The dips were missing for both the Nachos (a free item that comes with the special for two – and actually the main reason I ordered that special) as well as for the Empanadas. I contacted Wolt support, who initially only wanted to refund the dips. In my eyes, that’s not an acceptable solution, because I didn’t order food to eat dry Empanadas or Nachos without dips. Wolt then said they would reach out to Machete Burrito to clarify the situation — and now I’ve been told that the restaurant claims the dips were packed. That’s simply not true. It’s also the third consecutive time that something was missing from my order — usually dips or Nachos. To me, this is unacceptable. I didn’t lie, I just reported what was missing — and instead of acknowledging a mistake and making it right, the restaurant basically accuses the customer of lying. Mistakes happen — we’re all human — but taking responsibility is the bare minimum in a service business. I will not be ordering again — not via Wolt, not for takeout, and not in person — and I’ll be sharing this experience with anyone who mentions Machete Burrito to me. This kind of customer treatment is something people should be aware of.

Super tasty veggie options, unpretentious place with friendly staff, I recommend!

At Machete Berlin, I rediscovered my love for classic Mexican food! The food, service, and atmosphere are truly excellent. A small place that invites you to come back and try everything on the menu! Their cocktails are delicious! Thank you for this culinary oasis! We'll be back!

I went to Machete to play music and ended up having an incredible experience as a diner. The atmosphere is warm and authentic, with a vibe that transports you straight to Mexico. The flavors are incredible, well-crafted, and with a lot of heart in every dish. Plus, the staff was super friendly and attentive. It's an ideal place to enjoy good food and good music. Highly recommended!

We've ordered from here several times over the past few years. Unfortunately, the quality and taste of the food varies greatly. Sometimes it tastes incredibly good, and then again, like today, really not good. We ordered, among other things, a chili sin carne burrito and a port wine mushroom quesadilla. There was hardly any chili sin carne in the burrito and it was all so runny that the sauce kept dripping out. The quesadilla had smoked tofu and maybe five pieces of mushrooms. Why? It doesn't say that anywhere online and we didn't think the smoked tofu was very tasty. It's also possible that someone with a legume allergy orders it and then smoked tofu is added without warning. It wasn't like that before either. Also, the grated cheese wasn't runny at all. I'd love to give our meal today 0 stars, but since it tastes really good every now and then, I'm giving it 3 overall. It would be great if you were a bit more consistent with the food quality.

I stopped going to Machete years ago due to the drop in quality, but due to hunger and location happened upon there after some years. The burrito I had yesterday was incredible, Machete is back! Prices are a bit high, but worth it for the quality and makes sense for the kiez. Not sure what changed, but I’m glad it did. Felt like eating a homemade burrito from back home. Can only recommend!

The food was okay. Nothing spectacular. €15.50 for a burrito that isn't particularly big... not really justified in my opinion. The chili was delicious, and for €10, you can't complain.

The burrito portions are too small for the high price. Also packaged in such a way that you can hardly eat the burrito without making a mess because all the ingredients fall out when you eat it. The taste of the burrito was ok at best.

Small authentic Mexican restaurant with lots of vegetarian/vegan options

Mishba Ostkreu station is better and gives you more for your money. I bought a chicken and another beef burrito and costs 29e and the size was ridiculous like seriously. Tast average the only thing authentic here is the music they play indoors Shame!

The 🌯 “Chimichurichicken” arrived after a few minutes. Because there are so many ingredients in the 🌯, it unfortunately tasted very bland. A few tacos were also served, which had a more intense taste. When I ordered, the waitress asked me if I wanted jalapenos, I said no in both German and English, but there were jalapenos in my 🌯. Unfortunately it was a bit disappointing for me. The price for a 🌯 and a beer is not bad either at €16.80.

Our food (burritos and nachos with dip) was excellent & the service staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Also worth mentioning is the large vegetarian/vegan selection.

The food delivered was generally quite tasty, but unfortunately not complete. You order dinner for the family, look forward to the evening together and then one dish is missing. So call the restaurant and complain. Answer: It cannot be delivered later, after all there is a lot to do and Lieferando cannot be reached to order a driver (but perhaps it is simply too expensive?). Solution? Please complain to Lieferando. When I order food, I want to eat something and I want everyone to be able to eat something and not just half the family. Money back is not compensation. I expect more effort to correct my own mistake. For the employee on the phone, the case seemed to be over after we hung up, but for us it was a family dinner gone wrong.

