Tasty India in Köln

When I entered this place I was amazed by the welcoming atmosphere. A touch of India in the heart of Cologne. The food was authentic and the service staff was incredibly attentive. Worth a visit every time.

We really enjoy eating Indian food often, but the dishes here at Tasty India are so delicious, spicy and wholesome that we simply have to give it 5 stars. Tina and Diggi

Very tasty curries and particularly good garlic naan. Service is very friendly, food comes quickly. The atmosphere is intimate, there is only one dining room. Many people order by phone and pick up.

Tasty India, the name does what it promises. I have been in isolation at the university hospital for a week and have ordered delivery twice during that time. Chicken curry with rice and naan and lamb curry with spinach, rice and naan. Both excellent, spicy and not only tasty, but also plentiful. They were kind enough to bring the food to me on the 12th floor, hot and hot, without any hassle. I'm a restaurateur myself and can only say chapeau. Thank you very much and gladly again....

The food was really excellent. Well seasoned to suit the local palate but still authentic. There is a great selection of vegetarian dishes and the mango lassi is definitely one of the best in Cologne. The service was a little edgy at first, but warmed up to us quite quickly and was attentive but not intrusive. The restaurant itself was very pleasant. The tables were a good size for two. Unfortunately, the toilets were far below expectations. The floor in the men's toilet is extremely sticky, which is why there is a clear need for expansion. (That's ultimately the one star deduction) In terms of price, this restaurant is above the usual student budget. The main courses mostly cost between €14 and €18. Drinks between €3 and €6 (excluding wines). Overall, this place is highly recommended. Thanks to the staff and bon appetit :) (The price we paid is a little lower than usual because we were able to redeem a discount voucher. By the way, that worked more than problem-free)

The worst Indian food in Cologne. It even seems like a bad joke that the restaurant is named “Tasty Indian.” The meat dishes are a rip-off; for example, the lamb Vindaloo had way more potatoes than lamb by far. The Aaj Ki Daal lentils were so bad we had to throw them in the trash. Even something as simple and hard to mess up as naan bread was extremely mediocre. Very dissatisfied with the food quality to the point of feeling cheated. I suggest you have dignity and respect for your wallet and order food elsewhere!!!

Super fast delivery and tasty food. Ordered online and took the lamb curry and starters. Perfectly hot and tasty food, recommend.

The food was great, but unfortunately the service was the opposite - unfriendly and inattentive. We asked for more rice because the portion was just far too small for three people. The waitress said that wouldn't work. Then luckily someone came out of the kitchen and saved the situation by saying it wasn't a problem, we could get as much as we wanted. We waited an extremely long time for our bill and when we got it, people grimaced because we wanted to divide the bill in half. Then she went away, served other customers first and when she came back after 20 minutes, she asked if we had calculated who was paying how much, which we then did ourselves and she didn't even check. It's also a shame that the tables are very small and you sit very squashed with four people at one table. Not conducive to the atmosphere. Because the food was very good, 3 stars were still a shame - it could easily have been 5. What you can also say about the food is that there are many vegetarian dishes. Tofu was super tasty!

They have a nice menu and food is also nice. But I am writing this review particularly for onion pakoda, they need to learn how to make pakoda. I received fried onion slices (literally oil dripping from them). pakodas are not onion slices with sprinkles of flour on each piece,very dissapointing.

Great food, unique atmosphere and nice service!

Yesterday, me and my friends ordered 2 Lamm curries and 1 chicken curry. Lamm Curry was okay ( although it contains only tomato sauce, and chili powder), but chicken was stinking. I can't unfortunately recommend this place.

I've been going to Tasty India regularly for lunch for years. For me the most delicious Indian food in Cologne! The restaurant has a cozy, Indian atmosphere and the owners are attentive and friendly.

The food in the restaurant was wonderful. The service also seems to be very mindful of what the customer needs. We will come more often.

