Taverna Athos in Leinfelden-Echterdingen

The food and service were good. When they said at the end that payment was only possible in cash, I initially thought it was a bad joke, which unfortunately turned out to be true. Unfortunately, that is absolutely not possible for me these days. I also missed the digestive ouzo.

Excellent choice for Greek flavors in the heart of Europe! Amazing food and service! We highly recommend it! Keep doing what you are doing, the result justifies you!

If I make a reservation for 10 people, it's a bit strange that it's only set for 9 guests. My starter was served at the same time as the other guests' main course. My food was served very very late. When it comes to the kitchen, I would like to say: there is a lot of room for improvement. My food was super hot but very little seasoned, in other words little taste. To my drinks. The Aperol Spritz was simply weak, apparently the Prosecco had only seen the carbonation from afar. The shandy was also just not very refreshing. Conclusion: I won't go there again.

Were here for the first time and wanted Greek food again! Easy to find, large room, nice and attentive staff! Large, sufficient portions, so price/performance totally ok! The only negative point from me is the format of the menu, a bit unwieldy and takes some getting used to!

A little gem, cosy greek restaurant in a small town. Found by chance. Great food, service, and hospitality. Not expensive and well worth the money. Will definitely come back if I have a chance to be around here again.

Actually 4 stars for me, but since card payment is not possible I unfortunately have to deduct one star. It's a must in a restaurant for me these days. Gyros was a bit too dry/crispy for my taste.

Everyone in service is very, very friendly. The food was very good. It was a little noisy because the building was built in the late 70s/early 80s and soundproofing wasn't an issue back then.

We were there for the first time. The interior of the taverna is beautifully decorated with colorful tiles and colored chairs. The service was excellent and attentive. My meal (sea bream with vegetables and rice) was very tasty. For dessert I had galaktobouriko and it was the best I've eaten around here in a long time. Price-performance ratio is right. I can absolutely recommend this taverna. When it's full, it's very loud inside. That's the only downside.

Very tasty food. Great, friendly service. The prices are right! A little insider tip, disguised as the clubhouse of a tennis club. But it's definitely worth it. We'd love to come back!

Service and food were good the second time too. I have no experience with octopus yet. He wasn't quite what I had imagined. A little hard but so far pretty good. Price performance was quite ok.

There was a side salad dressed with vinegar and oil. OK Breaded and deep fried squid were very tasty. And my dad has patience. Very tasty pasta casserole with minced meat. We were both full and we even had to take some of the casserole with us. Staff very nice and attentive. We will be back.

The inside of the restaurant is really more than beautiful, it's cozy and you feel like you're in Greece thanks to the beautiful background music. You hardly noticed that there was a tennis tournament right outside the door. The food was very tasty and the service was also great. We'd love to come back.

Beautiful ambience - authentic Greek food - shared food - trying it together and eating it together is the motto. Two vegan menus on the menu. We tried stuffed peppers and it was very good. Price performance fits

There were six of us in the taverna and if you want to have a really good Greek meal, this is the place for you. Super delicious food, generous portions, cozy atmosphere and a host who is brimming with hospitality. We will definitely come back.

Very tasty food and friendly service. Unfortunately, the big ending comes at the end: "No, we don't accept card payments." No notice beforehand, e.g. when reserving a table. That could have been embarrassing. This sort of thing is just standard these days. Therefore, significant compromises in service and no fifth star.

Very very tasty authentic Greek cake

Wanted to try the restaurant. The atmosphere was really very inviting and the service was nice and friendly. However, the taste of the food was rather mediocre and not at all digestible afterward; we struggled a lot the day after. Unfortunately it was like that for everyone. Hope this was something unique as the staff is really friendly and willing.

Had the mixed grill plate. Gyros were cut relatively thick and yet very fatty and not very flavorful. The souvlaki was also lightly fried. Tzatziki little garlic but okay. All in all, at €19 without salad, it's too expensive for the quality. Atmosphere beautiful and super cozy. Service warm and nice.

The Taverna Athos is perfectly located next to the tennis hall and is beautifully equipped. And in my opinion also suitable for large groups. The food and selection are great, large portions and very tasty. I was there for the second time and I really liked it. The service is also super friendly and accommodating. Gladly again. Found Taverna Athos “by accident” when looking for another Greek restaurant in Echterdingen. The service and were EXCELLENT and we had a great dining experience here. Had a great conversation with Ares, whose dad recently opened the restaurant at the Stetten Tennis Club. I look forward to another meal at Taverna Athos the next time I am in Germany. Ausgezeichnet!

