Taverna Santorini in Berlin

Wow! This was a great find for us! We were greeted by a smiling helpful gentleman that saw us directly to a table by the window. The ambience and decors were comforting without being overwhelming. Everything on the menu looked very delicious. We ended up getting the grilled chicken kebab, the fried potatoes with cheese, and schnitzel with a creamy mushroom sauce. We ordered our food and drinks and the gentleman brought out the wine and beer and free Ouzo with a delicious bread basket combined with a lovely salad. The entrees were just very delicious and very filling! If you go here (and you should) go hungry and expect very ample portions! This place makes me wish we lived in Berlin so we could frequent it weekly.

Taverna Santorini is a very good restaurant! Super cozy, the food tastes very tasty and the staff is really friendly. The gyros in particular were really good and highly recommended.

Best Greek restaurant in the area, if not in Germany, has never been as full and happy as after this meal. Everything from the ambience to the staff to the food was perfect, really recommended to anyone who loves Greek food.

Very nicely furnished, you feel comfortable in it, very nice service, all in all a successful afternoon. Only one thing, unfortunately, the meat from the grill had been on it for a bit too long, but it was still edible. We will come back

Eating on site is a solid experience. Good food, large portions, fast service. But everything on the phone? CONCERNING: Reservations "disappear", take-away orders were incorrect twice, and if you ask for a seat at the window by phone 3 weeks in advance, all you see on that day are questioning faces, everything on the phone varies greatly depending on WHO answers the phone, very, very much Gambling unfortunately

Very nice ambience with a lovingly designed ceiling that is reminiscent of a stalactite cave. The food was rich and delicious. You should actually be able to give 7 stars for the service.

Mighty tasty and lots of it. Typically Greek. Large portions and delicious extras. Not a long wait and friendly staff. I'm a good eater, but it would have been nonsense to gorge myself. A second serving is also possible later. 2 ouzo, salad and 2 flatbreads were included and there was also a small dessert. Was delicious and tasty. Ambiance was great and idyllic.

There are a few Greek restaurants to discover along bus route 101 and we started with Santorini. To make a long story short, the other restaurants on this Greek mile will have a hard time. That was great! Many thanks to the team.

Good food, generous portions and friendly, helpful staff

My friend and I had dinner and we ordered a warm plate with vegetables and a seafood plate. We both got food poisoning, probably from the fish. Never again! On top of this, the waiter was extremely bored and careless.

Personally, I have to say, the prices are a bit high. However, you get an ouzo before your meal and a small dessert after your meal. At the very end there is another ouzo on the house. This puts the high prices into perspective. The waiters are very nice and on the ball. The food tasted very good. It was particularly interesting to get Flensburgers on tap in the middle of Berlin - very tasty. Overall a great experience

Nice Greek restaurant on a side street. With the typical offering from tzatziki, gyros or fried anchovies to grilled dishes and ouzo. The staff is very friendly and nice. The 245 bus stops just a few steps away, and it is about a 10-minute walk to Otto-SuhrAllle.

The atmosphere was great, and the food was super fresh and served in generous portions—a must for meat lovers. There was a huge selection of different dishes, and the service was friendly and fast. Highly recommended!

Today we visited Santorini for the first time. And we are pleasantly surprised! All dishes were to our liking. The service was friendly and quick. You'll be happy to come back, even if it's a little cheaper at other taverns.

The menu is nothing special, but the portions are very large; Many guests leave the restaurant with a bag of leftovers to take home. Employees are nice. There are many regulars. Prices are reasonable for the size of the portions. However, the entire restaurant could be a bit cleaner; it often gives a “dusty” impression: tablecloth, decorations, floor, toilet. So there is room for improvement, but otherwise a good average restaurant that keeps the surrounding area alive.

In a quiet neighborhood well served by public transport, real Greek cuisine, tasty and balanced, abundant dishes at a fair price. Welcoming and kind staff in a clean room with traditional furnishings.

Gutes, gastfreundliches griechisches Restaurant, mit leckerem griechischen Essen. Ein Punkt Abzug für die Preisgestaltung: Das Gebotene steht leider zeitweis teilweise nicht in Relation zum Preis, so zum Beispiel am Ausfälligsten bei der warmen Vorspeisenplatte für zwei Personen.

Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und erhielten einen typischen Ouzo. Das Essen hat die Erwartung vollständig erfüllt. Die Karte ist äußerst umfangreich und man wird sicher etwas feines finden. Wir kommen wieder.

