The 5th District in Bremen

I wanted to pick up 2 meals but when I presented the gourmet booklet, the waitress insisted that I also had to buy 2 drinks. That wasn't in the terms of the voucher and there was only water or cola. So I had to pay an extra 5 euros for 2 small bottles of water, even though I offered her a 2€ tip instead. The amount was very small (see photo) Why do companies advertise with such voucher books and then behave so unfriendly towards customers, especially since the voucher book was quite expensive? Nothing is more expensive than bad advertising.

Good food for reasonable money. Everything OK.

The food had a fly, which was fried and obviously not something that happened after the food was cooked. When asked, The chef said it was something that happened after it was cooked and didn't apologize nor offered to cook it fresh again. Disappointing experience. The attitude and service was below par. Update: The chef approached us and apologized and returned the money. My intention was not to punish the chef but to be more considerate about mistakes. We all make mistakes and the immediate action from the management is appreciated.

I was at your place today and tried the (Happy Chicken) and it was the best chicken I've ever eaten. Tasty and clean. 👏🏻

They only wanted to apply the discount with the gourmet block if we each bought a small drink for €3. The man at the counter was very unfriendly. The food was tasty but very sweet.

My uncle is from Hong Kong and is a nice person. He told us right away that this might not be in line with our impression of traditional Chinese food. I hope everyone understands that it’s not easy for my uncle to do business. I can’t say much about the taste. It’s slightly sweet, which is acceptable. Uncle also gave us a separate portion of oily chili sauce. That chili sauce can eat three bowls of rice! grateful!

What a culinary delight! I had the Black Pepper Beef and the first bite was a real burst of flavor! I'm already quite experienced when it comes to authentic food and you can actually get something very good here. I can absolutely recommend the food and am already looking forward to my next visit with a new dish.

My wife and I wanted to eat here yesterday afternoon around 3 p.m. We stood in front of the counter, but the employee didn't even look at us. When I greeted him with "Hello, Chef", he only replied: "What is it?". I then explained that we would like to order, to which he replied: "No, I'm on break." There was no sign indicating he was on break. Of course he is entitled to take a break, but I still expect a more polite answer. Then everything would have been fine. Unlucky. That's why I only give it one star. As a matter of principle, I won't want to find out what the food tastes like.

We ate a delicious Ukrainian salad at a Ukrainian food stall in the market hall where there is much more choice, but this was the very best choice we ever made. The Ukrainian Buckwheat Salad at BAB Maria

Super delicious food, we had crying chicken and sweet & sour beef, both extremely good. Vegetables crisp and fresh. I would also give more than 5 stars for the food 👍🏼

Heerlijke beef pepper genomen, deze was totaal niet scherp. Lekker vers gewokt ookal smaakt het beetje hetzelfde als de andere gerechten die de andere mensen bij mij hadden.

Ordered 'happy chicken'. Barely eatable - too salty. It's a shame given if not for the salt, the dish might have been okay. I would strongly suggest avoiding the restaurant.

Das Hühnchenfleisch schmeckt sehr merkwürdig und gummiartig.

"Crying chicken" ist mein Favorit. Qualität und Preis sind gut.

Alle Jahre wieder, komme ich hierher! Bei jedem Besuch nach Bremen gibt es nach dem Bummel in der Stadt dort das Abendessen. Der Service ist nett und die Gerichte werden frisch zubereitet und schmecken sehr lecker! Gemüse ist knackig aber nicht zu fest und die Soße hatte eine leichte Schärfe (crying chicken). Das Bao Beef ist auch sehr lecker.

FOOD & DRINKS I was so excited to get some Chinese BBQ in Bremen. It’s really a rare sight to see HK BBQ in Germany so my expectation was kinda very high. Unfortunately this food stall wasn’t able to meet my expectations. In my opinion the meat hasn’t marinated long enough for the marinade to penetrate deeper into the meat. Most pieces of meat were even pretty dry. Other than that I think the dish wasn’t bad. SERVICE The young man behind the counter was friendly and nice. ATMOSPHERE It is a food stall located in a very pretty and modern food hall. The food hall itself is very cool and an amazing place to hang out. RATING I had this dish many times. From cheap places to mid range restaurants. If I had gotten juicier pieces of meat my rating would have been higher but in this case it was ok but nothing I would come back for unfortunately. NOTE Thank you very much for the feedback on my review. When I come back to Bremen I am definitely willing to give it one more try and ask for the fattier parts. Most of the time I don't need to ask because the chef serves the plate in a way that I can enjoy different pieces. In this case I did not had one really juicy piece.

Es ist ziemlich lecker und authentisch!!! Und der Besitzer des Restaurants ist außergewöhnlich nett und besteht darauf, frisches Char siu anzubieten, um die Qualität zu gewährleisten!

Das Essen war lecker. Die Bedienung unfreundlich. Wir waren an einem Samstag da, das Char Siu gibt es dann anscheinend nur auf Vorbestellung. Update nach Antwort: vor Ort ist es nicht sofort ersichtlich, dass manche Gerichte, die angeschrieben sind, nicht verfügbar sind. Andere waren eindeutig abgedeckt. Das ist auch nicht schlimm, dass kann man den Gästen dann freundlich mitteilen.

Very western style Chinese food, price is okay €8 However they sold out quick if you want roast meat from there.

Authentic Hong Kong Dai Pao Dong (outdoor food bazaar) experience by chefs from Hong Kong. Wok hei is perfect. Highly recommended!

Ja - lecker / kann man gut machen

Wir mussten erst ein bisschen suchen, bis wir dann entdeckt haben, dass das Restaurant direkt in der Markthalle bei den anderen "Food Trucks/Ständen" gelegen ist. Geschmacklich und auch preislich ein hervorragendes Erlebnis, man bekommt per Pieper eine Benachrichtigung sobald das Essen fertig ist. Das Essen war frisch zubereitet und noch heiß beim Verzehr.
