Taverna Pegasus in Hamburg

Wir hatten als größere Gruppe einen kleinen abgetrennten Raum. Das war sehr gut für uns. Einziges Manko, vor diesem Raum wurde geraucht und der Rauch zog ab und zu rein. Das Essen war sehr lecker und der Service sehr nett und an unsere Gruppe angepasst.

Ein freundlicher Empfang, ein schönes Ambiente und ein wirklich sehr gutes Essen. Dieser Grieche ist wirklich einen Besuch wert. Das war ganz sicher nicht unser letzter Besuch.

Diesmal gibt es nur 4 Sterne 😉 Gestern war um 20 Uhr schon das Gyros ausverkauft.... So mussten wir etwas anderes leckeres essen. Nun war wieder alles sehr gut 👍 Nach wie vor einer der besten Griechen im Norden von Hamburg.

Volle Sterne und ich würde noch mehr geben! Wir sind vor kurzem nach Sasel gezogen und waren heute zum ersten Mal dort essen. Der Herr, der uns bedient hat, war so aufmerksam, freundlich, lustig & verdammt kinderfreundlich - ihm würde ich 100 Sterne geben. Das Essen & Ambiente auch super! Meine Mutter und ich haben sogar noch zwei kleine Weinflaschen bekommen, da wir zum ersten Mal dort waren. Neue Stammgäste dazugewonnen - wir kommen wieder :-) Mein Sohn grüßt seinen neuen Freund nochmal ganz lieb.

Essen war geschmacklich und qualitativ sehr gut, die Portionen für einen Griechen eher mttel. Insgesamt nichts zu meckern, gehe ich sicher nochmal hin.

Super Essen, vernünftige Preise, super Team. Immer wieder gerne. Hunde erlaubt.

Können uns den letzten Eindrücken nur anschließen. War lange unser Lieblingsrestaurant, hat leider seinen Charme total verloren. Nur noch schnelle Abfertigung. Freundlichkeit und Service haben leider sehr abgenommen. Wir suchen uns etwas neues.

Der Service war sehr freundlich und herzlich. Das Essen ist gut aber fällt eher klein aus. Für Grieschisch eher untypisch. Mir hat das Gyros leider nicht geschmeckt es war leicht verbrannt und sehr klein geschnitten. Bifteki dagegen hat es mir besser geschmeckt.

Wir waren das zweite Mal hier. Ohne Reservierung. Das Restaurant war sehr voll, auf den ersten Eindruck sehr hektisch und laut. Wir bekamen schnell einen Tisch im hinteren Bereich. Das Ambiente hat dann auf den zweiten Blick gepasst. Keine Hektik. normale Lautstärke. Wir konnten uns gut unterhalten. Leider etwas zu lange ohne Essen, denn die bestellten Speisen ließen sehr lange auf sich warten. Der Service war noch ok. Mehr aber auch nicht. Das Fleisch war ziemlich durch und trocken. Gyros war sehr dunkel. Sehr lecker war der Gruß aus der Küche mit dem dazugehörigen Aufstrich.

Lecker Griechisch. Die Preise sind Klasse und die Portionen mehr als ausreichend

Ich verstehe nicht, warum Restaurants ihre Speisekarten immer mit so vielen Gerichten überfrachten, als ob das Qualität bedeuten würde. Mir wäre eine übersichtlichere Karte mit authentischen und hochwertigen Speisen lieber. Rund 22 € für ein ungewürztes Lachsfilet mit fettigen Kartoffeln und einer mittelmäßigen Soße auszugeben, ist einfach nur enttäuschend. Wenn es nicht zu den Spezialitäten gehört, sollte man es lieber saisonal zubereiten und dabei Wert auf die perfekte Zubereitung legen. Das Personal wirkte zudem etwas überfordert, brachte drei von fünf Bestellungen falsch auf, servierte zusätzliche Gerichte, die nicht bestellt worden waren, und vergaß spezielle Wünsche. Für mich persönlich ist es ein Wunder, dass das Restaurant so gut bewertet ist; ich hätte bei 4,4 Sternen mehr erwartet. Die Einrichtung ist allerdings sehr ansprechend und passt perfekt zu einem griechischen Restaurant.

