Good food and atmosphere, but really bad service. I asked if they can recommend something, he said he don’t know. I asked if I can order half portion of the fried mushrooms with half price, he said yes, but later charge me with the full price. Feel sad a good restaurant got ruined by the bad quality of service and this bad German attitude.

The steak was good not the best quality but the service was great and the staff was wonderful.

Small family run place with almost-texmex dishes, certainly worth a visit for the atmosphere and the home made food. OK, yes, it could be better, "hot" is only hot for Germans, and there's a heavy germanised influence on the mainly meat-based menu, but the margaritas are strong, the staff are nice, the prices are OK, and it's not some franchise from a corporation.

There are vegetarian dishes, I really liked my dish.

It's not Mex, Tex or Tex Mex. Shame and false advertising! When you see Tex Mex and people only talk about their burgers, you know something is incredibly wrong. The rice in the enchiladas was plain white, the meat had some German "Mexican" seasoning from Penny probably. It came with some kind of German mayo and lettuce salad... Not salsa and lettuce, not guac and lettuce, just plain old German salad. The nachos are not nachos, they are tortilla chips. Someone needs to explain to Germans that just a little melted cheese on top doesn't make it nachos. There was no salsa or spice anywhere to be seen, no life, no point. Tex Mex should mean a punch in the mouth with flavor, huge portions, and frozen margaritas... This was sad.

Best Mexican in town. We have eaten there several times and have always been impressed. Great value for money, although the portions cost a little more, you are more than full. Some dishes are also suitable for vegetarians. We'd love to come back

Not the most authentic tacos I have had. Also I asked the waitress if I can take one taco as take away, and when they served, I saw one Taco has the sauce, one has the meat, and one has the salad. So it was not possible to eat half of the dish :)

Tex-Mex offers a cozy yet lively atmosphere with a menu full of flavorful favorites like sizzling fajitas and hearty burritos. I had the Mexican steak which was excellent. Generous portions and excellent drink selection is a stand out. Service is friendly, though occasionally slow during peak hours. Perfect for casual dining and festive gatherings.

Very good and cheap food! Fast, courteous and friendly service. We were completely satisfied, it couldn't be better. Tip: try the strawberry margarita!

Absolutely loved it. Stopped in spontaneously and were anything but disappointed. Not only were the steaks very inexpensive due to their happy hour, they also tasted great and the Margherita pitcher was also first class. There's nothing to complain about the service, they were super friendly and chilled and everything we ordered was at the table in no time. If I lived in Berlin, this would be my new local bar. Great!

Unfortunately there aren't many Mexicans in Berlin (besides the chains). So I'm always happy to catch one. And it’s super tasty here too! The prices are of course based on Friedrichstrasse prices. But the plate is full. And as I said, really tasty. I'd love to come back

If you love Mexican food, this is the place for you. Nice restaurant, nice service, great food. Spare ribs are becoming increasingly rare and they were really tasty. I'll definitely go there again.

Food quality is very very bad. The service is fast and people are nice but I couldn't finish what I was eating. I ordered an enchilada with Rindfleisch and the meat was poor quality, just mixed with rice, no sauce. The flavor was strange. Also we sit next to the street and on top there are train tracks and it's very noisy.

During our last vacation, we were looking for a place to have dinner when we stumbled upon a Mexican restaurant. We were a little surprised that no one spoke Spanish; It's like entering a cider house and they don't know how to say "puxa". But, since they were very kind, we decided to stay. The first detail that we liked was that they brought us a letter in Spanish. Point for them! Mexican food, however, was a bit peculiar. The tacos and enchiladas had rice, something we had never tried, as if someone had decided to make a fusion between Mexico and the menu of an Asturian chigre. But we have to admit that the food was delicious. We ordered some chicken wings. We didn't know they were typical in Mexico, but hey, we were in for a good surprise; They were delicious. The margaritas, yes, had less alcohol than a nun's party, but they were very tasty anyway. In short, it is a good option if you are in the area and don't mind that the "Mexican" is more of a free version. Of course, they could improve the atmosphere with some Mexican music or something like that, because the place was duller than a cloudy day in the Asturian mountains with no view of the horizon.

The steak 400gr was great. Unfortunately, the dip already had some skin on it, but that wasn't really important. Nevertheless, unreservedly recommended. Addition after many years, still as good as before. Nothing to complain about.

