Unfortunately, I can't give a good review. When I walked in, the restaurant smelled strongly of fish. I don't know if that's a good thing. Not even a fish shop would smell that strong. The atmosphere was also mediocre. The meat dishes had good portions. I didn't like the tzatziki at all. It had a strange aftertaste. But that's a matter of taste. The staff were friendly. However, no one came to ask for drinks, so we didn't order anything else. It's okay as a snack bar, but not a cozy atmosphere as a restaurant.

Cliché Greek Lots of meat, ready-made sauces, dry, soggy fries, and no vegetables even if you ask for them.

The store was empty. The wait was long. The server wasn't particularly friendly. The taste wasn't convincing. Too bad.

Six of us were there last week. At first we didn't want to be seated outside, but suddenly we were! The aperitif, or whatever it was, came on the house in glasses that were long past their best. It didn't look nice and tasted like wine mixed with water. The food itself wasn't particularly tasty either; everything was bland and not particularly well presented! The salad was the worst I've ever eaten; a few lettuce leaves and a piece of tomato were swimming in oil with no salt or anything else! We won't be coming back under any circumstances!

The location is central, which makes it quite noisy outside. The portions are very large, but unfortunately the flavor is rather bland.

I ate there three times in a short period of time. The service was very friendly and prompt, as was the kitchen. The food was served quickly and tasted excellent.

A no-frills restaurant right on a main road with a traffic light intersection – if you like it, grab a seat outside and just take in the hustle and bustle. Very "Berlin." It didn't bother us. The service, the food, and the value for money were all perfectly fine – they even included a shot of schnapps on the house afterward. We were satisfied!

Super fast service, large portions at a fair price. The welcome drinks were a nice touch—but since I don't drink alcohol, I didn't get to try them. I like trying new restaurants, so I might not be back anytime soon, but I definitely recommend it!

Delicious! First, we were greeted with aperitifs, and then Uzos gave us both on the house. We actually each ordered a gyro plate, which was not only delicious and plentiful, but we also got a salad here and garlic bread there... Lovely place, we went there after a couple of drinks. The server were fast and the food was prepared quickly. The food tasty if possible a side of fries would have been 5 stars. Overall I can recommend this place without reservations

WE GOT FOOD POISONING! Don't eat nor drink there! . We Ordered Gyros... And wanted to order beers (which are two times the average Berlin price) but got told we couldn't sit there so we ended up eating and drinking at the speti across the street... It totally makes no sense when the terrace and whole restaurant is empty... Who invented this rule?

The worst gyros and Greek salad😭😭😭

This is what I imagine Greek to be like when a Greek forgets the spices while cooking! Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the food. I ordered a grilled plate with lamb skewers, suzuki, gyros, and feta. The fries weren't salted, and the meat tasted like it was only seasoned with a lot of salt and very few dried herbs. Barely a trace of the typical Greek flavor and fresh herbs. I'm giving it one more star because the lamb was at least cooked medium. The piece of feta also seemed very bland. It was just a small slice of raw feta. I was kind of expecting something baked when it's called a set meal. The worst part was probably the salad and the dry baguette for the appetizer. The salad didn't have any coleslaw or dressing. Instead, it had very cheap and tasteless oil. I could bet it wasn't olive oil. The baguette was just sliced. Nothing extra... Service is good.

Unfortunately, it wasn't so good today. A dried-out orange slice was used as a garnish for the meat dish. The gyros was hard and dry. Probably scraped from other plates and then sold again.

The souvlaki is really good and fairly priced, but the two older gentlemen serving are brusque and unfriendly.

It's okay. It's average compared to the rest of the country. Classic appetizers like grilled pepperoni aren't available, and unfortunately, they're not even available, although cold pepperoni is available. The goal seems to be to reflect average food with good quality. This succeeds. The staff is friendly, and the food is prepared quickly. The restrooms are clean—the floor is just a little sticky.

