The food arrived quickly, and tasted 3-2. For us, and unlike other restaurants nearby, the portions were far too meager for the price...

We arrived at 8 p.m., an hour before closing time. They refused to serve us because they were closed. There were other people in the place. No apology, no explanation. Disgusting place! I can't recommend it to anyone!!!

A family-run business where everyone pitches in. Friendly, fast, and helpful, with a few tips for your evening meal. From the usual fish to schnitzel, everything is available here in many variations. The cake counter is also well-stocked, with several cakes and tarts. All in all, a very large selection for every taste, even for those with a small appetite. The dishes served were warm and very generous, so no one will leave the restaurant feeling hungry. The prices are based on the local standard, which is quite justified. If you're really hungry, I recommend the solyanka as a starter. The quantity is almost a main course for those who don't eat much, but it's very tasty. The fish platter consists of zander, pollock, and plaice fillets, served with homemade remoulade and a generous portion of fried potatoes. I had the "hunter's style" schnitzel with plenty of French fries. It was huge in size, as you can see from the photo. We had a lovely evening in a lovingly decorated setting. Reservations are recommended for the evening, as space is limited. Parking in Göhren has always been a problem, so we recommend using the nearby parking garage. Last but not least, four-legged friends are welcome here, a very important criterion for us. THANK YOU VERY MUCH

After being very satisfied at the Tennisstübchen in May, we went there again. Either they have a different chef or the chef was having a bad day. Two schnitzels were completely overcooked. At first, we thought the knives were blunt, but it was actually the meat that was so tough, probably because it had been in the pan for far too long. We didn't like the mushroom sauce, so we left the rest on our plates, and the mushrooms in it were probably from a can. The fries and fried potatoes looked like they were hand-me-downs. The food wasn't worth the money. Only the friendly service deserves points.

Very tasty food, and a generous portion, which is also worth the price. I highly recommend it. If you want to eat after 6 p.m., you should make a reservation in advance.

The location is wonderful, the staff is very accommodating and friendly. The best part for me was the farmer's breakfast, which didn't have any burnt potatoes. Keep up the good work, the next visit is in summer 2026!

Unfortunately, the fried herring with fried potatoes we ordered, "house style," which is usually very tasty, was absolutely terrible. The waitress apologized, but the fish was still poorly cleaned and dry. The fried potatoes should have at least had the appearance of being fried, but they weren't. That's how you lose long-standing customers.

We can only thank Antje and the entire team again for a wonderful evening with good food and lots of heart. We're certainly looking forward to the next time.

We always come here when we're on Rügen. Now, at the very beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, and again in September, we felt safe from the coronavirus here. Everything humanly possible was done and observed. The food was, of course, absolutely delicious. We'll be back next year for our vacation, of course.

We arrived at this restaurant without a reservation, but the staff accommodated us on short notice anyway. The food was so amazing and cozy, we really enjoyed it. The beetroot sticks are worth mentioning; they were the star dish among the dishes we ordered. The cakes were also excellent and had just the right amount of sugar.

The Tennisstübchen is a very well-run restaurant with adjacent tennis courts. It's an oasis of well-being, particularly thanks to the Lipp family who host it. Delicious food at reasonable prices, and always a friendly welcome from the staff and owners. You feel extremely comfortable and well-looked after! Year after year!

We both had schnitzel – it was good but not a taste sensation; a bit boring, you could say, and very simple. Unfortunately, it lacked a bit of refinement. The surrounding tables had fish, which looked really good, but unfortunately, we're not big fish eaters. The ambiance was perfect 👍

I finally got to try garfish – the "worker's eel" with the green bones. I also tried the most delicious peppered herring, matjes (spiced herring), and another herring. Thanks, Antje, for the wonderful tasting and the stories about Mönchsgut. Oh, and the cake was amazing too. So good that my husband had it before coffee 😉. Good, home-style German cuisine. Nothing fancy, just honest and rustic. The food was delicious and fresh, and the server, who volunteers for the Johanniter (St. John's Order), is a woman who simply loves her job. I worked full-time in the restaurant industry for 18 years myself, and all I can say is, hats off to them... We'll be happy to come back.

We had a cozy spot with a beach chair a little way off, just right for us and our four-legged friend. The fish was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was consistently friendly and courteous. We'll be back.

The food is excellent. The service is quick and very friendly. The portions of cod and zander seem smaller to me than in previous years. That would be the only downside.

The name is a subtle nod to the restaurant's beachfront location. The menu isn't overly extensive, but offers German cuisine to suit every taste. Regional fish dishes are also included, of course. The homemade cake is highly recommended for dessert. The service was very friendly and accommodating to requests. All in all, a must-visit in Göhren.

