We also went to this beautiful and service-oriented restaurant for our Aachen girls' weekend. Not only was the service very good and quick, we enjoyed delicious and fresh food at a great price/performance ratio. We can only recommend that.

We ate sushi and Japanese udon noodles and both were very tasty. The sauce on the noodles was really extremely tasty, but for the price the sushi wasn't any better than in cheaper restaurants. The service was nice and the food came very quickly.

Great cuisine, fresh food, great service and the ambience is nice too. A good Asian restaurant at the Eilsengalerie. The only drawback is that, in contrast to the buffet restaurants with all-you-eat, you need a starter to be full. I had spring rolls as a starter and duck as a main course for around €28, plus drinks = €50 and I wasn't really full. For €35 I can eat and drink as much as I want somewhere else. But everything is great here every now and then.

If you live in Aachen and love Asian cuisine, then you should definitely visit this restaurant. Very beautiful interior. The menu and service are also excellent. We were pleased. Be sure to order one of their soups as an aperitif. And, sushi, of course.

It is a very nice place, with comfortable chairs and nice playlist. The service is very nice and can also speak in English so that is very helpful.

Taumi is an Asian chain. Here you will find delicious food and friendly service. Unfortunately there were different spring rolls here than we are used to at Taumi, which is why only 4 stars. In Aachen it is best to reserve a table in the evening.

Very good place especially for team events or for a date. Foods are delicious, atmosphere is elegant and people working there are friendly. Highly recommend.

Place seems nice and the food was great. To bad that my plate was damaged. There was no music at all, possible that they had some technical problems. At 21:30 staff began cleaning up tables and at 21:50 everyone had to pay. Place had like full 6 tables where people were still eating. This and lack of background music really ruined the atmosphere. Food was great tho.

The portions are a bit on the small side sadly but quality worth the price

We had summer rolls and Pho Bo as starters and then shared a sushi platter between us. The pho and sushi were VERY tasty, the summer rolls were okay. Of course it wasn't super cheap, but the quality was noticeable. And we each had several drinks, an appetizer, a sushi platter and dessert. It was justified for that. The waiters were very attentive and friendly and the food came at exactly the right time so we never had to wait too long. We were very satisfied and would love to come back!

We ate here during a city trip. The restaurant is nicely decorated and has a small terrace. The service was nice, but sometimes didn't understand everything. The food, we had sushi, was beautifully prepared and tasted very good!

Overpriced low quality sushi. Ordered an expensive item on the menu. The order was not complete with many missing pieces and no salad. The waitresses were never available to address the issue. Looking at the score here and the experience I got at this place, I cannot emphasize enough how underwhelming this felt. I have felt genuine sadness eating at this place and had to force myself to finish the food, given the price.

Where do I even start with this review, don't be fooled by the score and the absurdly positive reviews here like I did. I decided to order the second most expensive sushi menu since every review said the sushi is the best the ever had, what I received as a "chef special" was some fake crab rolls that smelled fishy and made my stomach feel sick. Added to that, the number of pieces was inaccurate to the menu description with several rolls missing 2 to 3 pieces each. The included wakame salad was never delivered on top of all that. When it came time to pay, I disputed the payment since the menu was blatantly lacking in quality and did not match the description, instead I got some sad looks by the staff which made me want to pay the full price since I felt bad, what do I get in return? They laugh at us.. save your money and time, never go here.

An unexpectedly good experience considering German food standards. The staff may not speak English very well, but after all, the restaurant is located in Germany. Huge portions, dishes presented in an interesting way, very affordable prices. Worth to visit!

We first went to Taumi with three people. Very tasty food. The menu card was richly illustrated, making it easy to find something suitable. We would be happy to come back to this Asian restaurant that has only been in Aachen for two years.

At first glance it was a nice restaurant, unfortunately it was bitterly cold inside, the service was very friendly but unfortunately not really attentive (you had to wait a long time before you could order drinks, and no one asked if you wanted to order something new) The taste of the food was ok, but I expected more for the price. However, I personally had problems with my gastrointestinal tract afterwards.

I have been here twice and will come again. Sushi rolls and sets have good portions, this set for example was enough and even more than for 3 people. The taste is very good, all is fresh and of good quality. The drinks, we took cocktails and lemonade, were original and tasty too. It's also about the atmosphere which is important. We could choose a table indoors or outdoors and the views, deco and all the conveniences were just great. The service and staff also friendly. I would only suggest that when visitors come, waiters ask if visitors would love to have regular or training chopsticks for sushi - for some people, especially less experienced with sushi, that would help a lot and make the experience even better. In general, can only recommend this place.

