Were here for the first time today and definitely not the last time. The food was super tasty. Very nice employees. Good, facilities a bit outdated, but extremely clean and with a certain Greek charm and ambience.

We went spontaneously on a Saturday evening and even though it was full we were able to find a nice spot. The staff was top and authentic and the food was great. Price performance was also great. It was our first time eating there but not the last time. It was so good that I even forgot to take photos.

We were perfectly served, cooked for and looked after. Everything is right here.

This Greek restaurant doesn't need another glowing review. It's always full, even in winter they serve outside for the die-hard! It has a loving decoration and is comfortably furnished, tablecloths, table pepper and salt mills, friendly, warm service, very good food and drink. Prices are reasonable, plus an ouzaki on the house. Even got a bottle of wine for Christmas. So please don't come here for that now. We are happy to get a place each ourselves.🤣

Fantastic burger, juicy and at the same time well cooked. I would suggest paprika as an accompanying ointment, it fits perfectly....

Great Greek restaurant. You get the feeling that the people who work there put their hearts into it. Quite small so it is advisable to reserve. Very large selection and great food. Since we were recently in Greece, my wife really wanted to know whether the moussaka tasted just as good here. She was thrilled and said it was even better than what we ate in Greece. The ambience is perhaps for everyone as the furnishings are sometimes a bit playful. But we like it and it all just fits together. We found the detailed Christmas decorations very nice. We'll definitely come back.

Restaurant is located on the Weed and in the old town of Bad Homburg. The food is typically Greek and incredibly delicious. You can watch the chef grill and sit comfortably in the restaurant to eat. The boss and all employees are very friendly. Very tasty food and nice atmosphere.

Unfortunately, from our point of view, a big disappointment. We were seated at a camping table in a 1.5 square meter alcove. Not for people who suffer from claustrophobia. When ordering food, we were put under pressure with references to larger parties that could preempt us when ordering. The atmosphere in the restaurant is more like a train station lobby than a Greek tavern. With a lot of benevolence the food can be rated as average. The Kavala plate offers a large mountain of meat - but of medium quality at best. Definitely not worth a second visit for us.

We went to the Kavala tavern for the first time today due to the many positive reviews. Unfortunately, we cannot understand the many positive reviews. The restaurant has been around for many years, which is clearly visible in the restaurant. It is very old. The starter, a mixed starter platter, was really okay - I would give 4 stars for that. However, the main course, 2 x the mixed grill plate, disappointed us. For 23.50 euros you get a huge portion of meat, which suggests that this cannot be high-quality meat. This was also reflected in the taste. My husband only ate half, I didn't even eat a third - for me it was inedible!!! The side dishes consisted of raw fries, Greek pasta and salad. We won't be coming back and can't recommend the restaurant to anyone who wants to eat with pleasure. The service was initially good, but then declined significantly over the course of the evening.

It has now been almost three weeks since I visited this restaurant with my colleagues. Apart from the excellent company, the restaurant provided us with a perfect evening. The table we were assigned was ideal for the number of people attending. The atmosphere in the restaurant was calm and pleasant, and the service we received was professional and very precise. From the starters to the aperitif at the end of the meal, everything was exquisite. If you want to spend a perfect evening and enjoy excellent food, visit this restaurant.

After several recommendations, I reserved a table for dinner at the Kavala tavern in Bad Homburg yesterday. What can I say, all the dishes were very good and there was no rush from the service. The restaurant was well attended, even something as simple as a gyro tasted really good there. I also had several starters, everything to my liking, it wasn't the last time I was there and I can highly recommend the place.

Food was great, service was nice and attentive. Only on the skewer I had the meat was a bit too tough, but maybe that's how it should be. But Gyros was really cool ❤️. And there was ouzo on the house 😉

Simply a disaster I wanted to have a Greek meal with my girlfriend and we were really looking forward to it. But when we went into the tavern and asked for a table for two, an older, gray-haired waiter treated us disparagingly and slammed the menu card on the table. Very unfriendly, we left straight away The restaurant is not recommended 😡NO STAR OF COURSE

We were in the restaurant with 7 people on Saturday evening. I had a 🐟 fish soup, very tasty, and the fish platter, all 🎏 types of fish were on point, juicy and tasty. I'm still excited now. The others were also very enthusiastic about their food. The price-performance ratio is still okay here. If I'm near Bad Homburg again, I'd love to come by again.

We have now been guests at the Kavala tavern twice. The waitresses are very friendly. Unfortunately, the kitchen was already closed on our second visit, but they prepared a warm starter for us. The food is super tasty and the portions are huge. We will definitely eat there again.

Expectations are fully met at a reasonable price. Cozy outdoor area in the warm season. Finding a parking space is not easy.

This is without a doubt my favorite Greek dish. And I'm willing to drive 40 km one way to Bad Homburg without complaint. Because everything is just right here. Except for the fact that nothing works without a reservation. It's always crowded here. No wonder. On the one hand, there is the wonderfully attentive staff, led by the 'boss', who warmly welcomes and serves the guests as if they were family. Speaking of family: the two sons are now also part of the service staff. And there is the outstanding Greek cuisine. With the huge charcoal grill and the show kitchen. Everything that is produced there is fanatically seasoned, always the best products. And the really cozy atmosphere does the rest. Do you now begin to understand why I always enjoy making the long journey to Bad Homburg?

We have been in Greece for 8 days. We eat in the most enchanted and beautiful taverns every day, but never once has it been as incredibly tasty as in the Kavala tavern. So we thought we would write a review from afar. Yamas!

We came here without a reservation and luckily got a table. The side salad was a bit sparse but the food was tasty. The gyros were not too dry and, above all, not overly seasoned. The staff very nice and attentive. We also liked the atmosphere. It was very crowded that evening and therefore very loud. You can really believe that the gyros do not come from the wholesale market as frozen goods, but are prepared and seasoned in-house. The side dishes were also appropriate and tasty. We had dinner at Kavala with 4 people on Sunday evening. We were warmly welcomed. The food was very good. The meat was consistently juicy. We had fun with the waiter and laughed a lot. At the end there was an ouzo on the house in addition to the reasonable bill. The atmosphere in Kavala is very nice. We will be back. Bright, cheap parking garage nearby.

Very nice, Greek restaurant in Bad Homburg. Large and varied selection of dishes, all of which are very tasty and freshly prepared. The staff is very attentive and special requests when ordering are no problem. To park, there is the festival area within walking distance, about 500 meters away. There are usually enough free parking spaces available here.
