Just like you imagine a good Greek to be. Delicious food, large portions, fast friendly service. A fantastic large terrace in summer.

The food was top as always. The service, however, was again disinterested and inattentive. We had to request drinks at the bar ourselves as no waiter came to the table. Guests are processed objectively. The host in shorts sits at the table and drinks ouzo with a few important guests. Here you don't experience the hospitality that you would expect from a local Greek. Not again for the time being.

The phone call to make the reservation was very promising. You were personally greeted by name over the phone. Then on the day of the reservation there was disappointment. We waited almost an hour for two starters and another 30 minutes more for the main course, both of which were abandoned at the beginning. Visitors after us had already received their food. Service staff paid no attention to us or even inquired about themselves. When we asked, the only explanation was "We're very sorry, but the order was forgotten and will be prepared immediately." There wasn't very much going on at the time. Very weak in my eyes. As compensation, there were two desserts on the house, but they were not impressive in terms of quality and were not eaten to the end. In addition, one of them differed significantly from the description on the map. Unfortunately, the staff preferred to be involved in internal conversations rather than paying attention to the well-being of their guests. And instead of telling us personally that the restaurant would soon be closing, they sat down with their own food and started tidying up and cleaning. That was the 1st and last time I go there. Very unfortunate.

Best Greek in Hamburg, very friendly and more than great food

The food is excellent, the hosts are very welcoming and there is a great atmosphere in the restaurant.

Unfortunately we were disappointed with our visit. The gyro was very greasy and despite having a reservation we had a very shaky and modest seat. Unfortunately the atmosphere wasn't typically Greek either.

The tastiest Greek restaurant I know

1. When asked about lactose in a dish, the answer was “no” twice. The food was served plain – with obvious lactose in it, as it turned out! Neither the (not very interested) waiters nor the cook knew that the dish contained a significant amount of milk. 2. Absolute inflexibility with the food, e.g. swapping side dishes. 3. Various dishes appeared like ready meals. That would also explain the inflexibility. 4. The "roasted potatoes" are not; They are pre-made, fried "potato" slices, more like French fries in a different form. We know this from (cheaper) Greek restaurants, but the menu shouldn't pretend otherwise. 5. Given the various mistakes, we would have expected some kind of accommodation at the end of the evening. That didn't happen - and therefore fit in with the overall lack of service. Given the ambience and prices, you can expect something different. Should appearances hide what is most important (food and service)?

If you like authentic Greek cuisine, this is the right place. The food is always great, the staff is friendly and you always have a good time, both in summer on the special terrace and in winter inside with the cozy, chic atmosphere.

These impressions are based on a first and so far only visit. Even though ONIRO doesn't have a unique selling point, it is undoubtedly one of the better Greek restaurants. The dishes are largely typical, but of high quality and very tasty. The salad, in particular, is significantly tastier than in other Greek restaurants. The service is friendly and attentive, but lacks the otherwise typical Greek warmth. The restaurant is apparently very busy, so it will be difficult to get in without a reservation.

The restaurant is modern and stylishly furnished. The furnishings are cozy and you feel at home. The staff tries to be friendly, but is often hectic and stressed. This occasionally leads to misunderstandings, which don't necessarily have to be the case. The food in the restaurant is great. In addition to the classic large Greek dishes, there are a lot of tapas, i.e. small dishes that invite you to try them out. This is ideal, especially for people who can't decide, as almost every large dish is also available in a small version.

Tasso has been no longer the owner of Oniro Restaurant for a little over a year. And you notice that... The food has gradually but steadily deteriorated. The meat used to be better and even the roasted potatoes don't taste the same anymore. Too bad! Previously our regular Greek and favorite restaurant, today it is no longer our choice when dining out. As sorry as we are... Tasso has fulfilled a personal dream with the renovation and you can feel it. The furnishings are really nice and stand out from the various “rustic, cozy” Greeks in Hamburg. With the renovation, the leap into modernity finally came, although comfort was not neglected. So you can spend a nice evening with delicious food in a great atmosphere. The numerous Greek tapas, the meze, are particularly recommended. But the rest of the card doesn't have to hide either. The quality and taste is simply great! We always enjoy coming back, whether as a couple, with family or with friends.

