There were four of us at Tayas Göttingen. The food was great and the service was very accommodating. Would love to come back.

Connect a dinner with memories 🥰 It's always super delicious and a great journey into another culinary world. The service staff is great! Thanks especially to Mattes, who was in the necessary exchange with his colleagues and looked after us warmly and courteously! Thanks! Only the light could be a little brighter. But that's an evil that doesn't diminish the euphoria.

Worth Trying it 😁 it's my 7th time still feels the same

I was there for the first time. We received a very friendly welcome and the service was very, very nice for the rest of the evening. The food was delicious, I had a vegetarian recipe. One star was deducted because I found the lighting in the dining room to be too dark; a guest at the neighboring table was reading the menu with the flashlight on his cell phone. The prices were slightly increased, but the prices on the map were not yet updated. But because the food was so delicious and the service was very, very nice, I will definitely come back.

Excellent delicious food, short waiting time, friendly and prompt service. Drinks (e.g. homemade lemonade) are prepared very lovingly, the food is great and very filling!

The restaurant used to be good as "Havanna", but now it is definitely the best Indian restaurant in Göttingen and the surrounding area. 😃 Number 56 is highly recommended and the bread is great.

The Indian restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience. The dishes are authentic, rich in flavors and prepared with attention to detail. The variety on the menu delights both lovers of mild and spicy dishes. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is always friendly and attentive. Particularly noteworthy is the freshness of the ingredients and the artful presentation of the dishes. An absolute must for anyone who wants to enjoy Indian cuisine at the highest level!

Truly the best Indian food outside of India that I have ever eaten. Service was very friendly. Atmosphere was good too, not much has changed since it was Havana, but that's fitting. The children's play corner is really well done and we will definitely come back!

Nothing special about the store. Food is mediocre. My companion had stomach problems/diarrhea after the visit (starter). There is smoke in the hall from the kitchen. Some of the ambience remains from the previous owner (Havana paintings on the walls)

Really great! Were there yesterday with a voucher book, it wasn't a problem at all with the voucher, we were served very friendly. Great food, taste explosion in the mouth, at the end there was a mango schnapps on the house. The absolute bright spot yesterday was the young blonde waitress who, despite the house being full, was always friendly and handled everything extremely well. Thank you for the good service. We'll definitely be back.

Visit in May After our visit to Göttingen, we decided to eat at Tayas because of all the positive reviews. The restaurant is a little way out of the center but is definitely worth it. We ordered fried chicken and some kind of fried vegetable slices in advance. As a main course the butter chicken and the mixed grill to share. All dishes were delicious. Tayas is a super nice place with lovely people.

During our last visit to Tayas we felt comfortable next to many guests. The food tasted good and the service was really top. A highly recommended address for eating Indian food in Göttingen!

We had reserved a table in advance and also brought our 10-month-old son with us! Everything worked perfectly and a high chair was brought to us immediately. After we were allowed to choose a place in the shade in the “beer garden”, we started. After a short time our food arrived and we were absolutely positively impressed! It was super tasty, the portion size was definitely enough and the staff were happy to have fun with our son. So we'd love to come back and thank you for the great time and the great food!

We had dinner there on Friday with friends and our children. Very tasty 😋 and beautifully prepared... very friendly staff with a great children's play area. We will be back and can fully recommend it.

The Tayas restaurant is absolutely outstanding and is highly recommended to any fan of Indian delicacies. In addition to the “typical” Indian dishes, the menu is full of “specialties”, such as dish 117, which blows my mind every time. The service at Tayas is also very good, always very friendly and especially child-friendly! The preparation time of the food is also absolutely satisfactory. The overall package between food, service, atmosphere and value for money is absolutely top notch. It's always fun to eat at Tayas!!

Waited 30 minutes for a to-go meal, mango chicken. The lady apologized for the unreasonable waiting time, but did not show us any attention. The food was so “so”, too much sauce and not enough chicken. We wanted to make a second attempt and eat in the restaurant. Properly showed my voucher book before ordering. The menus came immediately. We had chosen and were now hoping to place our order. However, subsequent guests were more likely to be served. Unfortunately, we waited in vain for over 20 minutes to at least be able to order the drinks. After that we left. The staff didn't seem to care, they didn't even ask. Conclusion: If you ignore guests with a voucher booklet to such an extent, this restaurant should no longer be allowed to take part in the voucher campaign. On the too often mentioned excuse regarding. It couldn't have been due to a lack of staff, there was enough staff available. We won't try to eat here again.

