Good vegan selection. The food was delicious. The ambiance was nice, but I found the chairs a bit uncomfortable—especially if you stay for a while.

We stopped by spontaneously and were immediately warmly welcomed - it was easy to visit without a reservation. I was particularly pleased that dogs are not only allowed here, but really welcome! The owner is incredibly nice and attentive, you immediately feel at home. The food was really tasty and authentic, like a short vacation in Greece. The atmosphere, especially outside, was also very cozy, romantic and inviting. We'll definitely be back!

We spent a wonderful evening at Taverna Alpha. The employees were super accommodating and friendly. The service was top and the food was very tasty. Eating out Greek as a vegetarian is usually difficult. Here we got a large selection of different dishes and everything tasted great. Service, food and the ambience were great, we'll be back!

Definitely not again! The portions are tiny and the prices are extremely high. The Greek owner is probably happy about the high margin. When I asked the waiter for a recommendation for a vegan dish, he said, "I wouldn't recommend a vegan dish at all." Then vegan bifteki was recommended to me. I mentioned that I heard the vegan moussaka was very good. His answer: "No, almost no one takes them." Nevertheless, I trusted the waiter's recommendation and received a dish with food worth a maximum of 2.50 to 3.90 euros, which was sold for almost 20 euros. We also ordered appetizers worth around 10 to 20 euros (for three people) as well as a bottle of wine and other drinks. We all went home hungry. They really wanted to sell us another dessert, but we refused. This is all about money. The pricing for the meat dishes was slightly better, but all three guests were still dissatisfied. Unfortunately, the Greek owner's casual sayings don't help either. Even if you take into account the ouzo that was handed out at the end, the price-performance ratio is really abysmal. I'm sorry, dear owner, but that's outrageous!

The food is incredibly delicious, we have eaten here several times and every time it has tasted great! We have yet to find a Greek restaurant better than this one. The staff is very nice, the restaurant is also very nicely decorated and there are also vegan and vegetarian dishes that are really tasty (which many restaurants unfortunately don't have). The sweets are also to die for. I can only recommend ☺️ The only thing I would like would be more selection of soft drinks, like iced tea and stuff, but otherwise everything is perfect.

When you come in, you immediately feel really comfortable. The atmosphere is totally relaxed and beautiful and you can really enjoy your evening there. The food there is honestly really delicious, I would have liked to eat everything if I hadn't been so full. And the owners and employees are just incredibly friendly. So absolutely recommended!!!

Went there yesterday, the food was delicious and the staff were all very nice and funny. The owner in particular made me laugh so hard that I cried. I think his name was Fakis.. Kind regards, my best friend, next time 2-3 ouzo for me.. the driver..

This restaurant impresses with its delicious food and its interior. We were warmly welcomed and fed. The staff were able to sense what we wanted straight away and recommended absolutely the right wine. The lamb was tender and the calamari was grilled to perfection. Discreet music in the background and international guests. I would say it is perhaps even the best Greek restaurant in the Hesse area. We will definitely come back.

Dieses Restaurant überzeugt mit seinem Essen, Interior, Farben und Dekoration. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und in jeder Hinsicht sehr gut bedient. Ich würde sagen, dass dieses Restaurant das beste griechische Restaurant in ganz Hessen ist. Die Bedienung ist höflich und konnte genau erfühlen, was richtig für uns ist. Es wurde uns der absolut passende Wein serviert, das Lammfleisch zarter wie es nicht sein kann, die Kalamaris perfekt gegrillt, die Musik dezent im Hintergrund. Für dieses Restaurant kann ich absolut nichts beanstanden, daher gibt es von uns die volle Punktzahl.

Modern and traditional Greek cuisine at fair prices. Casual and pleasant atmosphere.

We celebrated a friend's birthday here yesterday. It was my first time here and I found the food very good. However, this positive impression was ultimately massively tarnished by the owner. The reason was the initial request for a glass of tap water, which was rejected. And finally, at the end, the somewhat misleading communication from the owner regarding the ouzo or the sweet and the reimbursement of costs. Nothing big that could have been easily clarified in a normal conversation. The owner, however, made a big deal out of both, becoming loud and verbally abusive. In short: I'm afraid it will just be one visit.

We ordered takeaway. The food was super tasty and even though we ate after 1.5 hours, the food was still soft. The gentleman on the phone was super nice and very friendly. They also gave us a bottle of Tsipouro as a gift. I am very very satisfied and grateful. In any case, I recommend this restaurant.

Very good restaurant with many vegan dishes.

A short vacation in Greece has never been so affordable... and without leaving Frankfurt! We were here today for the first and definitely not the last time. Due to the friendly, courteous and, above all, warm manner of the staff, you would immediately have the impression that you have been a regular guest for ages. People asked several times whether everything was okay or whether they had anything else they wanted, even though it was really well attended! The chicken souflaki and moussaka we ordered were a dream and the portions, both in quantity and quality, were absolutely priced appropriately. I personally think it's a good thing that the portions here aren't as huge as in some other restaurants, so you at least have the opportunity to try an appetizer and/or dessert. In our case today we had the yogurt cake and we were completely happy with our choice for this evening!