Overall rather disappointing! The toilets smelled like sewage and there were no soap or towels to dry your hands. Instead of a sushi roll with tofu we ordered, we got one with salmon. When we complained about it, the error was blamed on us: we had ordered the wrong number, which was definitely not the case. The roll couldn't be exchanged because another sushi roll from the same plate had already been started... incomprehensible and doesn't make any sense. In my opinion, it was a disgrace towards the customer, especially since there were eight of us and we left enough money there. Additionally, the plastic skin of the shrimp in my sushi was not removed before it was fried. It's a shame because the restaurant was very nice and the rest of the food and drinks were delicious.

I love going out for a fancy meal, even if it's expensive. I am impressed by the freshness of the food and the extremely friendly staff. Above all, big praise for the owner Mr. Kleinefeld, he knows his craft. Top Taumi can only be recommended! 5 Stars

We had promised ourselves something more. Starters: We didn't like the satay skewer at all, and the spring roll wasn't really usable either. Main course: Pho soup, was good, curry with chicken was very tasty, but way too spicy for me, so I gave up halfway through. The waiter was very friendly and the decor made it a nice change from other Asian restaurants.

Was a spontaneous restaurant test. The reception by the staff was a bit taciturn and grumpy. The order was taken after what seemed like an eternity, although various employees walked past the table and only a few tables were occupied. The meals we ordered, on the other hand, were very nicely prepared and very tasty. When it comes to food it is recommended. If the friendliness is adjusted a little it will be perfect. Been there again now and everything was perfect. Went here for dinner with a reservation. Everything was almost empty but we got a table at the entrance. There was constant draft there because the outside door didn't close automatically. Staff were approached about changing tables, which was then done after a few questions. 80% of all tables were free and then a table change was made into an act of state. Food was good as always but the next visits will probably be put on hold now.

Both ambience and service, quite pleasant. The store is very nice and inviting, service is very friendly. Unfortunately, when the starters arrive at the table they don't look as shown on the memory card and are rather sad. The portions of the main course are very small and I also find the prices extremely exaggerated. You only get FULL if you order a lot but then you also lose a lot of money. Or you can go to Mac's afterwards.

I rated it as four because I think the price is a little high and only one waiter was at our time for all the tables. However, the rest of things, such as environment and food is okay, even some of them innovative like the tuna ! I recommend it.

Katastrophal. Den Besuch hier kann ich niemandem empfehlen. Ich war gestern mit einer Freundin da und wir haben verschiedene Sushi Sorten bestellt. Es kam Sashimi an, obwohl wir crunchy rolls bestellt hatten. Wir beide haben ein Problem damit, reinen rohen Fisch zu essen. Wir wollten vom Kellner, dass uns das Essen gebracht wird, was wir bestellt hatten. Er hat das Essen dreimal in die Küche gebracht und ist damit zu uns zurückgekommen und meinte, er könne nichts machen. Die Köche haben sich geweigert, unser eigentlich bestelltes Essen zuzubereiten, und das ungewünschte Essen zurückzunehmen. !Wir könnten anscheinend nur unsere eigene Bestellung dazubestellen und müssten beides zahlen! Also auch das Essen, was wir nicht wollten und nicht essen können! Wir haben das sashimi nicht gegessen und mussten am Ende dafür bezahlen. Das ist Leistungserschleichung und absolut unprofessionell. Das habe ich in einem Restaurant noch nie erlebt. Absolut unmöglich und frech. Diese Unverschämtheit sollte sich niemand zumuten. Vor Allem bei der Preisklasse des Restaurants undenkbar! Das war eindeutig mein letzter Besuch, ich denke niemand sollte herkommen. Wer weiß, was auf dem Teller landet - nicht das, was man bestellt hat.

Schönes Ambiente, leckeres Essen. Portionen etwas kleiner als erhofft.

Das Taumi ist ein modernes Asiatisches Restaurant mit einer frischen und erfrischenden Küche. Die bestellten Sushi waren handwrrklich und geschmavklich auf grhobenem Niveau. Nur die Lage ist hinter der Elisen Gelerie etwas sup optimal, wobei es den Vorteil hat sehr ruhig zu liegen.

We were having dinner at this restaurant and at the first glance it was a nice and cozy place. However, a few hours later after the visit my gf had a food poisoning, needed to vomit and spent the whole next day in bed with temperature trying to recover. She didn’t eat anywhere else on the day of the visit except the lunch at home where we both ate the same freshly cooked meal and I am feeling totally fine. So the place where poisoning happened is clear to us. After reading reviews I see that it happened to other people here as well. So we will avoid this place from now on and recommend to do the same to others.

