Tennis-Café in Bad Kissingen

I can't say anything about the food. The service, well, the first time we visited the beer garden, we were allowed to get our own drinks from the restaurant around 5:30 p.m. when the weather was nice. On our second visit, there were a few more guests in the beer garden, it was around 6:30 p.m., and there was actually a waiter. But please be prepared for some time, as it's easy to be overlooked... The beer garden is quite simple and spartan, with no special features or appropriate decorations on the tables.

Pizza was good, beer was delicious, salad was okay, calamari was lukewarm and too salty. The service was absolutely terrible. Despite electronic ordering and table numbers, the staff didn't know which food should be served where. There's plenty of room for improvement...

Sunday evening at 7 p.m. while passing through Bad Kissingen we were looking for something to eat. The menu outside said kitchen open until 9 p.m. Because of the time we went in and didn't look any further. We sat down in the beer garden and were able to order straight away from the waitress. Here she was still prompt and efficient. We ordered two schnitzels and two Cokes. The Coke came quickly. After over 45 minutes we politely asked where our food was. The waitress looked at us in astonishment and replied: did you order from me? The kitchen has been closed for 30 minutes. I'm sorry for just a moment and that was it. Of course we had to pay for the two half-empty Cokes straight away. We didn't regret the meal as the tables and chairs were sticky too. Once and definitely not a second time!!!!!

This place is not recommended...although booked for a birthday dinner for 12 people (confirmed by phone), it was closed at the specified time and no one was available.

Very nice beer garden and the pizzas are delicious too....

We ordered strawberry cake. It was sooooo good. It was freshly baked. You can't get better at a pastry shop. The cappuccino was hot and good. I can't understand why people write bad reviews. The staff was very friendly. Don't forget that it's a tennis club. It's a beer garden where you can also sit comfortably inside. It's not a fancy restaurant. Even dogs are welcome. We're going there for pizza on Thursday. I'm excited and will write another review. And if you say McDonald's is better, then look at what ingredients are in it!

Actually a nice place. Was there in the evening. The food is fried greasy and is slapped down carelessly. Additional charge (sauce) - but another one came. Price/performance is not true here! McDonald's would have been healthier and tasted better.

Today we paid another visit after a long time, after more than 30 minutes without service we left again and won't be coming back. Service underground like last time, that’s it……

The food is great and plentiful for the price. Also made a freshly prepared impression. The waiting time is still a bit too long for how hungry I am. Staff was friendly. We enjoyed being here...

A nice beer garden, but poor hospitality. There were no cushions on the chairs. To eat there was ready-made pape schnitzel. Side dishes: Salad was unseasoned, not even seasoned with salt and pepper.

Essen war kalt. Bedienungen unfreundlich. Viel zu freizügig angezogen. Mein Opa konnte den Blick kaum Abwenden. Im Gastraum waren auch noch Kameras versteckt. DAS GEHT GAR NICHT.

I'm just at a loss for words when it comes to this store. We made a reservation for 12 people, of course when we got there they didn't know about the reservation. Of course the phone call never happened. Quote from the waitress: “Too bad for you”. When the waitress wanted to get the boss, he was of course not willing to communicate. Thanks for nothing.

After 2 years, I wanted to go to the Tennis Cafe again to eat with a larger group. Unfortunately, our reservation apparently wasn't taken seriously and our table was reassigned. In my opinion it's not possible and it was definitely the last time.

We have always eaten here. The pizza is basically quite good. Unfortunately the cook always pours a lot of oil on it. We have already canceled this every time, but unfortunately the chef ignores it. He obviously thinks it has to be there. Last time he actually left out the oil, but instead poured larger amounts of pesto on it. Too bad! This makes the pizza soggy and pesto is not to everyone's taste. We also ate schnitzel every now and then. Until now I was of the opinion that he made them himself. Today I had schnitzel again. Not only did it look like a shoe sole, it was also as tough and could be cut like a shoe sole. Unfortunately it only tasted like garlic. It was overall inedible. I basically had to leave it completely behind. The fries were also very crunchy today. They were relatively brown, but still crunchy and salty. If I hadn't had to leave the schnitzel behind, I would have left the fries behind. But they were the lesser evil. The service wasn't interested in the criticism. We also had to wait well over an hour for the food.