My absolute favorite restaurant all over Hamburg! We go here again and again and fall in love a little more every time :)

The restaurant looks tasteful and modernly decorated. The food was very tasty. We had souflaki, it was buttery tender meat. The service was very friendly, but it lacked the typical warmth that Greeks usually have.

Loud music, expensive and small portions. Unfortunately salad only with vinegar, instead of a real salad dressing

The service was friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately I can't recommend the food. Roasted potatoes were fried. Tzatziki was not homemade. Minced meat was dry and completely the same in all dishes ordered, just in a different form. Food was served within 10 minutes, which supports my suspicion that the kitchen focuses on fast food rather than typical Greek cuisine. Unfortunately. Atmosphere is nice.

A really tasty Greek place where you get great Greek tapas.

Ate here several times, always outside. It was always tasty, but the visits are marred by the unpleasant smell of the garbage containers that are on the street. Outdoor area is very large, when it rains, it is protected with a large awning. Beautifully shaded by trees in summer. Good selection of wines and spirits. Service is sometimes very attentive, and sometimes not at all, which was a problem during our visits.

Unfortunately, the service was completely overwhelmed. 3 different waiters; there was no ouzo or bread; the starter came with the main courses; I had to go to the bar myself to pay because no one came even after the third signal. The food wasn't particularly good and there was smoking at half of the tables.

Auf Empfehlung eines Bekannten sind wir heute einmal im Restaurant Oniro gelandet. Die Neugierde hat uns sozusagen hier vorbei geführt… Der erste Eindruck war sehr gut. Die Atmosphäre ist schön, das Lokal und der Biergarten sauber und aufgeräumt. Einmal ins Impressum geschaut sahen wir, dass es sich wohl um ein indisch geführtes Lokal handelt. Das sollte kein Problem sein… Wir bestellten zwei Juvarlakia, eine typische griechische Fleischklößchensuppe in Ei - Zitronensoße. Hier war es eine Gemüsesuppe mit Klößchen, die uns von einer Kaugummi kauenden, schmatzenden jungen Kellnerin serviert wurde. Auf Nachfrage, ob wir einen Löffel zur Suppe brauchten, fiel uns keine Alternative ein und sagten „ja bitte“. Die Suppe selbst war geschmacklich in Ordnung, aber nicht das, was wir als Juvarlakia kennen. Der Kellner meinte „es gibt Unterschiede, wir sind hier in Deutschland!“ Hm… Kurzum, das Gyros mit Reis war in Ordnung, dass pikante Hacksteak war teilweise nicht durch, der Rest in Ordnung. Zu den meisten Gerichten werden „Röstkartoffeln“ aus der Fritteuse angeboten. Eigentlich unüblich bei ein Griechen. Wenn schon Röstkartoffeln, dann bitte mit Zwiebeln und Speck aus der Pfanne! Liebe Leute, seid nicht böse, aber hier ist definitiv noch Luft nach oben. Wir kommen irgendwann noch einmal wieder und gucken noch mal. Und bitte noch einmal das Rezept der Juvarlakia anschauen, und bei den Tomaten den Stielansatz entfernen. Mit Augen zudrücken geben wir hier mal 3 Sterne, mehr ist nicht drin. 🤷‍♂️

The food this place serves is excellent. If you don't like smoking give them a call and reserve a table inside. Very comfortable and friendly greek restaurant. You get lamb, chicken, turkey, fish etc.... I like their salmon and mixed fish-plate a lot. But you can really order everything, it's cooked and fried on spot. Very good. Wine, beer all good quality, but make sure you get the shot of ouzu at the end. Fabulous. But you better give them a call, it is sometimes close to its max capacity and you need to wait.

