We felt very comfortable. The staff were very friendly. The atmosphere was incredibly cozy. The food was excellent. We'll definitely be back! I highly recommend it.

Great place for dinner with friends. All the dishes we tried were of good quality and the portions were big enough for even the biggest appetites. Reasonably priced, very friendly staff. The restaurant could do with a little renovation to replace the older and worn out furniture. But maybe for some people it's just what they want and they feel good there.

It depends on what you want. It's cozy, the menu used to be nicer, the great bread that was always there doesn't taste so great anymore. Here it's as if they forgot the salt and the bread wasn't from the same day. I used to go there at least once a week, then suddenly the plates, and with it the portions, were smaller and the chef changed and the servers demanded that you speak English. Even though I can speak German, I speak German in Germany. I also order in the local language in England or Spain. After many years, I was back in Moers and at Fidlers. The menu is no longer nice, e.g. stupid burgers on it and other things that aren't my cup of tea. So, it's still cozy and the food is edible, but not as tasty, more expensive and no longer my taste. That only applies to me in this case. It might be fine for other people.

Everything was delicious, everything was very tasty. We had a vegan burger and were very happy that there was something on the menu for us. The meat also looked good and was said to have tasted good. Since we had an Irish guest, he was of course able to tell us whether the beer was good – it was! So try a Guinness here, German beer is available everywhere! We will definitely be back! Very, very nice, you can sit inside or outside; there's plenty of space! Be careful: if you order fries and don't like mayo, make a note, otherwise you'll get a small bowl of mayo and a dollop of ketchup. (The staff doesn't ask about the sauces.) But otherwise, very good!

This place has been part of Moers's culinary scene for ages, and has undergone a varied development over time. It's also a great place to meet larger groups, though the noise level can sometimes be a bit high, but that's just part of the atmosphere here.

The best restaurant in Moers. Very friendly and attentive staff. Excellent food and a very good and extensive selection of drinks. Highly recommended and a MUST-visit when visiting Moers city center.

We all sat outside because it was a beautiful evening. The service team was very young, cheerful, quick, and attentive. It was a lovely experience. The dining room looked very cozy. The restrooms were clean.

A truly beautiful place, nice and quiet. The waiters are helpful even if you don't speak German, they speak English fluently and smile! I highly recommend it! I think it will be my new favorite place and I will gladly return whenever I have the chance!

Really hot inside now that the weather is nice, but the decoration is cool. If you got to visit just one restaurant in Moers , go there! Get the stuffed chicken 🍗😀

The food was really good, with a personal touch. Highly recommended for a pub. Unfortunately, the quality of the service let it down considerably. Friendliness was out of the question, but unfortunately, there was no system in place, and the staff wandered around aimlessly. We waited over 50 minutes to order our food. If it had been busy, the wait would have been acceptable, but unfortunately, it wasn't. Drink orders only arrived halfway. We won't be going back anytime soon.

Nice Irish pub. Good cuisine, delicious beer and cider. The decor is quaint, but the unfortunately often unavoidable football broadcasts ruin the feeling.

We've been there several times now and have always been very satisfied. Yesterday we were a bit disappointed with the service. There were only two of us, had made a reservation, and were assigned a very small table. We asked for a slightly larger table, in case there was still a table available and it wouldn't be a problem. We were given a slightly larger table, with the explanation that larger tables aren't supposed to be offered for two people on weekends. That would have been fine for us. But after us, other people arrived, also just two people, without reservations, and we were all given larger tables as a matter of course. We were also the only ones who didn't receive a "welcome" bread, even though everyone else around us received it immediately. The waitress was quite uncaring in her treatment of us guests that evening, and we felt a bit like second-rate guests. The food and drinks were, as always, very good, and we will definitely come back again. But then we won't make a reservation and will just wait to be surprised as to which table we get.

For fish 'n chips €16.50 I think it's OK if the portion is appropriate. But that was just a snack. Too bad

Lovely place to enjoy a Guinness and some fingerfood.

The service is very slow, we had to wait an hour for our food, and all the drinks were already empty. End up without eating Gone, the waiter doesn't apologize once.

Staff always pleasant and helpful, good Guinness but the quality of the food has unfortunately gone downhill, have they changed the kitchen staff? Whatever, a pub offering food must keep the high standard and not just get by with mediocre grub, please remedy. Irish lamb stew on the menu but what comes are a few boiled vegetables with a bit of meat thrown in , definitely not Irish lamb stew .