Die "Tavern Santorini" begrüßte uns mit der warmen, familiären Atmosphäre, die man von einer traditionellen Taverna erwartet. Schon beim Betreten spürten wir die Gastfreundschaft des Personals, das stets freundlich und zuvorkommend war. Wer dem Lärm der Straße entkommen möchte, findet drinnen eine behagliche und einladende Umgebung vor. Das Essen selbst war von herausragender Qualität und Geschmack. Zugegeben, die Preise mögen für manche etwas höher erscheinen, aber meiner Meinung nach spiegeln sie die hohe Qualität der Speisen und den Service wider. Es ist wichtig zu betonen, dass niemand hier vor Überraschungen steht - die Preise sind klar auf der Karte angegeben und gerechtfertigt. Ob man alleine, als Paar oder in einer Gruppe kommt, hier findet jeder ein passendes Plätzchen und ein kulinarisches Angebot, das begeistert. Ein besonderes Highlight war der kleine Ouzo, den wir stets als Geste der Gastfreundschaft erhielten. Trotz einer minimalen Verzögerung bei der Rechnungsstellung, war der gesamte Besuch ein Genuss. Die "Tavern Santorini" ist für uns ein Ort, zu dem wir sicherlich zurückkehren werden und den wir wärmstens empfehlen.

Très belle découverte, portions généreuses Nous avons pris un Gyros et un Jouvesti comme plat. Une salade comme entrée à été offerte avec le pain Grec. Ainsi que du ouzo comme apéro. Je recommande ce restaurant cela vaut le détour et on se croirait en Grèce 😝🇬🇷👩‍🍳

Wir gehen wieder hin auch wenn es für uns sehr weit entfernt ist. Ich brauche ca. 1 Stunden Fahrzeit. Trotzdem lohnt es sich.

Sehr schnelle unkomplizierte und freundliche Bedienung. Extrawünsche werden umgehend berücksichtigt. Und immer einen Ouzo dazu... In der heutigen Zeit kann man nur hoffen, dass sich solche Restaurants noch lange halten! Kommen immer gerne wieder.

Absolutely amazing neighborhood gem with authentic food in massive portions and most friendly staff. From the ouzo, to the complimentary salad and bread, from the mixed grill to fish, my colleagues and I absolutely love the place and come here very often. I've tried most things on the menu, and really you can't go wrong with anything, not to mention the amazing team running the place and a very reasonable menu price. I can wholeheartedly recommend.

Sehr schönes Restaurant. Wir waren zum "Leichenschmaus" dort. Sehr leckeres Essen, schon lange nicht mehr gehabt. Gerne auch ohne Trauer Event zu empfehlen.

Preislich im oberen Bereich, für ein griechisches Restaurant, aber das haben wir gern bezahlt, weil das Essen wirklich lecker war. Das Fleisch sehr schmackhaft und zart, das Tzatziki hat wunderbar geschmeckt und der Kellner war sehr freundlich. Wir haben uns dort gut aufgehoben gefühlt.

I should probably leave a review as I’ve been eating here basically weekly for 3 years. This is my favourite Greek restaurant in Berlin. The meat is a level beyond, great service, chilled ouzo, flensburger on tap. I eat here during the week, I take family here and I take my business colleagues here. Thanks for the gyros guys!

Ich kann beim besten Willen nicht verstehen, warum dieses Restaurant solch gute Bewertungen hat! Der Service war am Anfang in Ordnung, dafür wurde nachdem das Hauptgericht serviert wurde nicht mal nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Mein Gericht, das Metaxa-Gyros (101), war fast ungenießbar. Die Soße war sehr wässrig - man könnte meinen es hat sich um eine Suppe gehandelt... Und dann nicht mal eine Rückfrage... Und zu guter letzt wurde auch noch der komplette Preis berechnet. Defenitiv mein letzter „Besuch“. Von meiner Seite aus KEINE EMPFEHLUNG!

Ein sehr guter Grieche, in den wir schon seit Jahrzehnten gehen. Essen ist sehr lecker vorallem auch die Vorspeisen. Der angenehm kalte Vorweg-Ouzo wird zum Abschluss noch getoppt von einem leckerem griechischen Joghurt und wer mag bekommt auch noch einen Ouzo aufs Haus. Der Besitzer und seine Mannschaft sind ausgesprochen nett. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder, auch weil sich unsere Kinder hier ebenfalls immer sehr wohlfühlen.

Ein unglaublich leckeres griechisches Restaurant. Die Gerichte schmecken super gut (Holzkohlegrill!), es gibt immer einen Ouzo, Salat und griechisches Joghurt mit Honig als Dessert aufs Haus und die Preise sind echt fair! Ein grundehrlicher und stets freundlicher Gastgeber macht den Besuch im Santorini immer zu einem wohlfühlendem Erlebnis. Wir kommen gerne und oft!

Heute zum ersten Mal hier. Positiv überrascht. Nettes Personal, typisch griechische Atmosphäre. Das Essen war sehr gut und kam recht schnell. Ouzo als Aperitif war genau so wie man es sich vorstellt: eiskalt und lecker. Daumen hoch und gerne wieder!
