I cannot give 5 stars because the kitchen was already closed an hour before the lunch break.

Unfortunately, I can't rate the food because the friendly staff informed me at 1:30 pm that the kitchen was already closed. This is a real shame, as the opening hours are advertised as being until 2:30 pm. Therefore, only 2 stars.

The restaurant was very busy, which speaks for its popularity – but it was a bit louder than usual. Despite the crowds, the service was excellent: two employees ensured that everything ran smoothly with calm, clarity, and friendliness. Orders, drinks, serving, clearing, and payment – ​​everything went quickly and well organized, without any rush. The food was delicious, and the portions – especially for a platter for two or more people – were very generous. A little more creativity in the decor, furnishings, or dishes would have given the restaurant a certain something. Overall, however, it was a very pleasant visit to a friendly, well-organized, and delicious restaurant.

Our first visit to the restaurant was our wedding anniversary. The reservation worked, we had a lovely table, and the best part came after we ordered: delicious food. My wife had gratin, and I had Indian. Both were delicious, and my Indian dish was nicely spiced. All in all, a wonderful evening with very friendly and attentive service. We'll definitely be back!

Very tasty food, attentive staff who keep an eye on things even when the restaurant is full. The parking lot is too small. But there's a large parking lot across the street.

The restaurant was busy (it was full), which probably made the noise level louder than usual. There were two waiting staff, and they were very competent, quick, and well-coordinated. Both were responsible for ordering, taking drinks, serving, clearing, washing glasses, and paying, and I have to take my hat off to them for that; it all ran smoothly and with friendliness without seeming hectic. I think there were only two or three kitchen staff at the most; I couldn't tell exactly who they were, and they seemed to be a good team too. The starters arrived just 20 minutes after ordering, and the main course another 20 minutes later. There were a few minor errors, but they were rectified immediately. The lamb fillet and the beef fillet were well-cooked and tasty; the only drawback was that there was a bit too much salt in some parts. The rump steak could have cooked a little longer; it was very raw, and the pork fillet could have used a bit less cooking. But the whole package was very tasty overall, so these are just comments and not criticisms. Because considering the amount of food, it was a really good performance, and I'm not upset about any minor errors.

I visited this Greek restaurant and was absolutely thrilled! I ordered a steak with fried potatoes – the meat was cooked to perfection, super tender and juicy. The fried potatoes were crispy and aromatically seasoned, just to my taste. The atmosphere was friendly and cozy, and the service was attentive and warm. I'll definitely be back!

We were at Saloniki last night and were absolutely thrilled! From the moment you enter, you receive a warm welcome and immediately feel like you're on vacation in Greece. The atmosphere is cozy, with thoughtful details and a typically Mediterranean flair. The food was a dream: fresh, plentiful, and wonderfully seasoned. I especially recommend the gyros and the lamb chops – perfectly grilled and very juicy. The side dishes and appetizers, such as tzatziki and grilled vegetables, were also fantastic. The service was super friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We received excellent advice, and special requests were happily accommodated. Absolutely top-notch value for money. We will definitely be back and can recommend Saloniki to anyone who wants authentic Greek food! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

The Saloniki restaurant in Leer is a real highlight for anyone who loves Greek cuisine – or wants to get to know it. I was completely thrilled! From the moment you enter, you feel welcome. The atmosphere is warm, familiar, and tastefully decorated – just the right blend of Mediterranean flair and East Frisian hospitality. The service was extremely friendly, attentive, and quick. You immediately notice that true hosts are at work here. From a culinary perspective, Saloniki absolutely impressed: The dishes were fresh, generously portioned, and prepared with love. I particularly recommend the "gyro with Metaxa sauce" or the "mixed grill" – simply delicious! The side dishes were also excellent. The value for money is more than fair, especially considering the quality and the great service. Conclusion: If you want to eat well in Leer, you should definitely stop by Saloniki. I'll definitely be back!

Definitely don't order the delicious appetizer plate if you don't want to eat that much and can't finish the main course. They'll also pack up anything you didn't finish 😉. Thank you😍

We ordered two meals for pickup. The agreed-upon time was kept. Unfortunately, the VAT discount for takeaway food was not passed on to us. There are Greek restaurants in Leer that offer this, but this one does not. The difference is in the region of 10%. The quality of the food was within the usual range for a restaurant.

We really enjoy eating out in Saloniki. The gyros baked with champion cream are particularly recommended. But everything else (I love the liver) is also recommended. Be sure to reserve a seat.

Service was nice & friendly. Unfortunately, nothing special in terms of taste. The food was rather bland and tasteless (I had the 194). However, the prices are very high (here you can easily keep up with Düsseldorf...) The interior is outdated (90s) and not up to date.

Die Bedienung war sehr kalt und nüchtern, wenn sie denn mal da war. Es wurde nach der ersten Bestellung nie nach Getränken gefragt... wobei 3€ für 0,2l schon deftig ist. Das Essen kam gerade lauwarm an den Tisch, war lieblos angerichtet. Am schlimmsten war die Fertig-Sauce. Mit Haut und Gelee Konsistenz. Total kalter Tisch an der Tür, ständig lief wer vorbei aber beachtet wurde man nicht. Die Vorspeise war noch nicht fertig aufgegessen da wurde ungefragt der Hauptgang mit auf den Tisch gestellt. Wieder auf sehr kalter Art. Scheinbar empfindet man Gäste als Störend.... Einmal und nie wieder.

The SALONIKI restaurant at Georgstrasse 18, 26789 Leer is really recommended. There are excellent "Greek and Indian" specialties with which you can score points on individual occasions. Even with their own menu for children, they didn't skimp on the furnishings, which include fountains and Tiffany lamps. With their Greek hospitality, a business meal in an appropriate setting, a family celebration or even a cozy or romantic evening for two will be a complete success. The quick, friendly service is also admirable. The operators also offer excellent PARTY SERVICES that should not be missed. Access is barrier-free, dogs are only allowed outside. For all of this, I'm happy to give it 5 stars.

What can I say...Chaotic. Service overwhelmed, wrong drinks, starters were served with main course, sometimes orders were not served. In short, it was absolutely bad. Food wasn't special either. We won't eat there anymore.

Very nicely located restaurant near the harbor. The dishes are classic, prepared quickly, taste good and are reasonably priced. The friendly staff is attentive and child-friendly. Only the way into the basement to the sanitary facility is a bit of a challenge due to the narrow space.

We've already tried a few things and they're all super tasty and fresh. The operation and service is also really great. So people highly recommended if you are in Leer and want to eat well.
