Particularly worthy of mention is the warm-hearted owner, who lives his passion for the product and enjoys sharing it with his guests. In times when salmon is available everywhere and at any time, this restaurant once again demonstrates what a noble food it truly is. It's precisely this appreciation that makes all the difference. At the Lachs & Moritz farm festival, everything was perfectly coordinated: fresh salmon, crispy baguette, freshly grated horseradish, and a wonderfully complementary rosé wine. A delight all around! 👉 I highly recommend every salmon lover to stop by here.

Bergen-Enkheim has been waiting for a place like this for a long time! Fantastic salmon, a cozy family atmosphere and incredibly friendly hosts. A real culinary gem combined with an inimitable mood of joy. He is a master at the stove, she is a charming hostess who surrounds guests with care and attention.

A wonderful Sunday with Salmon and Moritz! Great fresh food, fresh salmon with a wonderful potato salad and freshly grated horseradish! Plus great rosé wine! Afterwards very tasty cake with coffee! I tell you a dream! I want to go back! Thank you very much for everything!

My absolute recommendation. Salmon is a very special product that is refined here with a lot of passion and tastes simply delicious. You also meet a very nice owner whose passion is evident. Salmon is now “standard” in many shops and in every restaurant. Available and consumable at any time. I think salmon should be valued much (much!) more again. So: stay away from the mass-produced goods and go to Lachs & Moritz.

Yes, that was once again a real hit of enjoyment! Saw the whole thing on Hessen television and, after registering in advance, I made my way to Lachs and Moritz the next day. First of all, I was not disappointed! I was given a friendly welcome and was able to take a look at the whole thing. I was thrilled and immediately took an order with me. All I can say is it tastes delicious and I will come back! My rating in everything from hygienic and fantastically good enjoyment: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

But a bit overrated. With great skill in social and media marketing, a fairly simple main product (salmon/trout) is refined. You buy the basic product and smoke it. The media hype and the price are not justified. The salmon was OK, no question about it, but that's the case elsewhere too. You just buy a story or a “feeling” - whether you want it or not. Edit: the reaction clearly shows that an esoteric story is being followed and that the customer is to blame if he simply cannot recognize the genius behind the product and the highest quality :-) the many reviews from completely new accounts speak volumes.

We have often driven past the gate with the advertising banner “Salmon & Moritz”. As a big fan of smoked fish, we decided to try it every time. As luck would have it, we saw the report from the “Räuchermeister” on television. Immediately after the first few minutes, we were totally amazed by Moritz and his wife, how much passion and heart and soul they both put into their work. We spontaneously drove to Riedstrasse the next evening. The gate was open and Moritz was in the yard. So immediately pull over to the right and get out of the car. A super personable and warm Moritz greeted us with a manner that immediately captivated us. He showed us the room with the smokehouse. The air filled with the scent of fish smoked in beech wood is simply amazing. We decided on the stremella salmon and the smoked trout. Long story short...we tried the salmon straight away at home. It is in fact the best salmon we have eaten so far. The fish smells wonderfully of beech wood, has a great color, is tender and has a great consistency. The beech wood note is intense, but super pleasant and pure, without overpowering the taste of the salmon. A salmon with addictive potential... We're looking forward to the trout.

I have known Salmon and Moritz for a few years now and have to admit that I have never eaten such delicious salmon. I always like to come back for such delicacies because here you can literally taste the passion that Moritz puts into his work.

My wife and I went to Lachs and Moritz for the winter glow. The tarte flambée with salmon was so tasty that we treated ourselves to a second one straight after. The atmosphere, the people, the mulled wine and the hosts created a feeling like a great, large Christmas market, only much more cozy and not overcrowded. The vacuum-packed pieces of salmon or the whole smoked trout are also highly recommended. So keep an eye on Moritz's Instagram feed so you don't miss out on opportunities like this!

Ich habe das erste Mal Lachs von Moritz gekostet, als mir mein Bruder eine Portion mitgebracht hatte. Ein paar Wochen später habe ich dann auch direkt bestellt bei ihm. Moritz ist einfach ein cooler Typ und man merkt ihm die Passion zu seinem Produkt an.Der Lachs ist einfach fantastisch und man muss ihn probiert haben!

Der Lachs von Moritz und Deniz ist nicht nur super lecker, den beiden ist auch eine nachhaltige Produktion wichtig, was einen den Fisch mit gutem Gewissen genießen lässt. Dazu sind beide total authentisch und nett - deshalb immer gerne wieder!

Kannte den Lachs bisher nur von meinem Feinkostladen um die Ecke, aber jetzt konnte ich meinen lieblings Lachs auch direkt im Hofladen des Inhabers verspeisen. War sehr lecker und ich konnte den Lachs auch mal in anderen Variationen probieren. :)

Super leckerer Fisch. Als gebürtiger Hamburger habe ich selten so eine Qualität gesehen. Qualität hat seinen Preis, in diesem Fall aber allemal Wert.

Seit fast 4 Jahren holen wir nun regelmäßig unseren Lachs bei Deniz & Moritz. Die Qualität ist hervorragend und man kann ihn auch längere Zeit aufbewahren, ohne dass er verdirbt. Ich habe noch nie einen so saftigen Räucherlachs gegessen. Vielen Dank für diese Offenbarung.

wer gerne Lachs isst, MUSS den von Lachs und Moritz probieren. habe noch nie so frischen und leckeren Lachs gegessen, unfassbar zart und saftig. die Inhaber Deniz und Moritz sind zudem super nett und haben mir bei der Abholung noch ein bisschen über das Räuchern erzählt.
