Wir hatten Champignon Rahmschnitzel mit Pommes und Salat das Schnitzel war OK und die Pommes waren gut. Die nette junge freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienung hat dafür wieder alles rausgehauen. Auch die Inhaberin war sehr freundlich.

Wunderschöne Sitzgelegenheiten auf der renovierten Terrasse; wir kamen einfach mit sechs Männern herein und uns wurde sofort ein Tisch reserviert. Wir haben köstlich in einem netten Lokal gegessen, preiswert und gutes Essen! Freundliches Personal.

Vorab: Man sitzt auch trotz aktueller Baustelle (Hochwasser 2021-Wunde) schön auf der Terrasse an der Olef. Und sowohl der sehr nette Service als auch das schmackhafte Essen lassen mich den Aufenthalt genießen. Gerne wieder. Ach: Lieber Greco, bitte einmal darüber nachdenken auch auf Kartenzahlung aufzurüsten, ich gebe trotzdem Trinkgeld 😉

Gutes Essen, freundliche Besitzer/Mitarbeiter, aber an dem Tag, als wir hier aßen (ein Montagabend), wurde nur Bargeld akzeptiert.

Super netter Empfang und sehr aufmerksam. Das Essen kam zügig, die Portionen waren mega. Mein Gyrosteller hat sehr lecker geschmeckt. Wir waren sehr zufrieden!

An warmen Sommertagen lädt es super ein draußen am Wasser zu sitzen und an kalten Tagen ist es drinne super gemütlich und warm. Wir haben noch nie so liebes und aufmerksames Personal kennengelernt. Mit jedem Gast wird gelacht und sich ausgiebig unterhalten! Man hat das Getränk kaum leer und wird direkt mit neuem versorgt. Das Essen ist einzigartig. Das Filet und das Schnitzel sind besonders hervorragend. Die Teller werden mit viel Mühe angerichtet und man spürt dass es mit Liebe gemacht wird. Sandra und ihr Mann verdienen höchsten Respekt hierfür😍 Vor kurzem noch da gewesen und mal wieder verzaubert! 5 von 7 Tagen geöffnet, 5 Tage voller Energie, 5 Tage Detail zu Liebe und 5 Tage einfach fantastisch! Was für ein wunderbarer Abend! Schon beim Betreten des Restaurants fühlt man sich wie im Urlaub auf einer kleinen griechischen Insel. Die Atmosphäre ist warm und herzlich, das Team unglaublich aufmerksam und freundlich – man wird begrüßt, als wäre man Teil der Familie. Das Essen? Einfach fantastisch. Das Fleisch perfekt gegrillt und saftig, das Tzatziki herrlich cremig mit genau der richtigen Knoblauchnote. Besonders begeistert haben mich die hausgemachten Vorspeisen – jede einzelne ein kleines Highlight. Und zum Abschluss gab es sogar noch einen Ouzo aufs Haus. Hier stimmt einfach alles: Qualität, Geschmack, Service und Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Wer authentische griechische Küche liebt, ist hier genau richtig. Ich komme definitiv wieder!

Super schönes Restaurant.Leider wurde der Griechische Bauernsalat ohne Oliven und Essig serviert. Es gab auch keine Menagen auf den Tischen.Der Salat war kaumgewürzt.Die Mitarbeiterin kam zu uns an den Tisch erst als wir fertig waren mit Essen.Ich bestellte ein 0.0 Radler und bekam ein Bitburger.Wir haben das Restaurant durch den Besuch beim Nikolausmarkt 2025 gesehn und fanden die Einrichtung super. Daher sind wir am 14.02.26 dort hin gegangen. Leider wurden wir sher enttäuscht. Wir kommen beide aus der Gastronomie. Schade. Diesbezüglich nicht zu empfehlen.

Ate here yesterday, and it was all delicious. Garlic bread, overcooked mushrooms as an appetizer, overcooked giros, and souflaki.

Nothing was missing and it tasted outstandingly good.

This was the first time I've been served a creamy mushroom schnitzel with hollandaise sauce. Upon request, it's the standard way of serving at this restaurant. I have different expectations for a creamy mushroom sauce. Unfortunately, I don't remember seeing anything like it on the menu. Otherwise, I would have chosen a different dish. Otherwise, everything was fine.