It was my first time here and definitely not the last time! Great, helpful service who clearly enjoys her job. The food tasted great and the quantity was completely sufficient. There were three of us and we each had 1 burrito and a total of 2 nachos for the table. Each of us was thrilled! 😊

I can only recommend Machete! The food was super tasty and very filling. There is a large selection of food and drinks at very reasonable prices. The ambience is good. You can sit on beer benches outside in front of the shop and there are also some seats inside. Pleasant Mexican music plays in the background (fortunately the songs don't always have the same typical Mexican rhythm). And of course there are pictures of Machete Cortez hanging in the store. I wish Machete Berlin had more space. Then they could offer even more places. That would only be a blessing for the team. (Maybe it will work with a food truck at some point) The waitress was super friendly and in a good mood (dancing behind the counter). She also responded to special requests when ordering. All in all a great experience! Whether in Wuhlheide or here in the store, Machete's food is super tasty and very filling

Excellent food, great variety of burritos, if you are vegan or vegetarian or you like meat, here you can find the option that suits you best. The taste of the food is excellent, the nachos are very delicious and perfect to share, but the staff was all very good and professional, Jesús and Angie helped us and served us in a very pleasant way :)

Hey vegans, try the store! Really. I've eaten there four times now and it's always been great. Unfortunately not completely vegan, but the selection is sufficient and a great compromise to have something good to eat with your omnivore friends before the pub crawl.

One of the best burritos I've ever tried, they have a wide variety of toppings for both carnivore, vegan and vegetarian.

Every time I'm in Berlin I eat at Machete. Service and food are always 1A. Tried the Chimichuri Chicken Burrito recently and it was really tasty. I always take the Gösser Radler, it's not available everywhere and for me it's the best Radler. Everything is great!

Small & cozy restaurant and typically Friedrichshain a mix of many influences - the owner is an original Berlin plant, the kitchen staff comes from all over South America. Their own burrito creations are delicious and the Mexican lager is brewed in Berlin - if you're open to that, you can eat great here.

We loved the burritos!!! The best we have tried in years!! We were a group, they treated us and advised us very well, even the vegan in the group loved it, so she ordered the "TnT". I am the "laconchadetumadre" super good...I recommend it 100% if you go to Berlin.

The restaurant made false statements regarding allergens/allergy. I asked 3 times during the ordering process (also in English) whether anything in my order contained nuts. This was always clearly denied. I ended up in the hospital with a life-threatening condition. The notice that ALL vegan burritos are not nut-free is written under the vegan burritos and is small in gray. Made no response to my email which is totally unacceptable after getting sick from their food! The fact that an employee can read this after going through the menu of burritos, gratinated vegan nanchos and salsa verde dip several times, when asked “is the vegan cheese also nut-free” was answered in the affirmative. Misleading.

This is not Mexican food, but culturally appropriated American Tex-Mex food, which is sold to us in the West as authentic Mexican (mass-produced and adapted to the European palate) cuisine! Burritos, nachos and chile con carne are dishes invented by Americans living in the southern US states and have absolutely nothing to do with Mexico (real chili and real burritos also look completely different) Please do yourself a favor and don't let yourself be taken for a ride, okay? My country Mexico has so much more and better to offer

Very tasty burritos for a reasonable price.

We ordered catering for our party - perfect decision! The dips, the soup, the little cakes and the burritos were extremely well received by our guests. My personal highlight was actually the sweet potato curry soup, I'll be dreaming about that for a while. Others would like recipes for the dips... The catering was very generous in terms of quantity, there was plenty of everything left over, which isn't a bad thing since you usually don't feel like cooking after the party. Our conclusion: both on site and the catering are absolutely recommended!!!

The burritos are really not that great. They also arrived cold. The nachos were pretty tasteless and the “free dip” guacamole was honestly enough for maybe 10 nachos 😅

The burritos were good. I would have liked more minced meat in my Chilli con Carne Buritto. Unfortunately there was only one of them in there. Nachos with cheese as a starter were solid, lots of cheese. Drinks were also tasty. Service was friendly.

Very tasty and doesn't cost much. I found it exciting that the invoice can be sent by email upon request. Finally in F'hain you can get good Mexican and, if you wish, vegan food. Unfortunately, the shop is a bit too small to just linger.

We had the food delivered to the street brewery. The Holy Moly Burrito is an absolute delight. A full tortilla with a pleasant spiciness!

