A true institution in Leer and the surrounding area. The spare ribs are a dream, super tasty and juicy...the onion rings fried in homemade beer batter...the asparagus was on point and the hollandaise was super tasty, oh what a poem. The service is also a 10/10, thank you for the lovely evening, we would love to come back.

Food was very tasty, and actually way too much. Which was because I fanatically ordered a double burger. Wouldn't have been necessary. Cozy tent/atmosphere. With a lot of choice, also in terms of price. Nice extra to quickly get 2 rolls and some peanuts. Definitely come back here

I had the Billy The Kid plate and was more than satisfied and, above all, full. The meat was consistently juicy and very tender. My family eats here every now and then and has always been very satisfied.

I was there for the first time today, the food is amazing and the service is super friendly, it's fast even though there's a lot going on, the workers keep an overview. I can only say that people go there are super tasty and very friendly and the atmosphere is really cool if you like Texas things it's just awesome.

Nice western style shop. Service was nice and tried hard, but after the recent opening of the beer garden it was still a bit uncoordinated. It was nice that my wife was able to order the children's burger because she wasn't hungry. Unfortunately there was nothing special about this one and the pattie was too hard. I had the spare rib burger, which was just way too big and served with too much sauce. The meat wasn't very tasty and the sauce tasted like MacRib at McDonald's. If you value overflowing plates more than quality, this is the place for you. Of course, our two dishes from a fairly large menu are not meaningful. We wouldn't eat there again because the amount of meat and the prices put us off. I prefer to have less on the plate, not drown everything in sauce, for a smaller price. The masses on the plate often don't look tasty either. Sometimes less is more. Try it yourself and form your own opinion. There are many people here who like to eat there often.

An amazing shop! The atmosphere is great! You don't know where to look first. The food, awesome! Everyone will definitely be full. (Next time I'll have to leave out the starter!) And it's simply delicious! 😋 Throwing the nutshells on the floor is part of it! 😅 It definitely wasn't the last time! We'll be back.

All I can say is that it's super tasty, just really good, and I can only recommend it. So info for those who have never been there and are not the biggest eaters, don't eat a starter or prefer to share.

We were there for the all you can eat spare ribs. I've had better ribs. There are two salads included. Coleslaw is good. Fries or similar are not included. Had a good evening.

Unfortunately everything has become too expensive for the quality and there has been no change and the same ambience for tens of years.

Today we waited at 1:30 am for our food with two children. When we complained we were told that we weren't at MacDonald's but the kitchen knew about it and now it's quick, the food is only cooked in the fryer anyway. We didn't eat and left.

Have eaten here several times and it has been delicious every time. Delicious steak, nice ambiance and friendly service. Unfortunately the portion was too big for me, but the taste was fine.

Vorab - tatsächlich sehr schade, wir haben wirklich für so ein außergewöhnliches Lokal echt Hoffnung gehabt. Laut HP reservierungspflichtig - sowie bei unserem Besuch, dennoch war das Lokal leer. Bedienung gut gelaunt, für einen Schnack offen. Die Getränke sowie die Bestellung kamen flott. Die Idee des Restaurant ist zwar gut, aber es ist deutlich Luft nach oben. Der kleine Appetizer mit den zwei Brötchen und der Kräuterbutter - nett aber die Brötchen waren wirklich mindestens vom Vortag. Das Steak in Soße - nun - die Tomatensoße war herzlos, geschmacklos. Das Steak zwar weich, aber bitter, da es auf der Unterseite ordentlich verbrannt war. Ohne große Ansprüche zu haben, sollte jedoch bei einem Burger mehr möglich sein, als eine Zusammensetzung aus Bun, Fleisch, einem Salatblatt, einer Tomaten Scheibe und einer 0815 „BBQ“Soße die eher nach dem Curry Ketchup schmeckt.

We had to wait over an hour for our food and we only ordered two burgers and they arrived wrong and cold. That's why I don't eat at this restaurant anymore.

Nice menu, lots of choice. When the glasses are empty, you must ask for new drinks. The waiter doesn't pay attention. The meat was fried tough and the vegetables were missing. Fries are of fast food quality, nothing special. The prices are high and therefore the price/quality ratio is not good.

This is the second time I've been very disappointed. My food looked like it had been eaten before and was only lukewarm. The kitchen staff probably learned to be a chef through second-chance education, otherwise they wouldn't have served such a thing to any guest. The service is friendly and helpful... At least at first. The drink we ordered didn't come at all. Unfortunately I can no longer recommend the Texas River Ranch😔. It's getting more and more expensive and letting the service slide like that is really cheeky😡. It's a real shame because it used to be a really mega restaurant 🤷.

