Good food in a central location. Saturday buffet recommended.

The townhouse's surroundings aren't exactly the most beautiful, but the inside is very nicely designed. There are enough places available and the conditions are friendly and attentive. I think the selection of food was very good. From sushi, soups and a colorful mix of “starters” to a good selection of different main courses and a huge selection of ingredients for the grill, right up to a dessert buffet. Everything is included and therefore value for money is ok for me. The only negative point is that the dessert buffet could use a little more love.

We came to the buffet at lunchtime (weekend) and almost 50% of the dishes were served cold on the buffet. We immediately mentioned this to the service, they said it was "normal" that the food would be cold within 5 minutes. An absolute “NoGo” for us! Many of the plates were greasy and/or dirty with food leftovers from the previous guest which were not cleaned, also a “no go”! With the bill I ask whether I should actually pay for the entire buffet now that we have hardly eaten anything? Statement from service, yes. Absolutely no understanding or accommodating. Never again!

I was invited there and had a very nice - and delicious - evening. I can't understand all the negative reviews. I ate really well and the service was friendly & perfect.

The staff is friendly, but unfortunately the food was far too dry. Nothing really tasted good, except for dessert – the ice cream was okay, but ice cream almost always tastes good. Overall I wouldn't recommend it, it was an unnecessary expenditure of money.

Last Friday I was at the East with a friend for the all you can eat buffet because we were on a short trip to Mannheim. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was very tasty. I particularly liked the sushi. There was a good selection of dishes. If we come to Mannheim again, we would love to come back for dinner.

We ate as a group. I didn't opt ​​for the buffet and ordered something from the menu. The food came quickly. As I took a few spoonfuls I saw a long black hair in the food. Maybe other times there will be water, who knows. Or maybe happiness runs without water and we don't notice it! Lucky Chinese turtles and lucky fish... Marché used to be here and I really want Marché. My father and I were here several times back then. That was his place. Paradeplatz and Marché. Then Marché was closed. Now. Since I've been living in Mannheim again since the summer of 2021, I've seen myself walking past here. Today I thought, okay, I'll sit here and remember what was, how it was, how it felt and how it feels to be here now. Thank you for the good service and friendliness.

I ordered mapo tofu from here, which was actually inedible. It tasted absolutely bad. The duck was slightly better but I have never had drier meat. Cannot recommend this place for anyone interested in delicious food, way too many corners cut.

For an all you can eat restaurant the food was very tasty. Everything at the buffet was nicely served and plentiful. Sushi was included. Freshly prepared food on the grill is recommended. Service very attentive. The restaurant was pleasantly cooled down. Would come again.

I really like The East. It is very affordable for the selection and quality of the food. There is the typical "Chinese" buffet food, but also steamed gyozas, Korean kimchi and a selection of sushi. The Mongolian grill, where you can put together your own selection of fish, meat and vegetables, also offers a wide selection. Including large shrimps and rare species of fish. I was there several times for lunch and dinner when I lived in the neighboring town. The lunch buffet is cheaper than in the evening, but there is also a smaller selection, especially of sushi (then there are maki and California rolls and the like). In the evening it costs around €20, but for that you get a wide selection of different nigiri. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is elegant. In general, the atmosphere is more elegant and romantic in the evening than at lunchtime, but that's not really a problem. Reservations are generally not necessary as there is a lot of seating, unless you come with a large group of people. There is also a grand piano in the entrance area that I have played several times.

Not many food choices too expensive

It is a good Buffet place. They have a lot of variety in sea food, although they could also increase the variety of food other than sea food. Dessert and drinks are good. Good to visit if you have a good appetite.

This was by far the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were greeted with a disapproving look by the rude waitress. Instead of giving us a warm welcome, it seemed like we were a burden. We were constantly watched throughout our stay, which was incredibly uncomfortable. We felt like we were under constant surveillance, like we weren't trusted. What was particularly annoying was that we were literally followed at the buffet. You could hardly choose your meal in peace without an employee looking at your fingers. The meal itself was a disappointment. For the high prices we expected at least acceptable quality, but instead the food was mediocre at best. Many dishes were bland, some even cold and not very appetizing. The price-performance ratio is absolutely not given here. In summary: A visit to this restaurant is a waste of time and money. The rude service, the constant observation and the bad food make this restaurant absolutely not recommended. I will definitely never come back and advise everyone to give this restaurant a wide berth.

I had dinner at this restaurant with a friend. We ordered a drink and a buffet. We had to wait a long time at the beginning of our visit, and the employee was downright horrified when I wanted to pay straight away because we were in a hurry. Clean, spacious, cozy, friendly service staff and a nice view from the 1st floor of the Paradeplatz if you sit outside in summer. Good selection at the buffet. I even eat sushi here! There are restaurants with even more choice but here the quality is good, which is important to me. I really enjoy coming here.