If you are looking for Indian or Pakistani Food in Gottingen or want to feel a taste that you feel back home, yes, Tayas restaurant in Gottingen is the place to go. delicious food, best service and presentation and awesome environment. Try once and you will have longing for it.

Well, I ordered vegetarian thali..unfortunately, I had a mix-up and got one item that was not vegetarian. The chef himself came and apologised. The food was delicious.

We discovered Tayas through a voucher in the “Schlemmerblock”. We were warmly welcomed and, after announcing that we would like to redeem the 2 for 1 voucher, we were informed that there was also an equivalent coupon for cocktails in the block. The service was attentive and courteous throughout the evening, the cocktails surprised us very positively and both the naan and our main courses left nothing to be desired.

It used to be really really good. Quality has become very much hit and miss of late. It's not cheap by any means; but prices are still fairly reasonable. There are better places for Indian food in Göttingen.

Sometimes the service lost sight of the tables. The portions are great, the food is extremely tasty and even if it is spicy, it is well tolerated by people who like it European. In terms of price, the food is absolutely reasonable. We would love to come back

Very tasty food and attentive service.

We were there recently and have to say that the service was exceptionally friendly. The food was good and is recommended. We sat in the back of the restaurant, which can't keep up with the front, but that didn't detract from the dining experience. We were served very well. There was even some attention from the House due to two misunderstandings on both sides. Something like that is not a given and just showed us that the guest is king. We even found the incorrectly delivered dish packed up at the end without us asking about it. This means no food is wasted. Simply great! :) We will be back.

Tayas – now the eighth Indian in Göttingen. With a few exceptions, the innovations in gastronomy in Göttingen now range from Indian to burgers. Because of the pretty good reviews on Google Maps, we also wanted to take a look at this Indian guy. But were very disappointed. A pity. As soon as we entered the front part of the restaurant, we were greeted by a cloud of fumes made up of the smell of food and burning things, the air was bitter. Upon our advice, the air conditioning in the back where we were sitting was turned up higher. It had no effect, so other guests opened the patio door on their own. In the back room, the atmosphere between a shoebox and a bistro is correspondingly uninspiring. Unfortunately, the dishes weren't as tasty as some other Indian restaurants in Göttingen. The Indian lentil soup was not creamy and had far too much rice, chicken fried rice for an incredible €16.50 was a small bowl, artlessly fried rice with leek and small pieces of chicken, served with tomato ketchup as a sauce. Only after repeated requests was a good hot Indian sauce added, and the dish ended up being cold. Lamb Tikka for €18.50 was barely marinated and came on a simple bed of leeks without peppers or similar visual and taste stimuli, it had very different sized pieces in the mix and was dry. The staff themselves were inexperienced and overwhelmed, but very friendly and nice. Our repeated complaints were received kindly. Unfortunately, this is ultimately not an option for us in the future.

Last night I was there for the first time and I was overwhelmed. I haven't experienced such excellent service in years. Food very good. I'm not that into Indian food but now I want more! So a big thank you to the Tayas team!

A wonderful Indian restaurant with an ambient atmosphere. Tried several of their dishes. Starting from Dosa to their chicken thali. The appetizer chicken 65 was good too. Loved their Mango cream dessert, was too good. Took Icetea from their drinks and the Tayas special Ice tea was very refreshing. Mango Lassi tasted good as well. Overall was really happy with how the food tastes. Definitely worth the visit. They accept card payment as well.

Very crowded and loud. You should make a reservation, it's safe to be sure. Service was at its limit. Food was very tasty 😋. It was our first time eating Indian food. Portin a little too small. Price was still okay.

We belatedly hosted our Christmas party at Tayas and we really had a great evening! Delicious food and cocktails, good service and a feel-good atmosphere. We were also provided with a photo box and music system (Bluetooth connection with our own cell phones), which helped create a great atmosphere. So many thanks to the team and especially the chefs. Always my pleasure!