We were particularly impressed by the very attentive and quick service. We had just sat down and already had the house aperitif in front of us. An ouzo was delivered with the meal and again with the bill. The dishes were very good and rich, so that we felt completely at home. 😋

Went there a long time ago and completely forgot to give a proper review here. In addition to very good service, I remember the ambience as something that was, let's say, slightly in need of gentle modernization. Since I rarely eat Greek, I naturally go for the classic gyros when I get the chance. And it was really flawless, well seasoned and tasted good. So I would go back to it anytime if I had a lust for it. In terms of transport, it is really well located and at a stop on Prenzlauer Allee, it is also really easy to reach for non-regulars and will almost certainly have its target group and regular customers. Really really happy to come back. Thanks so much.

Food OK, service is top, interior is getting old

This is a solid Greek restaurant. Nice welcome including aperitif. The food is really tasty and the portions are generous, but not excessive. The prices are reasonable and of course there's ouzo too. We'd love to come back.

A typical Greek restaurant with a very meat-heavy menu and lots of Uozo between courses. The portions are huge and the food is very tasty. A pleasant atmosphere and friendly service round off the visit.

“Unfortunately the visit was not convincing. The meat in the gyro seemed very mysterious – the taste and texture were unusual and left us wondering what we were actually eating. The service was the only good thing. Also the food was drowned in gravy which made everything soggy.

Everyone was very helpful and friendly...but I wouldn't go there a second time. The eye eats too. A request to the chef...if I had wanted to eat a mountain of raw onions, I would have ordered a lot of onion rings. The knife was probably too blunt! The onion rings were cut too coarsely. I have never experienced that in a Greek restaurant before. They should be thin!

We were there in a larger group and I had salmon and unfortunately found it very watery. The rest was ok for me. Some of my companions found the food very good and others not. Compared to other Greek restaurants in Berlin and the surrounding area, it honestly didn't invite me to go again.

The meat was so grilled that it tasted bitter. In general I have been to many Greek restaurants in Berlin as it is my favorite cuisine, but this was the weakest. The salad wasn't good either, just a mix of bagged salad with an acidic dressing. Instead of Greek pita there was a piece of baked bread of poor quality. The portions were large, but there are many better Greek restaurants.

Apparently there is more homemade food here than in most Greek restaurants. And VERY GOOD!!! The tzatziki didn't have the usual thin consistency and had a pleasant hint of garlic. The Bifteki were already noticeable because they had a different shape than usual in Berlin. It was also very tasty.

Very tasty food. The garlic bread does what it promises. Price line is also great. You should travel by public transport. There are only paid parking spaces on site

The service is very friendly and accommodating. We were immediately shown to a table and given a homemade aperitif alongside the menus. The food was brought quickly and was plentiful and tasty. We were definitely not there for the last time.

As I Greek I wouldn’t try going anywhere else

Coming from Greece and being new in town, I have to confess, than the food and the hospitality had exceed every expectation!!

The typical Greek in the neighborhood. Food was good. But I wonder why everyone always uses garlic powder instead of fresh garlic. You can just taste it strongly.

I was invited there for my birthday. The restaurant is huge with a large outdoor area, at a noisy intersection. The menu with many strange creations made me suspicious if you know Greek cuisine. I have family ties to Crete and have lived there and in Athens for a time, am there at least twice a year and can therefore rightly claim to know a little about the food there. The food ordered here ranged from huge baguette flaps filled with tons of garlic and strange cheese, along with some tomato, to bland salads with no dressing (the cheapest oil and vinegar were on the table), a moussaka that didn't deserve the name (it was a pile of minced meat that was mixed with an indefinable sauce and a few small pieces of potato and eggplant and sprinkled with parmesan) to so-called baked potatoes , which were served in a reddish, indefinable sauce. The lamb chops were probably ok, but you can't go wrong with them. I'll spare everyone here further details from the other guests, it was definitely the most subterranean experience in terms of Greek cuisine in Berlin, although overall you can say that it's not the best in Berlin, compared to Munich, for example, and I I'm expressly not talking about high class cooking, but about tasty, down-to-earth cooking Good cuisine that does justice to the country. You can only praise what is offered here if you are far from being a good cook or don't have even rudimentary standards of taste. I don't even want to report on the restaurant's completely outdated furnishings; if it faded into the background, the food would be okay. But as it is, both externally (furniture) and internally (food) it's ugh and definitely not recommended!

