SEASIDE Restaurant & Beach Bar im Strandhaus 1 in Göhren

We (a family of 9) spent a lovely evening in this restaurant. From start to finish, we felt like friends of the house. All the tables were taken (reservations are recommended), so the two young ladies were busy but still in a good mood and the service ran smoothly. The food was better than we have experienced in a long time, at the right temperature and with the finest flavors. From starters to dessert, we had the feeling (there were at least three foodies at the table) that the food was cooked with passion; all the ingredients were chosen with love and the plates were presented with passion. A restaurant with affordable prices, high-quality food and staff who put you in a good mood. This evening was a delight.

A super nice restaurant, cozy, modern, and friendly service. The wines are a bit pricey, but otherwise there's something for every price range, and a very extensive menu with international dishes.

We were really looking forward to our birthday party at Seaside. We don't go out to eat often, so the anticipation was even greater. We were extremely disappointed because we waited 40 minutes for the starter and another 60 minutes for the main course (the latter upon request!). The waitress was nice, but the statement that she couldn't do anything about the kitchen taking so long was a no-go. Your customers shouldn't have to deal with that, because they certainly can't do anything about it!!! We ordered truffle fries as a starter - we wouldn't have ordered them if the waitress had given us a hint that we would get them with my husband's dish anyway. My spicy pasta with shrimp was 0 8 15... not even spicy. If you call something spicy, it should at least be spicy. Sorry, I can eat pasta with stupid tomato sauce at home. No thanks - never again. We'd rather go to "Die Fischräucherei."

A beautiful location with a lot of love for the food. You pay a euro more, but you get something incredibly delicious for it. We always enjoy coming here – thank you! Keep it up!

The food is excellent, there's no other way to describe it, wonderful even compared to what you'd get elsewhere in Göhren and the surrounding area. But if you reserve a table for 7:00 PM and ultimately don't leave until 9:00 PM because the food takes so long to set up, that's unacceptable. If there's only one chef present, you can communicate that, or even just offer bread in a pinch. We were there with children, and it's really difficult to keep them happy. The drinks alone felt like an eternity. It took more than an hour for the starter to arrive. The main course came after 1.5 hours. The service was okay, but could certainly have been improved with some proper communication. The food was excellent, absolutely everything! Both the bread, which was served with the delicious garlic sauce (unfortunately, it wasn't refilled), as well as all the starters and main courses. We would have loved to order dessert, but unfortunately, due to the time of day, we simply couldn't. It's a shame. I might come back for the food, but only with my husband and with plenty of time. The ambiance was so-so, a simple atmosphere, not quite matching the excellent quality of the food. Conclusion: Recommendation for a culinary delight, but you'll need plenty of time.

The most atmospheric restaurant in Göhren with the best food since Pier 32 closed. Friendly service, but if it takes a little longer, you'll understand why: the place is always busy and every dish is lovingly prepared. Special recommendations: the locally brewed beer and the fish soup. The sea roars in the background... wonderful. The prices are moderate for such an exclusive location. Reservations are recommended.

Unfortunately, the food was a bit disappointing after the good reviews. The burgers were good. The fish platter for two for €54 was more like a vegetable platter. There wasn't enough fish. Not worth it. You can't go in the evening without a reservation.

We've been here several times and are always satisfied. This time we had the fish platter for two. It was plentiful and delicious. Reservations are a must in the evening. The location right by the sea is a hit!

We were served at 8. We arrived on time and were assigned a table. So far, so good. It took over 20 minutes for us to get the menu. The waitress we knew was on the go. The male waiter was the waitress's emotional counterbalance. Another 20 minutes later, our order was taken. 50 minutes later, we got our drinks. (Two children at the table were already questioning the evening.) A total of 1:15 hours after arriving, we confirmed our desire to dine. Then the starters arrived. The "relaxed" waiter wanted to clear our plates while we were still eating. When the children's meal arrived, we had to turn down one meal because we had ordered something else. The main course for the adults was excellent as usual. The latecomer's meal, the cod for the child, was full of bones. Since our children had already mentally checked out, it didn't matter. We usually like going there, but this time it was simply garbage.