Very nice Irish pub, delicious food and friendly staff. It's just a shame: 1. Never had typical Irish bar music play when I was there 2. They don't know anything about cocktails there. Personally it doesn't bother me, but my girlfriend isn't a beer person and even simple cocktails are terrible or confused with others entirely.

What can you say, the Winchester is the place to get together, watch football, karaoke and party when there's something going on in Moers. You can sit outside great. The staff is great and above all attentive and quick...it's rare...so full praise. I like to go there often and happily Google asks what has changed... Nope.. I'm still there regularly..

Unfortunately there is a huge drawback with the toilets and the shots are inferior. The internet says it's open until 2 and they say goodbye at midnight even though the place was still pretty full.

The freshly tapped beers such as Guinness and Kilkenny are particularly recommended. The food is really, really good – far beyond what you would expect from a bar! There are even vegetarian and vegan dishes on the menu, which makes the offering even more varied. In summer, the cozy outdoor terrace directly on the pedestrian promenade invites you to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and the hustle and bustle at Kastellplatz. The pub is a cultural meeting point where you can even take English courses. It is ideal for a relaxed evening with friends and is highly recommended!

So almost everything is right with Fiddlers. There is authentic Irish beer, the ambience could hardly have been more Irish, especially when you look at the bar or the ceiling lights, it is absolutely perfect. You can also eat well here. The nachos are good and dishes like the Irish Shepherds Pie are an absolute insider tip! I can recommend it to anyone who wants to feel like they are in Ireland.

Amazing place, made even better by the staff. Jessica in particular. She went out of her way to ensure we were looked after. Her sunny and welcoming character made our day. We would definitely come back again.

It was a great shop, the service was nice and the food was really tasty. I had a steak sandwich, this was also great, you should just cut the steak into strips then it's easier to eat. That's complaining at a high level, so of course there's no star deduction or anything like that! Everything was there really well and quickly.

A really nice place to go out in the evening in Moers. Fiddlers is also a good place for a meal or a cool drink during the day. Food and drink are great! The service is friendly and helpful, I always like to come here when I'm in Moers.

The Guinness is too warm. The food...Fritoese...I see fat mothers stuffing their daughters with mountains of fries every day... A crime scene for the youth welfare office...

We visited the restaurant as a group of 10+ people. Each one of us ordered a different dish and a drink, to try things out. We waited for over 45 minutes for our food to arrive, drinks came after 5–10 minutes from the order time. Although the food was delicious and the portions generous, the waiting time was quite a bummer since we were really hungry. Anyway, a great (loud) place to enjoy a late dinner.

Update to the bottom part of the review. After the last unsatisfactory visit we went to Fiddlers again. Luckily it was as good as before. Food was great again and the rest anyway. It was nice again. We have often eaten at Fiddlers and have always been very satisfied. This was the first time we were there at lunchtime. Unfortunately, the food wasn't very exciting this time. My fries were great, but the fish somehow gave me the impression that it was warmed up from the day before. My wife was also very disappointed with the salad plate. She had eaten this several times before. As always, the service was very friendly and we still love Fiddlers.

While almost all other restaurants were open normally, the owners were overzealous and only allowed vaccinated people into the store without legal requirements. Those who didn't want us as guests back then and excluded us will no longer see me as a guest today. ✌️

This is the first time here because my wife raved about it and what can I say... I'm not disappointed in any way. The stew (lam) was so delicious that the homemade bread served with it was simply mega. Portion size is appropriate for ~ 16 euros, even though I could have easily eaten ANOTHER portion 😆 Really just delicious in a great atmosphere and there's nothing to say about Guinness. End of the culinary song... I'll be back... something 👍🏻

Very good burger, adequate portion, I couldn't have managed more - very tasty fish & chips. 1 point deducted because the guests constantly went out to smoke and you sat in the draft and got the smell. They could just as easily go to the front of the road and it wouldn't be a problem.

There is no real Irish pub food there. The pint of Guinness is €1.30 cheaper at Dexter Island Homberg and is traditionally tapped with nitrogen. Nice rooms but a bit loveless. You can do it.

Great Irish pub, with delicious food, first class service, delicious beer and in a very authentic atmosphere. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back. There are plenty of parking spaces in front of the door. After a successful meal, you can take a nice walk through the castle park.