Oh yes, Taverna Apollon. A Greek restaurant like there are many and where you shouldn't expect anything out of the ordinary. Nevertheless, we have been coming here regularly and happily for many years. The menu is full of meat, but also offers a few vegetarian alternatives (unfortunately still no grilled vegetables as a side dish 😉). The plates are pretty full, the price-performance ratio is really good and the waiters are all very friendly. The bifteki and the grilled pork fillet are highly recommended... always juicy and tender. Solid 4.5 stars. But I still give it a total of 5 stars, thanks to our favorite waiter <3

Very casually ordered gyros to take away as it was late. Had one of the best kebap sandwiches (like döner) in Berlin. I don’t want to start a war saying which one is better 😂 but you can taste and decide. P. S. Loved the pita bread here that comes with the gyros. Service was fast and courteous.

An evergreen of the gastronomy scene in Prenzlauer Berg. Always very tasty, moderate prices and great service.

Wenn ich in Berlin bin, kehre ich gerne hier ein, so auch dieses Mal. Das Lokal war gut gefüllt, das Personal ist freundlich und umsichtig. Trotz hohem Kundenaufkommen hatten Service und Küche alles im Griff. Nach der Bestellung ließen weder Getränke noch Speisen lange auf sich warten. Ich aß Sikoti (Leber) mit Pommes. Die Leber war schön dünn und gut auf dem Grill gebraten. Auch die dazugehörigen Zwiebeln waren schön knusprig.

Amazing greek food! Portions are massive, but that's the only negative I have found;) food felt like "grandma used to make". Strongly recommend. Friendly staff to double down on the 'home' feeling. Tried moussaka and vegetarian pasta options. Prices are slightly above what I expected, but given the sizing it didn't feel expensive. Will come back and report for more!

I didn't like the food. My minced meat with sheep's cheese didn't taste particularly good. Fries were served without mayo and ketchup, where you had to ask for them first. Only the ouzo was typically Greek.

Just great! Nice service, food on the table in a flash, ouzo and more for free - and when you look at the bill, you're amazed that you can still get enough food in Prenzlauer Berg for less than €20 per person! I searched for a long time for a 'real Greek' - I found it!

Wir hatten heute via Wolt um ca. 17:00 bestellt. Ich schreibe fast nie Bewertungen, aber das war leider schlimm. Es ist uns immer noch schlecht. Die Speisen waren die Lammkoteletts mit Pommes (Paidakia) und Bifteki Spezial. Leider hatten wir Hunger , sonst hätten wir es recht schnell weggestellt. Das Letze mal das wir so was gegessen hatten ist bestimmt so lange her, da gab es das E-Werk noch und nach einer durchfeierten Nacht in irgendeiner ranzigen Eck Bude. Selbst die Qualität (auch wenn uns nicht schlecht wäre) war schwach, sehr schwach.

Typical urban Greek who will be remembered neither positively nor negatively. Service was good, there was no skimping on free ouzo. Food was also okay, the portions were sufficient, although the gyros on my grill plate were a bit too dry. The majority of the main courses cost less than 20 euros. One request: If salad is served with your meal, please don't be so imaginative or careless. Then it's better to leave it out and serve bread or olives instead.

The atmosphere was very warm, the staff was friendly and smiling. Despite going there last minute on New Year's Eve, the service was exceptionally fast.