Essen war gut, Bedienung und Ambiente ist Okay… Ich würde je eine besser Sterne Bewertung abgeben aber ich will das mir der coole KI chatbot antwortet, der für die 1 Sterne Rezension zuständig ist. 😂 Ps: Bringt mal bidde das selbst gebackene Brot zurück, das jetzige ist nicht so cool :(

unhöfliches personal , wollte erstmal rum steak gab’s dann nicht dann wollte ich lamm filet und ich habe lamm koteletts bekommen und meinte das personal ja pech können nichts ändern und das lamm filet lange braucht

Wir kommen in gewisser Regelmäßigkeit hier her, ohne uns als Stammgäste beurteilen zu wollen. Das Essen sowie die Kellner sind top, nur leider gibt es diese eine Chefin. Sie ist immer schlecht gelaunt und pöbelt lautstark vor anderen Gästen ständig mit ihren Kellnern. Beilagen werden kommentarlos vom Tisch von ihr abgeräumt, obwohl man noch nicht fertig ist. Der Knüller war der heutige Abend. Obwohl wir noch bleiben wollten und auch noch Getränke hatten (und noch was trinken wollten), wurden wir von ihr ziemlich unfreundlich aufgefordert zur Kasse zu gehen und zu bezahlen. Sowas habe ich in der Form noch nicht erlebt. Für mich hat sich dieses Restaurant erledigt

Wir waren bis heute Stammgäste, nun sind wir weg...Haben seit Jahren mind. 3x monatlich dort gegessen oder To-Go bestellt. Das die Portionen kleiner werden um die Preise nur moderat steigen zu lassen, ist ja ok. Dass man aber von der "Restaurantleiterin" noch während des Essens massiv aufgefordert wird den Tisch frei zu machen, ist schon bemerkenswert. Zwar wurde uns ein Alternativtisch angeboten, den bezeichne ich mal positiv als "Nottisch"...und wir saßen mit Vorspeise und Hauptgang gerade mal eine Stunde am Tisch. Angeblich war der Tisch reserviert, LOL. Kein "Könnt Ihr", "Bitte" oder "Entschuldigung" nur ein unpassender Befehlston. Haben uns dann entschieden sofort zu zahlen und freuen uns, dass die Auswahl an griechischer Küche in der Umgebung groß genug ist...uns und unsere Freunde wird man im Pegasus nicht mehr sehen.

Wir mochten das Pagasus eigentlich immer sehr gerne. Wir hatten uns seit längerer Zeit mal wieder etwas geholt, die Grillplatte für 3. Leider gab da nur einen kleinen Topf Tzaziki dazu... das haben wir dann erst zuhause gemerkt. Auch die Beilagen waren leider nicht so gut wie beim letzten Mal. Schade. Für den Preis war es sehr enttäuschend.

Zum 20.02.2026 hatten wir einen Tisch für 9 Personen bestellt, nach 1,5 Stunden wurden wir schon aufgefordert den Platz zu verlassen, da die nächsten Gäste schon warten. Nach 1 Stunde haben wir schon einen kleinen Tisch frei gemacht, dann nach 2 Stunden sollten wir den Tisch verlassen obwohl wir noch Getränke hatten. Den nach folgenden Gästen war es sehr peinlich. Wir waren schon sehr oft in dem Restaurant, nun aber das letzte Mal.

