Whenever we travel to Rügen, we always make sure to visit Antje. With heart, charm, and a whole lot of love, she runs a culinary haven here. Regional coastal cuisine, delicious cakes, and fantastic fish sandwiches. There's practically no time of day when you can't pop into the Tennisstübchen. The view of the sea or the Göhren hillside is stunning. Parking is available right at the restaurant. It's simply wonderful here.

Unfortunately, there is no longer a tennis court.

The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. The waitresses are very friendly and attentive, but the waiter remains expressionless. This restaurant is highly recommended.

The owner is very nice and funny. The staff is very nice and friendly. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is lovely. I would gladly give it more stars, but unfortunately, I can't.

The food was great, we had a quiet spot in the corner with a sea view. We had the steamed cod. It was incredibly moist, but unfortunately, no side dish changes were possible for adults. Otherwise, it was very good value for money.

I don't even want to recommend it, because they're so good and I'm afraid I won't get a table. Lovely, family-run atmosphere, super friendly service, and the food is top-notch. That's all I'll say, otherwise everyone will want to go. 😉

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I've been coming to the Tennisstübchen in Göhren for several years now, and I ate there again this year. My impression is always the same: Antje and her team go above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome, well taken care of, and completely at ease. The Tennisstübchen isn't just any old restaurant; it's a genuine family business with history, heart, and personality. This place has been a fixture on Göhren's north beach for decades; today, it's run by Antje, the second generation to do so. You can immediately tell that this isn't just a restaurant; it's a place where a lot of personal dedication, family history, and a real connection to the town go into it. That's precisely what gives it its special charm. The atmosphere is pleasantly relaxed, cozy, and welcoming. The service is attentive and friendly without being stiff or forced. You don't feel rushed, but rather truly valued as a guest. Even when it's busy, the service remains friendly and personal. This kind of hospitality is sadly no longer a given. The Tennisstübchen also impresses with its cuisine. The menu offers a nice selection of regional dishes, fresh Baltic Sea fish, soups, salads, and classic favorites. I particularly appreciate that everything is freshly cooked and sourced from local producers. This is a perfect fit for a restaurant just steps from the beach. My fish platter was not only very generous but also exceptionally attractively presented: several differently prepared fish fillets, fried potatoes, herb butter, remoulade, and a small fresh side dish. The fish was succulent, perfectly cooked, and delicious. The presentation was also a real treat – down-to-earth and not at all uninspired. They also offer a selection of delicious wines that perfectly complement the meal. What I always want to emphasize is the excellent value for money. The portions are substantial, the quality is excellent, the food is attractively presented, and the prices remain remarkably fair. Especially in a touristy spot right by the beach, and in times of rising prices, inflation, and tighter budgets, this is by no means a given. The Tennisstübchen is a place I love to return to because of the delicious food, the cozy atmosphere, the family history, and above all, because of Antje and her dedicated team. Here you can feel the passion, the down-to-earth nature, and the genuine joy they find in interacting with people. An unqualified recommendation and a well-deserved five stars. We went there at the end of our Pentecost holiday. We had read beforehand that reservations were recommended. When I called, I spoke to the owner. She was friendly, humorous, and nice on the phone. When we arrived, there was a birthday party taking place in part of the restaurant. We had been informed in advance that this would mean a wait. With an appetizer to start, the wait wasn't noticeable. We sat right at the counter, where all the delicious culinary creations had to pass by. I was amazed at how much food, so temptingly presented, was served in such a short time. I also had a nice view into the kitchen. Although, in some apartments, the kitchen could be bigger. Despite the large quantity of food being served, everything was neat and clean. Once our culinary masterpieces were on the table, we realized we had made a big mistake! We had gone there on the last day of our holiday; otherwise, we would have been there almost every day. We managed to enjoy our time there so much that we ended up being the second-to-last guests. If I didn't have to travel over 570 km to get there, we would become regulars. From the outside, it looks rather unassuming, but once you manage to get a table, all is right with the world. The friendly, pleasant, and humorous welcome on the phone continued throughout the entire evening.