Great cafe/bistro with very good pizza and also pan-fried dishes.Mediterranean cuisine. Tennis tournaments and great cuisine in a great ambience in Luitpoldpark. Service is often understaffed, stressed and often probably unfriendly as a result.

It used to be a cozy beer garden. Food has declined sharply, but prices have risen sharply. But the service with this staff is actually not even worth a star. Never again.

A very nice place to stay on a cozy summer evening

Beer garden under trees and in a quiet location. The service doesn't give the impression that it's a pleasure to serve the guests. The smile has to be paid extra.... There were also problems during the payment round because it was not asked exactly who had eaten what and how they would like to be paid. If these deficiencies are corrected, a stay there can be classified as pleasant. I or we were there several times.

We were here for the tennis tournament last year and were surprised by the unfriendly lady in service... this year she managed to top the unfriendliness... a shame... because we only had to wait 75 minutes for the food 👎👎👎 and the takeaway A white wine spritzer to the spectator seat at number 5 was banned in an exceptionally harsh tone...

That was fine. The tomato soup tastes good, quite spicy, I like that. The beef roulade was tender and could have used a little more salt. The red cabbage... well, I would have cooked it differently, not cooked it so far and seasoned it more intensively. The dumplings were very good, the wheat beer from Roth was great. Raspberry cake for dessert: I would have liked a little decoration, whipped cream or a small scoop of vanilla ice cream. The waiter was not a trained person, but was friendly and quick. Overall it was very pleasant on the terrace. Next time I visit I'll try the Italian dishes.

So far the best restaurant that me and my husband have visited several times! Very nice surroundings and great beer garden with a view of the tennis games. Very nice service! fair prices! we are very convinced. There are always great daily specials, this time we had breaded buffalo salad. Delicious ! Always my pleasure.

The Tennis Café impressed us with its delicious food, friendly service and cozy atmosphere. The pizza and pasta dishes were delicious and rounded off our evening perfectly. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Good shop... Deficits in service (something here and there is forgotten or takes longer) are compensated for by friendly staff. Pizza and burgers tested, great.

The “Tennis Cafe” beer garden is fantastic! Great view, fresh beer and delicious pizza with a crispy base and fresh toppings. Friendly service completes the experience. Highly recommended!

How times have changed. Service disaster. Not a cent more for such unfriendly staff. It's a real shame, such a beautiful beer garden!

Delicious pizza eaten outside, the service seemed to be a bit at the limit at times, but everything was on point. Prices are ok, the terrace by the tennis courts is under trees and nice and cozy.

Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend the tennis café to anyone. The food and service were much better under the previous owners. The boss is extremely unfriendly. Even if there are few guests, you simply won't be served. The food also leaves a lot to be desired. The warm dishes as well as coffee and cake are more than subpar. Better save your money and go somewhere else. Bad Kissingen has many other great restaurants!!

Waited over half an hour for finger food and fries even though nothing!!!! is going. I'm the only guest who ordered food. Incredible. The waitress is too lazy to come outside to take the order. When ordering drinks, ask if I can pay immediately. So she doesn't have to walk. I can understand that when the restaurant is busy. But not when there is a yawning emptiness. Tables not wiped down. We ordered a schnitzel and received a 2mm thick one with lots of breading on a pizza plate with an indefinable brown edge. Out of the deep fryer, served dry and carelessly.

Are very disappointed😭, what happened to the kitchen. Pizza was always a hit here, and the rest was pretty good too. --- Simple good food, small menu, €1.00 more. There has to be something going on.???!!!!! Please !! ------ Service 🙄🤷😱. We were here for the first time over 3 years ago, a beautiful location in the middle of a beautiful park under old trees. The wonderful surroundings are what draws us here again and again. Drink something.😢 It's such a shame, it can't be that difficult 👍🤩🌳🌳🌳🤗

That was really a nightmare! The service was unfriendly and barely there, the glasses were dirty, the beer garden was generally unkempt, there was no ice cream, and now comes the food... I would almost say it was frozen pizza and frozen lasagne. Really just a disaster 🙈

We have been coming here for years and it gets less and less every year. Last week we had dinner with the whole family and unanimously decided that it was the last time. It all looks faded and it smells like “The last ray of sunshine” inside. The food was also not special: few fries (which were also lukewarm) and thin schnitzels. All in all, few stars.