Rustic furnishings in Texas style. Relatively dark in terms of light. If you look closely you can see that it is not very clean. The waitresses are very nice and competent. The steaks are of course cooked exactly as ordered. The spice tastes strange, but it's a matter of taste. I'm all for honest salt and pepper. You can taste the meat there. The chicken wings are not very crispy. We let them go back which wasn't a problem at all! and get new ones again. But they weren't crispy either. The chili and the side dishes as well as the starters are top.

We were welcomed very friendly by a man and then looked after by Maria. I have rarely experienced such cool service. She's not the usual "I'm overly nice to get a lot of tips" type of person, but a super friendly and quick-witted woman who did a great job of keeping us happy. There were seven of us sitting there (4 adults/3 small children) and even the kids said that Maria was really cool 😊 We'll be back 🙌🏼

Wings and all side dishes are frozen goods. Sauces not homemade either. Sparribs are really a matter of taste (for me they had an aftertaste like they had been warmed up again). Please exchange all the frozen goods. It takes a little more work but then the price justifies itself. But service was great

Great atmosphere, Billy the kid plate: unfortunately all the pieces of meat were on the grill for too long and too dry. Better not come at prime time (Saturday evening).

As the name suggests, Texas Ranch From food to service and ambience, everything was very well adapted.

Such a shame…. I no longer live in Leer and I always come by for a quick detour. Back then they had the best spare ribs ever. The meat was off the bone and the meat was to die for. Unfortunately the quality got worse from time to time. Just hard and no longer outstanding. My friend's tuna straw also caused intestinal problems at night. The restaurant was mercilessly overbooked on a Friday, so we had to wait 1 1/2 hours for our food. The service staff did their best to keep the mood high and really did a great job. All in all, I have to say that River Ranche has clearly lost some of its luster and flavor.

Very nice staff! As always, the food was very tasty and arrived at the table super quickly. Addendum: Two years ago the food was great. Nowadays the main courses are getting worse and worse.

Leider war der Abend nicht so wie erwartet. Die Bedienung war nicht freundlich. Nach über eineinhalb Stunden wurde auf Nachfrage etwas genervt reagiert. Das wird leider in schlechter Erinnerung bleiben. Das Essen kam nach über 2 Stunden. Das bei einem nicht vollen Restaurant. Leider wird hier nicht nach Reihenfolge bedient sondern nach Nasenfaktor der Bedienung. Es gibt leider keine andere Bewertung.

A great restaurant! Nice ambience in Texas / American / Indian style. The service was very courteous and friendly and the food tasted good: the meat of the ribs was easy to remove from the bone and the Amarillo pan was also very tasty. Definitely a recommendation😊

We ate there twice and were thrilled twice. Both the burgers and steak as well as the pan dishes and the spare ribs were great. The waitresses are very nice and the atmosphere is great. The online reservation system is practical. If we are in the area again, we will come back.

The two of us were there on New Year's Eve. It wasn't crowded, very pleasant. Very prompt, attentive and friendly service. Food as always very tasty. Small minus: the butter with the bread that was served beforehand was hard, even when substituted! And the delicious coffee/sweet condensed milk nightcap is only available upon request, which is a shame. It's been like this for 1.5 years. This always made the visit there complete and was a unique selling point.

We went there to eat at the Christmas buffet. We were all very enthusiastic about the food that was offered. Everything was super tasty and the staff was very, very well organized and friendly. The restaurant is awesome people!! We were guests at the adjacent campsite and ate in the restaurant for two evenings. The staff is very nice and accommodating, when you're in the restaurant you really feel like you're in America. The place really has flair. The food is super delicious. The prices are absolutely reasonable. We'll be back! Tip: be sure to reserve a table online.

We went to the Christmas buffet again today. It was again super tasty. Great selection of all kinds of goodies. The service was great again. We felt very comfortable.

We were there for dinner today. The food was very tasty and filling. Despite the high number of guests, the staff was super friendly and attentive. The ambience is rustic and fits perfectly with the name of the location. My only criticism: We had to wait a good hour for our food, which was probably due to the high number of guests. But a challenge with a small child at the table! Nevertheless, we would love to come back!

Had a delicious brunch today. There was enough choice. I would have liked the bacon to be warmer and a little crispier, but that's just my preference. The service was very attentive and immediately took care of me when I asked for hotter coffee. We'd love to come back.

We have been to the Riverranch many times and have been mostly satisfied so far. Not this time, however. The steak was tough as leather and the other meat was fried to death. Supplements would only be brought upon request. It's a shame, we won't be coming back for the time being.

Big, loud and hearty. But that's what the Americans are like?! Fun ;) The food is great, nice staff and great ambience.