Was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the food! Nachos and quesadilla were great. Ribs weren’t meaty enough but what was on it tasted good. Outdoor area was quite noisy with trains etc

Very solid steak and fine enchiladas with delicious guacamole, frozen margarita was great and Duckstein on tap anyway. Service was great, attentive, quick and always with a smile. Have passed by here many times and will definitely go in more often now.

Absolutely recommended, the price-quantity ratio is correct, the dishes are good and served quickly, super nice and helpful staff, they offered us a copy of the menu in Italian, helping us with the choice. We were also served free Mexican hot sauces and wet hand wipes. I ordered a chicken enchilada, served a huge plate with a side of salad and guacamole, spending around €16, if I had to make just one small note, with typical Mexican dishes, and therefore spicy, a 0.25ml water €3 made me enjoy the meal less... but otherwise very good!

The fried mushrooms here are a must. However, the portion size has decreased significantly compared to before. Steak is also highly recommended!! If you ask for spicy sauce, they will give it to you haha.

I can't rate the food, but what I saw on the other guests' plates looked very good. And the prices are absolutely OK. The atmosphere is rustic but very appropriate and cool. The service is super nice - there's no other way to say that. Go in and take a look.

The best Mexican restaurant! Mushroom is so amazing

The food and drink was decent and tasty. The service was quick and attentive. An unpleasant smell occasionally came from the nearby bridge outside. For only cash payment and no invoice the price was quite high.

My colleague and I had dinner here today. The young man with a cap was very friendly, funny and attentive, he even noticed the flies in my beer and changed it. The food was inexpensive for Friedrichstrasse and very tasty. My recommendation are the nachos with shrimp. We ate outside with blankets. Very pleasant. Maybe next time more choice of 🍸 would be the cherry on the cake. Come again. Thank you very much 👍

Between the appointment at the train station and over to the Berliner Ensemble, it's the perfect hangout. Chilled audience. And you can meet other people from Hanover, haha. No special view, just great to wait for someone in a relaxed manner. Really good chili with diced meat and not just minced meat. Delicious beer. A host who, after decades of gastronomy, still wants to chat with the guests.🥰 Thank you👍 That something like this still exists. Definitely coming back. Everyone else in service was also very accommodating.

A small Mexican restaurant in a class of its own, with good food, great ambience and friendly service. The stylish cocktails are highly recommended.

So we had two burgers and they were the two worst we've eaten so far. The buns are not typical for burgers but okay. The “meat” felt like rubber in the mouth and lacked any proper seasoning or good taste, not even the sauce could save it. We thought burgers weren't bad. We were definitely taught better, and all of this at a relatively high price of €14.50.

Found the place when looking for restaurants this is a 5 star I would walk past this place but after stopping the food and service is more than 100% very big portions food was lovely cash only when we were hear give it a go

Today we had an occasion and visited the restaurant! The service is perfect, but the food was an absolute disaster, unfortunately it has nothing to do with Mexican cuisine!!!

Unfortunately nothing special. Typical tourist place. Food is very bland. Price-performance is not given here. But the staff is super friendly and attentive.

I really enjoy going here and enjoying the lunch menu. Everything fresh and tasty. A very friendly and attentive service rounds off the positive overall result. In summer you can sit outside and relax, there is plenty of space. There isn't quite as much space inside, but it is more comfortable.

Very cool spot we just happened to find. The whole street was poppin that night, found Tex-Mex and had a great meal. I got the chicken quesadilla (for being so far from Mexico, they came pretty close) and my brother got a steak and baked potato. Sat outside on the terrace and was a pleasant environment for eating and people watching in Berlin.

We have been coming here for several years when we are in Berlin and have always been very satisfied. Nice service, fair prices and a multi-cultural audience. The food is delicious and the portions are absolutely filling! We love the soup with avocado 🥑 and chicken...The frozen margarita is also recommended 😋. Oh yes - don't forget cash, cards are not accepted!

I was lured into the store by chance. My nephew and I were very impressed by the quality and service. The steak 🥩 we ordered was very satisfactory. Maredo from Charlottenstraße can't hold a candle to you. My nephew would like to come back and unfortunately I live too far away. It's difficult to find good shoes that fit our size. It was an honor for me.