Schon beim Betreten war das Restaurant extrem voll. In einem Restaurant mit Reservierung habe ich mich noch nie so respektlos behandelt gefühlt. Nachdem wir an unseren Tisch gesetzt wurden, begann die Ignoranz. Wir mussten 20 Minuten warten, um überhaupt Getränke zu bestellen, und insgesamt 45 Minuten auf unser Essen. Als wir endlich Blickkontakt mit einem Mitarbeiter herstellen konnten, fragte er uns: „Sind Ihre Salate noch nicht gekommen?“ – es gab offensichtlich keine Tischkontrolle. Daraufhin haben wir die Rechnung verlangt und sind gegangen. Man merkt deutlich, dass bestimmte Gäste bevorzugt werden. Ich empfehle dieses Restaurant absolut nicht.

Trotz einer Reservierung 15 Minuten gewartet 20 Minuten auf Bestellannahme gewartet nach 45 Minuten warten kam kein Essen und Bestellung abgesagt und gegangen NIE WIEDER

Super freundlich und sehr leckeres Essen! Man fühlt sich richtig wohl und immer willkommen. Nur zu empfehlen.

Ich war zum erstenmal hier. Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt, es war umgehend jemand der fragte was wir trinken möchten. Die Vorspeise wurde sehr schnell gebracht und der Hauptgang ließ auch nicht lange auf sich warten. Das Essen war super lecker, das Fleisch war saftig und es gab Pommes die ich so noch nie gesehen habe. Rundum ein tolles Essen und sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wir kommen aus Bergstedt und der Griche ist der erste Laden seit Jahren der sich gehalten hat, dass aus gutem Grund! Das Rumpsteak war in 9 Jahren noch kein einziges Mal nicht perfekt gegrillt. Ich habe wirklich nicht eine Sache zu bemängeln am Laden! Wenn ich jedoch eine Sache bemängeln müsste, wäre es, dass man bei Abholung in der Hauptzeit am Wochenende manchmal etwas kleinere Portionen bekommt als gewöhnlich, was aber nachvollziehbar ist aus meiner Sicht.

Wir waren hier immer Stammgäste. Und vorweg möchte ich sagen, dass Essen sowieso die Qualität der Speisen sind sehr gut. Beim letzten Mal war die Dame des Hauses aber so bösartig, dass wir nun nicht mehr kommen werden. Wir kamen mit 2 Hunden, einer ganz winzig, der andere nur kleiner Pudel. Wir wurden giftig begrüßt und obwohl an die 15 Tische frei waren sollten wir uns direkt vorne in den Gang mit den Hunden hinsetzen. Dies haben wir abgelehnt, fragten nach einem Tisch am Fenster und wurden abgestraft. Wir sind daraufhin gegangen. Eigentlich sehr Schade, wir waren gerne hier.

Ich weiß, man isst keine Spagetti beim Griechen. Habe es trotzdem getan. MAN IST KEINE SPAGETTI BEIM GRIECHEN.

Es ist immer wieder sehr gemütlich, lecker und lustig.

Preis-Leistung stimmt hier noch im Gegensatz zu anderen. 1/2 L Wein für € 10,50 !!! Wo gibts noch sowas ? Alle Speisen bisher sehr gut und große Portionen.

Wir gehen da mit meinen Schwiegereltern essen weil die in der Nähe wohnen und wir sind immer wieder alle zufrieden. Ich bin selber halb Griechin und für mich ist es einer der besten Griechen in Hamburg. Vielen Dank für den tollen Service und das tolle Essen😊

Taverna Pegasus, diesmal Essen zum Mitnehmen: Wir sind seit Jahren Gäste dieses griechische Restaurant in Bergstedt. Heute hatten wir uns was zum Mitnehmen bestellt, Chtipiti, Überbackener Spinat, Überbackener Brokkoli, Pommes & eine sehr großzügige Portion Krautsalat. Einfach nur verboten gut & unverschämt lecker. So etwas verdammt leckeres auch außer Haus. Das wird nicht das letzte Mal sein wo wir dort bestellen oder vor Ort essen werden. Der beste Grieche der Gegend, wenn nicht sogar Hamburgs! Jederzeit wieder!