Best pizza in Bad Kissingen! Such delicious dough, with lots of cheese and toppings! Lots of outdoor space and a cozy atmosphere. It's a bit quaint inside. Unfortunately, the waitresses are usually totally stressed, unfriendly and overworked. There doesn't seem to be a good working atmosphere there, so there are two points deducted.

4,20€ für ne Tasse Kaffee.... Gaststube unbeheizt, draußen war es wärmer. Heizkörper aus, Kamin wurde dann angemacht, half aber spontan nichts. Speisekarte Loseblatt, total lieblos. Beratung zu Essen wegen Unverträglichkeiten nicht möglich. Sind dann woanders essen gegangen. Fazit: teuer, ungemütlich, schlechter Service. Schade,seit dem Besitzerwechsel nicht mehr zu empfehlen. Zu Bastians Zeiten brummte der Laden und es hat immer Spaß gemacht, hinzugehen.

New owner except that everything costs a lot more and the portions have become a lot smaller, for example a schnitzel is only a small one and it doesn't actually taste like anything, I'm quite disappointed.

Pizza Diavolo with a great thin base. Delicious tomato soup. Excellent bruschetta. Service staff not unfriendly, but not native speakers and probably untrained. Ambience a bit worn out. Holy Saturday at lunchtime there were just under 10 guests inside, the beer garden was empty. Conclusion: We would love to come back for food.

Despite arriving shortly before closing time, we were still well looked after. Rustic atmosphere with very good cuisine. We were there with a dog. Excellent pizza (crispy thin, rightly mentioned as a tip in other reviews) and fresh salads, all attractively prepared. Thank you! Anyone who opens the doors to a fascist party is not worth visiting. The Afd can happily gather under a bridge somewhere, but a restaurateur should value himself more

It's the very last thing you do when you arrive at a restaurant that Google says is open and it's closed. This can be done better. Ultimately we found something much better in the city center. Thanks for nothing.

The service was disastrous. The tablecloths were still dirty from the previous person. First impression of the pizza we ordered. Lots of cheese and the bottom wasn't cooked through. I've never eaten such bad pizza. The only positive was the price

Went on Tuesday, October 24th. there. I had made a reservation a good week before. When we arrived there was no table reserved but there was still enough space. We have 3! different tables: dirty tablecloths and chairs, countless crumbs on the table. Since we lost our appetite, we left too. It's a shame, because I used to enjoy being a guest here.

The glasses were dirty and my request to change them was not met with enthusiasm. Waited a long time for food, no culinary delight. Unfriendly service. Old-fashioned atmosphere.

Wir kennen das Restaurant seit Jahren und waren diesmal überhaupt nicht zufrieden, es kam nicht das an den Tisch was bestellt war, das Essen entspricht nicht mehr der Qualität die man gewohnt war. Das Personal ist zwar freundlich und bemüht aber überfordert. In dieser Form ist Lokal leider keine Gute Adresse mehr, schade.

Klasse Essen italienischer Art... flottes Personal, schön im Kurpark gelegen, direkt an den Tennisplätzen, Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist spitze und der italienische Hintergrund läßt sich erahnen, da die Pizza, Salate und das Pizzabrot yummi lecker sind... also nichts wie hin... Kind und Hund sind gerne gesehen... Hunde zumindest im Außenbereich, wir saßen nur außen und kommen immer wieder. Ein Dank an den Koch.

Tolles Essen, leckere Pizza aber...... der Service scheint völlig überfordert zu sein, wollten innen sitzen, wurden in den Außenbereich verwiesen, dort lange Wartezeit.

Waren dort an einem Dienstag, da ist Pizzatag jede kleine Pizza 7,50€ 🍕. Zum Vergleich wurde auch eine große Pizza bestellt, da alles handgemachte Pizza waren ,war der Unterschied zwischen klein und groß kaum zu erkennen. PIZZA war lecker und ging Schnell. Getränke Preise sind i.O. werden wieder kommen.

