The food and service were very good, but the ambiance was a bit disappointing due to the back-unfriendly seating. It's a shame; we would have liked to stay longer.

Restaurant Review: Thesaloniki – A Culinary Short Break to Greece 🇬🇷🍖🍷 On our daughter's loving recommendation, we ventured into Thesaloniki – and what can I say? As soon as you walk in, you feel a bit like you're at "Mom's" place in the Greek taverna around the corner (just without the flight, sunburn, and sand in your shoes). The staff? Warm, attentive, and so charming that you almost expect them to have raised you themselves. You immediately feel welcome – as if you were part of the family (just without the fight over inheritance). The food? Wow. The meat was perfect: tender, juicy, flavorful – in short, Zeus himself would have ordered it down from Olympus. The portions? More than plentiful! Even hungry Spartans would have struggled to empty their plates – but we fought bravely. And honestly: When meat tastes this good, giving up isn't an option. Ambience and cleanliness? Bright, well-kept, cozy – no taverna kitsch, but with enough flair to comfortably settle down between ouzo and souvlaki. Everything is clean, but without making you feel like you're in an operating room. And then: the ouzo is on the house. What can I say? When you serve with so much heart, you'll naturally pour a glass. A delicious little highlight at the end – the perfect nightcap to roll home full, happy, and slightly tipsy. Bottom line: Thesaloniki is more than just a restaurant – it's a piece of Greece in the heart of Neumünster. We'll definitely be back. Maybe even without our daughter. 😉

Excellent service, we are absolutely thrilled! We had a voucher that we got during the Corona period to support our favorite Greek. Unfortunately we have only now found it again. He was accepted without hesitation. You rarely see such hospitality. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive and warm. As always, the food was a delight, fresh, lovingly prepared and tasteful. A big thank you to the entire team. Anyone who appreciates quality, hospitality and accommodating service has come to the right place. We always enjoy coming here.

We ate here regularly for many years, the food was good, there was only the usual gyros with fries, but basically everything was fine. Now we were eating here with relatives, the shop was open until 10 p.m. (?), we sat after dinner and chatted. At 9pm we were asked to leave. I ask why, the shop is still open. The owner's answer was that he didn't care, he was closing now. Something like that just doesn't work. The daughter is always very nice and friendly, but her father (?) has always been unfriendly. We're now going to the Greek restaurant at Lake Einfelder. You won't be served "Evcharisto / Parakalo" there, but at least the service is friendly and the food is just as good, only the fries are better. :-) The store lost 2 good customers due to unfriendly service.

A truly fantastic Greek restaurant. Delicious, varied, authentic Greek dishes, such friendly service, and a very cozy dining room. We prefer to sit in the front area (first table on the left). In spring and summer, we also really enjoy the winter garden and the terrace. We've been here many times and keep coming back.

We were there for the second time yesterday, so we were already familiar with the rustic atmosphere. We were extremely satisfied the first time. The young waitress is super friendly! Yesterday, some of the food (gyros) was too salty, and the manager stepped in, reacting quite rudely to the criticism. It was a shame and unprofessional!

Absolutely unfriendly and uncooperative boss!!! We wanted to celebrate a birthday with more than 20 people. During the preliminary meeting we were treated so unfriendly that we booked with a competitor instead. Furthermore, of course none of us will show up there anymore. It's a shame actually.

There is convincing Greek cuisine here instead of just the same selection of grilled plates (which you can of course also find here if you wish). Pleasantly attentive service and attractively prepared dishes are convincing. The cave ambience may not be for everyone, but I like it.

We (3 men) were here for the first time. Rather inconspicuous from the outside, almost like a single-family home in the settlement. Inside there is a small anteroom with a counter. Then a little further into the actual dining room, which was lovingly designed into a grotto. You have to like it and shouldn't stop you from eating here. Behind it there is a small winter garden. Served by the son, who when asked for a good dry wine then kindly brings in his dad. Clear recommendation for the 'Amethystos', which was a direct hit. Very good and helpful advice when ordering. Large meat patty for two and one with fish. First of all, a huge farmer's salad. The usual Ouzo (before meals and with the bill) from the house and a 40 year old Metaxa, as well as a relatively good espresso round the whole thing off perfectly. I think we have found our new favorite Greek. By the way, with 3 men we couldn't finish the whole thing and took 2 pieces of meat with us. Yamas

May 4th, 2024 - My subjective opinion: The food was very tasty and sufficient! The employees were very friendly. The prices are moderate. The restaurant was well attended, we'd better make a reservation next time! The former grotto of the Italian predecessor is now getting old and could use some brighter paint. July 20, 2024 update Unfortunately, the prices have been increased, which means that this unique selling point is now no longer available. It's a shame, because this was often the deciding factor in choosing to go here.