This was the first visit to Tayas with friends. Cozy Atmosphere good, clear menu not too big. The dishes are very tasty with many side dishes and typical ones Indian spices. The service was super friendly when asked questions clear, competent answers. Price/performance great. I can recommend everyone to visit Tayas once. We'd love to come back.

Im Tayas gibt es nicht nur die klassischen indischen Gerichte sondern auch uns bisher unbekannte Zubereitungsweisen. Insgesamt wird das Essen modern angerichtet und ist es sehr lecker. Die Einrichtung ist zum größten Teil vom Vorgänger übernommen und könnte überarbeitet werden, aber das ist kein Grund für uns nicht noch weitere Gerichte auszuprobieren. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Der Tipp vor und nach dem Lumiere - und natürlich auch solo! Problemlose Reservierung, uns wurde auch der große hintere, noch leere Raum angeboten, freundliche, aufmerksame Bedienung, auch zwischendrin Nachfrage nach Zufriedenheit und Wünschen! Die Speisekarte hat eine sehr große, auch vegetarische Auswahl. Das Essen war zügig da und heiß, super gewürzt, absolut lecker, richtige Portionsgröße, um sich hinterher satt und nicht zu voll zu fühlen. Qualität statt XXL! Ich habe mein Lieblingsrestaurant gefunden und freue mich schon auf die nächsten Besuche. Ich wünsche dem Tayas Restaurant ein erfolgreiches "weiter so"!

The staff is nice and caring. The food menu has a lot of options but I don't know much about Indian food so I don't have an opinion about the food. I think the salon waiters are also not familiar with the menu and they use numbers instead of the names. The drink menu does not offer that many different things but still proper for a restaurant, with interesting options on alcohol-free drinks. I enjoyed my cocktail maid of non alcoholic Martini.

Das Essen ist lecker und der Service sehr aufmerksam. Die Lautstärke der Hintergrundmusik ist angenehm leise. Keine Angst vor scharfe Gerichte. Scharf meint hier nicht indisch scharf! Am Samstag Abend war es voll. Man sollte einen Tisch vorbestellen. Einen Parkplatz in der Nähe zu finden ist nicht leicht!

Ich habe noch nie bei einem Inder,an einem gut gefüllten Samstag Abend, so schnell leckeres,hochwertiges Essen bekommen.Hier erlebt man ein buntes Geschmacksfeuerwerk. Für die kleineren Kinder gibt es eine tolle Spielecke.Einfach nur perfekt.

Tayas serves great food ( i have tried Dum biryani, Kotthu Parotta .. to name a few) Apart from that, people are friendly and provide with great atmosphere

If you are an Indian, and looking for something authentic, in terms of cuisine, Tayas is probably the place for you. More than food, what it offers, is the ambience. I have had the chance to eat from here and I think it is the best place in Göttingen.

Das Team von taya‘s ist sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Empfehlungen in Bezug auf die Essenswahl sollten immer berücksichtigt werden. Alles in allem ist ein Besuch bei taya‘s eine gute Idee

Schönes Lokal mit einem sehr angenehmen Ambiente das zum Verweilen einlädt. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und auch Fachkundig. Was mich wirklich positiv beeindruckt hat war nicht nur die gut ausgestattete Bar sondern auch das Essen, dies kam brutzelnd warm und hat wirklich sehr intensiv und hervorragend geschmeckt!

Das Essen ist sehr lecker und nicht nur der typische Standard wie in jedem anderen Indischen Restaurant. Das Servicepersonal sollte noch besser geschult werden (am Nachbartisch kamen teilweise falsche Gerichte und Getränke doppelt). Auch nicht schön, dass meine Vorspeise zusammen mit dem Hauptgericht kommt, das dann aber auch schon vorsorglich mit einer Alufolie zum Warmhalten abgedeckt ist.

Es war wirklich sehr lecker hier, Wartezeit angemessen. Hinweise / Informationen zu den einzelnen Gerichten und die Art des Verzehrs (mit der rechten Hand) gab es auf Wunsch dazu. Es wurde auch regelmäßig nachgefragt, ob alles recht sei. Für uns hätte es etwas schärfer sein können, aber das ist ja Geschmackssache. :) - Muss dem europäischen Gaumen ja genügen und da gibt es bekanntermaßen so viele verschiedene, wie es Gäste gibt ... :) Also testet selbst. ;) Ich fand es prima.