On the recommendation of a friend, we ended up at the Oniro restaurant today. Curiosity led us past here, so to speak... The first impression was very good. The atmosphere is nice, the restaurant and the beer garden are clean and tidy. Once we looked at the imprint we saw that it was probably an Indian-run restaurant. That shouldn't be a problem... We ordered two juvarlakia, a typical Greek meatball soup in egg-lemon sauce. Here it was a vegetable soup with dumplings that was served to us by a gum-chewing, lip-smacking young waitress. When we asked if we needed a spoon with the soup, we couldn't think of an alternative and said "yes please". The soup itself was okay in terms of taste, but not what we know as juvarlakia. The waiter said “there are differences, we are here in Germany!” Hm… In short, the gyros with rice was okay, the spicy minced steak was partly undercooked, the rest was okay. Most dishes are served with “roasted potatoes” from the deep fryer. Actually unusual for a Greek. If you have roasted potatoes, then please with onions and bacon from the pan! Dear people, don't be angry, but there is definitely still room for improvement here. We'll come back sometime and take another look. And please look at the Juvarlakia recipe again and remove the stems from the tomatoes. With a blind eye we give this 3 stars, nothing more is possible. 🤷‍♂️

This time we sat outside in the beautiful weather. Very pleasant. You should reserve in advance for the weekend. Start relaxed with delicious tapas. There is always a salad beforehand. The main courses taste very good. Great place.

Delicious and very quick, great outside on a summer evening

07/2024 Arrived at the restaurant without a reservation around 17:15. Despite many reservations still got a central table for 1.5 hours. Fast service, order, the drinks came to the table quite quickly. You have to wait about 15-20 minutes for the food you ordered, which is not a problem. The food was served very warm and very well presented. In my opinion, the taste was very good, the portions plentiful, so the price/performance ratio was totally OK. You can eat in the restaurant and in the garden area which can also be "closed" from above.

We have been regular customers for many years, unfortunately I have to deduct stars now. Price increases are now commonplace in restaurants, but why are your lamb skewers half the size they were before? Unfortunately, it's not as juicy as before. The gill vegetables were soaked in oil, unfortunately not olive oil either. Too bad :(((( Thank you for the feedback. Recommend they go back to the original meat. Considering the prices….

We were at Oniro yesterday and weren't entirely convinced. First of all, the positive: The service is great: quick and warm. And you sit very nicely. To eat: Greek salad - delicious, with cherry tomatoes, which gave the salad flavor. Zucchini chips and pita everything is fine. Tzatziki a bit bland. Tarama - didn't seem homemade to us. Grilled calamari in white wine sauce - they come lying in the sauce, so there isn't much left of the grilled meat. Beetroot in garlic and vinegar - little taste. Feta Psiti - the tomatoes were few and far between, the onions were too raw and we didn't quite understand what the sliced ​​peppers from the jar were supposed to be. So all in all there was more shadow than light for us.

Wir waren gestern im Oniro und waren nicht gänzlich überzeugt. Zuerst mal zum Positiven: Der Service ist toll: Flott und herzlich. Und man sitzt sehr schön. Zum Essen: Griechischer Salat - lecker, mit Kirschtomaten, das gab dem Salat Geschmack. Zuccini-Chips und Pita alles fein. Tsatsiki bisschen fad. Tarama - schien uns nicht hausgemacht. Gegrillte Kalamari in Weißweinsauce - die kommen in der Sauce liegend, da bleibt vom Gegrillten nicht viel übrig. Rote Beete in Knoblauch und Essig - wenig Geschmack. Feta Psiti - die Tomaten war dünn gesät, die Zwiebeln zu roh und was die geschnittenen Peperoni aus dem Glas da sollten, hat sich uns nicht so ganz erschlossen. Also alles in allem war da für uns mehr Schatten als Licht.