The Texas River Ranch is located somewhat remotely in the town of Leer on the edge of the Ems. We liked the atmosphere. Everything makes a clean impression and fits the theme. The staff was also friendly. Now we come to the "but"... As a precaution, we reserved a table for 7 p.m. The restaurant expressly states on its website that you should make a reservation! After we were shown to our seat, it didn't take long for them to take our drink order and bring us the menu. The order was placed relatively quickly. Then the waiting began. In total we waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food. We got our food at 8:25 p.m. In addition to the big rib burger, we also ordered spare ribs (full rack) and chicken wings. There was sweet potato fries as a side dish. Why you find the spare ribs on the appetizer menu is a mystery to me. Especially when you see the portion, which is quite large. Unfortunately you had to gnaw the meat off the ribs. There is room for improvement. The sweet potato fries, on the other hand, were very tasty. The burger tasted good. Unfortunately, the enjoyment was marred by the fact that the burgers we ordered were only lukewarm. In fact, we considered returning the burgers. However, we didn't feel like waiting ages for our food again. The restaurant actually deserves five stars. Strangely enough, our table next to us received their food within 25 minutes of the guests arriving. I also understand that freshly prepared food takes time. But waiting almost an hour and a half is too long for us. And if the food is still lukewarm, it's no fun. Too bad...

It was okay We couldn't understand the big hype. I had Spare Rips Burger, some of the meat was dry, lukewarm and I couldn't taste the barbecue sauce. Unfortunately also bone splinters. A bit careless and the fat made the bottom bread extremely soft. I can do a burger like this better at home. My wife's chicken burger was very good, but even so the meat was only lukewarm. We sat in the outer circle and it was too dark, cold and the wind was blowing. Service very nice and attentive.

Super tasty and absolutely nice staff

Very quaint and rustic furnishings. The food is really tasty, especially the fillet steaks medium fried with a very tasty roasted aroma and very tender. Portion size is absolutely sufficient and the price is absolutely right. Very friendly staff. The food was always delicious on subsequent visits too. Always my pleasure.

I was at the ribs buffet today with two other people, the food was great. Personally, the marinade on the ribs was too sweet, but that's my personal subjective opinion. The shop was very full, but I still have to praise the great service (the lady with the "bank hands"), very enthusiastic, attentive and friendly!

Why 4/5 stars. The food was really good but not the best I've ever eaten. However, I only had one menu. Like most people. I have to praise the wait staff again, very nice, helpful without being intrusive.

A restaurant in a beautiful western style.

They're there often, so I can't complain at all. Great loading, sometimes longer waiting times, but you can definitely ignore them for what you get.🤗

Ambiance is really nice, something different. Me and my colleagues' burgers were really tasty. Service was also quite friendly. BUT: Unfortunately the food was only lukewarm. And the waiting time for the food was definitely too long at 1 hour 45 minutes. We were informed about the lack of staff in the kitchen, but then perhaps fewer reservations should be accepted. The waitresses did their best, but could barely keep up with the onslaught.

Sxhade Not as good as it was a few years back. Friday evening there is usually no space without a reservation. Today many places teach. No more espresso sweets from home... From top steakhouse to a standard steakhouse. With high prices. I've been coming here since 2010... Because steak fillet is increased from 27 euros to 50 euros... It's a shame that the boss has died. 😪 it has its impact on the restaurant. And not in a good way. It's also too cold in the restaurant. It has lost its magic.

Had dinner here tonight...I already had the Nachos (not very special) and my girlfriend the Poppers Cheddar Cheese (highly recommended)...then the Billy the kid mixed grill & my girlfriend the Marshall's special... The Mixed Grill was delicious...but...I would have liked to see more than 1 sauce and maybe a piece of herb butter...the meat was perfect until I got to the spare ribs...I had to take it off the bone cutting...too bad...it's supposed to slide off...they forgot krautsalat...I didn't ask because I had enough in quantity. The Marshall' Special then...meat was perfect...my girlfriend was less pleased with the filling...a bit on the salty side...broccoli was cold and a bit tasteless...pity... The baskets of our starter were also left on the table after we had received our main course... we didn't think it was nice... Dessert...didn't have it...why not..?? Because the table was cleared and it was simply not asked... and that on a quiet Thursday evening... one of us had already finished the glass... there was no question whether we wanted anything else... Furthermore, the staff was friendly... but as far as our experience is concerned, this was just not it... we know better addresses...

A very popular location, especially among young people! The food is good, the service at the table is friendly. There are deductions for the service and the flexibility of the kitchen. Arriving at 7:50 p.m. we had to wait until 9:30 p.m. for our food! Since the restaurant was really full, we of course understood! Unfortunately we couldn't order dessert because the kitchen closes at 9:30 p.m. I think that's too early or too inflexible for a Saturday with a "full house". We would have chosen eight desserts from the menu of simple, quick-to-arrange desserts. It was very unpleasant for us that the service staff didn't make any effort to inform the kitchen in order to perhaps ensure satisfaction, because we had invited and were happy to offer our guests "more"! 😑

Everything is just right here. The restaurant is designed to make you feel like you are on a ranch. The food was delicious at a reasonable price. The service was very on the ball, asked questions and brought the ordered drinks to the table very quickly. We'll definitely be back