The store had my first review deleted from Google....that's probably how they chose the 4.4 stars - always only leave the good reviews...the food is definitely not worth it

I've ordered from this restaurant twice now and both times the food was delivered significantly late. (delivered after 1:20 min) It seems that the organization doesn't work well here. Each time I had to call to remind them that I placed an order. This is extremely annoying and takes away the joy of eating. The food itself is fine, but unfortunately the poor service and repeated delays make the overall experience very disappointing. I hope the restaurant can improve its delivery processes so customers don't continue to be so frustrated.

Paneer Tikka Masala was very tasty and super nice service. Lots of choice and lots of vegetarian options :)

The waitress was super nice! The shop itself is pretty cute but the food wasn't good at all. The meat was definitely not fresh. We didn't have to pay for it, but it was still stupid because we were really looking forward to it.

The food is really delicious and the prices are fair. We actually always order from Tasty India and have the food delivered, but you can also sit and eat there. There's usually not much going on and you can easily get seats - relaxed! The service is very friendly!

We recently went to Tasty India because we also like Indian food. The food was tasty, but slightly small portions for the price. The service was a bit messy. For example, she knocked over a glass. Unfortunately there was a hair on the plate in one meal which is very unprofessional. We also had to approx. Wait 10 minutes for the bill.

Today we ordered for the first and last time from Tasty India, via Lieferando. The quality and quantity of the food was absolutely subpar. We actually felt sick afterwards. We have rarely eaten so badly. The Chicken Tikka Masala for the proud price of 14.90 euros included five pieces of chicken and the accompanying side dish consisted of three potato slices. The whole thing was topped with a huge spoonful of sauce. The starter plate also looked and was inedible. We will definitely never order here again.

Everything was delicious, lots of paneer/chicken in the dishes and large portions. Very nice staff.

Food was delicious, service was kind and willing to understand even if there was a language barrier and everything was clean and very neat. Definitely a wonderful experience, especially since it was my first time trying desi food. Oh, and everything’s halal, so big bonus point!

We ordered chicken biryani, chicken tikka, naan and lassi. The service was great. I asked in advance that I don't want vegetables in Biryani (as most restaurants serve), so he agreed and made it accordingly. It was superb in taste. Yoghurt was also rich in taste. I don't know why, but Lassi was quite expensive.

Wir waren längere Zeit nicht mehr hier essen und spontan ins Lokal gestolpert. Das Tasty India und die Gerichte sind geschmacklich aufeinander abgestimmt, wir persönlich mögen es sehr. Die Mitarbeiter sind höflich, nett und zuvorkommend, die Preise moderat. Das Chilli Chicken dürfte etwas schärfer sein, aber dass ist Geschmacksache! Das vegetarische Menü kann ich wärmstens empfehlen!! Weiter so, wir kommen jetzt wieder öfters vorbei: Versprochen! 👍🏻

War mit 3 Kollegen dort 18.30 Uhr bestellt und um 19.15 Uhr war das Essen immer noch nicht da. Personal zu langsam,und zuviel Personal dahinter. Keiner weiß genau wie es geht.Nie wieder

Chana Masala war fad und geschmacklos. Das Naan Brot war sehr sehr trocken und verbrannt. Das Hühnchen war in Ordnung, aber die Portionen waren recht überschaubar.

Via Lieferdienstbestellung. Naan super lecker. Knusprig und frisch zu gleich. Samosas genau richtig. Mangolassi zum reinlegen köstlich. Und auch die Hauptgerichte waren köstlich. Hoffentlich keine Ausnahme. Definitiv der neue go-to für indische Gerichte. Und Fahrer war außerordentlich freundlich.