Das ONIRO im Wandel der Zeiten. Seit Jahren bin ich hier Stammgast. Die Speisen und Getränke waren besser als Durchschnitt. Doch seit mehr als 6 Monaten läuft es nicht mehr gut, was besonders für den Service zutrifft. Die angebliche Restaurantleiterin arbeitet hier nicht mehr. Ein langjährig tätiger Mitarbeiter führt sich auf, als wenn er der Boss wäre. Einige Beispiele: Vor rund 1 Jahr sprach er mich an, ( wir sind nicht befreundet oder privat bekannt), dass er 2.000 € benötigen würde.. Bei einer anderen Situation stand er am Bartresen und war am Essen. Da kein anderer Mitarbeiter vorhanden war, bat ich ihn, unsere Bestellung aufzunehmen. " Du ( Gäste werden von ihm oft geduzt) siehst doch, dass ich beim Essen bin". So musste ich warten, bis er fertig war. Danach bestellte ich Baby-Calamari, die mir dann gegrillt serviert wurden. Ich wollte sie jedoch frittiert haben. Ich hatte nicht die Bestellnummer aus der Karte genommen, dafür hatte er sie eingetragen. Das sprach ich zum Schluss an, und bat um Kompensation in Form von einer Kugel Eis. Dem folgte er mit dem Hinweis, ich wäre verantwortlich für die Bestellnummer, obwohl er sie vorgegeben hatte. Oder hätte ich ihn kontrollieren müssen? Heute nun die nächste Erfahrung mit ihm. Nur 1 Tisch war zur Mittagszeit besetzt. Der Mitarbeiter hinter dem Tresen brachte mir die Speisekarte. Heute hatte ich mir die Bestellnummern gemerkt. Nun wartete ich volle 5 Minuten, um meine Bestellung aufzugeben, während der Mitarbeiter mit seinem Kollegen einen Smalltalk am Tresen abhielt. Nun rief ich ihm zu, dass ich bestellen möchte. Statt einer Vorspeise und einem Hauptgericht bestellte ich zwei Vorspeisen: Baby-Calamari und Garnelen in Öl. Der andere Mitarbeiter brachte mir Brot mit Dipp. Kurz danach erhielt ich meine 2 Vorspeisen gleichzeitig. Eigentlich hätte ich erwartet, dass erst eine Vorspeise und danach die nächste serviert werden würde, was nicht der Fall war. So verspeiste ich erst die Calamari und danach die mittlerweile fast kalten Garnelen, die nicht gewürzt waren. Die geraspelten ( fast aussehend wie Pulver) Ministückchen Knoblauch erbrachten keine Schärfe. Danach sprach ich den Servierer an, er möge es beim nächsten Mal aufteilen, erst eine Vorspeise und danach die nächste. Nein, belehrte er mich, das müssen Sie ansagen. Das wird hier immer so gemacht! " Und Sie können mich nicht vorher fragen, entgegnete ich. Nein, dass ist Ihre Aufgabe. Im Übrigen, fügte er hinzu, " beim letzten Mal habe ich Ihnen ein Dessert ausgegeben, obwohl Sie auch da mir nicht die richtige Bestellnummer gegeben haben. " Aber die haben Sie doch selbst festgelegt ", sagte ich. Es drohte ein längeres Streitgespräch. Ach ja, die Baby Calamari erinnerten mich eher an Kaugummi. Vor kurzem hatte ich zweimal Leber bestellt, die vollkommen durchgebraten und mit Sehnen durchsetzt war. Fazit: Die Qualität vom Essen hat nachgelassen, der Service ist - besonders von einem Mitarbeiter- inakzeptabel. Schade, es war mein Lieblingsgrieche! Aber die Zeiten haben sich geändert.

For us, less of a “classic” Greek but rather a little less original but more well-kept. It's lively inside and the atmosphere is very nice. The food is very good, the portions are not very large. What should be highlighted is the excellent selection of open wines for a Greek restaurant and the very friendly service. Worth a visit!

Absolutely fast and friendly service. If there is a problem, it will be solved immediately! We had reserved a table almost 4 weeks ago, but it then went to someone else with the same name! Annoying!!!But... As I said, a solution was found straight away and we were able to enjoy our delicious food! Because the food is really so delicious that you would definitely want to recommend this restaurant. You really feel very comfortable and would love to come back! 😉

Very nice Greek restaurant, nice atmosphere, very friendly and attentive service. Everything is right here. This time I had Giros gratinated with Metaxa sauce, unfortunately one star deducted, the Metaxa sauce was a little thin and should have been a little thicker. But as I said, everything else was great, maybe it was just a personal impression, but it still tasted very good.

