The food was tasty, however, we were told we had to wait an hour for two classic doner kebabs – terrible.

My name is BrandonfromVegas and I travel the world eating food. My wife and I plan every single European trip around Frankfurt SPECIFICALLY to eat here, at this exact location. They’re always incredibly friendly to English speakers and will help walk you through the concise but sometimes challenging to pronounce menu. The Dönerkabob here is better than anywhere I’ve ever had it; from the fresh kabob meat to the warm German bread, to the bevy of delicious sauces—-the best being the garlic cocktail and spicy habanero ketchup—-this is like subway if something was world class food instead of plastic garbage. Can’t recommend more highly!!!!

A place to eat on the street or inside. A very tasty kebab. I ordered it with habanero sauce, fried chicken legs, and soda. You grab the soda from the fridge. It's excellent for fast food.

I was in Frankfurt for a Champions League game. I ate there spontaneously and got a very poorly filled kebab. Probably because the owner knew I was only going there once. I can't recommend the place.

We were visiting Frankfurt today and stumbled upon this kebab shop by chance. It's a very clean place. The guys behind the counter were very friendly and joked around with our daughter. The steak doner with grilled vegetables was absolutely delicious.

Perfect, very good, be careful, the hot sauce is really hot, no lies.

I noticed right from the start that the meat was strangely tough and the sauce was a bit disgusting, but I still ate it all up and then got the bill at home: many trips to the toilet. Thanks for that.

Absolutely delicious kebab. Everything from bread to meat is fresh. For me personally, this is currently the best kebab. Above all: HYGIENIC. Highly recommended. Update: The second visit wasn't as good as the first, but it was still good. The bread was toasted too hard this time, and the meat had less flavor. Salt shakers on the tables would have been helpful.

Located between the old City and the shopping centre!!! Foods taste authentic. Service is good the only thing perhaps missing is a customer’s WC. But you can wash your hands on a dedicated space! Table and sits are comfortable and with non-USB charging port available on most tables. Price is within the range for the region and the kind of foods.

The food quality and taste were excellent. Service was quick, and the staff were professional and attentive.

Unfortunately, the service – especially the cashier – was a complete no-go. Extremely rude, and even after pointing it out, they continued to treat you disrespectfully. In the end, they threw the buzzer at you. But the kebab was good.

On Saturday, August 2, 2025, my companion and I ordered a kebab and two drinks at your restaurant. Since we were already full, we asked for the kebab to be cut in half. After picking up our kebab, we noticed that it wasn't halved. I then politely asked the employee behind the counter to please cut it in half. To my great surprise, the employee reacted extremely aggressively. He shouted at me, saying, "That means please!" even though I had already used the word "please." He probably didn't understand this due to the background noise. Instead of clarifying the situation objectively, he aggressively threatened me that he could escalate the situation further if I wanted to. Such behavior is unacceptable, disrespectful, and frightening for guests.

It doesn't matter how many good Dönner places we eat at, this place has a special place in our palette. I can't put my finger on it but they are remarkably consistent and simply delicious. I especially enjoy their different fries. As a beef lover myself, I was surprised to discover that I enjoy their chicken Dönner much more than the beef. However, they are both delicious. Love this place.

Very tasty steak doner, excellent flavor, very well-seasoned meat, a little spicy, but for most people that's enough; you don't need any more spicy sauce. The chicken vegetable kebab is also perfect.

I was here for the first time today and I have to say that the steak kebab was really, really good, the best I've had in a long time!

We had two beef bowls and were pleasantly surprised. The bowls tasted outstanding. We were impressed by every single component. The meat was flavorful, the sauces were very tasty and different from some other run-of-the-mill sauces. The salad dressing was great. The portions were also generous. We'll definitely be back.

Very good kebab. Fresh meat, not minced meat, but layered meat! A very good selection of sauces, good vegetables. The parsley and lemon complement the product perfectly. The shop on Hasengasse is very stylishly decorated. It's not a cheap shop, but high-quality furniture that looks classy. Highly recommended overall. The prices are on the higher end, but you're happy to pay for a good product!

Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience at The Different Kebab. The service was really bad – we were barely noticed while ordering and not taken seriously at all. The cashier was extremely rude and didn't even greet us or look at us. The shop was completely empty – we were the only customers at the time. This might have been understandable if it had been busy, but as it was, it just seemed indifferent and disrespectful. The steak was also rather bland and unimpressive. Overall, we absolutely cannot recommend the shop. It's a shame.

The food was really good, no complaints there. But it was our first time here, and the way the staff spoke to us was unnecessarily rude.We were leaving when two employees told us agressive — to throw away our trays. We didn’t understand German, so we asked in English, and only then did they change their tone. Still, we were told again inside, in a very unfriendly way, to do it ourselves — even though we saw staff clearing trays from other tables.It felt unfair and unwelcoming. Sadly, despite the tasty food, I don’t think I’ll come back.

I wanted to wait until my second visit to conduct a defined review and here it comes… I tried their *NEW* steak meat Döner (Highly recommend), as many people have suggested it. The meat was cooked to perfection, on one side crispy and on the other tender, I couldn’t believe how juicy it was! I recommend to use less ingredients for your Döner, as you want the meat to be the highlight. You can also get your meal in a Bowl and as a vegetarian option they also offer Falafel. Great option to have. The staff is very polite and well organised, they are quick to assist and have a joy in serving people. All in all, it was a great dining experience and I would most definitely visit again! 5/5

Highly recommended. Everything from the taste to the atmosphere and friendliness was excellent. I'm a big eater, but one was enough to fill me up. If you're Korean, ask for a little spicy sauce in the white sauce. It's perfect!