Wir waren an Neujahr da, haben nicht reserviert und sofort einen Tisch bekommen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich, das Essen wurde schnell zubereitet und war sehr lecker. Wir waren rundum zufrieden, gerne wieder.

I had an excellent meal. If I were from Hamburg, it would be my absolute favorite when it comes to Greek food.

I highly recommend Pegasus. All the dishes are delicious and of excellent quality. The staff are always friendly and accommodating, always with a smile and a cheeky joke on their lips. You always feel like a welcome guest. I keep coming back there with my loved ones.

The food is decent, and the service is efficient. The portions are medium-sized, and it can get quite noisy at times. Last time, my gyros was unfortunately both finely chopped and rather cold. At least it wasn't over-seasoned. There are better Greek restaurants, though.

A very nice and cozy restaurant. The food is very good, and the price-performance ratio is excellent. All the staff are very polite, friendly, attentive, and very generous (with the ouzo). Special requests are happily accommodated. In short: A restaurant you'll always enjoy visiting.

While it was a five-star experience last time, the taverna has deteriorated considerably. If you want a table for seven, you'll be shown to one that's already piled high with used glasses and dishes. The staff was only moderately friendly this time. Whereas they used to serve homemade bread, now the dip is served with warmed-up baguette. The portions have shrunk dramatically. And when taking an order for seven, they shouldn't forget a single dish, especially not the one for the youngest child. I've never before seen a waiter pass a hot pan over the heads of guests instead of placing it on the table. I've never before seen drinks placed in the middle of the table. If you're looking for a Greek restaurant, drive a few kilometers further...

We were supposed to have dinner here... But first, I had to go to the bathroom. Unfortunately, the bathroom looked worse than any bathroom on the Reeperbahn. Everything was leaking, and the toilet was completely full of pee. When I pointed out the problem outside, I was told that they were already aware of it but wouldn't do anything about it. They'll do it again later, at closing time. Unfortunately, this is completely unacceptable for me as a customer. I don't want to know what the kitchen looks like then, or how it's treated. It also seems that the customers don't value the restaurant enough to leave the bathroom clean. We decided to leave the restaurant immediately and avoid it in the future.

The food is delicious. However, it's gotten quite expensive these days. The staff is very friendly. The place is usually packed and very noisy.

You won't go hungry here. The service is courteous. The house ouzo is always welcome. 😉

But so far, the staff have been friendly. Yesterday, unfortunately, the opposite was true. We had to wait a very long time for our food; four dishes arrived at the same time, the fifth much later. Some of the food wasn't good, and a lot of it was left over. While our food was being delivered, someone was arguing loudly with another guest next to our table – but with our food in their hands! Absolutely unacceptable! To imagine someone with a wet pronunciation... sorry! After the meal, only half the food was cleared away, and three people were left with half-full plates. We weren't asked if we wanted another drink! So we decided to leave. While paying at the cash register, a glass fell behind the counter! Large shards flew across the room, into my companion's hair, and onto my leg! No apology! I was shocked and at the same time glad I was wearing long pants – it could have turned out differently! What I found saddest was the unfriendly reaction to my quiet and friendly reminder that it must have been very stressful today and that we as guests had noticed it. We understand almost everything, but a kind word to the guest, "Sorry, it's busy today, it will be better next time," or something similar, would have been nice. On the contrary, I was unfortunately treated very harshly. We left, and unfortunately, we won't be coming back...

Ordered and picked up food this evening. Gyros, salmon salad, lamb—everything was excellent. Large portions, so not too expensive. A friendly welcome—and since we had to wait, we were offered an ouzo.

Used to love coming here – now it's a disaster! We waited 1.5 hours for the starter, and you couldn't order the main course at the same time. After the starter, we skipped the main course altogether – we'd had enough. The waiters were friendly, but completely overwhelmed – no wonder when the boss sends four people on vacation at the same time. We were even advised to write a bad review. Hospitality is different – ​​we'll never be back!