You can just come in here without a reservation. Lunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and dinner buffet from 5:30 p.m. to 10/11 p.m. Lots of choice, including everything that goes into the buffet. Buffet = all you can eat. We were really happy here, everything tasted good, including the homemade drinks. I/we are now regular customers here. Employees always greet you in a friendly manner and you have a seat of your choice. Simply to recommend.

Visited thrice already Dinner Buffet/Abendsbuffet. Difficult for Pure vegetarian, easy choice for eggetarians, huge advantage for non-vegetarians and sea food lovers. Customized live grill is possible.

We were here before and back then it was totally ok. Whatever has happened since then, today's meal (April 17, 2024, buffet) was really bad. (First of all: the staff was OK) The fried food tasted of nothing except salt with consistency, spring rolls were tasteless and limp, the fried seafood was over salted, sweet and sour just wasn't sweet and sour. I couldn't eat it, but I'm not picky. The sushi was edible (but still didn't taste better than Rewe supermarket sushi), although the tempura wasn't really cooked through. Means: Salmonella danger. The prawn chips at the end were the highlight of it all. 😅 We paid 20€, left a bunch of leftover food (and for me that's the real reason why I'm writing here. I hate leaving leftover food)... If you want Chinese, you'd better go to "Kung Fu" on Fressgasse. There it's half the price and 100x tastier.

I'm surprised that the toilets were still free to use as a guest, when you start taking money for them and sit a person in front of them with a bowl?! We were there for dinner and chose the buffet. The food was very tasty and nice and warm. It was always refilled quickly. I would have liked a little more variety when it came to dessert and especially ice cream flavors. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Но мне приносила счет женщина, которая когда я была в первый раз, насчитала мне на 10€ больше (я была не одна), тогда я подумала «ну ничего, бывает, ошиблась..» Но когда точно такая же ситуация произошла через несколько месяцев во второй раз с той же сотрудницей, это уже не показалось ошибкой, а намеренным обманом! Я очень разочаровалась и больше сюда не прийду. Следите за своими сотрудниками, они у вас отобьют много гостей (((

Sehr leckeres Essen, Auswahl Abends Größer in Bezug auf die Zutaten für den Grill. Durchschnittliches Ambiente aber Freundliche Bedienung. Alles in Allem Top und zu Empfehlen.

Ich gehe hier schon seit über 10 Jahren essen. Ich muss leider sagen die Qualität und der Geschmack/ Auswahl haben sich ins negative gewandelt. Die Ente ist die letzten 4 Besuche immer sehr trocken gewesen. Und die bereits fertigen Gerichte auch nicht immer gut gekocht, z.b. Leber zu lange gekocht = trocken. Das Sushi ist Standard, ist natürlich nicht vom Fachpersonal zubereitet.. Wenn man sich beim Grill die richtige soße auswählt kann man wenigstens hier was leckeres braten lassen (ich empfehle Knoblauch). Es gibt 2 Suppen, die mit Kokosmilch ist sehr lecker. Also alles in einem OK aber ich wünsche mir man gibt sich wieder mehr Mühe.

Ab 21:00h fühlen sie den buffet nicht mehr obwohl sie um 22:00h schließen.(wir haben um 21:20h nach Pommes gefragt sie haben uns ignoriert), Sushi schmeckt gar nicht, kann alles sein außer Sushi und zum Schluss 6,50€ für 750ml Wasser finde ich so viel für so ein Restaurant. Also nie wieder gehen und nicht zu empfehlen

Wer gerne Fisch isst, kommt am "all you can eat Buffet" auf seine Kosten. Es wird nicht gegeizt mit Lachs, feinen Muscheln und frischem Gemüse, das man sich an der Grillstation frisch zubereiten lassen kann. Dazu jede Menge fertig gekochter Gerichte, reiche Auswahl an Fleisch, Gemüse, Frittiertem, auch Sushi, Suppen, Nachtisch und Eis. Guter, netter Service. Kann man auf jeden Fall machen.

Ein großes Restaurant im Zentrum der City. Es gab ein Buffet mit guter Auswahl und Grill. Das Essen war gut und das Buffet wird schnell aufgefüllt. Leider war das Servicepersonal an diesem Tag sehr schlecht gelaunt und zeitweise etwas mürrisch.

Freundliche Bedienung. Das Buffet ist quantitativ ok. Bei den Mengen darf man natürlich keine Gourmetqualität erwarten, Geschmack in Ordnung. Wir empfanden es als etwas laut. Wer Ruhe zum Essen erwartet, sollte nicht zu den Stosszeiten kommen. Preislich gerade noch akzeptabel. Wer viel Essen möchte, der ist hier richtig.