3. September 2023 wieder dort gewesen. Es wird wieder bedient, toll! Die Pizza war auch wieder super. Leider bleibt der 5. Stern fern, da der Service nur nach heftigem Winken an den Tisch kommt und beim Abräumen der anderen Tische gekonnt nach unten sieht. Beim Bezahlen wurden mehrere Tische verwechselt. Aus den Bewertungen ergibt sich, dass das heute kein Einzelfall war. Schade, das müssten Sie doch besser hinbekommen. --------- 2. September 2022 wieder dort gewesen. Leider keine Bedienung mehr im Außenbereich. Alles muss oben im Restaurant bestellt und bezahlt werden und die Getränke dann selbst mit raus genommen werden. Das Essen wird dann aber gebracht, allerdings ohne Besteck: also wieder hoch und selbst holen, während das Essen wartet. Die Pizzen waren geschmacklich wieder super, leider der Teig viel zu hart. Sorry, aber nun muss ich einen Stern abziehen. Ich hoffe, ihn beim nächsten Besuch wieder dazu nehmen zu können. ------------- 1. Für uns beim Muss, wenn wir in Bad Kissingen sind‼️‼️‼️‼️ Kleiner Spaziergang aus der City von ca. 15 Minuten. Die Außengastronomie ist fast flächendeckend mit Sonnenschirmen ausgestattet, so dass sowohl bei sonnigem Wetter als auch bei Regen draußen gegessen werden kann. Die Pizza ist erste Klasse und auch die anderen Gerichte machen einen sehr guten Eindruck. Die Preise sind sehr gut und der Service schnell und freundlich. Ich liebe ja das Rother Hefeweizen Bier vom Fass. Aber das ist natürlich wie alles im Leben reine Geschmacksache.

Wenn man eigentlich keinen Hunger und Durst hat, kann man sich ja gerne hierher begeben, denn bis mal eine der scheinbar vielbeschäftigten Bedingungen auftaucht um die Bestellung aufzunehmen wartet man schon ewig, bis dann unsere Getränke kamen haben wir schon 45 Minuten gewartet. Man merkt den Bedingungen an dass sie keine Lust zu arbeiten haben, man fühlt sich als Gast hier sehr unwohl und ungebeten. Das Essen ist ok, ist aber auch nichts besonderes. Der Biergarten an sich ist eigentlich ganz schön, und die Preise sind für das was geboten wird in Ordnung, schade nur das der Service eigentlich nichtmal einen stern verdient hat, ich werde sicher nicht mehr hierher kommen.

Noch nie so schlecht gegessen! Schnitzel aus der Fritteuse… ok. Rahmsauce ! Der absolute Witz! Eine braune Päckchensauce… Der Beilagensalat … ein Spritzer Balsamicocreme, die nicht einmal ausreichten, um den Salat vollständig damit zu benetzen. Unverschämtheit! Das ganze nur lauwarm. Nein danke!

Sehr schöne Lokalität, war an diesem Tag leider hoffnungslos überfüllt. Das Personal war am Limit sonst sehr schön.

Hunde 🐕 erlaubt Zahlen mit ec Karte ist möglich. Kostenloses W-Lan Ich habe nur im Biergarten gesessen, der ist angenehm und bietet auch bei der prallen Sonne heute viel Schattenplätze die zum Entspannen einladen. Die Preise sind für, die Portionen sehr angemessen. Der große Salat ist wirklich sehr groß und das für 6,50€ ein wirklicher Schnapper! Der Salat und die Zutaten sind sehr frisch, anmerkung: etwas Brot dazu wären 100% Der Service ist sehr freundlich, schnell und zuvorkommend, der Hund 🐕 hat unaufgefordert Wasser angeboten bekommen. Ich bin bei 30 Grad und Sonne 🌞 den sissi Pfad gewandert. Nach dem Berg ist die Gaststätte eine willkommene Bereicherung und man kann sich mit einem kühlen Getränk belohnen. Ich komme gerne wieder ! Die Pizza 🍕 sieht sehr gut 👍 aus, die muss ich noch mal probieren.

Man wird von den Bedienungen gern übersehen,obwohl 3 bedienen. Schliesse mich den Vorschreibern an. Die Bedienungen müssen es noch lernen mit Gästen umzugehen .Daher wenig Trinkgeld bzw keins. Pizza war gut 👍
