Taverne Kreta in Bernau bei Berlin

Well... I think the location in the city center is very nice. Unfortunately it is a bit noisy if you have a table there in the evening. The food isn't bad, but it's not particularly good either. The garlic potatoes were almost too hard and almost without garlic. The meat was really dead for both of us. But we could smell the fish from the table two places away. Don't get me wrong. You can eat there but it's even better in other restaurants

Essen war recht lecker, aber teuer bezahlt: Gyros-Teller mit einem Bifteki extra 👉33,80€. Zur Kleckerportion Tsatsiki Nachschlag bestellt 👉 5,90€ extra… Bedienung war eher „pragmatisch“ als persönlich/ freundlich. Im Fazit nicht den Preis wert!

Food was quite tasty, but expensive: gyros plate with a bifteki extra 👉€33.80. Ordered a second helping of tzatziki for the tasty portion 👉 €5.90 extra… Service was more “pragmatic” than personal/friendly. In conclusion, not worth the price!

Great atmosphere, delicious cuisine, great staff! Very quickly and efficiently! And there are also a lot of ouzo))

I ordered the salmon medium but it came overcooked, completely unsalted and with a poor crust. The service was ok, but the waiter didn't know what I meant by the salmon cooked medium (translucent). The facility is satisfactory.

We were here for the first time today and received a very friendly welcome! The place was very busy, but every table received prompt and excellent service! Food and drinks were very good. I can especially recommend the tiramisu!!!!

We received a friendly welcome and they made every effort to provide us with a table for two people at 6 p.m. on a Saturday, even without booking in advance. The service was friendly and quick. We never really had to wait the entire time. As a welcome we were each given an ouzo. However, in terms of taste, this would have been better suited as a digestive schnapps after a meal. Unfortunately, the very sumptuous food didn't blow our minds. We would have much preferred less and tastier food. Since we were quickly full, neither of us ate it and had little motivation to take the leftovers with us. The atmosphere fits together well. Because of the cramped conditions it is sometimes quite loud, but a bit of “atmosphere” is somehow part of it. In this respect, the restaurant is quite nice and certainly worth a visit, but if you are looking for a culinary journey through Greek cuisine, you should try somewhere else.

We can recommend this restaurant. Food and drinks are good. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately nothing special at all. But maybe my expectations are wrong or too high. Great service and friendly. But unfortunately the food wasn't anything special at all. Flat in taste and completely uninspired. You can adjust the seasoning yourself. What kind of starter salad is this? Carrot strips with lettuce and a ready-made dressing. My opinion…leave it out and put more love into the main course. And it's not just about mass. And then only then would the price come in. But not like that... Sorry, I expected more and would prefer to go to the Italian restaurant in Bernau next time.

If you're already in Bernau it's worth a visit, the food is great and the prices are right.

We have been regular customers for 8 years now and it feels like a second home for us. The service is friendly, courteous and always has a smile on her face. The food is excellent, the portions are generous and the overall quality of the dishes never fails to impress us.

We visit the restaurant every 2-3 weeks and always feel very welcome. You are greeted personally and always meet polite and professional staff with an eye on the needs of customers. The food is excellent. Simply delicious and always individually adaptable. The portions are enormous, often almost too much - but what can you do with such tasty food? ;) The toilets are also in a clean condition. For us, this is an indication of hygienic work in general. All in all: We will remain loyal to “our” Greeks in Bernau... ;)

We came here spontaneously on Saturday and found it wonderful. The restaurant is very stylishly designed. The staff is super friendly and not intrusive. Children receive painting equipment straight away and feel just as welcome. The food is freshly prepared and very tasty and I also have to mention the toilets because they are also super clean and tidy. Just a place to feel good all around. We'll definitely be back, even if it's not really close to us. Absolute recommendation.

The best Greek restaurant I have visited in DE! You feel at home with the operators, you can enjoy wonderful homemade bread, the ouzo is not a sticky syrup but a fine schnapps that accompanies the dishes wonderfully. Just the way it should be! Every time we are in Bernau!

Unfortunately I was totally disappointed!!! Gyros was only warmed up, the garlic potatoes were swimming in fat on the plate. Lunch cannot be compared to dinner. (Gyros)

Hey people. So it may be that there are people who love the store, but I don't. They have a lunch special there, we thought that would be enough for the week. Choosing from the lunch menu, it took half an hour for the food to arrive. People who came after us and chose from the daily menu had already finished eating and paid. There was no salad beforehand and no bread either. One had the feeling that there were double standards. Not recommended from my experience.

Unfortunately, the six seats we ordered were so awkwardly placed on such a small bench that there was hardly any room for the food; and it was a struggle for us too! Too bad...

You are not served for over 15 minutes, no card - nothing. After we finally received the card, no one came to take the order for another 20 minutes. Plus overpriced prices. Very bad, wouldn't waste 30 minutes again

So far I have always had very good food at the Crete tavern. They are always very friendly. There is also an outdoor area. Like everywhere, the price has increased compared to recent years. In any case, I always feel very comfortable there.

We discovered the restaurant during one of our stays in Bernau and are very enthusiastic. Delicious food and a nice atmosphere outside, at least in summer. We really enjoy eating in this restaurant where there used to be a photographer/drugstore. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the food tastes excellent. You can also eat outside as well as inside. It is also beautifully located in the middle of the old town. Everything is homemade and the price is completely okay. I can only recommend the grill plate. 😋 Thanks for the nice meal. We'd love to come back😉

Unfortunately disappointing, because here the Uozo just ended up on the bill for the first time in my Greek history... And it's pretty expensive here too...