Zum mitnehmen gut, vor Ort essen nicht zu empfehlen

Hab bei euch schon öfter bestellt und liebe das Paneer Korma!! Beim letzten mal hatte der Wolt Fahrer aber ein Essen vertauscht und es kam das falsche bei mir an. Als ich anrief wussten alle direkt bescheid und obwohl es 5 Min vor Schließung des Ladens war, wurde mir das richtige Essen von einem anderen Fahrer extra noch vorbei gebracht. Abend gerettet trotz des kleinen Unglücks und lecker wie immer <3

Es ist jedes Mal ein Vergnügen bei Tasty India vorbeizukommen und eine kulinarische Reise nach Indien zu genießen. Das Essen schmeckt sehr authentisch - der wahre Geschmack Indiens eben. Der Inhaber ist sehr herzlich und aufmerksam. Es wird auf individuelle Bedürfnisse eingegangen. Auch die Atmosphäre ist sehr einladend. Mein Lieblings-indisches Restaurant in ganz Köln (und Deutschland).

Aiaiai wie kann man naan Brot so verhunzen 😳 wollte einen schnellen Snack dachte mir lecker naan Brot vom Inder. Brot war komplett trocken, trockenes Knoblauch draufgepampt, leider geschmacklich ein Reinfall. Dann die Alufolie in der es eingepackt war voller schmieriger Fingerabdrücke. Alles in allem leider keine Empfehlung. Wenn so ein absoluter Basic (den jeder Zuhause in der Pfanne besser hinbekommt) schon so schlecht ist, wie ist dann der Rest der Karte.

Das Essen (Lamb Goan und Chicken Vindaloo) war sehr lecker und wurde noch heiß geliefert😋 Das Naan war in allen Variationen sehr lecker und auch noch heiß😊

Chicken Curry, Paneer Tikka Masala und Aloo Tikkis waren alle komplett ungewürzt. Das Essen hat so geschmeckt als hätte man kein Tadka gemacht, sondern auf die basic Tomatensauce Gewürze einfach reingeworfen. Die Gewürze wurden nicht richtig eingekocht sowie waren kaum Zwiebeln Knoblauch oder Ingwer verarbeitet. Hähnchen sehr zäh. Chicken curry und Paneer tikka masala Soße hat praktisch gleich nach fast nichts geschmeckt. Aloo Tikki war mehr Kichererbsenmehr als Kartoffeln. Absolut trocken. Reis und Jogurt war gut. Und schnelle Lieferung, aber das reicht nicht.

Das Essen ist sehr, sehr lecker, der Service schnell und freundlich und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis gut. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen!

Top Adresse zum Bestellen, es ist nicht so teuer wie andere Restaurants und das Naan Brot ist absolut lecker. Sehr solides Essen.

Super freundliche Bedienung, wir hatten gemischte Platte bestellt, es war hervorragend. Kommen wieder gerne zurück.

Ich habe schon sehr oft bei Tasty India bestellt und vor Ort gegessen, weil es wirklich immer köstlich war. Seit ungefähr 5 Monaten bin ich allerdings jedes Mal enttäuscht. Vielleicht hat der Koch gewechselt, aber die Gerichte sind nicht mehr gut. Vor allem das Palak Paneer schmeckt mittlerweile wie Rahmspinat mit einem Hauch von Ingwer. Sehr schade, ich fand das Restaurant früher wahnsinnig gut. Das Naan mit Knoblauch ist aber nach wie vor sehr gut.

Ich hatte das Shahi Paneer probiert. Gewürze und Konsistenz der Sauce sind top. Jedoch hat man geschmeckt, dass der Paneerkäse nicht mehr frisch war und es fehlte gänzlich an Eigengeschmack. Der Käse fühlte sich im Mund wie Gummi an… Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt nicht.

Taste was decent but only average. Very oily with it leaking out and getting all over everything. Had to spoon oil out of 2/3 dishes. 30 min delivery took 2 hours and the kid went to bed an hour late.

Wir haben über einen Liferdienst bestellt. Die Gerichte Malai Kofta, Butter Chicken, Chicken Goan Curry und die Vorspeisenplatte für 2 Personen waren sehr unterschiedlich im Geschmack und jedes für sich sehr sehr lecker. Als Beilage hatten wir Garlic Naan, Kartoffeln und Reis. Den Kindern, die nur teilweise pikant vertragen, hat es auch sehr gut geschmeckt. Vielen Dank! 🙏🏽

Wir waren heute zu sechst Mittagessen und allen hat’s Sekt gut geschmeckt! Es gab Optionen mit Lammhühnchen und auch vegetarisch. Der Mango lass sie ist zu empfehlen.