We spontaneously went to Taverna Pegasus for dinner that evening. We ordered gyros in Metaxa sauce, gyros with fries, and a children's gyro plate. Shortly afterward, we were informed that the gyro was only enough for one portion. So we changed our order to a lamb plate and just fries for the child. The food arrived quickly and tasted good, but the salad, which was actually included with the dish, was missing. Even more annoying: When we paid, we didn't notice that the children's gyro plate, which was actually sold out, was still being charged. As a result, we overpaid. Conclusion: The taste was okay, but poor organization, missing side dishes, and an incorrect bill – this is simply unacceptable.

We eat here every now and then. The staff is very friendly and accommodates special requests. The value for money is excellent! The food is delicious, and you're always more than satisfied.

We ordered a Tarama for €6.50, but the cup was only half full; for that price, you'd expect more. I also ordered three lamb chops without any side dishes; the meat was less than 150 grams, and we paid €15 for them. The lamb is expensive, yes, but this is completely overpriced, and I could have found the liver on the plate, but it was delicious and tender. All in all, completely overpriced, undemocratic, and the taste is nothing special. I can find that anywhere, so I don't need to go there.

Dear Pegasus team, you only get 3 stars for the food. Unfortunately, another steep price increase, and the portions are getting smaller—that's unacceptable. €16.50 for a gyro, one of those dishes that shouldn't normally cost much. Please also offer reasonable portions for takeaways.

You can enjoy a comfortable meal here...even sit outside. The food is very good. Prices are reasonable. We've been there three times now, but always on Saturdays around lunchtime (2:30-2:00 p.m.). We managed to get a seat without a reservation, even though it was busy every time.

We used to be regulars. Lunchtime, evening, and weekends. It was always delicious and fresh. Unfortunately, the food has deteriorated considerably. Salad is soggy. Gyros are mushy and have no crust. Rice is watery. New chef? Or new owners again? Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend it. What a shame 😞

This restaurant has been our absolute favorite for seven years. We return here week after week because the quality of the food is simply outstanding. Tonight, the kitchen did not disappoint: every course was, as usual, exceptionally good. You can tell the passion and skill that goes into the work here. Unfortunately, this culinary delight was overshadowed today by the highly unprofessional behavior of the staff (not Diana). After enjoying our meal and looking forward to a relaxed end to the evening, we, after seven years of loyal customers, were practically forced to vacate our table. The reason: other guests were already waiting for a seat. This behavior is completely unacceptable and disappointing for us. As long-time regulars who have supported the restaurant over the years, we would have expected a minimum of appreciation and flexibility. There are more professional ways to deal with high demand than turning paying guests away. We could have been informed in advance of a possible time limit or offered another solution. Although the food is still truly excellent, the way we were treated that evening left a bitter taste in our mouths. It raises the question of whether the long-standing loyalty of our guests still matters here. We are deeply disappointed and will have to seriously consider whether we will return here again in the future.

What happened here? It's always been delicious over the past few years. Now it's just a run-of-the-mill Greek restaurant. The last two visits: Gyros weren't quite crispy and not as seasoned. What a shame...

Very good Greek restaurant. Warm and delicious. Even if it can sometimes take a little longer than usual, we always enjoy coming back.

At the beginning the service was great, friendly and fun. The food was good. But every time you called the waiter, no one came. If you spoke to the waiter directly, they said “immediately, immediately, immediately”. When we ordered the bill, it said straight away and nothing happened. I ran after the waiter, but we still weren't billed. And at the end you get barked at. All in all, we are very dissatisfied with the service. And then accusing us of not having made a reservation and of reacting brazenly to us is disgusting.

We had a very relaxed evening with extremely tasty and rich food. The meat in my Elena plate was very tender, well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The gratinated gyros with Metaxa sauce also tasted excellent. The piperakia and the tzatziki were just as tasty as were the drinks, which were well chilled. The Uozo before and after tasted the same. Thank you for the attentive and very friendly service throughout the evening.