30 years ago I was stationed in Texas. As a result, my expectations were high. Since my memory of the names of the dishes was rusty, I asked the friendly waitress to help me. I chose chicken enchiladas 🍗 and was not disappointed. They were just as spicy🌶️ without overpowering the taste of the other ingredients or the melted cheese🧀. If that's not spicy enough for you, you can spice up your meal with 3 different pepper sauces. By chance 3 guests came who were probably Mexican. The waitress actually spoke a little Spanish to them. So my impression was even better. 2nd visit, order the mini steak 🥩 from the daily menu for 14.50. Medium ordered and received. Nice meat juice also came out. Rounded off with fries and a mini salad it would have been worth a good €5 more

Etwas teuer, aber dafür ist der Service top. War hier mit meinem grenzdebilen Bruder der ein Glass kaputt gemacht hat, die Bedienung hat super nett reagiert und ging ansonsten auch auf alle Wünsche ein.

It's a decent place with good food. I loved the corn on the cop. They are 5 Stars. The tacos and the baked potato where ok, therefore for me three stars. I didn't like that they haven't really prepared the tacos. And because of their setup I wasn't able to prepare them myself. I like to put the stuff inside the taco. Usually: meat, salad, sauce cheese or meat, sauce, salad, cheese. And then I can lift them end eat them with my hands. That wasn't possible with their version. So it was more like nachos with tacos instead of nachos. But the tase was ok. The baked potato was a good size portion, but nothing specials. But the corn on the cop was really nice. Therefore 4 stars instead of 3. Drinks were ok was well (hot mojito and hot lemon) The place itself looks ok. They have a giant bathroom area at the top floor. The same size as the whole restaurant.

The staffs were very friendly, the waiter even suggested my friend to only take one quesadilla, because of the size of the portions. Very appreciated! Das Tex-Mex in Berlin lohnt sich sehr. Das Restaurant zeichnet sich neben seinem guten essen und äußerst gut angepassten Ambiente zur Kulinarik durch einen sehr freundliches und offenes Personal aus. Der Standort in U-Bahn nähe und unweit des Roten Rathaus macht sehr leicht auffindbar. Das Restaurant ist sehr offen und tolerant gegenüber seiner internationalen Kundschaft.

Geweldige, gezellige tent waar je voor een mooie prijs erg goed kan eten. De bediening is erg enthousiast en kunnen goed Engels. Een echte aanrader als je in Berlijn bent!

The differentiator between restaurants is how the staff and owner meet, greet and treat you. Carlsen is simply the best. He is witty, solicitous and a bundle of energy. After a long walk along Berlin entered this tex mex restaurant and were warmly greeted by Carlsen. We took our time ordering fries, garlic bread, masala chai or spiced tea, hot chocolate, wheat beer. The main course were tostadas and quesadillas. They tasted delicious.

I visited this place with a friend yesterday and we like it so much. Hearty meal, good atmosphere and beautiful design (tematic place). Flawless service, they were careful all the time. Moreover, they trying speak Spanish and this act in a foreing place is grateful. 100% recommended

server was very rude and overly familiar, you get these once in a while racist middle aged middle class german shmucks who forget their boundaries when the skin color has an unaccustomed shade. place is way too cramped and has uncomfortable seating. food was ok though.

Nettes kleines Restaurant direkt an der Friedrichstraße. Innen gibt es nicht so viele Tische aber im Sommer kann man auch draußen sitzen. Essen war ganz gut, allerdings fand ich meine Nachos etwas trocken weil nur die oberen Nachos mit Käse bedeckt waren und die Portion war etwas klein. Bedienung war freundlich.

Laden sieht nett und gemütlich aus. Leider konnten wir dort nicht Speisen weil es nach wie vor noch Restaurants gibt die nicht im Heute angekommen sind und keine Kartenzahlung anbieten. Und das in einer überwiegend touristisch geprägten Gegend. Das kannst du dir heute nicht mehr erlauben. Daher noch sehr nett gemeinte 3 Sterne fürs Ambiente. Service aus genannten Gründen schlecht, Essen ohne Bewertung.

Wir waren heute zur Happy Houre dort essen. 300 gr. Steak mit Pommes zu fairen Preisen. Ambiente ist echt urig. Kleiner Laden wenige Sitzplätze aber schöner Laden. Nur Cash only.

The steak was perfect and the atmosphere was friendly and cosy. The furniture could be more suitable for a restaurant rather than a bar. Apart from the uncomfy chairs, it was a nice restaurant to spend time in. I'd definitely go there more in the future. And it was also reasonably priced 👌🏼