It was a few weeks ago but I remember being disappointed. My vindaloo wasn't really spicy enough. I think they also mixed up my naan.

Service ist gut und zuvorkommend. Essen ist zu sehr an den deutschen Geschmack angepasst. Der hier auch schon häufiger verwendete Begriff ist jedoch absolut unberechtigt. Alles sehr mild fast schon generisch.

Teigtaschen sehr trocken und geschmacklos, Suppe versalzen, Hähnchen ok, Reis der schlechteste den ich bis jetzt beim Inder gegessen habe

Sehr gutes Essen zu moderaten Preisen. Ambiente ist niedlich und der Service war Top. Alles in allem ein sehr empfehlenswertes Restaurant, auch zum Bestellen bestens geeignet.

Exotisch gewürzt, gute Kombination an Gemüse. Reis und Naan ( indisches Brot) wird gratis nachgereicht. Sonst eine gute Adresse wenn jemand indische Gerichte bevorzugt.

Haben heute dort bestellt. Einmal Butter Chicken, Biryani und Palak Paneer. Alle drei Gerichte waren vom Geschmack her sehr langweilig bzw. fast geschmackslos. Außerdem war die Lieferzeit selbst für einen Sonntag doch sehr lang (1,5h). Insgesamt würde ich sagen indisches Essen geht bei weitem besser.

Ernsthaft? Was soll das denn sein? Das Chicken Korma schmeckt wie Curryhuhn in der Jugendherberge oder Schulmensa. Oder als hätte Gitti oder Harald es nach einem Rezept von Chefkoch und ausschließlich mit Fertig- und Dosenzutaten zubereitet.

Tolles keines Restaurant mit authentischer Küche. Habe zwar noch nicht die ganze Karte durchprobiert, aber bislang war von den Vorspeisen und Hauptgerichten alles immer super lecker. Bestellen meist zum mitnehmen, geht immer schnell und das Personal ist ebenfalls sehr zuvorkommend (auch wenn man vor Ort isst). Preislich auch alles im normalen Rahmen. Freu mich schon aufs nächste Mal ;)

Hab das Chicken Curry bestellt und muss sagen ich bin mehr als nur zufrieden nicht nur das dass essen wirklich lecker war wurden wir auch noch sehr freundlich begrüßt und behandelt Zum Essen Das Fleisch war so zart das man es mit der Zunge zerdrücken konnte die Schärfe war perfekt so wie die restliche Mischung an Gewürzen Zur Bedienung Wir wurden sehr nett begrüßt und die Dame war sehr zuvorkommend Zum Lokal Es sieht absolut schön aus ist gemütlich und die Musik ruhig und angenehm und die Wand Malereien gefallen mir auch sehr gut 5/5 es ist wirklich sehr zu empfehlen ☺️

Ich habe noch nie, so gutes Chicken Curry gegessen.. Super Hähnchen, nicht gefroren. Einfach toll. Super schnelle Lieferung , von freundlichen Menschen. Milchreis mit Kokosnuss und Kardamom. Sehr lecker! Würde man 10 Sterne geben können, würde ich das machen. Sehr zu empfehlen. Toll!❤

I have ordered Lamb Biriyani. I am sorry to say this, you are running Indian restaurant but you do not cook authentic Indian food. In India we do not put Capsicum or raisin in Biriyani. There are several types of biriyani in India. But this kind of Biriyani I never ate. You are portraying a wrong Indian culture to others. Just a bit of advice. Hire an Indian Chef, who can cook authentic Indian Food.

Die Qualität des Essens war nicht gut. Das Fleisch wurde sehr schlecht verarbeitet. Die Gewürze waren jedoch gut gewählt. Die Beilage Nan Brot war sehr lecker.