Have been regular guests for over 10 years. That in itself says it all. Particularly noteworthy is the friendliness of Ewi and now Junior Atanasios. It's always like a short vacation when we stop there.

Der Service war super, alle sehr freundlich. Das Ambiente ist ein Traum. Die Wände sind im Rohsteindesign. Es wirkt wie eine in den Berg gehauene Taverne. Das Essen war sehr gut. Wir hatten beide den Grillteller. Mein persönlicher Favorit war das Gyros und das Knoblauchbrot. Der Reis war nicht so mein Fall, aber die hausgemachten Pommes waren lecker. Meine Frau fand das Essen im allgemeinen gut, aber das Knoblauchbrot besonders lecker.

Nette Bedienung und sehr leckeres Essen. Tolles Ambiente. Werden wieder dort hin gehen.

Ich war am Samstag, 02. Dezember 2023 vor Ort. Ich hatte die Gyrospfanne in Metaxasuce mit Reis und Pommes. Der Preis dafür beträgt 18€. Eine 0,33l Coca-Cola kostete 3,40€. Das Gyros war lecker, die Pommes waren sehr lecker, der Reis war okay. Die Sauce schmeckte für mich nicht nach Metaxasauce, sie erinnerte mich mehr an eine Sahnesauce, was mal etwas anderes war und mir persönlich geschmeckt hat in Kombination mit dem überbackenen Käse. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Speisekarte gut. Leckere Gerichte. Der Wirt könnte etwas freundlicher sein.

Besser geht's nicht. Bester Grieche weit und breit und das mit Abstand. Sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Alle Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich. Weltklasse.

Wir sind zufällig aufgrund der Bewertungen im Internet zu diesem Griechen gefahren und haben unerwarteter weise noch spontan einen Platz für 3 bekommen. Das Essen war super lecker, das Fleisch was saftig und zart und der Gyros extrem knusprig. Zudem hatten wir die vorspeisen, preis leistung top. Lange nicht so lecker gegessen. Auf jedennfall eine volle Empfehlung von uns an alle spontanen in neumünster....

Unser absoluter Lieblings Grieche. Wir kommen schon einige Jahre hierher. Und wir sind noch nie endtäuscht worden. Ob zu zweit oder mit Familie zum Geburtstag, es ist immer klasse. Alle sind freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das ich an einer Zwiebel, Knoblauch und Soja Unverträglichkeit leide ist inzwischen auch schon bekannt. Selbst der Chef passt auf das alles ok ist. Wir freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal.

Have not eaten such good gyros for a long time. I was the first time there and I was lucky to get a table with my sister. We found a parking spot not directly in front but 50m down the street, as this is a living area and the restaurant is inside a regular house. My sister and I, we had classic greek food for germany. I had a plate of gyros and she had the bifteki. The fries were super good! I have not been eating these kind of fries in a long time. First time I experienced the same kind of fries in Rijeka at Fast Food City in 2015. Also when i lived in Athen, i have recognized they also had these kind of fries in some locations there. Loved them! The rice with the bit of tomato taste is not necessarily mine but with the NOT TOO STRONG Tzazitki, which some people do not like, but i liked it - went perfectly together in combo with the super juicy and on point gyros. Last week I ate at a greek restaurant in Neumünster in the Center and the meat was so badly cut and dry... no comparison! With 15euro for a Gyros might appear on the higher end of regular Gyros - but im a 125kg man and I really, barely finished the whole portion. The waitress was great! We got an ouzo in the beginning and she had very quick feet! If the chef would be as quick as the waitress - well that would be the tip on the iceberg! Great restaurant u have there in Einfeld! Will come again for sure!

Great place, little hidden but easy to find. Friendly personnel, they speak English too which was great. We had a nice dinner there, there was some Ouzo coming on the House. The inside is interesting although I didn't have a proper look as we sat outside. The cuisine is fantastic. Highly recommend, I had the mixed plate.

Das Essen war wirklich sehr gut. Der Service war relativ zuvorkommend aber in Ordnung. Das Ambiente hat sich ( wir waren vor ca. 22 Jahren schon einmal hier. Mittelalterliches Essen) nicht gändert. Kleine Farbliche Griechische Akzente fehlen noch. Ansonsten Klasse. Daumen 🤞 hoch.

Wer griechisches Essen mag, ist dort gut aufgehoben. Personal top, zivile Preise. Spontane Besuche sind fast zwecklos.Besser rechtzeitig reservieren.

Der telefonische Kontakt war derart unfreundlich, daß man den Impuls verspürt, sich für den Anruf entschuldigen zu müssen. Das Essen war, sagen wir mal, interessant. Kurzum, wir werden in Zukunft woanders essen.
