My wife and I had breakfast and dinner here and were really impressed. The food was absolutely top notch and the service was excellent.

Not far from Oberstaufen, quiet location, but great as a starting point for excursions.

We were there to eat and had ordered a table for 2 people, we were assigned a table in the room, there were 3 tables set for 2 people, instead of telling the guest to choose one, you had to take it, the service wanted, it could be better. The sauerbraten we had ordered could no longer be ordered with red cabbage; we were offered a salad as an alternative, which was very good. The sauerbraten was solid like concrete, no matter how hard it was possible to tear it apart with the meat, the meat wasn't tough but firm, a sign that the cook didn't braise it long enough, that shouldn't happen.

A beautiful Allgäu style restaurant. Friendly staff, fine Allgäu specialties, exactly as you would expect in the Allgäu. A visit is highly recommended, I haven't eaten such delicious Kässpatzen in a long time.

Top service, great food...again at any time

As always, I was super satisfied with the food and the service. We have been going on vacation to the region for years and we always eat there at least once, we have never found anything bad about this restaurant. Service and food are simply top.

We were there several times and each time we had problems choosing a table - tables were supposedly reserved but there was no reservation sign on the table. Conversely, we were transferred to reserved tables - albeit in the blazing sun. It was always dubious and annoying. Maybe locals or hotel guests go first. The waitresses seemed stressed and unfriendly. The location is generally nice, the food is good, if not outstanding - but quite expensive. Käsespätzle were more mud than knöpfle and also very bland. The schnitzel was dripping in fat. We don't go there anymore, even though you can sit outside. The neighborhood also has good food and a friendlier atmosphere.

Stopped in today to have a little something to eat, we sat down and the waiter was already there and asked if we would like to order something to drink or if we would like to take a look, we wanted to take a quick look. If we had known that we would only have to order again after about 20 minutes, we would have better ordered straight away. My wife's drinks and cake arrived after about 15 minutes. I had ordered a sausage salad, which unfortunately wasn't there yet. My wife had finished her cake and we had finished drinking, but the waiter was no longer seen, I never got my sausage salad, I then found it in the Lolal, where another guest was already standing who wanted to pay. I also asked for the bill and said that of course I wouldn't pay for the sausage salad since I hadn't gotten it, I was only briefly looked at, no convincing attempt to apologize, rather slight indifference, a shame for a place like this but probably no matter, come yes, new tourists every day.

Actually, at the worst possible time (Saturday evening 6:30 p.m., moderate weather (so sitting outside was rather suboptimal..) and without a reservation..) I just went there and asked for a free place for dinner and a beer. The restaurant was of course packed, but the service was still super nice, asked for a moment to wait and then there was actually a free table for me. Sure, there was certainly a bit of luck involved (other guests without a table reservation unfortunately had to leave without having achieved anything), but the staff were still very nice and the little wait (less than 5 minutes!) was absolutely worth it in the end. The menu is very appealing, not too much and not too little, plus pleasant regional cuisine and reasonable prices. I had a pork neck steak with ratatouille vegetables and spaetzle for 20 euros, plus a local draft beer - and the whole thing took 30 minutes at most despite the restaurant being full, nicely prepared and served with a smile. Conclusion: Delicious regional cuisine, very nice staff and a rustic atmosphere - but it is definitely advisable to order in advance (especially on weekends, on holidays and if you are traveling with several people)! PS: There's also a nice little beer garden - the weather just has to be right.

If you drive past there, you should stop by. Food great ambience and service also great. The space was a little modest, but what can you expect without a reservation. Next time I would make a reservation as it is very busy.

I've been coming to the village house for years and always feel very comfortable, friendly hosts, cozy rooms, beautiful beer garden and delicious (not convenience) food. It's always a bit like coming home... Thank you dear Ms. Erd and her team.

Very tasty regional food. Only a little more expensive than perhaps the traditional beer garden and here you should eat at least one starter and/or dessert to fill you up. Everything is particularly delicious. Very friendly and child-friendly staff. Playground nearby but not within hearing or sight so perfect for older children to wait for their food.

Went to the beer garden this afternoon around 3:45 p.m. There were only 3 tables occupied. After 20 minutes we left again because 3 people from the service took turns outside in the beer garden and didn't even notice us.

Wir waren vom Service sehr enttäuscht. Unglaublich unfreundlicher Kellner. Überheblich und arrogant. Unser Hund war ein Problem („ach, den haben Sie wohl nicht angemeldet“). Wir haben uns überhaupt nicht willkommen gefühlt und wären am liebsten gleich wieder gegangen . Essen war gut. Aber hat leider den negativen, unfreundlichen Kellner nicht wettgemacht. Schade. War früher viel besser. Wir werden dort nicht mehr essen.

We can only rate the restaurant. Very lovingly designed guest room. Created a nice little magazine of our own and a regional menu that wasn't overloaded. A daily special is offered orally as it always changes. Despite the traditional German cuisine, one would think that a gourmet star was hidden in the kitchen. Great mix. The ingredients are fresh and well prepared. We drove past Thalkirchdorf several times in the first few days... a fatal mistake... the village shop is also an insider tip.