Very attentive and nice service. Unfortunately the potatoes were drowned in sauce, the chef was a little fond of the salt and the schnitzel for the little one was dry. The free ouzo was nice.

The Taverne Kreta is probably the most outstanding restaurant that Bernau has to offer. The employees are always in a good mood and have fun for everyone. The portions are generous and everyone will be satisfied here. It's always a celebration to dine there. Jamas!

Very nice and always friendly staff always on their toes. The food was really great. The taste is really great and the portions are large. The garlic bread is highly recommended, it is made by the mother herself.

Super tasty food with large portions. Friendly and fast staff and great atmosphere. All requests for changes to the meal were addressed perfectly. And there was plenty of super tasty ouzo.

We ate here for the first time today but will be back. The atmosphere is really nice and you can sit comfortably and comfortably. The service is very nice and sweet and then the extremely delicious food is a 10/10. 😍 The gyro was crispy on the outside and totally juicy. The liver was extremely tender and the pork steak was also juicy. Plus delicious side dishes and of course the ouzo on the house, before and after the meal. Everything just fits. By the way, the bread in this restaurant is homemade by mom and is really delicious. We will come back. I live 800 meters away from a Greek restaurant in Berlin, but from now on, if I have Greek food, it will always be here. That's why I like to go to Bernau. ♥️

Wie waren hier spontan, gerade so noch einen Tisch bekommen. Am besten immer reservieren, auch unter der Woche. Es war sehr voll. Aber auch gutes griechisches Essen und natürlich vieeel Ouzo.

We ordered there to be picked up and it worked wonderfully. The food itself was honestly very bad. No matter which of the 3 meals we ordered didn't taste good, unfortunately everything was also very greasy.

No lunch menu at the table. There was a chalkboard in front of the door. The restaurant was pretty empty at lunchtime. You could still eat à la carte but for €18 and up, that's pretty expensive. My wife ordered liver. The liver was burnt (black). The look of the plate also leaves something to be desired. I treated myself to a schnitzel with fries. The schnitzel was C for leather. Maybe the chef had a bad day🥴

The food was really tasty, I haven't eaten so well in a long time, the employees were super nice, I'd love to come back. Nowadays the prices are completely reasonable and the portions are huge, which as a good eater I had to fill halfway through.

Just great. The food is very substantial and tasty.

The food is only OK and nothing I will remember in a few weeks (almost not seasoned or spiced at all). Salad drowned in boring joghurt souce. Drinks are served from big bottles poured into your glass rather than individual small bottles, food comes as a number rather than the dish name you order so memorize your number when ordering. It's like an upgraded canteen... The restroom serves as a storage room (vacuum, boxes inside) ...

No, we haven't ordered and would like two seats. “Well then wait.” Lamb shank with okra, with Greek vegetables and home-baked bread €24.90 and liver pan, veal with Metaxa sauce and mushrooms €16.90, a small and a large sprayed €50.60 paid. Sorry for poor quality. We should drink Ouzo "it's included in the price" - No thanks. An espresso would be nice, puff cake. Lamb shank completely overcooked and tasteless. Same the okra - bread was good. Metaxa sauce that doesn't deserve the name. Pure cream and the mushrooms (very safe) from the can. No thanks, not again.

The quality of the food cannot be replaced by the excellent service.

We just drank Aperol Spritz and enjoyed bruchetta, it was delicious.

Wir waren am Donnerstag in diesen Restaurant essen,es war einfach lecker 😋 Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Bedienung. Wir mussten nicht einmal lange warten und das Essen war da.Es sah alles sehr appetitlich aus. Wir kommen wieder.

3 von 4 essen schmeckten gut. Das 4. Essen hat leider den Geschmack des Gastes nicht getroffen. Wir hatten das Essen zum mitnehmen. War alles gut verpackt und reichlich. Preis war auch okay mit 62 Euro für alles. Kleiner Minus punkt - die Musik war schlne grieche musik aber leider sehr laut..

Gemütlich, das Schweinefleisch war etwas trocken, geschmacklich aber i.O. Der Service war gut. Ouzo wurde reichlich nachgeliefert.

Da meine eigentliche ,ausführliche Bewertung mit den Gründen für meinen negativen Eindruck nicht gepostet wurde diesmal ganz neutral. Kann die positiven Bewertungen nicht verstehen. War jedoch lange nicht mehr da. Soll aber nicht besser geworden sein.

Wenn man lecker griechisch essen möchte ist man hier genau richtig. Die Vorspeisenplatte war sehr lecker und jedem am Tisch hat sein Hauptgang geschmeckt. Es gibt nichts zu meckern. Tolles Restaurant weiter so :)

Ein Besuch in diesem griechischen Restaurant war rundum angenehm. Das Personal war ausgesprochen nett und zuvorkommend. Selbst ohne Reservierung bekamen wir einen super Tisch. Die kulinarische Erfahrung überzeugte mit köstlichen Gerichten, die unseren Gaumen verwöhnten. Insgesamt eine empfehlenswerte Adresse für Genießer griechischer Küche!

Ambiente und Service sehr gut und besonders aufmerksam, aber beim Essen gab es leider etwas Abzug. Das Schweinefleisch war sehr trocken und leider auch sehr fest. Und preislich war bei den bestellten Platten der Unterschied nicht zu sehen. Etwas schade. Würden aber trotzdem wiederkommen