Wir kommen seit vielen Jahren gern ins Oniro und waren immer sehr zufrieden und haben die gute Atmosphäre sehr genossen. Dieses Mal war das Vergnügen geschmälert, weil die Freundlichkeit doch auffällig auf andere Gäste verteilt wurde. Sehr schade und auch nicht verständlich.

Schön eingerichtetes griechisches Restaurant direkt an der U Lattenkamp. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und man kann hier gut verweilen. Ist gerade am Wochenende etwas voller, daher macht es Sinn zu reservieren. Zum Essen selber: ist okay aber nichts besonderes. Preislich etwas teurer als bei anderen vergleichbaren Griechen, deshalb ein Stern Abzug. Fazit: wer in einem wirklich schönen Ambiente griechisch essen möchte, ist hier richtig.

Das Restaurant ist mir seit langem bekannt. Besonders im Sommer sitze ich hier gern draußen. Das Essen war immer ok. Nicht wirklich besonders. Die Qualität hat m. E. kontinuierlich abgenommen. Der Salat, den es zu/vor den meisten Hauptspeisen gibt, besteht aus kleingeschnittenen Salatblättern, einer viertel Tomate und einer halben Scheibe Gurke. Das Ganze beträufelt mit einer Salatsauce aus der Flasche/ Tube. Mein Fleisch (Hühnerschenkel ohne Knochen vom Grill) war nicht richtig durchgegart. Dazu gab es viele Röstkartoffeln und wenig Tzatziki. Die Bedienung war flink, aber recht unverbindlich. Es gab mit der Rechnung, die mit gutem Trinkgeld bezahlt wurde, keinen Ouzo. Das war schon mal anders.

Mein absolutes Lieblings Grieche in Hamburg und Umgebung. Sehr sehr leckeres Essen, das Ambiente ist sooo schön und der Service Top.

Wir waren hier ohne Reservierung, wurden extrem freundlich empfangen, haben trotz des vollen Restaurants, einen schönen Tisch bekommen, wurden sehr freundlich bedient, haben wirklich lecker!! die griechische Küche genossen, keine Chance alles aufzuessen...wir haben den Rest ohne Nachfrage verpackt bekommen...Also, wir kommen schon bald wieder...sehr bald. Danke für die freundliche Gastfreundschaft, ungekünstelt....einfach nur nett...Das Essen...der Hammergenuss....Unbedingt hingehen...!!!!

Die Grillplatte mit Fleisch war nichts besonderes und sehr salzig. Als unsere kleine Gruppe keine Getränke mehr bestellen wollte, wurde uns sehr deutlich gesagt, dass wir bitte bezahlen und gehen sollten. Es waren mehrere andere Tische frei und keine anderen Gäste haben auf unseren Tisch gewartet. Gemütlich ist anders.

Sehr nette Mitarbeiter und top Essen, hier ist ein Besuch mit den Freunden und Verwandten das mindeste wert. Super lecker war unser Essen was uns komplett gesättigt hat und den Ouzo aufs Haus haben wir ebenfalls genossen :)

Ein schönes Ambiente mit nettem Personal und schmackhaftem Essen. Alle Wünsche wurden erfüllt. Und zum Abschluss gab's auch den obligatorischen Ouzo.

Leckere Speisen, sehr freundliches Personal und schönes Ambiente. Wir waren super zufrieden mit verschiedenen Vorspeisen, Lamm, Leber und den Salaten. Wir kommen wieder.

Eingeladen von griechischen Freunden besuchte ich zum ersten Mal dieses Restaurant in frisch und angenehm renovierten Räumen bei für mich etwas zu trüber abendlicher Beleuchtung. In dem voll besetzten Lokal gab es, überreicht von einer sehr freundlichen und aufmerksamen griechischen Bedienung, die üblich umfangreiche griechisch betonte Speisenkarte mit auch guten griechischen Weinen. Die ausgewählten Gerichte waren aber sowohl geschmack- als auch konsistenzmäßig sehr gut zubereitet und ordentlich angerichtet. Es gab nichts zu beanstanden.