The Greek restaurant is a real treat for the taste buds! All the dishes were delicious, full of authentic flavors, and the prices were very reasonable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, making the time spent there very enjoyable. A big plus for the option to pay by card!

Taverna Alpha is truly a sensational shop. The restaurant is located on a quiet street, has a beautiful outdoor area, and feels very familiar, even if you're there for the first time. You're greeted nicely, you're looked after, and it's just fun to sit there and watch. What you get for your money is also sensational. We chose the starter plate, the lamb, and bifteki. Plus, of course, two myths. All the dishes were outstanding and the price was absolutely fair for the quality and quantity. I was a little annoyed that I didn't order the octopus. The reaction of the lady at the next table after trying a bite was outstanding. But then I just have to come again... At the end there is traditionally an ouzo on the house, which is sorely needed after such a good portion. And then you stroll home, with a full stomach and overjoyed!

Tried all the starters and found them to be good. The potato fries that come with the fabulous souvlaki are terrific. If I were to write a feel-good food cookbook, moussaka would be on page 1! The dessert of Greek yogurt, cherries and cookies is a must-order even if you're not a big dessert fan. It has now become quite crowded inside, but you can pass that off as the cosiness of a tavern ;-) The service is courteous, always attentive and authentic. An absolute top recommendation for friends of Greek cuisine!

No fresh cuisine, the traditional Greek dishes are convenience products refined with far too many herbs. That was very disappointing, the beefteki was totally over salted. Unfortunately, I can't agree with the good reviews. The service was very friendly and you still felt comfortable even if the price-performance ratio wasn't right.

Enttäuschend. Im Service ist eine Dame die genervt und pampig die Bestellungen genommen hat. Keine Kinderkarte. Die Portionen für die Preise die aufgerufen werden ist ein no go! Unabhängig davon alles Fertigprodukte und nicht lecker. Wir kommen hier nicht wieder hin! Komplette Selbstüberschätzung der Küche, wenn man die wahre griechische Küche kennt!

A visit to Taverna Alpha is like a short vacation. The staff and the boss are just super warm. The decor is warm and very original. The vegan dishes are delicious and very seasoned, very tasty. I had the vegan moussaka for the first time, simply fantastic. We always enjoy coming here. Maybe the menu will grow to include a vegan gyro at some point?

The first time I ate at a "Greek" and didn't get full. I would have liked at least a little salad with the fatty gyros for around €17.

Very nice Greek restaurant. The food was very tasty and the service was great. There were more of us than planned but in the end it worked out that we could all sit at one table. The wine that my colleague chose went well with the lamb, bifteki etc. The appetizer platters to share were delicious

Keines dieser Kriterien ist erfüllt; der Empfang und die Platzierung sind unausgewogen; die Akustik ist schlecht; der Service ist unaufmerksam; die kulinarischen Fähigkeiten werden überschätzt. Unser erster Besuch war sehr enttäuschend, Bedienung wohl überfordert und auch nur nett wenn man nichts zu beanstanden hat. Wir hatten ein Haar im Essen und der Kellner war sehr pampig als wenn das dem gast seine Schuld war und das bekommt auch das ganze Lokal mit. Preisleistung ist auch nicht ganz ok bei den kleinen Portionen. In der heutigen Zeit ein echtes no go. Das wird für uns keinesfalls ein nächstes Mal geben!!!

Beautiful food and excellent service. The grilled octopus was the best I’ve ever had. The moussaka was also very special and there is even a vegan version. Definitely try the homemade lemonade and the desserts.

Unfortunately I didn't have a good experience. The fries were soggy and greasy, the bifteki was unfortunately a disappointment. We were there for several hours and the service was unfortunately poor. Drinks were only available when we called someone…

Best Greek Restaurant. Everyone is super friendly, Uzo often gives it on the house and the waitress puts in an incredible amount of effort. I can't agree with the people who say that the portions are too small (see photo). I always get full (as a 1.90 guy). Absolutely recommended for the price for the quality and the fact that everything is homemade.

My absolute favorite Greek restaurant in Frankfurt! The food and service are top notch every time! After countless visits and no matter how stressful the operation was, I found the owner and staff to be in nothing but the best of moods. However, it is best to make a reservation in advance - although they make an effort to always be able to offer every visitor a seat, I am not alone in my enthusiasm for this restaurant :)

We had a very stressful weekend in Frankfurt. But the visit to Taverna Alpha was our absolute HIGHLIGHT. We registered at very short notice on Saturday evening, and although all tables were reserved, they were able to offer us a 1.5 hour slot. In these 1.5 hours we lacked NOTHING. In summary, an extremely delicious evening with friends. If we didn't live 200km away we would certainly be guests more often. But we’ll definitely be back anyway ❤️
