We had a very good meal here. The white cabbage salad was excellent. We also found the other salads very good. The tzatziki was superb. A lovely Greek restaurant that has been in Leer for decades.

My husband and I ate there last night, and it was the best Greek food we've ever had. The gyro, souvlaki, and minced steak were cooked to perfection. The staff are so attentive and friendly. It was a great evening, and for us, we should come back again. It's definitely a must.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend it. We ordered gyros, two with rice and one with fries. The fries were reheated and the rice was too salty. The meat was overcooked and not cooked properly. Tzatziki had to be ordered separately; we ordered it once, and were charged for three. The staff was bored...

We ended up here quite by chance. The reception and the entire service were friendly. The food was delicious overall, and above all, the portions were generous. The gyro was relatively thickly sliced. The meat was tasty and well-prepared. The salad buffet didn't quite meet our expectations: lots of convenience foods and few truly fresh items. The atmosphere was quite cozy.

It's cheap, but appropriately priced. The food is cobbled together without inspiration. It's like something from the 80s. Never again for me! The service takes some getting used to.

Too expensive for the value. Gyros almost 20 euros, with gristle and too much fat. White wine 8 euros for 0.2, and the waiter wasn't even trying to be friendly. We've seen other Greeks like that. What a shame.

Don't understand the good reviews. The giro meat was fatty and gristly, no tzatziki. Salad buffet was loveless, you could eat it, nothing more. Service ok, but what's the point if the food doesn't taste good.

The ambiance and the friendliness of the staff were great. The gyros at Metaxa tasted good, but the meat itself was unfortunately very poor quality and not tasty (grisly and fatty). The salad buffet was good, and they also had ouzo. Other dishes were better received at our table, but the two gyros at Metaxa were unfortunately a disappointment.

Bifteki a little dry. Tzatziki very tasty. Lamb too. Incredibly friendly service.

The food was very good. Unfortunately points deducted for the service, although very friendly. But it was extremely disruptive as the service staff walked up and down and waited to finally clear away. That doesn't work at all.

Really good food. Nicely prepared and really tasty. There are cozy seating areas. Good location to "go out for a delicious meal." Service was nice, but they could sell more drinks if the glass levels were more carefully monitored. Nevertheless: clear recommendation!

We're not regulars, but we still come here every now and then for good Greek food. You are always welcomed warmly and served quickly and easily. The salad buffet is also nice, where you can put your own salad together. There is also dessert!!!

My “root Greek” for years. Always delicious, large portions and great staff. Very comfortable since the renovation a few years ago. When we want to be sure of getting good food at a reasonable price, we go here and have never been disappointed.

How this restaurant gets such good reviews is a mystery to me. The most important thing for me is always the food. And that was edible, nothing more. I've never had such a salty tzatziki. Exactly the same with the liver. Nice thin slices and not chewy. But too much salt... In addition, there is no tzatziki in the dishes, I know that differently. The portion size is good and the staff was friendly.

When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and escorted to our reserved table. The menu was already on the table, so we could immediately start choosing the food. The drinks we ordered were served to us promptly. The food was very tasty and the service was very friendly. The salad buffet was rich and tasty. The ambience was very appealing. So I have to say that the selection of the restaurant was a complete success and we are already looking forward to the next visit.8(and if necessary, The Greek restaurant Dionysos is highly recommended. As usual, the food and service was TOP, but the price bears no relation to the portion size. Unfortunately, we left the restaurant with a growling stomach, even though we had ordered two main courses... What a shame

The food was great and very tasty. The quick and friendly service was also positive. However, it is quite narrow there and there is hardly any space between the chairs. The fact that you have to put together and get the salad yourself is a matter of taste. I didn't think it was bad, but there could be a bit more salad selection. Nevertheless, very tasty food and, apart from the narrowness, a great ambience.

Hi, pictures will come after my next visit, which won't be long in coming... I/we ate there for the second time today. The first time was delicious, so we thought that a second time would be easy. Super nice staff, extensive selection, DELICIOUS... There are salads with every meal, which you can put together according to your own wishes at a salad/side dish bar... There is even a separate area for smokers, separated from the rest by a discreet glass wall is. In short, if you like Greek cuisine, this restaurant is a good choice. Of course there is also something for pasta fans, but mostly Greek cuisine. People who like to eat liver will also get their money's worth there. I have been there both times with my wife and a friend. We were completely taken care of, from starters to dessert. There were also delicious wines. I'll have more to say there later, as I'd like to try it out myself first... maybe one or the other will have more to say about it... See you soon, Sven

The portions are a joke. The liver could hardly be skewered with a fork, it was so thin. This for €20.5, so you can also increase your profit. In any case, you won't get tired of it. When we ordered we were also told that we could help ourselves from the salad buffet. No sooner said than done... But you should really put something on your plate, because if you think... the white beans weren't bad, I'll have some more... Be careful, you'll pay for the second time!!! Then on the bill it says… “small salad buffet €6.5”. And we really didn't take much. So you are being watched very closely!!! Then you should honestly say beforehand, please only take it once, otherwise it will cost extra!!!!! Unfortunately we only noticed this after we had already paid. So we went back to the already disinterested waiter and asked in a friendly manner... The only answer that came back was that he was watching us and the discussion was over... Unfortunately, the typical Greek spices are also missing. In summary you could say it as: Call it a tourist rip-off. Unfortunately, you won't find Greek hospitality here.

Apparently I was here once before 6 years ago... Obviously nothing has changed since then, the food is still excellent and plentiful. The salad bar was awesome!!! I really liked the atmosphere, you immediately felt like you were on a Greek island. The staff was very friendly and accommodating Since I briefly mentioned on the phone that I wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary with my wife, we were congratulated on the same when we arrived. I thought it was a very nice gesture Customer service is important here. Therefore still 5 out of 5 stars

I had a stuffed minced steak that was very tasty, but the portion was just not enough for a child for an adult. The same thing happened to my friends with their dish. If you don't like salad, you definitely won't be full. Price/performance ratio is not good at all. It's a shame

There was delicious food at the Greek restaurant today. An important plus: there is still something delicious on the fork in the evening after 8:30 p.m.... and the guest doesn't get the impression that it's a bother (as in several other restaurants that close the kitchen after 8:00 p.m.) but that you are is warmly welcomed and warmly served. Did I say it was delicious? Ok, then I'll repeat myself... 😉
