Nanking in Bremen

I had the desire to "eat Chinese, but like before, at the table, in delicious", so we came here. The ambience alone is a dream, so beautifully "kitschy" but really kindly meant. The staff is very friendly and it was very quiet even though it was very busy. The food was delicious, just like before. Thank you for the wonderful evening and we will definitely come back.

Unfortunately you can only give 5 stars. Remaining great for over 25 years. Recommended. All thumbs up.

Wir kamen hierhin zum Mittagessen. Nach kurzer Zeit füllte sich das Restaurant mit Gästen - erstmal ein gutes Zeichen. Das Interieur war gut - chinesisch, aber nicht zu kittschig. Der Service gut und freundlich. Das Essen war sehr gut, insbesondere bezogen auf den mittagstisch. Auf jeden Fall eine sehr gute Wahl.

Nanking has been an institution in Bremen for many decades and I have known it since my early childhood. I travel to China regularly and can therefore say that the food is authentic. This was my first time there since I moved from Bremen and I can still recommend Nanking.

I was there with my friend Sabrina, we both love Asian food and the restaurant completely met our needs. Sabrina, it was a very nice evening with you :) Inst. dogeone21

Very tasty food, generous and reasonably priced. This has nothing to do with “fried noodles to go”. The service is quick and very friendly, children are welcome. Single-use take-away packaging is dispensed with in favor of a cheap deposit system. The interior is a bit old, but still harmonious. We'd love to come back.

Went here for lunch today and it was good, tasty and filling like the "Nanking" has known for over 40 years. I appreciate the service staff because of their attentiveness, friendliness and willingness to help. The "Nanking" is a guarantee for very good Chinese cuisine and is certainly the best Chinese restaurant in Bremen.

45€ for tomato-pineapple water sauce tied with starch, 6 pieces of pineapple and peas inside, endless sprouts and nothing else, meat was good and rice, you can't go wrong with that. Am very disappointed

Absolutely overpriced! My husband and I have been guests at Nanking for years, unfortunately the food and the rooms have suffered greatly. The prices double and the portions become smaller and smaller. You now feel like you're being ripped off here and you're not really getting enough. There are better Chinese restaurants there now. The inventory is also quite old. There is simply no investment here, only profit-making. There are better Chinese restaurants there now.

The dishes cost around €15-16 but are very generous. It is advisable to share a dish. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere is very nice. You can sit there comfortably and definitely stop by.

Nice Asian restaurant. Attentive and friendly staff. Well located on a small side street. It's better to reserve seats for the evening on the weekend...we were somewhat lucky with 5 people.

Top Chinese in Bremen!! The duck was delicious, as were the fried noodles! The furnishings are also very comfortable and like a short trip to China.

Although it says on the Internet that it is barrier-free, it is not. There was a step at the entrance and after asking, there was no portable ramp. I can't rate the food because I didn't come in.

We've been coming for decades, but the food no longer tastes good and it wasn't tolerable either! The space next to the entrance that we were given when we arrived was cold and drafty. We won't be coming back!!!

Excellent! Unique interior, super nice staff, what we couldn't manage we got in a Tupperware container. The food was great, tasty and rich. We just felt comfortable. Update: definitely try the Peking duck! (order 2 days in advance). It's just a shame that many of the seats in the restaurant are very dirty. My wife is a little disgusted and puts her jacket underneath.

The food was okay, but not as good as I expected after reading the other reviews. Unfortunately not more than normal average. Unfortunately, it's too expensive for what's on offer.

Our visits to Nanking were always a pleasant experience that took us back to a bygone era. The rustic furnishings give the restaurant a unique charm that makes you feel at home. We have visited the restaurant several times with different groups of people and have always been impressed by the friendliness and attentiveness of the employees, who were always present even when the workload was high. The food was consistently delicious and always served hot. The diverse menu offers something to suit every taste, but there is a lack of a buffet for those who would like to indulge in gluttony. :) Overall, we can recommend the restaurant without reservation.

Reservations on the weekend are recommended, otherwise everything is good.

Table right next to the entrance very unpleasant. The cold comes in as soon as you open the front door and that is not pleasant. People crowd right next to it while waiting for their placement. Table to avoid. In terms of cuisine, very good dishes, however lack of taste in the sauce served separately. Mine should have been well seasoned but nothing. Disappointment for the sauce. The crispy duck and the rice were very good. Attentive and efficient service.