Etwas zu kalte Räumlichkeit (Temperatur)

Wir waren an einem Samstagabend dort, das Restaurant war ausgebucht. Der Service war sehr nett und zuvorkommend, wir haben keine 15 Minuten auf unser Essen gewartet. Insgesamt gibt es nichts auszusetzen, bis auf ein paar Kleinigkeiten: - Die Tische waren sehr klebrig und abgenutzt - Das Besteck und die Papierservietten wurden separat gebracht, ein bereits eingedeckter Tisch mit Stoffservietten hätte einen hochwertigeren Eindruck gemacht - Insgesamt war es sehr laut, da keine räumlich Trennung zu anderen Tischen bestand Alles in einem ist das Taumi auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert, das Sushi ist sehr zu empfehlen und für Vegetarier gibt es ebenfalls eine große Auswahl.

Solides Essen, es kam mir aber so vor, als wolle das Restaurant in einer höheren Klasse spielen und wird dem nicht gerecht. Geschmacklich war das Essen gut, beim Anrichten des Sushis hätte man sich aber mehr Mühe geben können. Der Service hat uns beim Ankommen zunächst gar nicht wahrgenommen, trotz Reservierung, ansonsten war dieser aber sehr freundlich. Das Ambiente sieht schön aus, es war allerdings sehr laut. Evtl. Könnte man durch platzieren von Schallschluckenden Elementen dem entgegenwirken. Durch den hohen Lärmpegel fühlte man sich leider teilweise wie in einer Kantine. Allgemein war das Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis leider nicht zufriedenstellend.

Ich versuche die Bewertung sachlich und gut darzustellen. Das Restaurant ist vom Ambiente schön. Service war auch gut. Aber das Essen kann ich nicht als gut heißen und der Gang zur Toilette hat keine Stunde gebraucht, Bauchschmerzen waren auch dabei da ich mit meiner Verlobten da war kann ich Ihnen auch versichern, dass es von denen war da sie von den Problemen nicht verschont wurde.

The interior is very modern and nice. We were sweating a bit on a warm Sunday evening. The service was good at the beginning but after more guests arrived, the staff didn’t check on us for drinks as frequently. The food was served very quickly and looked good. However the almost nude spring rolls tasted just ok, poorly wrapped together so it fell apart as soon as we tried to eat it. My Udon noodle with shrimps was in my opinion overcooked, too soft for me. The other guests liked their food though so maybe we will visit again.

Schönes Restaurant mit leckeren asiatischen Essen.

Sehr zuvorkommender Service sowie eine gute Auswahl an unterschiedlichen Gerichten. Ich war bereits 2-mal dort und bisher hat sich auch beim zweiten mal die Qualität des Essens sowie des Services nicht verschlechtert. Das Ambiente ist auch sehr schön, allerdings ist es relativ laut, sobald viel los ist.

Mit mehreren Personen dort gewesen, die eine Hälfte bekam nach einer gefühlten Ewigkeit ihre Getränke die anderen nicht. Dazu kamen lange Wartezeiten beim Essen. Zwischendurch wurden Getränke vergessen .Als das Essen kam....ja nichts besonderes. Damen Toilette roch stank nach verstopften Abfluss . Zweiter Besuch ist unwahrscheinlich.

Ich war schon oft da essen und ausnahmslos war das Essen immer sehr gut. Die Servicekräfte sind auch immer nett und freundlich und das Ambiente wirklich angenehm.

Das Essen ist sooo gut! der Service ist zwar nett, aber sehr schlecht organisiert. 1.) wir wurden trotz Reservierung an den Katzentisch direkt an der Theke gesetzt. Obwohl viele andere Tische freie waren Die Kellner liefen die ganze Zeit um uns herum auf und ab und rempelten uns an oder telefonierten laut direkt an unserem Tisch. 2.) Das Personal war mit dem Bestell System überfordert. Wir mussten das Essen selbst ins iPad eingeben. 3.) wir durften keine Karte am Tisch behalten um nochmal reinzuschauen. 4.) trotz unseres Tisches an der Theke war es schwer neue Getränke zu bestellen. Schade! Das macht das Feeling einer Imbissbude. Wir haben uns nicht wohl gefühlt

Das Essen war köstlich mit wunderbaren Aromen und toller Präsentation. Das Personal war durchaus freundlich und aufmerksam jedoch hatte man nach kurzer Zeit das Gefühl von "Eat'n go". Da wir uns in der sehr turbulenten Vorweihnachtszeit mit zahhllosen Weihnachtsfeiern bzw in dem Fall - essen und Weihnachtsmarktbesuchern aus aller Welt befinden nehmen wir dies vorerst als Entschuldigung. Wir werden es nach dieser Zeit noch einmal versuchen und schauen ob es grundsätzlich eine Abfertigung ist oder ob es saisonbedingt war.

Top Essen und ein super netter Kellner. Wir kommen wieder.
