Great service on site, always friendly and in a good mood. There's also a second Ouzo on the house. The pizza dough is by far the best around here. We really enjoy ordering here and are always satisfied. The nice pizza taxi driver is also on the ball!

We had dinner on site today on Sunday with 4 adults, 1 2 year old and a dog. We had previously called by phone and reserved a table. When we arrived the table was already prepared and water was already available for the dog. The selection of dishes was perfectly fine, everyone found something Personally, I would have liked a very small selection as a children's menu so that you could choose small portions instead of just fries or eating with the large ones. Unfortunately, I can only agree with the others here in the review when it comes to the service. Even though the restaurant on the terrace was actually very empty, it sometimes took quite a long time until someone came. Sugar for the cappuccino only came when we ordered another meal - by then the cappuccino was already half empty. A note on the card that only cash payment is possible there would of course have been an advantage, but we had enough cash with us. If you would work a little bit on the service then it would definitely be a great hotel spot restaurant with the location it has. We will definitely come back and try other dishes

Unfortunately, the service is not the most attentive or quick. Meat dishes are okay. Unfortunately the pizza less so. Better to go next door to eat.

Berühmt und bekannt ist ja die Grichische Gastfreundschaft, leider gab es in der Taverne Samos wenig bis gar nichts. Wir waren mit Familie inkl. zwei Kindern dort. Als wir nach über einer Stunde Warten nachgefragt haben wann unser Essen kommt, wurde gasagt das haben wir doch schon lange bekommen. Das stimmte leider nicht, nach weiteren 30 Minuten kamen unsere Essen, zwei davon nicht wie bestellt. Die "Krönung" war, dass das Brot und eine Portion Tsaziki die uns gebracht wurden um die Wartezeit zu überbrücken, auf der Rechnung waren. Nach langen Diskussionen konnten wir das klären. Meine Empfehlung, lieber beim Rewe etwas holen und Zuhause oder auf dem Campingplatz essen.

Unfortunately, Samos is no longer what it used to be. The service in particular has deteriorated significantly. We usually picked up our food here after ordering over the phone. We were already used to waiting 10-15 minutes despite the confirmed time, but today was the last time for us. Called at around 7:15 p.m. and the food should be ready in about half an hour. At 7:50 p.m. we were told that the food had been thrown away because it was ready at quarter past 7, so we were simply told a blatant lie to our faces, very unfriendly, and no apology or anything like that. The food itself is okay, but it doesn't make up for the unfriendly treatment of the customer.

Visit on Tue, July 30, 2024, 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Samos tavern is beautifully located on the banks of the Olef, in the center of Schleiden. Our highlight was the great terrace above the small river Olef. You sit on the terrace with a great view of or over the water, and the shading does its job even at temperatures over 30°C. The terrace, furniture and fixtures are of high quality and still appear fairly new. There are good and plentiful parking spaces within walking distance. The menu is not too extensive, the food is delicious and the portion size is appropriate for the price. Unfortunately, the service processes are not designed particularly effectively, so waiting times become very long. It took us a full two hours from arriving at the table to paying, even though there were two of us, only two drinks each and only one meal each (1 x gyros and 1 x pasta). We each ordered a second drink before receiving the food, but only received the drinks when I had already finished my plate and my partner was almost finished. The service outside at the tables was provided by two people, a very polite young lady and a middle-aged gentleman (the owner?). The processes didn't seem very well divided. Apparently there was someone else inside preparing the drink orders. Unfortunately, the service only ever went to exactly one table and responded to requests/orders there. Unfortunately, we consistently walked past empty glasses and plates along the way. Reorders or other requests could only be placed with a bit of luck when the service passed the table. During the two hour stay I observed the same order at all the tables: food came, then the service ran back into the restaurant and first brought the cutlery to the table. In my case (pasta) a knife and fork came, the missing spoon that I asked for then took another few minutes. Luckily it was hot outside, so the food didn't get too cold while we waited. When I asked for the bill, it took quite a long time again. The invoice came handwritten. With an appropriate receipt system (isn't that even required in the catering industry?) it would certainly have been quicker. Since the restaurant, the terrace and the food really deserve a recommendation, here are perhaps two tips for the operators: 1.) As you pass, look at the other tables for empty glasses and offer other drinks. This way you generate additional sales, appear more attentive and collect service points! 2.) When new guests arrive at a table, you might want to bring the cutlery for the appropriate number of people to the table along with the cards. This saves the service at every table an extra trip to the guest. Adding a spoonful if necessary makes it quicker.

It's a shame, we were really disappointed. We had ordered dinner for 5 people and no one was happy. Main courses came before the warm starter, the fries were already cool and selected side dishes were exchanged without comment. Unfortunately, 1 meal only came when everyone else was almost finished. Unfortunately, the service wasn't as usual. We didn't have the feeling of being really welcome until the end. We even asked for the bill three times without success. It's a shame he's no longer our favorite Greek.

The food in the Samos restaurant is good so far. Unfortunately the portions are no longer what they used to be. And the prices are too expensive.