Wir waren zu dritt zum Abendessen dort. Das Essen war sehr gut. Ich hatte zur Vorspeise gebackene Zucchini, als Hauptgang die Lammhaxe und einen Nachtisch. Wir waren alle sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen und werden wieder kommen. Wir wurden sehr zuvorkommend und aufmerksam bedient. Danke für den tollen Service und das gute Essen.

Essen war sehr gut. Service eher unmotiviert, aber insgesamt war es okay.

Sehr lecker, schöne atmosphere, service hervorragend, sehr zuvorkommend schnell und sehr freundlich, waren 3mal da unterschiedliche Speisen, Fleisch und vegitarisch einfach nur lecker zubereitet, sehr zu empfehlen!

Essen war lecker und reichlich. Mal sehen, ob die weiteren Besuche zum fünften Stern führen.

Freundlicher Service, sehr große Auswahl an Speisen und faire Portionen. Sehr gute Qualität. Auch hundefreundlich, aber besser vorher anmelden, damit Wuffi auch ein ruhiges Plätzchen bekommt. Wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Besuch

Gyros mit Pommes war leider etwas kalt, vielleicht gerade noch warm. Geschmacklich gut . Bedienung sehr freundlich . Taverne sehr gemütlich, werden es nochmal probieren.

Das Essen war hervorragend. Ich habe nicht mal in Griechenland so gut gegessen. Die riesige Auswahl an "Meze" ist super. Der Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Leider etwas steril und ungemütlich finde ich das Restaurant selber. Es lädt nicht zum "Verhocken" ein. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und die Taverne Athos von ganzem Herzen weiter empfehlen.

Wir haben das große Los gezogen!!! - und sind dankbar und glücklich, dass sich die Taverna Athos so gut im Tennisclub Stetten etabliert hat. Dimos Karadimos und seine Crew haben in jederlei Hinsicht die Herzen und die Gaumen ihrer Gäste im Sturm erobert - das sieht man an der täglichen Frequentierung der Taverna Athos. Vielen herzlichen Dank, dass wir als Tennisclubmitglieder jetzt wieder einen Wirt haben, zu dem es Spaß macht hinzugehen und dessen leckere Speisen und den extrem freundlichen Service wir sehr genießen!!!

Tolles Griechisches Restaurant, schöne Atmosphäre, super Service, von der Vor-bis zur Nachspeise alles super lecker und große Portionen.

Sehr gutes Restaurant. Gute Auswahl an unterschiedlichen Gerichten. Sehr aufmerksam. Ist ein wenig unscheinbar als Gaststätte an einer Tennishalle. Richtig gut 👍.

Super süßes Restaurant mit tollem authethischen griechischem Essen. Wir waren extra vor der eigentlichen Stoßzeit bereits um 17Uhr mit Reservierung da und hatten trotzdem etwas längere Wartezeiten. Der Service wirkte etwas überfordert, da auf einmal sehr viele Tische kurz nach uns kamen. Zum Essen: Etwas schade finde ich, dass man zu Vorspeisen, die man offensichtlich mit Brot essen sollte, den Brotkorb immer extra dazu bestellen muss. Der Tzaziki hatte für mich viel zu wenig Wumms. Alles andere war wahnsinnig lecker. Portionen super. Gerne wieder 🥰

Unser Hund war auch willkommen! Daher nehme ich mir gerne die Zeit für diese Bewertung: Wunderschönes Ambiente mit Wohlfühlfaktor! Super nette Begrüßung und Bewirtung. Tolles Team und netter Chef. Griechenland Feeling: da die Küche original griechisch ist und kein typischer "Grillteller Poseidon" angeboten wird. Alles was wir hatten und das waren viele kleine kalte und warme Vorspeisen und verschiedene Hauptgerichte haben hervorragend geschmeckt. Dessert konnten wir nicht mehr testen - das nächste Mal! Auf der Terrasse lässt es sich auch schön sitzen. Es ist ein Restaurant, jedoch darf man auch nur etwas Trinken und dann doch noch ein, zwei, drei Meze dazu bestellen :-) Parkplätze reichlich vorhanden, da auch die Stettener Spielwiese/Wanderparkplatz genutzt werden kann. Toller Spaziergang im Wald und Waldspielplatz regt den Appetit an. Der Tennisclub kann ich natürlich auch sehr empfehlen. Schaut rein und informiert euch.