We reserved a table for July 20th at 6:30 PM on July 1st and received confirmation. On July 19th, at 10:51 PM, we received a cancellation due to technical issues. We asked for an offer at another restaurant, but there was no response. Based on the article in the Ostseezeitung from July 23rd, I don't recommend relying on an order confirmation. Volker

Amazing at Seaside, a fantastic location with a sea view at sunset, excellent food, and very friendly staff. I always feel completely at home here on vacation! I can only recommend it to everyone.

Once and never again Very unfriendly staff. Seats were available outside, but you were only allowed to eat inside, despite the perfect weather and sunshine, without any explanation. Waiting time for food was at least an hour, and there was nothing going on. No words to describe.

We had breakfast there. The price and quality were right. The direct access to the beach, the homey atmosphere, and the rich breakfast with homemade products invite you to relax and linger.

Definitely a very good recommendation. Everything is right there. Excellent food, friendly and attentive service and a chilled atmosphere. And right on the beach. What more could you want?

We sat on the terrace with a wonderful view of the Baltic Sea. We were able to enjoy an extremely tasty dinner with delicious beer and very good wine. There are different beer variations and a tasting plate. We ate here two evenings and everything tasted good. The salmon is smoked in-house. You can taste that. The selection is manageable but there is something for everyone. We had the fish platter for 2 and the stremella salmon and the cod. Freshly cooked, lovingly arranged on the plate, a great combination of ingredients. We'd love to come back.

We had reserved a table for the same evening at short notice via WhatsApp. The restaurant was busy, so you should reserve in advance. First of all, as a greeting from the kitchen, there was baguette with homemade aioli - it was incredibly delicious. The service was friendly, relaxed and on the ball. The main courses were very tasty and there were also non-alcoholic aperitifs. The location right on the beach is very nice. We'd love to come back!

We went there for a drink last night. We didn't eat anything. It's very comfortable to sit in and it's certainly even nicer in the summer. We decided on a beer and a cocktail. Both were very good. Price performance is very good.

After vacationing in Göhren again after many years, the restaurant was recommended to us by several people. So we reserved a table and went there. The restaurant was busy for winter. Also made a cozy impression. We then waited 15 minutes for the card. When after another 15 minutes no one asked what we would like to drink, we left again. The prices on the menu weren't the cheapest, but with such service we preferred to visit another restaurant. Too bad.

Clear recommendation. Service and food are top. Actually discovered by chance, it can no longer be imagined without it from our list. We had sous vide beef fillet and yellowfin tuna steak. As a starter, the delicious Catalan potatoes. The alioli as a greeting from the kitchen is to be enjoyed. We finished with a double mousse. Update: We've been here twice now and once had the burger and a special order and of course the delicious potatoes again. Dessert was the chocolate cake. Because we were so hungry, we forgot the pictures. Today we ended with fish soup and potatoes as a starter (pictures were taken during the meal). Main course this time rip-eye steak and goat cheese burger. For dessert, cream Catalan. I don't think there's anything here that isn't very tasty.

We celebrated our golden wedding anniversary at the SEASIDE Restaurant in October 2024. There were 12 of us and everyone was very happy with the food, the service and the ambience.

It was our first time on Rügen and luckily we got lost at Seaside on the first evening. We were totally thrilled with everything and can definitely recommend the location!!!

It's always a taste experience. I just call it “Culinary Arts/Crafts”. It just fits!!..and we'll definitely be back..