We ate there on April 29th, 2023. I ordered schnitzel with mushrooms, which tasted good until I had to throw up 30 minutes later, and then twice more later. That was my first day of vacation. 🥵

A definite recommendation in Göhren! If you're looking for a cozy atmosphere and good food, the Tennisstübchen is the perfect place. You can immediately tell that this is a family-run business with heart – the service was exceptionally friendly and attentive. We opted for the classic "Strammer Max" (open-faced sandwich with ham and egg) and the breaded schnitzel. Both dishes were freshly prepared and tasted fantastic. The prices are also perfectly reasonable, offering excellent value for money. We also really liked the ambiance: there's a cozy dining room for cooler days and a lovely terrace for outdoor seating. A clear recommendation from us!

Da das Tennisstübchen an sich einen guten Ruf hat, waren wir gestern zum Abendessen dort. Fast alle waren aber zum Schluss überhaupt nicht satt - kein Wunder bei den überaus übersichtlichen Portionen!

Wir sind in jedem Urlaub im Tennisstübchen mehrmals essen. Es war bisher alles super. Der Service, das Essen und auch der leckere Kuchen. Wir sind im September wieder da und freuen uns schon drauf.

Wir verbringen jedes Jahr unseren Urlaub auf Rügen. Und jedes Jahr nach der Ankunft ging es zum Tennisstüchen. Leider mussten wir dieses Jahr feststellen das Freitag und Samstag die Gaststätte nicht geöffnet ist. Das ist sehr schade. Bei allen Verständnis aber gerade an den Anreisetagen so eine schöne Gaststätte nicht zu öffnen finde ich nicht gut.

Eines der besten Restaurants in Göhren. Wir waren 3 mal dort und wurden immer herzlich empfangen. Der Service ist Spitze, genauso wie das Ambiente. Man hat sich gleich heimisch gefühlt. Die Gerichte sind super frisch, egal ob Fisch oder sonstiges Essen. Für jeden Gaumen was dabei und die Preise sind angemessen. Wir wünschen dem Team auch weiterhin erfolgreiche Saison und werden die guten Eindrücken mit nach Thüringen nehmen. Vielen Dank!

Nettes und empfehlenswertes familiengeführtes Restaurant in Göhren. Sehr freundlicher Service und wirklich kurze Wartezeit auf das bestellte Essen. Leider sind wir enttäuscht vom Tennisstübchen, das Essen (Hamburger Schnitzel ) war nicht mit Leidenschaft angerichtet. Das bekommt man auch woanders am Kiosk. Vor Jahren war es top 👍 mit Leber, Eisbein aber jetzt nur noch der Urlauber wird schon kommen. Beim den Mixgetränken muss man noch üben erst Glas füllen dann Eis drauf Aporol Spritz war Wasser und das für viel Geld!!! Schade ein bisschen mehr beim Liebe zur Gastronomie wäre schön, das Personal ist sehr gut.

Das Essen war sehr schön angerichtet, hat super geschmeckt und wir hatten eine aufmerksame, super nette Bedienung. Unbedingt Nachtisch bestellen!

Ursprünglich wollten wir in einem anderen Restaurant essen gehen - dieses schließte jedoch schon vor der Abendbrotszeit. Zuerst war ich enttäuscht - im Nachhinein sage ich: "Gott sei Dank!", denn somit sind wir hier im Tennisstübchen gelandet und ich muss sagen: volle Punktzahl. Freundliche Bedienung, gutes Essen -> Preis / Leistung passt. Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen. Und wir sehen uns auch bald wieder. Besten Dank und bis bald. 🍀

Sehr gemütlich. So stell ich mir das vor, Chefin und Personal sehr freundlich, Essen super. Ambiente so wie man es erwartet. Mittags auch eine Kleinigkeit zum Essen. Einfach ein tolles Lokal. Reservieren umbedingt erforderlich.

