The Cave in Eckernförde

Cocktail bar?? We didn't get one because they said no one there who could make one, but other people got theirs... Oh yeah, and they didn't have wheat beer either because the keg was "broken"... The food was okay, but without cutlery or serving. The pizza was alright, but it could have been frozen. The pizza rolls were dripping with grease! Disgusting... Waiter 1 didn't speak German, waiter 2 was rude. It used to be such a nice place, now it's just pathetic!

The creepiest dining experience ever.

It used to be a lovely cocktail bar, now it's a pizza delivery service. Uncomfortable, bad service, bad cocktails. That was my last try.

I don't understand the good reviews. Dirty tables, uncomfortable atmosphere, and cold lighting. We ordered. Then nothing for a while. After about 20 minutes, someone came and asked if we had ordered spritzers. (We were the only customers.) Yes, two with sparkling water and one still. A short time later, he came back with three more spritzers and said he had made them all without sparkling water, but he could make some with sparkling water if really necessary. After another 20 minutes, the food arrived. The spaghetti carbonara was actually penne and tasted strange. We didn't eat the Bolognese either. What a waste of money.

It's a shame; we were there a few years ago and felt much more comfortable. The food was very bland and the beer wasn't cold.

NO!!!!! The place was completely empty, and no waitress could be found until about 10 minutes later. He told us to wait to order our cocktails until his colleague returned from delivery. When the drinks arrived after another order, we noticed that the mojito was served in a highball glass without ice cubes. It felt more like a delivery service than a cocktail bar.

Bad service when paying. He said it hadn't gone through my payment. When I translated what was on the receipt the second time and said it had, he called his boss. It had gone through both times. So I paid twice and he couldn't pay out the 30 euros from the cash register. He said he would come to our hotel but of course we haven't seen him. Bad style and amateurish manners. Be careful paying with cards

A nice welcome, and on hot days, you can cool off because, as the name suggests, the place has a cave-like structure, a kind of underground restaurant. The food was great, and the mocktails were great too :)

I wonder where all the top reviews come from. We were there recently. The atmosphere was completely chilly; none of the candles on the tables were lit. We waited at least 20 minutes for service before getting our menus. We also waited forever to order, even though it was just us and one other table. The pizza was a better frozen pizza. And the cocktails were more like long drinks in glasses like these with two ice cubes, and one of the cocktails was missing cream. When we pointed this out, the waitress disappeared with the glass for another 20 minutes, then announced that there was no cream. And we should have something else. So, as mentioned above, I'm far from a top review, and I can only dream of cocktail pictures like those in some of the reviews. I would actually give it 0 stars.

Pizza and wraps were good. However the calzone wasn't like that

Unfortunately, the food wasn't great, more of a convenience product than a tasty treat. The service was a little slow and they even forgot a main course, but the ambience makes up for it a bit.

Pizza was delicious, the waiter was nice despite the difficult Swiss at the next table, but you can't just put a bottle of wine on the table with different glasses 😁

Nice shop, but the food was underwhelming. The salad had no dressing and no flavor despite the coleslaw. The furnishings are a bit shabby, but that could also be due to my craftsman eyes. Prices are okay, food was very tasteless. Nevertheless, I will stop by again and try the cocktails.

Were here for the second time and loved it again. Both the pizza (there is lunch) and the burger (patties are homemade) taste great and are completely reasonable in terms of price. Will definitely come back on our next vacation.

Convenience chicken strips with sauce from a plastic container, bartender doesn't know his cocktails. Ambiance with the cellar was ok but the view into the other areas was really bad.

We stayed here during our vacation stay. The menu is manageable, the food was delicious. I have to praise the cocktails very highly. I've never had such delicious cocktails before. I chose the "Red Orange" ('Drivers') on the recommendation of the service person. Simply great! We ordered 2 cocktails “to go” for the way home. Can just be recommended!