The Nanking offers a cozy atmosphere, nice service and a wide variety of very tasty Asian food. The portions are great, we always had something left over and were able to take it with us for the next day. Price performance is top. We always enjoy coming here.

As a starter we had wonton soup and spring rolls. Then fried noodles and grilled duck. Only recommended 👍 the service is very friendly and we find it really comfortable and always enjoy coming back.

The starter soup for lunch used to be better. Not enough spring onion in the soup. Ambiance is a bit worn out. Needs to be renovated and new carpet installed.

Bremens bestes chinesisches Restaurant. Bin seit 20 Jahren dort immer sehr zufrieden.

Hier stimmt noch das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Sehr schmackhaftes Essen, grosse Auswahl, ein sehr aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service. Wir kommen bereits seit Jahren gerne hierher und werden es auch zukünftig tun.

Einrichtung: Typisch deutsches chinesisches Restaurant mit deutlichen Gebrauchspuren. Vorspeise: Eine große, fettige Frühlingsrolle für jeden von uns. Na ja. Hauptspeise: Nasi Goreng in der Hoffnung bestellt, dass das eigentlich immer und überall gut schmeckt. Ja, es war ok. Gebratene Nudeln mit Schweinefleisch. Wenn die Nudeln gebraten waren, so sah man es nicht. Sie waren heiss und ölig. Ebenso das Fleisch. Das Becksbier wurde als Veltins mit 3,60€ per Flasche berechnet. Immerhin, der Ober war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Das Essen ist lecker. Große Portionen. Leider etwas im Preis gestiegen. Würde immer wieder hingehen.

Dadurch das es recht voll war, hat alles etwas gedauert. Das Essen hat meinen Geschmack nicht ganz getroffen und die Kellnerin war ungeduldig.

Schon seit 1962 Jahren am Platz. Sehr gut besucht. Die Einrichtung angenehm zurückhaltend. Ich habe ein paarmal dort gegessen: es war immer sehr solide und gut. Bleibt zu erwähnen, dass die Bedienung sehr freundlich ist.

Typisch chinesische Einrichtung. Schweinefleisch war bei meinem Besuch aus, es wurde aber eine Empfehlung ausgesprochen und das war auch sehr lecker. Alles etwas hektisch da stark frequentiert und Abholer kommen auch noch dazu.

Hier hab ich schon vor vierzig Jahren gegessen und komme immer wieder gerne her. Leckere Essen, freundlicher Service.

Beides von herausragender Qualität. Service megafreundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Top 👍 Wir kommen wieder.Sehr empfehlenswert!

Seit 30 Jahren gehe ich ins Nanking, und die Qualität ist unverändert gut, selbst wenn wie heute es restlos ausgebucht ist.

Heiß, gute Qualität und gut gewürzt. Heute hatte ich krosse Ente Szechuan Art. Sie war kross, das Fleisch zart, kaum Fett unter der krossen Haut. Die Soße war intensiv und würzig. Den Reis hab ich wie immer mit dem Chilli Öl gewürzt. Ruhiges Ambiente, sehr angenehm zum dinieren. Der Service freundlich und auffällig schnell im Reichen der Speisen. Suppe, Hauptgang und Nachtisch kamen quasi angeflogen. 😂👌🏻 Ich bin sehr zufrieden. Dankeschön, dass ihr für mich gekocht habt und überhaupt dass es euch gibt 🙏🏻♥️

On my friends birthday occasion we went to Nanking for dinner. The food was very good and was sufficient for the two of us. We ordered spring rolls, cashew fried chicken, chicken fried rice, and ended with fried banana with vanilla ice cream a must try dessert. Overall the food, atmosphere, and the service was good with reasonable prices.

Ich bin beeindruckt. Geschmacklich eine ganz andere Klasse im Verhältnis zu den vielen all u can eat Restaurants. Es schmeckt alles. Selbst die Nudeln schmecken wie gegrillt und sind einfach nur lecker.

Wir kommen gerne hierher. Das Essen ist immer sehr lecker. Alle Mitarbeiter immer freundlich. Die Pekingente ist sehr zu empfehlen. 👌
