We have been moving here for 20 years. Even though the owner retired at the beginning of 2024, the change didn't really change anything... The food is great and very reasonably priced. The ambience stopped 30 years ago. It gets very warm inside in summer, even if you try very hard to counteract it with appropriate devices. You shouldn't be put off by the external appearance, even inside you might get the impression that the kitchen is no good, but that would be a mistake... The service and quality of the food are impeccable, the number of regular guests and repeat customers is enormous, we are happy that this restaurant still exists 🙏

We were passing through - and because all the other Greek restaurants in the area were closed, we went to the restaurant, which wasn't attractive from the outside. And it was worth it!!! The gyro meat was tender and not grilled to death. The fries are crispy and tasty. And the portions: simply bombastic. Both waiters were extremely friendly, but not at all intrusive. We can recommend the food and service without reservation. Only the building and the interior are not nice.

Super delicious food at really more than fair prices. Great service, absolutely recommended. It's just a shame that the owner is being harassed by the German bureaucracy and is no longer allowed to open his outdoor terrace after several decades.

Never again!!! Were there today with 6 people. The boss brings us 6 x 0.5L drinks and then they all fall over on his tablet and all over half the table. I was the first to sit at the front and now had my cell phone wallet on the table and myself down to my underpants full of cola and beer. He disappears without a word. I then drove home with my wife stuck together to shower and change etc. The 4 remaining then have another table with 4! new drinks still eaten. Apart from a “sorry” there was no response to the situation. In the end, the remaining people were asked to pay for the 2 drinks that we NEVER GOT!!! This is outright fraud!!! Of course you can spill something, but 3 liters is quite a lot and instead of giving the guest a towel or something like that, it will simply be spilled.

I'm a bit disappointed because the tavern was my favorite Greek restaurant. Today the food was burnt and the lamb chops were fried completely dry and inedible. It's a real shame but that wasn't possible today.

Over 35 years in Andernach, now new owners. Three generations romped through the cozy restaurant with the atmosphere of the 80s in their individual casual clothing. Slightly chaotic, very friendly, but always under control, mostly... Calamari top... 5 likeable Iraqi stars! Addendum, the second visit was also great.

The food is completely average. Dried meat and rice floating in oil. The ambience is typically cheap Greek. But it's good value for money.

from 04/09/24: Tavern under new management. Usual quality and taste. No wonder, as most of the service and kitchen are still there. The new owner is still a bit reserved but very nice. But he also has a hard time following in Taki's very big footsteps, so definitely give him a chance and get to know him! I continue to give you full stars and absolute satisfaction with the service and cuisine. We celebrated our communion there again and, like at Taki, it was at least as beautiful. until 04/08/24 Absolutely recommended! The owner lives for his guests and is always joking. Quality and service leave nothing to be desired. In summer you can eat wonderfully in the large beer garden, and the outdoor kitchen is also open. After the meal there is of course an ouzo!

Food delicious, price performance is good, staff friendly. But something needs to be done about the ambience. Matching pictures on the wall that fit together, modern tablecloths, chairs etc. Still satisfied. Would love to come back.

It was our first time visiting a Greek restaurant and we celebrated our wedding there. The portions are large and the food is very tasty. The staff is extremely friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. We received a gift of champagne and snacks from the restaurant, which was very nice. We can highly recommend this restaurant and we would be happy to come back there again to try the other dishes.

Terrible food! It's way too much and literally dripping with fat! It was disgusting and had nothing to do with good Greek food. The Greek in Koblenz (Syrtaki) is MUCH better! So if you want to eat delicious Grischiches, the best place is in Koblenz.

Instead of eating at the festival, we went to Andernach and spontaneously stopped at the Olympos tavern. The food was absolutely top. Service and all in all absolutely recommended. The tzatziki still had its flair two days later :-D

We were with a group of 12 and we had a very good time. Big portions and good tasting food. After dinner we were treated with a bottle of Ouzo on the house. Perfect atmosphere, with an enthusiastic and entertaining owner. When we asked for a "doggy bag" to take home this was no problem at all.

