte eine Tomatensuppe und eine Bowl und habe 22€ bezahlt. Die Suppe hat einen nicht umgehauen, war aber geschmacklich in Ordnung. Die Bowl auf der anderen Seite war jedoch alles andere als gut. Der Couscous ein einziger Klumpen und zudem völlig geschmacklos. Zudem waren geschnittene Gurken, Tomaten, Oliven, Mangold und maximal 10 Granatapfel Kerne drauf. Die Zusammenstellung ist nach meinem Geschmack sehr merkwürdig und passte überhaupt nicht zusammen. Als Krönung des Ganzen gab es dann eine Joghurt Sauce als Topping, welche ebenfalls nicht zu der Gesamtkonstellation gepasst hat. Meiner Meinung nach war das mehr eine Zusammenstellung verschiedener Zutaten als eine überlegte Bowl. Zudem bekam ich leider über nach starke Magenkrämpfe, welche nach dem „Genuss“ der Bowl anfingen. Sehr schade insgesamt, denn ich bin ein Riesen Bowl Fan, kann diese hier im Flave aber auf keinen Fall empfehlen.

I too can't figure out the bad reviews. It was busy but the service was excellent and the buffet had great stuff. If you asked me before I went if I'd like to eat at an airport hotel buffet I would have laughed but I will definitely come back.

Definitely deserves more than 2.8 stars. The food was good (not amazing) the service was fantastic and it had a nice atmosphere to.

Definitely better than the ratings suggest! Small menu, and not great value, but very tasty, and service was fast (including a strange robot too)

Just had my dinner here a couple of hours ago. Service was fast food was good.

Having spent almost 3 weeks in Germany and eating out daily, we’ve had consistently excellent service and friendly restaurant staff. On this final night of our trip, this hotel restaurant did not measure up. The food was expensive and just passable and waitress was surly. Very disappointing, especially a Caesar salad that was barely dressed and watery.

Not entirely sure why this place has so many bad reviews. Prices are standard for this this type of hotel, good selection of food and drinks and friendly staff. Only downside are the opening hours. Food only till 10pm and last call for drinks at 11pm us early for an airport hotel. Other than that a good experience

Leider etwas enttäuscht ... Die süsskartoffelpommes waren sehr gut 👍 Der Burger sah super aus, doch das war’s dann auch. Eine reine matsche pampe auf dem Teller. Kein wirklicher pulledpork Burger.

Great atmosphere and cozy decorated restaurant, but most of all an outstanding service which really make us wonder about some of the undeserved previous ratings... "The Flave of Munich" restaurant is nothing but marvelous, located inside the Novotel hotel close to Munich airport. We enjoyed a lovely buffet on new year's eve 2020 and really glad we chosed to come here! Fairly priced buffet as well with a great variety. Absolutely recommended!

Schmeckt gut, ist halt etwas teurer. 32€ für Angus Beef Burger mit Käse und Zwiebel irgendwas Marmelade und ein helles. Gibt's woanders in der Stadt natürlich günstiger.

The other reviews scared us so much we walked a mile to find another restaurant, to no avail. So we went back and were pleasantly surprised. We shared the 6 ounce angus burger which came with pretty good fries and a dab of coleslaw. This way we could enjoy the creme brûlée which came in a soup bowl. Yum. See picture. Sorry but we were gulping it down so you can’t see how it was full to the brim and had a scoop of ice cream and a strawberry on top. Service was good, too.

Wir sind erst um 21:00 Uhr ins Restaurant gekommen. Es war noch sehr viel los. Die Bedienung war schnell und höflich. Das Essen dauerte nicht lange (ca.15-20 Minuten)und schmeckte gut. Leider war es wirklich sehr teuer. 24,00€ für einen Burger mit Pommes! Alles in allem sind war aber zufrieden gewesen

Das Flave im Novotel ist abends ein kompletter Reinfall, Küchenschluss 22:00 Uhr! Das Frühstück ist gut. Es wurde alles angeboten, was zu einem guten Frühstück gehört. Unqualifiziertes Personal, man hatte das Gefühl, als ob die Unterbesetzung mit Azubis ausgeglichen wurde oder aber nicht vom Fach war.