Die Bilder von Früher sind wirklich veraltet. Mittlerweile heißt das Restaurant Seaside Restaurant & Bar und ist wirklich eine Institution in Göhren. Dieses Restaurant ist einfach perfekt: Von der Reservierung bis hin zur Verabschiedung wird man vollkommen umsorgt. Die Gerichte sind modern, kreativ und verlieren trotzdem nicht das regionale und traditionelle aus dem Blick. Die Gerichte sind aromatisch hervorragend abgestimmt. Der Koch hat eine tolle Balance zwischen Kräutern und Gewürzen in den einzelnen Gerichten umgesetzt. Die Produkte sind von sehr guter Qualität und werden von einem herzlichen Personal serviert. Auch die Getränkeauswahl kann sich sehen lassen. Eine große Bierauswahl und eine perfekte Weinauswahl, lassen keine Wünsche offen. Auch für den Autofahrer ist genug Auswahl da. Besonders in der kalten Jahreszeit ist die warme Milch mit Honig, der hauseigene Minztee oder die tolle Teeauswahl sehr wohlig. Ob in der Haupt- oder Nebensaison, das Restaurant ist immer gut besucht und daher ist eine Tischreservierung sehr zu empfehlen. Wir waren schon mehrmals dort und sind immer wieder begeistert von der herzlichen Art des Chefs und seinen Mitarbeitern. Danke wieder einmal für zwei wundervolle Abende mit vielen Köstlichkeiten. Für uns waren es, wie erwartet, erneut rund um gelungene Restaurantbesuche und wir freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal. Herzlichen Dank

This restaurant is simply perfect: from the reservation to the farewell, you are completely looked after. The dishes are modern, creative and yet do not lose sight of the regional and traditional. The dishes have an excellent aromatic balance. The chef has implemented a great balance between herbs and spices in the individual dishes. The products are of very good quality and are served by a warm staff. The selection of drinks is also impressive. A large selection of beers and a perfect wine selection leave nothing to be desired. There is also enough choice for drivers. Especially in the cold season, the warm milk with honey, the house mint tea or the great selection of teas are very comforting. Whether in high or low season, the restaurant is always busy and a table reservation is therefore highly recommended. We have been there several times and are always impressed by the warm nature of the boss and his employees. Thank you again for two wonderful evenings with many delicacies. As expected, it was another successful restaurant visit for us and we are already looking forward to the next time. Thank you very much

5 days vacation, 3 evenings at Seaside, super nice service, the Seaside beer was delicious, food was great, burgers, roulade, fillet of Iberico. . . No wishes unfulfilled, always happy again!

We found space at short notice. Ate shrimp with garlic sauce as a starter and found the sauce sensationally good. I didn't know the fish soup, but it was also very, very tasty. Spaghetti with spicy shrimp is also recommended. We'll be back...

Wir haben ohne Reservierung einen schönen Platz bekommen. Der junge Kellner wirkte noch neu, war aber sehr kompetent, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unser Essen war absolut überzeugend, hat sehr sehr gut geschmeckt und war frisch zubereitet! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

I would first like to praise the great service, especially the waitress who was very friendly and attentive. About the food: The fish soup was fresh and tasted good, but I expected a little more from the fish platter for two people. The platter contained 2 pieces of pollock (delicious), 2 pieces of mackerel (okay), 2 pieces of herring fillets (not my taste) and 2 pieces of shrimp (delicious), which was very little seafood for the price of €51. The side dish of a potato and pepper pan with broccoli and mushrooms was unfortunately very oily, which made the dish a bit heavy and too much potatoes for two. The salad, on the other hand, was really tasty and rounded off the menu well. Overall, I found the quality of the food to be okay, but I was a little disappointed by the price performance of the fish platter.

Lage direkt am Wasser. Spannende Karte. Sehr gutes Essen. Freundliches Personal. Wir wären gerne noch ein zweites Mal hierhin gegangen, hatten unsere Abende aber schon anders verplant.

Wir haben in dem Restaurant einen sehr schönen Abend verbracht. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und hat uns wertvolle Tipps gegeben. Wir hatten als Vorspeise Sashimi vom Tunfisch und die Garnelen in Chili-Knobi-Öl und als Hauptspeise Kabeljau und Tunfisch ... es war alles sehr gut und auch sehr schön auf den Tellern arrangiert. Das Auge ist ja bekanntlich mit. Der Tunfisch war zwar durchgebraten, aber gerade noch so saftig im Geschmack. Ich hatte mir gewünscht, dass er mittig noch leicht roh ist, aber da die Scheibe sehr dünn war, ist das natürlich schlecht steuerbar.
