Plenty to eat and full of flavor

Without doubt the finest culinary experience I’ve had in Aachen. I ordered the 'Pikante Ente knusprig gebacken nach Art des Hauses with gebratener Reis'. The duck was perfectly crispy with a sauce that was delicately spicy. It was accompanied by excellently seasoned stir-fried vegetables, and I highly recommend pairing it with a glass of red wine, a perfect match suggested by the staff. Although I was never a fan of Asian cuisine due to my earlier experiences in Thai restaurants, this place completely changed my view. My friend ordered the Scampis vom Wok mit frischem Gemüse & Chili-Kokos, which was very different from anything I had tasted before, absolutely incredible. For dessert, I highly recommend the gebackenes Eis flambiert, a great finale to the meal. The staff were attentive, warm, and professional. Despite the restaurant being full, the service was impressively quick. Highly recommended, perfect for couples, families, or professional dinners!

My favorite restaurant in Aachen, although I usually combine my meal there with a trip to the movies. The food is excellent, and the service is very friendly and attentive. I feel very comfortable in this restaurant because of the atmosphere. In my approximately 20 visits so far, I have never been disappointed.

The restaurant appears to no longer exist. Everything is covered with paper and it doesn't look like it's been renovated.

I highly recommend a visit at lunchtime. The lunch menu offers a variety of dishes to choose from. For starters, choose a soup or homemade spring roll (+2€). The sweet and sour or spicy duck is delicious. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff. Reservations are recommended.

A quality experience... The place looks quite unpretentious from outside but once inside one quickly grasps that this place offers "something extra". The service, the food, the drinks were impeccable. It turned out to be the best food experience on our 4 week round trip - without breaking the bank.

Simply one of the best restaurants in the area. Anyone who lives in Aachen or nearby should definitely go here. I can only warmly recommend eating here regularly for several years.

We waited half an hour before we got to the table to see if we had made a reservation! The food was very poor and you could only get new supplies at an additional cost. Waited a long time before the food was there. Not recommended

Very tasty fried duck with rice and vegetables. The salmon was perfect and tastefully delicious. Fast service and super friendly. It's always worth going out for lunch.

It was my first time at Genghis Khan, an Asian restaurant. I was surprised at how full it was, a reservation (at least on weekends) is mandatory here. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the service is very friendly and knows how to deal with guests. The selection on the menu is more Asian standard and to be expected. Baked duck, beef dishes, lamb dishes, some fish and shrimp dishes. I had the house style baked duck. Not exceptional per se, but everything is of good quality. Crunchy vegetables, lightly seasoned, a separate sauce and above all a very good duck breast. Gladly again!

Dschingis Chan is an excellent address for fans of Mongolian and Asian cuisine 😍 I particularly appreciated the freshness of the ingredients and the possibility of composing your own dish, which is then cooked to order. The service is fast and friendly ❤️, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is pleasant. The vegetarian and gluten-free options are a real plus. In summary, a great culinary experience with good value for money!

Unfortunately very bland, tasteless, poorly seasoned food. We had the Genghis Khan platter for 2 people and none of the 4 dishes were tasty. We were very disappointed and would not come again despite the great atmosphere.

The soup comes with boiled vegetables and water, so ask for it knowing that all the plates had boiled vegetables and sauces, they were amazingly delicious.

Very tasty Asian food in a stylish atmosphere.