Service Chef ist wirklich eine sehr professionelle Leitung. Essen von den Portionen mehr als ausreichend. Geschmacklich sehr zu empfehlen.

Leckere Vorspeisen und kein "typischer Grieche" mit Schlachterplatte, sondern viel Auswahl für Tapas, vegetarisch oder mit Fleisch/Fisch. Service war sehr aufmerksam. Alles fein. Wir kommen wieder.

Schickster Grieche bei dem ich gegessen habe. Portionen sind vernünftig und der Preis dafür ist angemessen.

Ein gutes griechisches Restaurant mit einer vielfältigen Karte. Hervorragend die Fleischgerichte und die Beilagen. Der Nachtisch ebenso gut. Alles mit einem guten Preis- Leistungsverhältnis! Nur die beiladende Unterhaltungsmusik sollte etwas von der Lautstärke angepasst werden. Aber das ist ja heute in vielen Restaurationen in Mode gekommen. Der Service ist gut und freundlich.

Immer wieder lecker👍 und oft ungeschlagen gut.

Verschimmeltes Brot bekommen, wurde ausgetauscht, aber ohne Entschuldigung oder sonst was. Das hätte ich so nicht erwartet.

Sehr gutes Essen, tolle kleine Vorspeisen, aber auch grosse Hauptgerichte. Service wunderbar, sehr aufmerksam. Dazu noch sehr tolle gemütliche moderne Einrichtung! Wir empfehlen es weiter und kommen wieder)

Speisen 1a, sehr schön auch die kleinen Speisen a la Tapas, sehr aufmerksamer Service. Komme gerne wieder.

Gute griechische Küche, sehr freundliches Personal, tolle Terrasse

Super freundliches Personal! Schönes Ambiente mit moderner Ausstattung. Ein kleiner Abzug entsteht durch die überschaubare Portionsgröße und die zu lang frittierten Kartoffeln und Pommes. Sonst war es sehr lecker und hübsch angerichtet.

Außerordentlich lecker, insbesondere die ganzen Vorspeisen sind der Hammer!

Sehr schöner Sitzbereich, drinnen wie draußen. Die Qualität was bei allen besuchen excellent - bis auf wenige Ausnahmen habe ich mich dich für gesamte Karte gegessen. Die Auswahl an Meza ist gewaltig. Das einzige Manko ist leider der Service. Das Personal ist super und bemüht aber es sind leider zu wenig, wenn der Laden voll ist. Geduld ist also gefragt ;)

Ich durfte gestern einen schönen Abend im Oniro verbringen. Wir hatten die Calamari,die wirklich sehr gut waren. Ansonsten ein ganz normaler Grieche mit Pommes und Gyros. Das Ambiente hebt sich lediglich von dem Rest ab.

Besonders im Sommer auf der Terrasse tolle Stimmung und hervorragendes Essen. Bester Grieche für uns.

Leider kann ich die positiven Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Der Service war freundlich aber wohl angesichts der Vielzahl an Gästen vollkommen überfordert. Nach einem wohlschmeckenden Salat wurden Vorspeisen und Hauptgang gleichzeitig serviert. Das hatte zur Folge, dass der Hauptgang kalt gegessen werden musste. Zudem war das Fleisch (Lammkotelett, Gyros) trocken und hart und daher kaum genießbar.

Schade, man hatte uns diesen Geiechen empfohlen. Das Fleisch war hart und trocken. Der Reis war kalt und überteuert 3,50€ extra. Die Musik war wie in einer Disco. Wenn ich griechisch Essen gehe möchte ich griechische Musik. Zum Schluss keinen Ouzo! Bei uns in Langenhorn gibt es 1-2 Ouzo . Bedienung war nicht umsichtig. Also für uns, nie wieder. 👎