The name Salzkammer Olympos would be more appropriate. The fact that we didn't have to call the fire department was hanging by a thread. Not recommended in terms of taste, even if the quantities are generous. Staff nice, but not appropriately dressed (sweatpants, etc.) Local should be renovated. We won't be coming back.

Just quality of life being there.

Eight of us reserved a table, which unfortunately was given elsewhere. No problem, one was prepared for us 5 minutes later. As compensation there were 2 large starter plates on the house. Food: Great. For the price: unbeatable! Finally, an ice cream on the house and a bottle of ouzo for the entire table. We will be back.

After a very friendly welcome, we started with a starter platter for two people (Pikilia megali). This was not only very tasty but it would have been enough for three. Then a Socrates plate for me and Mousaka for my darling. Here too, very tasty and plentiful. There was ice cream for dessert. When I got the bill it was clear that I would be back here soon. Absolute recommendation from us.

I travel a lot because of Mondays and have therefore sat in many Greek restaurants. BUT this company has excellent food and service that you would want anywhere. So I mean, if the bottle of ouzo is placed on the table with the phrase empty it or don't drink anything at all, both are OK (kindness is worth it). There you notice that you are welcome and valued as a customer. In terms of taste, the ladies and gentlemen are in such a high league that we ate there every day for 3 or 4 days and I actually drive 200 kilometers to eat here again. Only recommended!!!

Das Essen ist wie bei fast allen Griechen sehr Fleischlastig aber auch sehr schmackhaft. Das Amuse gueule ist fast schon eine Vorspeise. Leider waren die Tische nicht ganz sauber. Am Service kann man noch arbeiten aber er war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Preis Leistung stimmen

Wir haben uns dieses Lokal ausgesucht aufgrund der Bewertung. Leider ist diese nicht wirklich zutreffend. Beginnen wir mit dem Service. Der Service war aufmerksam, schnell und freundlich. Lediglich die Bekleidung empfand ich persönlich als unangebracht. Da kann man sich ordentlicher kleiden. Zum Thema Essen : Lieblos angerichtet, geschmacklich eher im Durchschnitt. Teller waren nicht wirklich sauber. Die Preise sind aber fair. Der Laden war erstaunlich voll. Eventuell haben wir einfach nur einen schlechten Tag erwischt. Wir werden es allerdings nicht erneut aufsuchen

Seit Jahrzehnten gute Qualität und super Service. Ich war mit meiner Familie da und wir waren superzufrieden. Der beste Grieche den ich kenne, besonders der Tzatziki ist der Hammer. Werden in der nächsten Zeit wieder öfters dorthin zum Essen fahren, garantiert. Ich freue mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch!!😁

Eben einen Tisch für 2 Personen reserviert. Der Herr am Telefon war sehr lustlos und unsympathisch. Wollte noch etwas ansprechen, aber es wurde einfach ohne ein Wort aufgelegt. Freundlichkeit wird da wohl nicht groß geschrieben!

Toller Biergarten, Gastfreundlicher und Humorvoller Chef. Die Speisen sind frisch zubereitet und Superlecker.

Мест не было, я говорю, давайте придем через час, если будет место, оставьте его для нас. Он сказал: нет, позвоните и договоритесь о встрече. Я говорю, давайте выйдем под дождь, он говорит, выходите на улицу и ждите. Холодно, дождь, нас выгнали с маленькими детьми. Мы не хотим больше приходить в суд. Лучше в Noivid Chinese Food, там большой выбор и цены приемлемые. Сервис 0

Jede Imbissbude ist sauberer. Empfehlung: nicht einen Fisch bestellen.