Best Döner in Frankfurt. Really tasty, freshly baked bread, fresh and diversified veggies, many different sauces. Very clean and super friendly.

The chicken was really well seasoned and delicious; I really enjoyed it! Unfortunately, there was a bit too little sauce, which made it a bit dry. There were hardly any grilled vegetables either, just a small piece of bell pepper. Overall, though, it was still a solid kebab.

I had a falafel vegetable kebab for about €8.50, which was truly worth the taste. I've never had such a delicious kebab. The staff was friendly and the interior was clean. However, the drink prices were a bit disappointing.

Unfortunately, the branch on Hasengasse is declining considerably. Employees use foul language to communicate with one another. This naturally comes across as rather negative in front of customers and makes you feel uncomfortable. Sometimes you think the employees are arguing. Now to the ordering process. A colleague wanted a steak doner kebab with wholemeal bread. The answer: this combination isn't made and he should order the white bread. I wonder in what world it would be too complicated to offer wholemeal bread instead of white? Furthermore, the motivation and charisma of the employees leave a lot to be desired. My colleagues and I feel as if they don't know how their salaries are paid? It's from the customer's income. It's a shame. We've been there often and have been increasingly disappointed by the service lately. The doner kebab actually tastes good. But the overall experience suffers as a result. We'll just spend the money elsewhere. There's plenty of competition that's currently better.

Classic steak kebab with garlic, awesome!!!

We had a chicken and vegetable doner and a classic steak doner. Since we were new, we asked for advice on the dishes and received two very tasty doner kebabs. The chicken doner was topped with lots of fresh vegetables and was very tasty. The steak doner had a classic topping of lettuce, onions, and tomatoes. The meat was absolutely delicious! We'd definitely go back!

Looking for the BEST kebab in town? THIS IS IT!!! Incredibly delicious sauce, the best meat, and fresh vegetables. The taste of the flatbread alone is perfect. Filling, tastes better than schnitzel, and it's cheaper too. OK, it's not cheap (€10), but it's 100% worth it!

The meat was delicious, but the bread was unfortunately much too hard, so the bottom of my bread crumbled and the whole sauce fell onto my tray 😅 Except for one, the staff were relaxed and cool, and the outdoor seating was small but nice.

Not worth it! I had a small hunger and wanted a falafel box ,they kept telling me that the falafel were very expensive and they don’t do that. After i wanted to leave saying it was fine they told me they could do it and when i got my box with a very long waiting time they told me that I couldn’t have a vegan sauce because it was expensive as if I wouldn’t have paid for it if they asked me, during that entire procedure they kept gossiping and rolling their eyes . Mind you falafels aren’t expensive and they were not homemade but you know what was expensive,their prices .For bought falafel,bought bread and rude service asking for their prices is ridiculous,mind you i had no problem getting my falafels elsewhere. Please fix your service because the only thing different about this place is their attitude!!!

Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The cashier completely ignored us at first, preferring to stay on his phone until his colleague informed him that customers were waiting. When we were paged later, he tried to give us the wrong order. When I said it wasn't our food, he insisted it was. Rude and completely lacking in customer service. The kebab itself was OK. We definitely won't be back.

Different Kebab has many factors that set it apart. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Price-wise, it's also one of the cheapest kebabs in Frankfurt. Despite massive kebab price inflation, the shop has stayed true to itself, and you can usually get by on less than €10, a rarity in Frankfurt. The taste of the kebabs is completely different. The selection of sauces is amazing, the meat quality is one of the best in Frankfurt, and the new steak is very lean and flavorful—a 10/10. If you want to eat a kebab in Frankfurt and don't want to take any risks, go to Different Kebab and you won't be disappointed. JR

A disgrace, 45 minutes for 1 taco and on top of that, with bad manners, not recommended at all, I won't come again.

I went on a Friday afternoon at 17h30. The server was very patient with my lack of German. Electronic menu rotates between German and English. Service was fast. I ordered a beef bowl, portion was big, plenty of beef, salad was fresh, it was delicious. The restaurant was clean, did not have traditional kebab places’ greasy walls. There is a sink to wash hands!

February 2023: The best vegetarian kebab I've ever eaten. Grilled vegetables, grilled halloumi, delicious sauce. A bit pricey, but good quality. I'd like to have it again.

This was one of my favorite places to eat in Frankfurt. I have been a regular and have recommended this place to so many people. Their behavior has not been good last few times. Once I asked them to give me 1 sauce instead of 3 but give it to me separately and not inside the sandwich, I explained the logic as well but the guy said they charge 1 € to give the sauce outside of sandwich, which makes no sense. This makes them not so customer friendly, specially when I have been going to them very often for a long time. May be time for me to try some other restaurant.

I ordered a durum along with four kebabs and waited about 10 minutes. When the kebabs were finally ready, I was suddenly informed that there was no more durum. Why don't you say it as soon as you notice it? Instead, I had to wait while everyone else ate - and I came away empty-handed. This is extremely poor service and shows great indifference towards customers. Something like this simply shouldn't happen!

We ordered two vegetarian options and were truly pleasantly surprised. 5 stars not only in appearance, but also in taste, and it truly deserves the name "different." Very tasty crusty bread with a choice of flavors. It's a bit of a shame that there's no restroom (although there is a sink). Therefore, the place isn't really designed for a casual lingering experience.