Disappointing service and lack of organization We called the Genghis Khan restaurant on November 10, 2024 at 5:45 p.m. because we had previously celebrated our mother's birthday. She spontaneously wanted to eat there, which is why we tried to make a reservation at short notice. When we made the reservation, we also mentioned that it was our mother's birthday - which made it all the more disappointing how the evening turned out. We called the restaurant at 5:45 p.m. to reserve a table for 4 people at short notice for 7:00 p.m. We were told that a table would not be available until 7:30 p.m. We accepted that. However, we arrived promptly at 7:30 p.m. and were left waiting at the entrance. After about 10 minutes we politely asked why we couldn't get a table despite having a reservation. Instead of making any effort to clarify the situation, we were simply told that we had to wait another 10 minutes or so. No excuse, no solution. At 7:50 p.m. we tried to talk again and pointed out that it wasn't okay to keep us waiting that long - especially since we had left our number when we made the reservation by phone and could have been informed about a possible delay. In the past, when we made reservations at 5:30 p.m., we were told that we would have to vacate the table by 7:30 p.m. at the latest. The question arises as to whether there are double standards here. A short wait of 5-10 minutes is acceptable, but waiting half an hour for a reserved table is unacceptable. What's particularly annoying is that we've been 15 minutes late in the past, but we informed the restaurant in good time to ensure that our reservation still stood. Because that’s how you treat each other with respect. We ended up leaving the restaurant at 7:55 p.m. without eating. The lack of service, the lack of organization and the indifference of the staff leave an extremely bad impression. Especially on our mother's birthday, this behavior was unacceptable and a complete disappointment. We will avoid the restaurant in the future and cannot recommend it.

My partner and I were guests there on a Tuesday evening to celebrate our anniversary with dinner. The reservation was easy over the phone. The employee who greeted us was extremely friendly and accommodating. We got a wonderful table and the restaurant itself had a really nice atmosphere. The waiting times between orders were reasonable and the employees were quick. We had nothing to complain about the food, everything was perfect down to the smallest detail and even the final drink everything was great. At the end we were treated to a dessert which really surprised us and we thank you very much for that. All in all, this evening was one of the most beautiful restaurant experiences we had and we are very grateful to the staff for giving us such a lovely evening, thank you! We definitely recommend the restaurant and will definitely come back again!

I can only agree with the very positive reviews so far. It was our granddaughter's birthday and it was celebrated in a very surprising way for me, in the truest sense of the word by the service. With decorations, sparklers and music. Unexpected but very thoughtful and beautiful. Thanks to all!!! A very likeable owner, as well as the complete, very attentive and friendly service staff, were exceptional for today's times. In addition, a really nice and appealing ambience, very tasteful and particularly delicious dishes, as well as their very decorative placement on the table. There were 8 of us and we were all very impressed. Since we don't come from Aachen, I personally didn't know this restaurant. However, I would be happy to recommend it and would also be happy to visit it again.

They recognize their regular customers and even remember their orders from the last time - this is truly a personal and exceptional service that is rarely found. The food is of excellent quality. I can particularly recommend the wok chicken (S1) – it is always fresh and perfectly prepared. Whether you try something new or stick with your favorites, the dishes are always of the highest standard. Me encantó! El personal era muy amable y amable, que hablaba inglés con fluidez y era muy servicial. El lugar estaba lleno de lugareños un domingo por la noche, pero nos dijeron que volviéramos en 15 minutos y nos encontraron una mesa. La comida era excelente. Tuvimos el plato compartido y todo estaba sabroso. Sus bebidas eran alcohólicas de la mejor manera y su coco panna cotta era una manera encantadora de terminar la comida. Lo recomendaría mucho!

Very tasty food in a cozy atmosphere!

Really a great restaurant! The prices are of course a little more expensive (map is available online), but the price-performance ratio is still very good! The ambience is really nice, the service is good (but nothing special). But the food is the real reason that I can recommend this restaurant so much! It always tastes really good, I can especially recommend the platters for 2 people. Either way, you'll definitely be full (large portions)! All in all, always a good experience!

For my birthday we went to Genghis Khan with our children 3 days ago! Since my daughter had mentioned her birthday when making the reservation, I was first congratulated by the cellars. The table was beautifully decorated, the food - as always - was delicious and the waiters were incredibly attentive and very nice! At the end I had a fried ice cream dessert with a sparkler and everyone had plum wine! We had a very nice evening and it certainly wasn't our last time in this restaurant!