Manchmal weiß man nicht was man sagen soll... Wir hatten 2 x Bifteki und 1 x die Athenaplatte Als Vorspeise gab es Saganaki... Welches auch in Ordnung war... Zum Bifteki ... Lieblos als Frikadelle dargeboten... An der Athenaplatte war das Gyros OK...der Spiess schmeckte gammelig...das Bifteki spottete jeder Beschreibung.... Obwohl der Laden voll war... Was ja eigentlich überzeugt.... War der Geruch in der Gaststätte geprägt von Fett und altem Öl.... Toiletten unsauber.... Tischdecken unsauber... Den Vogel abgeschossen hatte allerdings die Speisekarte.....zerfleddert...unvollständig....schmutzig.... ... Wichtige Elemente haben gefehlt... Wie zum Beispiel der Hinweis dass man pro Gericht 1.50Euro und pro Vorspeise 0.80 Euro zusätzlich berappen muss... Aufgrund der Preis Erhöhung ... Grundsätzlich kein Problem ... Man muss es aber wissen... Stattdessen wird man noch verunglimpft und diese vier Posten stehen mit 5.30 Euro auf der Rechnung...unter dem Punkt ...arme Griechenrettung !!!!!! Diese Mehrkosten gelten seit 02/23.. Anscheinend gab es keine Möglichkeit diese seit 9 Monaten auf das Gericht aufzuschlagen....in der Zeit bekommen andere Personen Babys Egal... Ein Mal und nie wieder

Wir waren vor einigen Wochen Essen gewesen. Das Essen hat super geschmeckt und wir haben eine Vorspeise bekommen. Wir sind erstmal davon ausgegangen, dass die Vorspeise zu dem Hauptmenü dazugehört bzw. zusätzlich angeboten wird. Als die Rechnung kam, war ich böse überrascht, dass die Vorspeise berechnet wurde, obwohl ich keine Vorspeise offiziell bestellt habe. Die Vorspeise hat 8,xx € gekostet. Das war eine negative Erfahrung

Wirklich angenehm überrascht. Wir hatten eine zwei Personen Platte und vorher noch Tzatziki mit zwei verschiedenen Oliven-Pasten. Zudem gibt es eine Platte mit Tzatziki, gefüllte Weinblätter, Oliven, usw. Essen war wirklich top und die Bedienungen superfreundlich. Zum Abschluss gab es noch den obligatorischen Ouzo. Wir kommen irgendwann wieder.

Nettes Personal Ambiente Ok Essen war auch sehr Gut

Wir haben im Sommer 2023 im Biergarten gesessen und hatten vollen Einblick in die Außenküche. Das es am Drehspieß und Backofen heiß ist, kein Problem, vollstes Verständnis. Sich mit dem Handtuch den Schweiß weg zu wischen kann ich auch noch verstehen. Anschließend selbiges Handtuch zu nutzen um die Ausgabefläche zu reinigen ist schon ekelhaft. Mit ungewaschenen Schweißhänden Salat aufzugeben (ohne Besteck, mit bloser Hand) ist einfach nur wiederlich. Der ganze Laden macht einen schmudeligen Eindruck und ist mit Abstand der schlechteste Grieche bei dem wir in den letzten Jahren essen waren. Ungepflegtes Personal, der Versuch mit blöden Witzen die eigene Unfähigkeit zu überspielen und letztendlich Essen was nicht einmal einen Stern verdient. Immerhin waren die Preise auf Oberklasse Niveau. So nicht... definitiv nicht zu empfehlen.

Lecker Abendessen..Service super ..hatten einen schönen Abend dort.

Sämtliche Tischdecken dreckig, egal welcher Tisch, zum Teil voll Fett und Flecken. Gyros war nur leicht angebraten. Das war der 4. Negative Eindruck, im Sommer draußen kaltes Essen bekommen, 3 mal bestellt bis ein Getränk kam. Das war es für mich. 3 Sterne auch nur weil das Essen geschmeckt hat.