I sat there both inside and on the terrace and got delicious food. However, I'm not a cocktail fan but there are all sorts of drinks. The service is also impeccable.

The food is really delicious, as are the cocktails. Unfortunately the service is very bad, people don't ask or look after you and the atmosphere is also very cold. Unfortunately, what was once a hotspot has become a yawning emptiness. I prefer to order, the suppliers there are very attentive and friendly and the food is just as delicious.

We went there twice for lunch this week. Once we had pizza, the other time it was pasta. The portions for lunch, 7.90 euros, are plentiful and very tasty. We can only recommend it. The service is attentive but not intrusive.

Gestern waren wir zum ersten Mal hier was essen. Ich hatte einen Cheeseburger mit Kartoffelnecken und mein Mann eine Pizza Calzone. Wir wurden sehr nett begrüßt und der nette Herr von der Theke hat uns nett bedient. Beide waren wir mit dem ausgesuchten Gerichten sehr zufrieden! Der Burger war frisch zubereitet und das Fleisch auf den Punkt genau gebraten! Das Brötchen war außen etwas leicht knusprig und trotzdem schön weich . Ich war sehr positiv überrascht! Wir sind sehr satt geworden . Preis Leistung ist auch in Ordnung! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder wenn wir innere Nähe sind.

Die Burger sind super. Die Portionsgröße ist absolut ausreichend. Die Speisekarte ist nicht überfrachtet. Sehr freundliches Personal, immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen. Preise sind auch sehr gut. Lediglich der Außenbereich könnte etwas aufgehübscht werden. Sonst wirklich sehr zu empfehlen.

War lecker: Zwei Cocktails to go zu je 7,50€.

Eigentlich kann man sich im The Cave immer einen leckeren Cocktail als Absacker gönnen oder to-go mit nehmen. Normalerweise würde ich auch 5💫 geben, aber wir wurden um 21:30Uhr sehr lustlos und pampig bedient und geschmeckt haben die Cocktails dieses Mal leider auch nicht. Ich hoffe, dass es beim nächsten Besuch wieder besser ist.

Burger sehr lecker!Preis Leistung Top! Das Essen hat länger gedauert ,als sonst aber der MA kam zu uns und hat sich entschuldigt ,da das Kassensystem die Bestellung nicht an die Küche weitergeleitet hat. Für die nette Ehrlichkeit gibt es auch volle Punktzahl.Wir kommen wieder.

Pluspunkt von "The Cave" ist sicher die Lokalität an sich. Die Beschreibung "grottig" muss nicht negativ sein :-). Mir hat es gefallen. Großartig fand ich auch, dass wir Platz bekommen haben für 17 Personen (es wurden andere Gäste gefragt, die sich dann umgesetzt haben). Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Was mir nicht so sehr gefallen hat - und das bemängele ich oft bei Cocktails - es wird am Alkohol gespart (und mit Eis überhäuft).

Leider waren die Kellner nicht die schnellsten obwohl wir draußen saßen und nix los war. Preise sportlich

Bedienung am Donnerstag um 12.00 Uhr unbrauchbar. Mußten 20 Minuten warten auf Bedienung. Im Laden waren nur 2 Kunden. Mach 45 Minuten warten durfte ich in den Laden selbst hinter der Bedienung herlaufen zwecks Bezahlung.

Essen bombastisch, cocktail super . Preise vollkommen in Ordnung.

Wir hatten sehr leckere Cocktails zu fairen Preisen

Wir sind heute dank der deutschen Bahn in Eckernförde gestrandet. In der „Innenstadt“ angekommen hat uns das Cocktail to go Schild vom Cave angelacht. Nach einer Bestellung von zwei Cosmopolitans durften wir erstmal warten. In der Zwischenzeit sind wir beide einzeln auf Toilette gegangen. Dazu sei gesagt, dass wir die einzigen Kunden waren. Nach weiteren Minuten waren die „Cocktails“ fertig. Die Cocktails wurden in einem 0,4 to go Becher serviert. Jedoch nur zu drei Fingerbreit gefüllt. Es gab kein Eis und eigentlich schmeckt der Cocktail auch nur nach Vodka und Grenadine. Dafür sind 8€ genau 8€ zu viel. Die Toiletten waren sauber und ansprechend, daher gibt es einen Stern von uns und keinen weiteren Besuch.