6 days in Göhren and 7 meals at the Tennisstübchen. Antje and her team are simply fantastic, and the food, even 5 🌟, is way too little.

The food was okay. Portions could be a bit larger, but they're probably based on the relatively reasonable prices. Service was friendly but very inattentive after clearing the dishes. We had to go to the restaurant to ask for payment.

We love eating at the Tennisstübchen every year. Our two dogs, Emma and Floki, are always welcome. Antje is so sweet and personable. The food is so delicious. We always make reservations in advance, as the Tennisstübchen is very popular.

We were back in Göhren after four years. Back then, we ate at the Tennisstübchen three times in five days. We went again yesterday, June 8, 2025. It was just like four years ago. Super nice. Super food...absolutely delicious. Great price. I'm looking forward to the next time. Thanks from Berlin.

We've been coming to Göhren every June for five years, and the Tennisstübchen is a must-visit twice in those two weeks. The manager and the entire staff are super friendly. The food is absolutely fantastic and the value for money is excellent. However, you should always make a reservation in advance, as this restaurant is very popular and busy. We'll be back in four weeks and are really looking forward to the fantastic atmosphere.

Very tasty food at realistic prices, friendly service!

There were two of us there. Had to wait almost 25 minutes for food. My fried potatoes were a mini heap for a small appetite and the salad was exactly a spoonful of totally sour cabbage. Only the fish was normal. She had a lot of fries with the fish, but they were totally over salted. We won't eat there again. Addendum, as I see in the other reviews, the dish was served with an extra bowl for the fried potatoes. I didn't get a bowl, just a blob of potatoes on my plate. Apparently the fried potatoes are allocated “according to your nose”. One more star deducted for such arbitrariness.

There are places where you hope they don't change. I like the little shop at the tennis court with a nice landlady, a great crew and a great farmer's breakfast. It's cozy here and the cuisine is great and at fair prices. The only disadvantage of the shop is that it's small, so you should make a reservation but then just enjoy it

We have been to the Tennisstübschen Göhren several times. Every time with friendly service, delicious food and overall very satisfied. Since we know Baabe and Göhren quite well, this restaurant is one of our favorites. We're already looking forward to the coming weekend, when we'll "open up" again.

Price-performance ratio over two visits was good, with one exception. This exception, however, blew my socks off. My wife drank a Pinot Gris and asked for a small ice cube because the second glass wasn't cold. We only skimmed the bill at first, but then I got a real shock. A charge of 0.30 cents was made for the ice cube. It's a negligible amount, but I've never been charged for an ice cube before. I find it disgraceful!!!!!!

We are thrilled with the food, the drinks, the service, the prices and, best of all, dogs are allowed in.

Unfortunately this time at the beginning of the season the food schnitzel special and a salad plate of the house are graded 4 and 4. Hopefully the level from last year will be reached again soon.

Ladies and Gentlemen We have been regular guests of the Tennisstübchen for years and have always felt very comfortable there and were always served delicious food. Unfortunately, at the last meal 2 weeks ago, there was always an inexpensive lunch menu on offer (Königsberger Klopse). We didn't like them at all, the dumplings were very bland with little minced meat but a lot of white bread and they fell apart immediately on the fork, we were very disappointed. But we will continue to make use of your hospitality and will always remain loyal guests. Kind regards

Small, cozy restaurant, as the name suggests, located right next to the tennis court, which we have been going to for years when we are on holiday on the Baltic Sea. There is a good selection of different dishes, especially fish. The prices are really great for the Baltic Sea region. We enjoyed it and the staff was very friendly as always.

We went to the tennis room 3 times during our vacation. The price/performance ratio is very good. A restaurant where you can still eat and drink at fair prices. The food was tasty, but not exceptional, but quite good for the prices. Highly recommend the fried potatoes and the lunch menu. Now in winter we always got a table even without a reservation, that may be different in the main season. The service was super friendly 😊 We'll be back on our next vacation.

Careful, friendly and kind. With this menu it's not difficult to find the right one. In short, super good food at a reasonable price. Under no circumstances should you walk past it, but you should definitely come in and have a delicious meal.

Actually there wouldn't be a star from us. But a star has to be there. We were there on January 1st. In 2025 for the first time Eating in Tennisstübchen and we are super disappointed. I don't know where the good reviews come from either. We all had schnitzel with various side dishes. The schnitzels were definitely not fried in the pan. A split cucumber slice and half a cocktail tomato were our decoration. Honestly for this price it's a 6. Everything seemed very lost on the plates. The service was also very poor. Our glasses had been empty for a long time. There was no subsequent request either. There were also certain staff peaks. Of course we didn't give any tips. We won't be seen here again either. Every snack bar around the corner is a thousand times better. You can still see the attention to detail. What seemed like mass processing here. Very unfortunate!