Yesterday I called to book a table for the evening and noted that it was my birthday. When my partner and I arrived, I was shaken and wished a happy birthday. Our table was beautifully decorated with rose petals. After the delicious starter, the manager personally congratulated me and chatted with us for a while. As always, the food tasted very good. When I asked for the bill, I was surprised with a dessert served with a lit sparkler and flambéed at the table. I have never been treated so attentively and courteously in a restaurant that was, as always, busy. I really felt like a person of honor on my birthday and would therefore like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the excellent personal service! We'd love to come back.

Great authentic, sophisticated crossover Asian cuisine under long-standing, cross-generational management as well as delicious non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, in a familiar, clean, competent and professional atmosphere. Attentive, friendly, unobtrusive and capable service. Good value for money! Far away from the tourist restaurants often seen in the city, but a tourist-friendly inner-city location. We had made a reservation by phone for 7 p.m. (probably recommended due to the occupancy), we were thrilled and would happily recommend the restaurant without reservation. The food was really good and very tasty, the duck was favourable and crispy on the outside. I don't know the name but the dish with the peanut butter sauce was surprisingly good. The service was good and the atmosphere was very nice.

We had a very nice, albeit expensive, evening! Top service, very attentive, something you rarely see. Food is good, you can manage to eat well, even with a starter/dessert. Very small card! There are no special dishes for vegetarians, only a few meat dishes can be made with tofu. All changes cost extra! What I like best is the extra drinks menu with exceptional cocktails - I had two, Pink Buddha is very tasty. I also like the ambience, very elegant with white tablecloths. Will definitely come back.

This restaurant was fully booked when we visited on a Friday evening. All German guests, not a single Chinese. The service was good. The food is ok but definitely not authentic Chinese cuisine. The portion is on the smaller side.

The meal was satisfying. The price-performance was sufficient. The food lacked some flavor. It was too narrow and too dark for me. The service was nice. We had crispy house-style duck with passion fruit. Both were a bit bland to boring. There wasn't enough rice for 2 people.

Das Essen war gut, die Bedienung freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Einrichtung müsste teilweise mal überarbeitet werden. Die Bezüge der Stühle waren eingerissen und durchgesessen. Die Peking Gulasch Suppe alleine ist schon einen Besuch wert, zum Reinsetzen.😄

We are excited!! Due to Corona, we ordered our food and picked it up locally. The food was still warm where we lived in Würselen. The food was super tasty. Furthermore, the portions are really big! If you want to eat good gastronomic dishes at home, I can only warmly recommend this restaurant. Now we're testing the restaurant's delivery service to Würselen! I will report 👍👍

This was my second time in this restaurant. The food is delicious! I would say adapted for the German palate. There are no typical traditional Chinese/Cantonese dishes, such as dimsum. This is not a criticism, just information if you are looking for traditional Chinese cuisine like in Maastricht. The food is delicious, no question. Price performance: 21 euros for a duck dish. I find it a bit expensive that's why only 4 stars. By the way, you can do it alone. No leftovers to pack up, meaning the portions are just right. We ate everything even though we still had starters. Cozy. Service top! Very attentive staff. There is an extra wine list.

Sehr gutes Essen. Immer lecker und gut gewürzt. Sind häufiger dort und meist sehr zufrieden. Allerdings war es Ende des Jahres immer sehr voll und der Service hat darunter gelitten. Mehrfach Getränke vergessen bzw. lange keine Möglichkeit neu zu bestellen und ein Essen kam deutlich später als die anderen bzw. es musste sogar nachgefragt werden. Das haben wir viele Jahre vorher nie erlebt.

Das beste Chinarestaurant in Aachen. Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich. Man ist für sich, obwohl man nah an den anderen Tischen sitzt. Das Essen wird nett angerichtet und schmeckt fabelhaft. Der Service ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend, dafür zahlt man gerne etwas mehr als üblich.

Eine ganz klare Empfehlung. Das Ambiente ist gehoben und modern. Man fühlt sich wohl in dieser Atmosphäre. Kein Vergleich mit den "Klassischen" Chinesischen Restaurants. Die Preise sind etwas gehoben aber meiner Meinung nach auch gerechtfertigt. Das Essen war sehr gut zubereitet und lecker. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