Wir sind immer wieder gerne Essen hier. Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Das Buffet ist überragend und sehr lecker.

Stark nachgelassen, man wartet ewig, bis jemand kommt zur Getränkeaufnahme. Der Wein ist mit Wasser gestreckt, die alkoholfreien Cocktails auch. Ein Freund bestellte ein Mojito: 3/4 voll mit Eis, kaum Getränk. Das Essen unglaublich fettig. Bedienung unfreundlich. Wir saßen relativ lange, und es kam dann auch niemand mehr, um zu fragen, ob wir noch was trinken möchten. Auf winken reagierte niemand. Wir saßen also auf dem Trockenen. Für das viele Geld, das Buffet unzureichend

Buffet Preis-Leistung ist okay, Auswahl gut und reichlich, leider nur 4 Sterne da alles vom Buffet nur lau bzw kalt war, Schade da es geschmacklich gut war.

Die Preise im Internet stimmen überhaupt nicht! Im Internet steht z. B., dass man für Kinder von 6 bis 12 Jahre, 6,99€ zahlt, aber sie wollten jetzt 10 Euro 95 und für Erwachsene 15,95. Ds unser Enkel sehr wenig isst, bestellten wir ine Portion Sushi a la carte und als mein Mann ihm ein kleines Sushi von seinem Buffet Teller gab, wurde er von der Bedienung zurecht gewiesen : " Das Dürfen Sie nicht"! Ich finde, sie müssen die Preise im. Interesse der Kunden aktualisieren, ich fühle mich betrogen. Auch das Theater egen einen Bissen, den wir dem. Kleinen gaben, finde ich frech.

Ich hatte dem asiatischen Mitarbeiter gebeten, mir bitte Salz zu bringen, da auf den Tischen keine Waren. Er stimmte zu, jedoch brachte mir nach langem Warten keinen. Danach bat ich der asiatischen Mitarbeiterin dasselbe, die mich bei den letzten Malen mehrmals mit aufdringlichem "Was wollen Sie trinken?!" oder "Bezahlen Sie nun?!" nervte, bei diesen Themen sind sie sehr schnell... Nach mehrmaligem hin und herlaufen wegen anderer Sachen, schaffte sie es irgendwann, mir Salz zu bringen. Mir war aufgefallen, dass in dem Salzstreuer gelbliche Substanzen waren. Da ich das nicht so kannte und wusste, wollte ich höflich sein und habe dies dem asiatischen Küchenchef mitgeteilt. Da er kaum Deutsch konnte, versammelten sich plötzlich 3 weitere Mitarbeiter um mich herum, die beiden Vorherigen und eine junge asiatische Mitarbeiterin. Auf einmal fing sie an, mich vor allen laut anzuschreien: "DAS IST REIS! DAS IST REIS! WEGEN KLUMPEN!". Ich blieb höflich und lächelte. Später fiel mir auf, dass die asiatische Mitarbeiterin bei allen Gästen um mich herum die Teller aufräumte, nur nicht bei mir, obwohl sie jedes Mal auf mein Tisch schaute und trotzdem eiskalt weiterlief. Beim Buffet hat mich zuerst die junge asiatische Mitarbeiterin beim Essen holen unterbrochen, um die Schüssel auszutauschen, später der asiatische Mitarbeiter, um den Schüssel zu säubern. Genau dann, als ich das Essen auf mein Teller holen wollte. Als ich meine Jacke angezogen habe und bezahlen wollte, ignorierte mich die asiatische Mitarbeiterin und die junge asiatische Mitarbeiterin gemeinschaftlich. Irgendwann kam der asiatische Mitarbeiter zu mir und fragte mich, ob ich bezahlen will. Ich stimmte ihm zu. Er ging fort, weiter hinten hat die asiatische Mitarbeiterin ihm etwas gesagt. Er kam nicht mehr zurück. Erst nach ca. 15 Minuten warten lassen, kam er zu mir wieder und weiste mich auf den Salzstreuer hin, dass da drin Reis ist. Ich teilte ihm freundlich mit, dass ich das nicht wusste und höflich sein wollte. Er wünschte mir auf seltsame Art und Weise frohes neues Jahr. Später, als ich ging, hörte ich von weit hinten männliche Gelächter... Ich hatte hier immer Trinkgeld bezahlt. So geht man hier mit zahlenden, höflichen Kunden um, wenn man eine Frage stellt, um etwas bittet oder auf etwas hinweist... Nie wieder dieser Laden!