So if you want a burrito and haven't been to Machete yet, you should go there quickly. There are a variety of more or less good Mexican snack bars and restaurants in Fhain. And everyone has their specialty. Machete has perfected the burrito. This has its price and you shouldn't expect a restaurant but a small snack bar with big food. But it's very worth it. Vegan options, nice staff. Only the toilet is missing. But you can go to another restaurant next door.

Machete provided delightfully yummy catering for a work event. Extremely smooth communication including great advice and guidance on ordering for a larger group. Machete offered a drop off and pick up service which was extremely helpful. Presentation of dips and sauces was very cute and everything was well labeled. The vegan options were a hit! All bellies were very happy. Looking forward to next time!

We enjoyed ordering there often, but unfortunately this time the food arrived really, really cold. During a conversation with an employee, they said that they had done it as usual and that she couldn't change anything anymore. Annoyed groans included… I know service differently!

Simply the hottest burritos in Berlin! From normal 🌱 to carnivorous (who needs it) Always fresh, always delicious, very well filled - and if you want, nice and spicy too. I just can't recommend the empanadas in terms of quantity - only 2 for the money and still hungry.

The burritos and quesadillas are very well served. There is a wide selection between vegetarian, vegan or meat filling. If you like spicy there are several sauces up to dragon sauce level! 👌🏾 The staff is very friendly and kind. They have good music and they prepare the Margaritas and Micheladas very well. My winning burrito was the Black Mamba and TNT. Sehr Lecker! 🤤

Rather average burritos and quesadillas. The nachos were slightly better. The Corona beer came without lime. Conclusion: There are much better "Mexican" snacks in the neighborhood...

The baked nachos taste strange. Whole grain-like, the cheese tastes bland. There's caraway in the guacamole - ugh. The vegan burrito bowl was ok, but by no means as amazing as the many reviews here. The salsa roja and the vegan sour cream simply don't taste good either. Price performance and quality are out of proportion. :/

I asked for a vegetarian quesadillas and got a complementary sauce of my choice for free on top. I was skeptical about using feta cheese instead of eg. cheddar but it tasted great.

The worst Mexican food I have ever ordered online. The vegan burrito with chorizo ​​had little consistency and only tasted like cheap jalapeños. The two classic quesadillas were filled with tasteless, cheap mozzarella cheese, tomatoes and canned corn. The taste was totally watery and some of the cheese wasn't even really melted.

Dishes take 10-15 minutes to prepare. Always happy with the taste. For me, burritos are the perfect size and quantity for a good meal. Nachos fresh and salted with various dips to choose from. Staff are always nice and there for you quickly.

The food didn't arrive completely, a burrito was missing. Even after calling to clarify this, no help was given and false promises were made. The food that arrived wasn't that tasty either and the delivery time and price weren't worth it. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with this restaurant, even though the selection sounded very good.

Essen lecker, Preise überhaupt nicht realistisch! Für Fastfood Quesadillas 14€, was überall eine Vorspeise ist und meistens nicht mehr als 7-8€ kostet. Also wie gesagt, service Personal sehr nett, essen lecker, Preise utopisch. Für ein Burrito 15€ ist schon echt heftig und das auf einem leeren Teller ohne Dekoration.

Sadly, a part of our order was forgotten, eating Mexican food without dip is kind of pointless. The waitress didn't really seem to care and smoked outside...

Prices are normal for Berlin (9-12€ per burrito), the vibe is fast food but you can sit outside to have a bit of a patio vibe! Food is good.

Habe dort früher täglich gegessen, aber Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt einfach überhaupt nicht mehr. Preise wie im Restaurant für 2goFood. Im Azafram 30m weiter rechts kostet der Burrito zwischen 8-10€ & ist viel besser und die sehen mir da auch nicht nach Sklaventreibern aus & der Laden ist sogar größer.

Super leckere Burritos, wir waren zu viert und alle waren richtig satt und die Frische Zubereitung hat uns überzeugt. Wenn wir Quesadillas oder tortillias wollen, nur noch hier ;-),

Mega leckere vegane Burritos. Mein Favorit ist der Black mamba 😍 es gibt ein paar Sitzplätze draußen und etwas drinnen Platz. Lieferung ist über Wolt sogar bis nach Lichtenberg möglich.

They didn't have a burrito that I wanted. Their house made milk drink is a little disgusting. The woman at the register offered us mineral water and it turned out to be 3€ (I thought it was tap water for free). The quality is acceptable but don't wait for anything extraordinary.