Das Essen war sehr lecker 😋 und Service super.

Burger waren lecker, Kartoffelecken recht scharf. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis war in Ordnung.

Wir waren heute sehr entäuscht, hatten uns auf einen netten Abend im Cave gefreut zu Silvester. Aber nichts geschmückt, keine Gäste.... Letztes Jahr war der Laden voll, mit Gästen, tolle Stimmung , gute Musik und alles für Silvester geschmückt und leckere Cocktails.

Sehr schöne Ambiente nette Bedienung super Essen

Der Keller ist irgendwie eher eine Bar als einen Resturante. Obwohl Muttagskarte und Essenangebot zumindest auf nen besseren Imbiss schließen lässt. Der Kellner war Mittags sehr sehr träge es hat lange gedauert bis die Karten kamen.... Dann bestellten wir Essen und Getränke und die zwei kleinen Cola haben 35min Gebraucht bis sie am Tisch waren. Die Burger waren Ok. Preis Leistung würde ich eher ins teurere Segment setzen.. Um zu Zahlen warteten wir nochmal 20min dann ging ich direkt zum Tresen und auch hier war niemand zu sehen. Erst der Anruf beim Kellner durch den einzigen weiteren Gast im Laden, kam der Kellner zum Abrechnen. Macht Euch selbst ein Bild. Mich/Uns sieht der Laden nicht wieder.

Lecker Cocktail, tolle Bedienung!

Das Ambiente bekommt 3/5 Sternen. Eigentlich ganz nett, die Musik ist sehr vielseitig und für gut gelaunte Menschen sehr ansprechend. Die Deko und das allgemeine Erscheinungsbild wirken manchmal sehr planlos. Das Essen und die Cocktails bekommen 5/5 Sterne. Die Preise sind voll in Ordnung und das Essen schmeckte bisher immer. Selbst einfach Gerichte (Gefüllte Pizzabrötchen) sind sehr solide. Die Cocktails sind wirklich sehr zu empfehlen. Der Service bekommt 4/5 Sternen. Der Barkeeper ist sehr freundlich und auch die meisten Kellner*innen fallen keineswegs negativ auf. Teilweise wirken diese nur lustlos oder unzufrieden, das könnte abfärben. Alles in allem aber eine lokale Empfehlung für einen einfachen und gemütlichen Abend in einer Bar.

Auf die Frage haben Sie noch geöffnet wurde um 22 Uhr (Öffnungszeit bis 23 Uhr, haben wir im Nachhinein gelesen) geantwortet: „Leider ja“. Service ist nicht vorhanden. Wir sollten uns selber eine Karte holen und zur Bar zum bestellen kommen.

Sehr nette Bedienung. Burger 🍔 mit Kartoffelecken und der Salat sehr zu empfehlen. Es war einfach köstlich. Wir kommen wieder.

Sehr leckeres Essen, hatte an einem Tag Burger und am einem anderen Pizza. Alles war sehr köstlich. Die Location ist auch super, hat mir sehr gefallen. Man isst nicht überall in einem Keller. Cocktails sind auch der Hammer, nur zu empfehlen!

Aufm Montag eines der wenigen Eckernförder Lokalitäten, welche in der Innenstadt offen haben. Daher sind wir ohne große Erwartungen rein und waren wirklich positiv überrascht. Die Burger schmecken wirklich klasse und haben ein hervorragendes Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis. Die Bedienung war wirkluch höflich & zuvorkommend. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