We get a pizza here every now and then. The quality of the food was always okay, the waiting times stated usually do not correspond to the actual ones, but that is usually due to the enormous number of customers.

Kurz zusammengefasst: Das Essen unterdurchschnittlich, fast versalzen, Service hektisch bis unfreundlich (Da wird vor den Gästen vom Personal gestritten). Bezahlen konnten wir erst nach 40 Minuten und trotz mehrfacher Bitte kam die Rechnung nicht getrennt. Das Restaurant ist darüber hinaus extrem laut. Draussen sitzen wäre vermutlich netter gewesen. Keine Empfehlung für ein zweites Mal.

Lekker gegeten voor een bijzonder schappelijke prijs. Vriendelijke en gezellige bediening. Eenvoudige maar sfeervolle setting in deze taverne. Prima aan te bevelen als je niet te hoge eisen stelt.

Jedem Koch kann mal etwas daneben gehen. Meinen höchsten Respekt, wie man mit unserer Kritik umgegangen ist. Das essen anstandslos zurück genommen hat und uns eine Alternative angeboten hat. Das erlebt man nicht überall. Das hat den Abend wirklich gerettet. Vielen Dank dafür und wir werden bei Gelegenheit einen 2. Anlauf wagen.

Wir kamen von einer Wanderung und hatten extremen Hunger. Nachdem wir durch mehrere Dörfer gefahren sind haben wie "endlich" dieses Restaurant gefunden. Von außen und innen sah es auch ganz nett aus. Als wir bestellen wollten wirkte alles sehr unkoordiniert, obwohl wir ehrs 5min am Tisch saßen wurde schon gefragt "haben sie schon bezahlt?" - obwohl wir noch garnicht bestellt haben... Nach der Bestellung welche auch einige Zeit in anspruch genommen hat, wurde uns der spruch von der Kellnerin entgegenkommen "Na hoffen wir es mal das es ankommt" Kurz um: Hätten wir nicht wirklich großen Hunger gehabt hätten wir das essen stehen gelassen. Die Keller wirkten alle sehr unkoordiniert nahmen jedoch alles mit Humor und waren sehr freundlich. Wir würden zwar nicht wieder kommen da uns das Essen nicht wirklich geschmeckt hat aber eine Erfahrung war es wert.

Zwei Sterne sind glaube ich ziemlich großzügig. Haben zu viert dort gegessen. Essen kam nach mehreren Rückfragen unsererseits dann nach einer Stunde und 40 Minuten, andere Gäste kamen später und erhielten deutlich früher das Essen. Die Portionen waren deutlich kleiner als beim letzten Mal. Bedient wurde in Jogginghose. Zu guter letzt kein preisliches Entgegenkommen trotz besagter Wartezeit von über 100 Minuten.

Gemütliches und leckeres Restaurant. Seit vielen Jahren gleichbleibende und hochwertige Qualität. Im Sommer ist die Terrasse über der Olef zu empfehlen. Aktuell steht hier ein Imbiswagen, da das Restaurant vom Hochwasser komplett zerstört wurde.

De hygiene maatregelen waren echt niet meer van deze tijd. Mondkapjes werden door de eigenaar en de bedrijfsleider half of niet gedragen. Tussentijds handen wassen was niet aan de orde. Zelfs niet tussen schoonmaken en bereiden in. Past niet in een tijd waarin we met zijn allen moeten proberen een virus in te dammen. De pizza's hebben een kant en klaar bodem. Hierdoor smaakt een gemiddelde supermarkt diepvries pizza nog lekkerder. Jammer, hier is zoveel meer uit te halen.

Leider nicht zufrieden: Lange Wartezeit bis zur Bestellungsannahme, obwohl 3 Personen im Service. Bier zu warm, sowohl Kölsch vom Faß als auch alkoholfreies aus der Flasche. Kellner brachte bei Nachbestellung direkt 2 Biere obwohl nur eines bestellt und das zweite noch fast voll war. Gyros war ausverkauft; sagte man uns allerdings erst, als wir bestellen wollten, und nicht bei Anreichung der Speisekarte. Haben dann Pizzen bestellt; waren akzeptabel. Corana-Regeln nicht eingehalten; habe nicht gesehen dass auch nur ein Tisch nach dem Verlassen der Gäste abgewischt wurde. Tische zu eng aneinander. Außen wirkte alles ungepflegt; Pflanzen aus dem Vorjahr abgestorben oder welk. Abrechnung auch bei uns nicht korrekt; Kellner kannte die verschiedenen Aufpreise der Extras der Pizzen offenbar nicht. Ouzo aufs Haus gab es für uns nicht. Auch bei anderen Gästen dauerten Bestellung und Ausgabe sehr lange. Kellner quatschen viel mit Stammgästen. Keine offizielle Abrechnung aus der Registrierkasse, sondern handgeschriebener Zettel. Ein Schelm wer dabei Böses denkt. Insgesamt Imbissatmosphäre, zumal zur Stadtseite eine Abholtheke ist. Dafür eigentlich zu teuer. Aber denken Sie daran: Geschmack ist subjektiv. (Allerdings kann man sich aus mehreren Bewertungen ein erstes Bild machen.)