Speechless... First of all, the atmosphere on the terrace and in the restaurant is pleasant, and the service staff who were there today were very friendly... That pretty much sums up all the positive points. My review also includes the fact that we didn't pay for our stay ourselves, as we received a high-value voucher, so it wouldn't have been a problem if one or two things hadn't worked out, but holy moly, I really hope that next time I'll spend the money differently instead of on a voucher for this restaurant... First of all, we waited almost an hour for our food, which in itself wasn't a problem, but the place was empty; we were more or less the only ones there... well, at least the food arrived (unfortunately). It was truly an absolute disaster. Everything, absolutely everything, arrived cold on the table, and the portions were anything but worth the price. I'm not at all stingy and I know that people have to be paid and the venue has to be paid for, and as I said, I didn't have to pay for it myself, but even for that, it was an absolute disgrace. Honestly, what was going on? But what was truly the highlight was the gyro meat... I've eaten gyros in many different Greek restaurants, but never, ever, have I been so disgusted as with this meat. It was more lumps of fat than actual meat, and of course, the taste was accordingly. What happened next, I'd rather keep to myself... The pizza was also truly something special. Of course, opinions differ when it comes to the pizza base and dough, as to who likes what best, but I really respect that. We were there with four people, and absolutely everyone thought it was simply terrible, no ifs, ands, or buts. 😅 My advice: spend your hard-earned money somewhere else or treat yourself to a great frozen food with a good movie. It just makes more sense. I'm really sorry for saying all this here, but it was a truly wild experience.

An inviting Greek restaurant with excellent food. The gyro platter and the upgrade, the Apollo platter with garlic potatoes, are particularly recommended. A restaurant where you feel welcome and will gladly return. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They also offer non-Greek dishes (pizza and burgers).

Very limited selection on the menu. With two people, we only got one menu. And she decided on the tip herself, which I absolutely don't think is right. I didn't want to give a cent for that kind of service. But she left right away.

We spontaneously stopped into this completely redesigned restaurant and were captivated not only by the exquisite ambiance. Formerly destroyed by flooding, the restaurant has undergone significant investment to offer guests a sophisticated, appealing atmosphere on the new terrace. We ate delicious pizza and were served very attentively by the friendly and courteous staff. Long after ordering drinks, the notice that some dishes are no longer available is only gradually given. This notice would have been important before I ordered drinks and when the menu was handed to me.

The food was okay. I had gyros with garlic potatoes, tzatziki, and farmer's salad (€19.90). My husband had the Apollo platter (€22.90) with salad. My portion tasted okay, but the gyros were very large and the tzatziki was small. The potatoes were very tasty. The salad was unfortunately tasteless...as if there was no dressing on it. The Apollo platter was okay, but very oily, and the salad was the same, lacking in flavor. The service was very friendly!!! Even though it was busy and she was handling the service alone!!! I had an Aperol Spritz, and at first I thought it wasn't an original Aperol (I didn't like it at all, and that was €8.50). Afterwards I found out it was a ready-made mix from Käfer. That's a matter of taste, of course. The seating outside is very nice, but it's also quite nice inside. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant!

Excellent food and very friendly service! Stopped in after a bike ride and enjoyed an excellent meal! The owner reported that the outdoor area was restored just two weeks ago after the flood. It's a lovely place to sit by the Olef. They're still putting their heart and soul into rebuilding here!

The starters were very small portions, the salad is very poorly made and disappointing. The grill takes very long. The kitchen is very slow and there are not enough waiters for the number of tables. They don't accept bankcards for payment.

I felt like having a farmer's salad today, I hadn't been in for a long time. I looked on the internet to see the menu. Oh, I think 8.50 for a farmer's salad is reasonable... After work, no sooner said than done, a completely overworked server came to meet me and at first didn't want to make anything to take away, then well, I can make a salad in between.... Then I waited twenty minutes for a farmer's salad, some tzatziki and bread. And then I got the shock of my life, she wanted 25!!! euros from me. I asked what the information on the internet was about, that was ancient, even before the flood. In other words, that meant a 100 percent price increase!!! Card payment was not possible either.... I didn't have that much cash on me, so I went home with tzatziki and bread for nine euros. I finally lost my temper! And the place was full!!! WHERE in God's name are all the people who earn nothing, complain at a high level, and can no longer afford anything!!! One thing is certain: not in Germany!

El GRECO war für uns eine große Enttäuschung. Mein Mann hatte die Knossosplatte bestellt und ich ein Schnitzel „Wiener Art“. Es waren 2 kleine Schnitzel, eines davon war alt und zäh, das anderes frisch und gut zu schneiden. Bei der Knossosplatte war das obere Stück Fleisch schwarz verbrannt. Dies hatte ich schon bei einem anderen Gast gesehen, der neben uns draußen am Tisch saß, nur durch die Glasscheibe getrennt. Ich überlegte noch, warum er das aß und nicht zurückgehen ließ . Unsere Essen servierte die Wirtin selbst. Sie hätte es sehen müssen, es hätte erst garnicht aus der Küche rausgehen dürfen. Darauf angesprochen, völlig inakzeptabele Ausreden. Uns wurden 7.50€ nachgelassen aber ohne jegliche Entschuldigung.

From the outside, you'd be reluctant to go in. But then you'll be pleasantly surprised. If the weather's good, you can sit right by the river. The food was typically Greek and very delicious.