Ein kleiner geführter Familienbetrieb, wo auch Unioner:) willkommen sind. Direkt neben einen Tennisplatz gelegen, kann man hier Kaffee trinken und selbstgebackenen Kuchen essen. Wir waren zum Abendessen hier und es war ein kulinarischer Genuss. Die Sülze und das Hamburger Schnitzel waren super lecker, Portionen völlig ausreichend und der Preis mehr als in Ordnung. Die Inhaberin und das Servicepersonal waren sehr zuvorkommend. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

MEGA !!! Völlig unscheinbar und klein, aber im Vergleich zu anderen Lokalen einen Ansage, nicht nur wegen der Qualität sondern auch wegen der Preisgestaltung. Der absolute Gamechanger → Das Personal, es war wirklich regional, keine Gastarbeiter aus Absurdistan oder sonst woher, man kennt, versteht und kümmert sich, Service auf einer mittlerweile selten gewordenen Ebene. Regionale Küche, lecker, bodenständig, fair/ehrlich und sympathisch.

Nachdem wir am Abend zuvor keinen Tisch mehr bekommen hatten, reservierten wir dann für den Folgetag. Wir wurden herzlichst begrüßt und haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Die Atmosphäre dort im Tennisstübchen war einfach toll und das Essen erst, super lecker, vielen Dank.

Wir hatten einen rundum netten Aufenthalt in diesem Restaurant! Schon beim Ankommen wurden wir äußerst freundlich empfangen – das Personal war durchweg aufmerksam, herzlich und sehr bemüht. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist, wie engagiert man sich um einen passenden Platz für uns und unseren Hund gekümmert hat – das ist alles andere als selbstverständlich. Auch als sich spontan noch Freunde zu uns gesellen wollten, wurde flexibel reagiert: Ohne Zögern wurden Tische zusammengestellt, sodass wir gemeinsam einen entspannten Abend verbringen konnten. Das Schnitzel hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Hier gibt es wirklich nichts zu beanstanden.

Hier gibt es die Beste klare Fischsuppe. Man muss den Fisch nicht suchen. Auch die Fischgerichte sind sehr lecker. Extra Wünsche werden möglich gemacht und wenn Service groß geschrieben wird, dann hier. Sehr freundlich, sehr sauber, keine lange Wartezeit. Danke.

Nach einem Spaziergang am kalten Tag hier im Tennisstübchen angekommen. Ich wurde sofort freundlich begrüßt, und meine Bestellung wurde mit Sonderwünsche sofort aufgenommen. Ein hervorragender Service, super freundlich. Ich hatte nicht viel Hunger, und bestellte mir daher die Fischsuppe. Ein Traum 🫠 Super abgeschmeckt, viel Gemüse und Fischeinlage - zum satt werden. Eigentlich gibt man hier einen Geheimtipp weiter. Es ist als wenn man nach langer Reise zu Hause ankommt. Essen voll lecker, Personal immer gut drauf, Chefin Antje Motiviert. Der Unterschied ist, zu Hause brauchst du nicht zu zahlen. Aber auch das hält sich in Grenzen und ist wirklich fair. Antje und Team, danke für das Abendessen zu Silvester. Das Tennisstübchen gehört schon seit vielen Jahren zu unseren liebsten Plätzen, um unseren Hunger zu stillen, wenn wir auf der Insel Urlaub machen. Auch dieser Besuch war wieder ein besonders schöner Nachmittag. Das Essen war wieder total Spitze und die nette Bedienung ließ keine Wünsche offen. Auch der junge Koch hat ein besonderes Lob verdient! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen auf jeden Fall gern wieder. Dear Tennisstübchen Team, Dear Manager, we dined at the Tennisstübchen today, November 14, 2025, as we wanted to enjoy one last pleasant evening. It's worth mentioning that this wasn't our first visit (we've been coming to your restaurant every holiday for years) and we were just there on Monday (November 10, 2025). With two women serving, it was great. Today, however, we had a male server who was simply unacceptable and still isn't! When my companion asked for an Aperol Spritz, the answer was, "Yes, of course we have it... you can get it everywhere." Okay, we thought, that's that. Then we were served two very tasty fish soups as starters. For the main course, we were supposed to have cod in mustard sauce and schnitzel with egg and fries. The schnitzel arrived 10 minutes before the fish was ready. When I mentioned that we would like to eat together, the response was, "Yes, yes, of course." The fries were cold and my schnitzel lukewarm by the time the cod arrived. I complained about the fries and asked them to pass it on to the chef, saying it was unacceptable. I invited the server to try them. She brushed me off. Then I went to the chef and complained about my meal. After that, the male server came to my table and threatened me, telling me not to push my luck! Outrageous! Fresh fries arrived after we had finished eating, leaving us with a bad feeling and poor service. All this for €70.60. Very disappointing. We wanted to have a Fischergeist (a local schnapps) and wished each other a pleasant evening. Perhaps this man shouldn't work in the service industry or should receive some training on what it means to work in customer service. I know there's a staff shortage everywhere, but this is unacceptable. Thank you, maybe next time. Tanja Holm