Wir waren in diesem Restaurant mit fünf Personen zum Essen. Alles war hervorragend, Bedienung sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

The atmosphere is very inviting, the service staff is very nice and attentive. Unfortunately, when it came to eating it was exactly the opposite. The cheese soup was bland, not at all fresh. The linguine was no longer al dente, resulting in a soggy chewing experience. The cheese spaetzle is also bland, is Emmental cheese used here? The salad was good, my brothers-in-law also found the Vitelo tonnato very tasty. Well, maybe you had a bad day? The recessions here strangely speak a different language.

We ordered food to pick up and absolutely loved it! The selection of vegetarian dishes was exceptional for me. So many delicious things that I could hardly decide. In the end it was the cheese soup and the cheese pätzle. My sister ate a schnitzel with cheese pätzle. Everything from A to Z was delicious and prepared with a lot of love despite the take-away order 😊 The restaurant itself had an incredibly cozy atmosphere 🥰

I actually just wanted to have a coffee in the small town where my therapist ended up. And I'm curious too... the surprise was big: the village shop has unpackaged organic goods, homemade delicacies and even its own range of tableware. After I bought the wonderful felt animal egg warmers, a gravy boat and the mulled cherry jam, I went to the café/restaurant. Then the surprise was perfect. I encountered a cool menu, great service and a large selection of rooms for celebrations. I am speechless to find such a gem in a remote part of Oberstaufen. Respect!

We hebben heerlijk gegeten in dit sfeervolle restaurant. Waar we heerlijk hebben genoten van een kaasfondue ( vanaf 2 personen) de lekkerste kaasfondeu die ik ooit gegeten heb. De bediening was goed een gezellige gastheer. Ik zou dit restaurant zeker aanbevelen.

Wir haben dort nicht übernachtet, sondern nur gespeist, aber das war super. Alle vier Gäste waren mit den Speisen sehr zufrieden. Das Preisniveau ist zwar leicht gehoben, das Ambiente jedoch entsprechend. Sehr gemütlich, sehr gute Bedienung. Wir kommen wieder.

Toller Aufenthalt in einem der Chalets, welches sehr hochwertig ausgestattet und extrem sauber ist. Wir waren häufig im Restaurant essen, uns hat es immer sehr geschmeckt. Das Käsefondue ist etwas besonderes, was sich auf jeden Fall lohnt. Der Dorfladen hat ein tolles Sortiment mit eigentlich allem was man braucht für ein gutes Frühstück/Abendbrot und eine schöne Auswahl an Lebensmitteln und Geschenkartikel aus der Region. Durchweg war das Servicepersonal außerordentlich freundlich. Wie kommen gerne wieder!

Wurde aber sofort professionell gelöst. Location: urig und modern, sehr ansprechend

BEWERTUNG DES RESTAURANTS! Nette Gastwirtschaft mit schönem Garten. Der Service war schnell und freundlich, das Essen top. (Besuch am 12.8.2023) Außerdem sind die Öffnungszeiten gastfreundlicher als bei den meisten anderen Restaurants in und um Oberstaufen. Zum Dorfhaus gehören auch moderne Ferienwohnungen.

Waren dort zum Essen war super gut

Wir waren kurzfristig Mittags unter der Woche hier im Restaurant. Sehr angenehmer Service und Ambiente. Vom Essen waren wir begeistert - die Kürbiscremesuppe als auch das Kaese-Haselnuss-Schnitzel waren exzellent. Gute Zutaten fein aufeinander abgestimmt. All das zu einem guten Preis-Leistungsverhaeltnis. Starke Empfehlung!

Nett und Sauber! Freundliche Bedienung! Die Käsespätzle sind leider nix :-( Für alle die es genau wissen möchten, viel zu wenig und fader Käse und die Portion ist offenbar als Vorspeise gedacht. Der sehr freundliche Kellner hatte aber auch nicht den Schneid zu zeigen das es besser geht.

Das Dorfhaus in Thalkirchdorf ist einfach immer wieder toll und wir kommen regelmäßig hier her. Die Auswahl an Tagesgerichten ist immer abwechslungsreich und die Standardgerichte wie beispielsweise das Käseschnitzel gehen immer. Für Vegetarier findet sich hier ebenfalls immer eine gute Auswahl an Gerichten.

Wir waren zum Abendessen dort. Sehr nettes ambiente. Reichhaltige Karte mit fairen Preisen. Sehr netter Service. Das Essen war exzellent! Ich habe noch nie ein so leckeres Käsefondue in einem Restaurant erhalten. Wir waren zu fünft. Jedes Essen war perfekt. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Sollten wir wieder in dieser Gegend sein, kommen wir erneut!

Seit 15 Jahren schließen wir unsere Wandertouren im Allgäu immer mit einem Abendessen im Dorfhaus in Thalkirchdorf ab. Der Ort selbst ist eben ein kleines Bauerndorf an der Strecke Oberstaufen - Immenstadt i.A. und wäre nicht wirklich erwähnenswert, wenn es da nicht das Dorfhaus mit seinem schönen Biergarten und den gemütlichen Gaststuben gäbe. Das Dorfhaus war bis vor einigen Jahren ein echter Geheimtip, aber wie das eben mit den Geheimtips so ist, irgendwann sind sie so bekannt wie bunte Hunde, überlaufen und dann geht's bergab.

Gut besuchtes Restaurant. Regionale Küche. Man kann bei schönem Wetter auch draußen sitzen. Bedienung freundlich und aufmerksam. Kinder bekamen gleich Malvorlagen und Buntstifte.