An absolutely fantastic restaurant! My family and I ate here as a group of four, and everyone absolutely loved it. The gyro, in particular, was incredibly good. I've never eaten such delicious and perfectly grilled gyro in my entire life!!! It was truly exceptional. Everything was perfect. The ambiance and decor were so beautifully designed that you felt truly cozy and comfortable, and the staff were remarkably friendly, accommodating, and above all, quick. And even something as small as the plates caught my eye. They were particularly large (and beautiful), so you could easily place the entire meal on them and even had room to move things around. The portions were quite large (but not too much), and there was no need to pile up anything. Thank you for this wonderful meal.

We've been coming to the El Greco restaurant for a year now. It's such an incredibly welcoming family business. We received such a warm welcome. You immediately feel "at home." Christo and his wife Sandra, along with their two children and a fantastic team, take such wonderful care of you. Every change to the food or drinks is made with a warm smile. We can only recommend it with at least 50 🌟 stars. So if you love delicious Greek cuisine (or want to rave about the mega-delicious giant pizza), you should DEFINITELY make a lovely detour to Schleiden. We're always happy to make the 40-minute drive... It's a feeling like "visiting family for a great meal." See for yourself!

Today, I went to a Greek restaurant with a friend. Unfortunately, there aren't any Greek restaurants near us in Adenau. So we drove 50 km to Schleiden, and the 50 km were definitely worth it. The food was absolutely delicious. We each got a gyro platter, and it was delicious and highly recommended. The prices were reasonable and fair. The drinks were also reasonably priced. And the service was super attentive and very friendly. It had a pleasant atmosphere and a nice ambiance, and everything was very clean. So, we've definitely decided to come back soon. Attentive, friendly people run the place. The ambiance will definitely be worthy of a five-star rating once the last effects of the flooding have finally been cleared away. The food is good, but it lacks a bit of seasoning. You can do better with typical Greek food. We'll be back!

I was at Samos, next door. They are brothers and it is admirable how they survived the flood of 2021 and continued to run and rebuild the business for their guests. The food was very good, the service attentive and very friendly.

Gyro plate didn't have enough tzatziki for 3 of 3 friends at the table (just a dollop). Burger fries had no sauce at all. Tzatziki refills were charged at 5 euros each. You can do it like that. We were desperately looking for a nice restaurant for my 25th birthday, which unfortunately fell on a Monday. We couldn't have found a nicer restaurant! The furnishings are tasteful and cozy and create a great ambience. The service is warm and courteous without being intrusive. But by far the best thing is the food! We have rarely eaten such delicious pizza and such delicious souvlaki and gyros. You can tell what quality the products have. Thank you for this great evening <3

Never before have I eaten such high quality food in this price range! Fabulous owners who almost ran the place on their own today. With a dedication and talent that impressed us immensely. The food was really fantastic!!! The politeness and warmth cannot be beaten! The atmosphere with the real grapes in the restaurant is worth seeing.

Nice Greek restaurant with a view of the Olef. Very attentive and friendly service. The food was of top quality and very tasty. The delicious lamb chops were served with garlic potatoes, which I highly recommend. It doesn't always have to be fries (which you can get if you wish). The espresso is also great (portafilter machine, not a fully automatic machine).

Das El Greco bietet leckere griechische Speisen, Salate und knusprige Pizzen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist gut, im Sommer sitzt man gemütlich auf der Terrasse und im Winter wärmt drinnen zusätzlich ein Ofen. Stets freundlicher, schneller Service - wir kommen schon lange Jahre gerne hierher!

We sat outside very nicely. Despite the construction site that still exists on the river due to the flood damage, you can sit nicely on the terrace, everything has been newly renovated and nicely and lovingly decorated. The perch turned out to be a fillet. The prawns turned out to be scampi. Not really Greek, either. No refined cuisine...

Had a delicious meal at El Greco. Extensive menu with Greek dishes and pizzas. The youngest employee was very shy and did not give the impression that he had much knowledge. Only contact payment is no longer a thing of the past.

Unfortunately, this is only our second time at El Greco! Everything was wonderful from the start! A really great family, nothing is too much for you, even when you have annoying guests you always have a smile. I get angry sometimes when people say that eating takes a long time. The pizzas are super tasty and huge. The salads are also really good. As a vegetarian you have a good choice. Sandra is always super friendly and you don't have to wait long for drinks or food. A great indoor and outdoor area are simply inviting.

TODAY, May 21, 2024, THIS "RESTAURANT" DID NOT FIND IT NECESSARY TO CHANGE THE OPENING HOURS!!! Because the opening times information on various websites and Google Maps contradicted each other, we went there briefly this afternoon to be on the safe side and found a board at the entrance that confirmed the Google information. When we wanted to eat there shortly after 6 p.m., we discovered that it wasn't open today! We would have liked to try the food on offer, but this place apparently already has enough money and doesn't need any more guests...?! NOT ADVISED!!!!! If you still want to go, be sure to check the opening times!!