Have been regular customers, especially at lunch, for years. Always tasty and good. I wanted to order two portions of gyros today and I was out with my dawdling dog. At the restaurant I was told that lunch was only available until 3 p.m. IT WAS 15.oo AND 30 SECONDS. Thank you for nothing and goodbye. I will eat elsewhere in the future. Too bad...

Perfect food and perfect hospitality!! That's how it was here until six months ago. New operators, ambience like a train station with stubbled furniture. Fast processing and no more comfort. After 40 minutes, the four of us, including the salad and food, were ready and outside again. Not even a farewell ouzo... It's a shame about the lovely evenings we've had there so far 🫣

We used to be regular guests, especially when it came to birthdays or other celebrations with 14 or more people. But the last two times were a disaster. Yesterday we came reserved with 12 people. Then we had to wait an hour to order drinks, but three drinks were forgotten. After another 45 minutes we were able to order food. After we had been there for 2.5 hours, the food finally arrived. Two dishes were completely wrong and in three other dishes no special requests were taken into account, such as no tzatziki. When this was pointed out, the tzatziki was scraped down and the plate was brought back. It's just a shame that the person in question can't eat tzatziki at all due to an intolerance and reacts to the leftover scraped tzatziki. The fries were soft, the rice was overcooked and some of the vegetables in the pan were still raw. Of the 12 people yesterday, three were satisfied. Similar experience the previous time. No consideration for special requests, long waiting times and two of the guests received their food 30 minutes before the rest of the guests. Since one order from the menu was already sold out (the scampi), something else was simply prepared without asking (the shrimp). However, said guest doesn't like shrimp. There was no offer to order anything else, nor was there an apology. She shouldn't act like that. The price was also that of the shrimp, which is of course more expensive than that of the scampi. We won't come again.

We have enjoyed coming here again and again for several years. The food is delicious, the selection is large and the service is always very nice.

We've loved going to our favorite Greek restaurant for years. However, the last few times there have been increasing mistakes and things that stand out. Occasionally it takes a little longer, but only when it's really, really busy. Unfortunately, there aren't enough staff in the restaurant, and the restaurant can't help it. What we noticed is that the portions vary greatly, and that's not okay for us. Especially the children's portions vary so much that it's unacceptable. One time there are two pieces of meat on the plate (8x15cm) and plenty of tomato rice, and the next time there's just one mini piece (5x5cm) and very little rice. Dear Taverna Pegasus team, please, please return to your old reliability. The quality of the food is top-notch, and the service is still super friendly.

Attention hygiene problem! Dogs were simply allowed into the restaurant. This is an absolute hygiene problem.

Everything was really great and recommended. Actually you can only give 5 stars, but there were dogs in the restaurant. Unfortunately, dogs do not belong indoors in front of or outside areas.

Large selection and very tasty. It is a really nice restaurant. You are served very quickly and the portions are plentiful.

We were there on Saturday with a birthday party (13 p.) and were absolutely disappointed. After asking several times, the food came after about 90 minutes, although we can only speak of improved snack quality here. Then each plate came to the table individually with a gap of 15-20 minutes, so that eating together was not possible. Two meals were only delivered upon request, one starter was immediately forgotten, but I tried to charge for it later. There was no apology; instead, it was pointed out that the other visitors would also be waiting that long. The service was haphazard and uncoordinated. By the way, my lamb fillet was a mini portion consisting of three thin strips (well under 100 grams) and fries, which you could also count (€ 26.50). Afterwards I went to MCD to get my fill. The kitchen was overwhelmed, the service was unfriendly and unprofessional and clearly failed in its intended purpose. Unfortunately, this store ruined the entire birthday - it's a shame! Conclusion: In other restaurants you feel much more perceived as a guest and are treated as such, and this tavern doesn't offer good value for money. Recommendation: 0

Never again. If you make a reservation you will have to wait over 90 minutes for your food. People who ordered more than half an hour after us received their food earlier.
