I come here every now and then when I visit for a meal and I'm always satisfied. However, the service today wasn't very pleasant. Everything was actually great, from ordering to paying, everything went smoothly. The only issue was when I wanted to add something to my order and asked for a little lemon on my pita. I was rudely told why he should use a quarter of a lemon for one pita... I honestly don't have any major reservations about the place. But it wasn't very nice and as a fellow countryman I can only laugh and imagine my own part in it. I hope for my next visit in case it turns out that lemon tastes better to me. Regards, Christos

Today we went for pita gyros, very tasty and plentiful. And the tarama with bread was sooooo good 👍 The staff was also very friendly. We'll come here more often when we pass through Aachen.

In the summer in Aachen, many restaurants were on "summer holidays" and it may not show up on Google Maps. But this place was open. Between two beer bars and the place was pretty full (outdoors). The food is simple and our portions (gyro and liver steak(s) were huge portions (= they make you hungry!)! With a big pint, we couldn't even finish them all. Still, they tasted pretty good. And the service was great. One thing is important: THIS RESTAURANT ONLY PAYS IN CASH. We didn't notice that when we came, but luckily we had banknotes in our wallet so we didn't have to wash the dishes. 😄 The pictures show the portions when we couldn't hold back any longer. The price level is really affordable! You can actually eat here for under €10 if you don't drink beer.

Well everything is okay..except they don't accept Digital payment. Funny thing is there is no sign showing that...even Paypal is not accepted..Big Restaurant but nur Bargeld...

Most Greek restaurants are closed in August. Luckily, this one was open. The price/quality ratio is good. The staff is friendly. The sound of "summer in the city" from the loving spoonful around you. I love it.

Small tavern near the City Hotel Kaiser Karl. Very friendly service, delicious food with good ingredients. We've been there several times, whether it was gyros, liver, or pizza, it was absolutely delicious. Good value for money too. We'll be back!!!!

A Greek tavern with cheap and slightly more expensive food. The dishes are tasty, prepared on a regular basis. Menu available in English (with outdated prices, but that's a minor detail). Possibility of consumption inside and outside the premises. Very good Cordon Bleu and breast in cheese sauce with green pepper. Perfectly seasoned, slightly spicy.

But the food makes up for it - the gyros are some of the best gyros I've eaten in Aachen and the surrounding area and the zazkiki is a blast. In addition, the service was quick and very friendly - we would be happy to come back.

Wir waren nach einer Veranstaltung zum ersten Mal hier und wurden positiv überrascht. Die Taverne ist einfach eingerichtet, beim Ambiente ist sicher noch etwas Luft nach oben. Aber das Essen macht das allemal wieder wett - das Gyros ist mit das beste Gyros, das ich in Aachen und Umgebung gegessen habe und das Zazkiki ist eine Wucht. Dazu eine flotte und sehr freundliche Bedienung - wir kommen gerne wieder.

We were there on Saturday evening and made reservations just to be on the safe side. The male waiter was friendly and served as ordered. The food (scampi skewers and gyros) was super tasty. A visit that is worth it.

I came here spontaneously for lunch because a colleague raved about the gyros. My expectations were not disappointed: the gyro is nicely seasoned, crispy and juicy. Die Qualität ist grundsätzlich sehr gut. Heute haben wir mal den Lieferservice in Anspruch genommen. Das Essen (Gyros, Pommes) war lauwarm. Wurde allerdings auch mit dem Fahrrad geliefert. Scheinbar wurde die Lieferung auch kräftig durchgeschüttelt. Die Pommes lagen zum großen Teil in der Tzatziki. Fazit: Selbstabholer ok. Lieferung nein.

As a Cologne resident, I don't go to the Alexander Grill that often, but I always enjoy it. The Greek food is great (gyros gratinated with Metaxas sauce!!) and not too expensive. There is also tasty draft beer or delicious Belgian beer from the bottle. The service is always friendly and quick. And you can sit outside in summer! (if the big intersection doesn't bother you). As I said, I like going there and recommend it without reservation.

Sehr einfach. Sehr lecker. Einfach gut. Für mein Empfinden das beste Gyros 🥙 Fleisch 🥩 der Stadt. Allerdings haben die Preise auch hier deutlich angezogen: bei meiner letzen Lieferung waren es 15,40€ für ein Gyros 🥙 mit Pommes 🍟 10,90€ und ein extra Schälchen Tzatziki 4,50€ was ich schon extrem finde…, zumal da bei den 10,90€ Menü keine Tzatziki drauf war… Aber dennoch sehr lecker!

Nach dem personal wechsel sehr schwer nachgelassen vom service bis Qualität vom essen einfach nur schade.

Lecker Gyros, gerne mal wieder sollten wir in Aachen sein.

Gyros war ticken salzig aber in kombi mit der leckeren tzaziki soße perfekt. 13€ für gyrosteller mit großer Portion ist sehr fair. Mitarbeiter war sehr nett und hat essen für mich umgepackt auf nachfrage.

Unser " alter " Kellner ist super, nur was mich gestört hat, war es war alles frei,es waren nur 2 Raucher da und an einem riesen Tisch, sass eine frau und unterhielt sich mit dem "chef" Am ende des riesen tisches wollte ich mich setzen und nun sollte ich mich an einem kleinen Tisch setzen, die ausschließlich für Raucher sind Ich fand es schlimm, werde nun nicht mehr hin gehen, nach 20jahre

Das Gyros war sehr lecker, wenn auch etwas salzig. Das Tsatsiki ist eines der wenigen in Aachen, die auch etwas Knoblauchschärfe haben. Die Pommes waren gut. Das ärgerliche war, dass die Preise auf der Tafel falsch sind - 10 für den Gyrosteller wurden 12.50. Außerdem wird keine Kartenzahlung akzeptiert, was sehr unbequem ist.

Een van de leukste plekken voor een snelle hap. Heerlijk keer op keer en altijd vriendelijk en uitstekend ontvangen door de gastheer. Een echte aanrader voor de pita gyros fans. Zowel in de zomer lekker buiten op het terass zitten of in de winter binnen.

Für ein kleines Restaurant/Imbiss Charakter mit griechischen günstigen Speisen, zu empfehlen. Gyros vom Nachbar Tisch sah gut aus. Ich hatte die Rinderleber mit Zwiebeln und Salat. Die Leber war geschmacklich ok, bisschen zäh, ich hab die Pommes abbestellt, Salat war sehr einfach gehalten. Aber dafür mit 10.50 Euro echt preiswert.
