The Bollicine in Dresden

Durch die Tür eines unscheinbaren Neubaus gelangt man mit dem Fahrstuhl in das nicht gleich zu erkennende Restaurant. Das freundliche Personal weist den Weg zur Dachterrasse. Ein bestens aufgelegter Francesco empfängt uns in aller Herzlichkeit mit einem spritzigen Prosecco. Auf der Terrasse stehend wird man von den Gebäuden der Altstadt regelrecht umarmt - der erste Kuss. Der Tisch gewährt den direkten Blick zu Koch und Küche. Der Kern der Vorspeise besteht aus Burrata und lässt große Hoffnungen auf das danach aufkommen. Die Pasta mit Muscheln bringt die Brise Meer auf den Tisch. Daneben lockt das tranchierte Rind, welches geschmacklich sowie in seiner Konsistenz unübertroffen daherkommt und sich vom milden naturhaften Püree umspielen lässt - der zweite Kuss. Neben der inspirierenden Weinbegleitung bildet Francesco mit seinem Limoncello den Höhepunkt des Abends - der dritte Kuss. Von solch Liebreiz überschüttet, konnten wir den Weg in die laue Sommernacht beschwingt nehmen.

Spontaneously looked for a delicious Italian restaurant in Dresden and was simply thrilled. Starting with the welcome drink and the very present boss of the house, Francesco Toro, it was an entertaining and very pleasant evening in an atmosphere that is not visible from the outside. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience an unforgettable evening with a great host. You have to convince yourself of the rest on site.

Upscale restaurant with a small selection of fine dishes. These are prepared in the open kitchen. Service super accommodating. The boss is always present. We spent the evening on the terrace, from which you have a fantastic view of the Zwinger and the old town.

Being a guest at Francesco means eating with a friend. Everything is just right here. The dishes are better than in any star restaurant and the service is so warm that you immediately feel at home. Despite a long journey, we will come back and celebrate my mom's birthday next time. I can't imagine a better place to do this.

A wonderful evening with a host who looks after his guests in the typical “old school” Italian style. The ambience of the small but fine restaurant including a wonderful roof terrace invites you to linger. All dishes were a culinary revelation. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed the stay, the food and drinks. We recommend the house without reservation, take your time and enjoy.

We were here for a business lunch and were able to eat a sensational 3-course menu. We had a small reception on the roof top with a fantastic view of Dresden, the Zwinger and the old town. The subsequent menu would be announced by a warm host and served according to all the rules of a menu service. The amuse and the bread were also excellent. The location is great, even if hidden - a real insider tip. I do have one comment about the main course: the halibut was terrific and to the point, and there was also a stick of green asparagus and carrot. A small side dish was missing, I thought that the fish might feel a bit lonely on the plate. The green asparagus, which is quite hard, cannot be cut with a fish knife, so I had to use the knife from my neighbor at the table. But that didn't affect the taste. The dessert was very commendable - incredibly delicious (a kind of cream puff surrounded by chocolate, with a lemon cake) - mega! Thank you!

A genuinely fantastic restaurant located on the 5th floor of a building. We found it by chance. Grazie Mille Francesco, you’re an amazing & super friendly chef! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 The chef made something special for our “picky” daughter straight away, something which was not on the menu, so we could enjoy our dinner. The gnocchi and the pappardelle were simply FANTASTIC! The restaurant is designed with great taste. Coctails are superb! Highly recommended! ⭐️ We were there with our daughter but better to go without kids!

The Bollicine is the upscale restaurant of the heart in the middle of Dresden. Such hospitality is unique. Paired with the all-round successful service, this is a top-class restaurant. We came here spontaneously without a reservation. But instead of being turned away, we got a Prosecco on the house and were allowed to briefly go on the roof terrace and admire Dresden at night. The hours that followed were like coming home. You were welcomed into the family. We are offered sensational service as well as first-class food and drinks. It was a feast for the palate and for the mind. Top class Italian fine dining. Thank you !!!We will definitely be back!

Francesco and his staff took care of us today, Christmas day for a special brunch. We are a group of four, two of us live outside Germany and two in Dresden. The restaurant was celebrating their first year in operation also and I can only wish they celebrate many more years into the future. What a great day we had. Our Dresden friends said that it was the best restaurant in the area. In our party we had two vegetarians an one with gluten and lactose intolerances. Meals were changed on the fly to accommodate and Francesco went about his business with flair. Truly a person who loved what he does and excels at making people feel as though they are enjoying a meal at a friend's house. Definitely one to go back to.

Italien in Dresden - Küche wie man sie jenseits des Brenners bekommt. Wöchentlich (!) wechselnde kleine, aber feine Speisekarte, die neugierig macht und deren Gerichte auch schmecken. Die Weinkarte hält eine interessante Auswahl bereit, die man nicht immer findet. Schicke Ausstattung, unübertroffen die Aussicht auf die historischen Bauwerke von Dresden - Elbflorenz trifft es sehr genau. Eine quirlige, italienisch-temperamentvolle Atmosphäre, die einen den Alltag vergessen lässt.