Leider hat uns diese Lokalität nicht zugesagt. Wenn man rein geht, kommt einem ein alter Fettgeruch entgegen, der sich während des Aufenthaltes in die Kleidung und Körper einbrennt. Nach dem Besuch möchte man am liebsten die Kleidung entsorgen. Ich kann nicht verstehen, warum dort keine Belüftung verbaut wurde und die Küchentür durchgehend geöffnet ist. Alles wirkt alt, altmodisch und heruntergewirtschaftet. Den Besuch der Männertoilette sollte man lieber vermeiden, sofern man nicht komplett den Appetit verlieren möchte. Dicke Staubschichten und Spinnennetze waren noch das kleinste Übel! Wir waren mit die ersten Gäste!! Hier wurde also schon länger nicht sauber gemacht. Die Kellner sind nicht ausgebildet und fragen nach der Bestellung öfter nach was man bestellt hätte, trotz dass alles auf einem Zettel aufgeschrieben wurde. Des Weiteren sind einige von ihnen Raucher und man roch den Gestank förmlich, nachdem sie vom Rauchen zurückkamen und unmittelbar danach das Essen serviert haben. Es gibt kaum etwas unappetitlicheres! Das Essen wird wirklich sehr lieblos serviert. Vom Geschmack war es unteres Niveau. Die Fleischspieße sowie die Frikadellen waren okay, die Steaks und Gyros trocken und die Lammkoteletts absolut totgebraten. Günstiges Zaziki und Krautsalat aus dem Eimer. Einzig die Bohnen schienen selbstgemacht zu sein, zumindest schmeckten sie gut. Es werden große Portionen zu einem günstigen Preis serviert. Allerdings ist die Qualität der Speisen sehr niedrig. Wir sind kulinarisch nicht sehr verwöhnt, aber das würden wir uns nicht noch einmal antun. Das Duzen und Kumpel Gehabe steht hier an der Tagesordnung. Kann man vielleicht in einer Kneipe machen oder wenn man sich kennt. Fairness halber ist positiv zu erwähnen, dass vorab Olivenbrot mit Dips und als Abschluss Ouzo kostenfrei serviert werden.

Bin ich immer gern hingegangen Letztes Mal leider zuviel Hektik drumherum und der Quzo wurde einfach mit berechnet Hab zufällig auf die Rechnung geguckt Bin enttäuscht...schade

Essen gut, sofern man bekommt was man bestellt hat und nichts vergessen wird. Ambiente leider wirklich schlimm, schimmelige Plastikdecken, Schirm, ein chaotischer und unaufgeräumter Aussenbereich. Die rote Plastiktischdecke klebt. Personal größtenteils nett.

Gemütlicher Biergarten und leckeres Essen. Die Crew ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Man fühlt sich herzlich willkommen.

Leider ein wenig unglücklich an diesem Tag gelaufen. Das Fleisch war lecker, allerdings gab es für 8 Personen keine Beilagen. Nach mehrmaliger Nachfrage und Abschluss des Hauptgerichts wurden wir dann darüber unterrichtet, dass es keine Pommes mehr gibt und uns lieblos ein kleiner Teller Reis vor die Nase gehalten, den wir dann dankend abgelehnt haben. Bei der Bezahlung hat man sich dann wenig lösungsorientiert und kompromissbereit gezeigt.

Kenne das Restaurant noch aus Kindertagen als wir dort mit den Großeltern essen waren. Mit dem Älter werden, Umzug etc. dann aus den Augen verlohten. Jetzt über 30 Jahre später auf der Suche nach einem guten Griechen in der Region wieder entdeckt und gewundert das es die Taverne tatsächlich noch immer gibt. Angerufen, essen bestellt, abgeholt und es ist immer noch sehr gut wie früher. Qualität sehr gut, große Portionen und schmeckt super. Der netter Chef rundet das ganze ab. Einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt die Preise auf der Webseite sind nicht mehr aktuell. Aber wir werden auf jeden Fall jetzt mal wieder öfters kommen :)

Tolles Essen, guter Service. Zum Schluss bekommt man sogar eine ganze Flasche Ouzo auf den Tisch gestellt. Bei mir hatten sie meine gefüllten Paprika vergessen, die kamen aber dann schnell, nachdem ich nachgefragt hatte. Die Toilette könnte mal ne Sanierung vertragen.

Der Chef sollte sich entsprechend Kleiden,und sich Rassiren.Das macht eine mänge aus, Es sieht so aus als würde er von einer AbreisFirma kommen. Und die Hände von dem Gebratenen Fleisch lassen

Wir haben dieses Restaurant zufällig entdeckt auf der Durchreise mit den Fahrrädern von Mainz nach Köln und waren begeistert! Das Essen war super lecker, und die Bedienung war nett und zuvorkommend. Sehr zu empfehlen!