A super cozy little restaurant! The food was delicious, the portions were just right, and the price was absolutely fair. The service was incredibly friendly – ​​you immediately feel welcome. When I'm in Göhren, my first stop after the hotel is always the Tennisstübchen. It's like coming home. Antje and her team are great, and the food is delicious. They even have smaller portions if you like... Excellent!

The food arrived quickly, and tasted 3-2. For us, and unlike other restaurants nearby, the portions were far too meager for the price...

We arrived at 8 p.m., an hour before closing time. They refused to serve us because they were closed. There were other people in the place. No apology, no explanation. Disgusting place! I can't recommend it to anyone!!!

A family-run business where everyone pitches in. Friendly, fast, and helpful, with a few tips for your evening meal. From the usual fish to schnitzel, everything is available here in many variations. The cake counter is also well-stocked, with several cakes and tarts. All in all, a very large selection for every taste, even for those with a small appetite. The dishes served were warm and very generous, so no one will leave the restaurant feeling hungry. The prices are based on the local standard, which is quite justified. If you're really hungry, I recommend the solyanka as a starter. The quantity is almost a main course for those who don't eat much, but it's very tasty. The fish platter consists of zander, pollock, and plaice fillets, served with homemade remoulade and a generous portion of fried potatoes. I had the "hunter's style" schnitzel with plenty of French fries. It was huge in size, as you can see from the photo. We had a lovely evening in a lovingly decorated setting. Reservations are recommended for the evening, as space is limited. Parking in Göhren has always been a problem, so we recommend using the nearby parking garage. Last but not least, four-legged friends are welcome here, a very important criterion for us. THANK YOU VERY MUCH

After being very satisfied at the Tennisstübchen in May, we went there again. Either they have a different chef or the chef was having a bad day. Two schnitzels were completely overcooked. At first, we thought the knives were blunt, but it was actually the meat that was so tough, probably because it had been in the pan for far too long. We didn't like the mushroom sauce, so we left the rest on our plates, and the mushrooms in it were probably from a can. The fries and fried potatoes looked like they were hand-me-downs. The food wasn't worth the money. Only the friendly service deserves points.

Very tasty food, and a generous portion, which is also worth the price. I highly recommend it. If you want to eat after 6 p.m., you should make a reservation in advance.

Unfortunately, the fried herring with fried potatoes we ordered, "house style," which is usually very tasty, was absolutely terrible. The waitress apologized, but the fish was still poorly cleaned and dry. The fried potatoes should have at least had the appearance of being fried, but they weren't. That's how you lose long-standing customers.

We can only thank Antje and the entire team again for a wonderful evening with good food and lots of heart. We're certainly looking forward to the next time.

We always come here when we're on Rügen. Now, at the very beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, and again in September, we felt safe from the coronavirus here. Everything humanly possible was done and observed. The food was, of course, absolutely delicious. We'll be back next year for our vacation, of course.

We arrived at this restaurant without a reservation, but the staff accommodated us on short notice anyway. The food was so amazing and cozy, we really enjoyed it. The beetroot sticks are worth mentioning; they were the star dish among the dishes we ordered. The cakes were also excellent and had just the right amount of sugar.

The Tennisstübchen is a very well-run restaurant with adjacent tennis courts. It's an oasis of well-being, particularly thanks to the Lipp family who host it.
